We woke up early to get ready. I changed into my biker suit, it was going to be a tough mission and for it I need some clothes that doesn't rip very easily. Waluigi changed into his soccer outfit and then we all ate some breakfast consisting of toast and cereal. Polari and Luma had no idea of what I was going to do today, that was maybe for the best. Or else they would come with me and maybe get hurt. Waluigi knew though, and I was worried that he was going to loose focus on the game if he worried about me. But he didn't look very worried, more confident than worried actually. Good, or else I would never forgive myself for telling him about my mission.

When we were done with breakfast it was time to leave. We went out the door and out on the backstreet of the building.

''So... I guess I'll have to say goodbye for now.'' I said. Waluigi nodded silently and Polari stared at me. ''What? Where are you going?'' He asked.

''I'm... just going to do some quick errands.'' I lied, Polari didn't seem that convinced. ''Rosalina, whatever it is: I'm going with you.''

''I'll be fine, Polari. I can do this myself. Go with Waluigi and cheer on him for me. You too Luma.''

''Are you sure you'll be alright on your own?'' Luma asked. I nodded. ''Very well, see you later mama.''

Waluigi and my Lumas started walking. But only after a few steps, Waluigi turned around to look at me. ''Rosalina...'' He started.

''Yes?'' I asked.

''I... I-I... Good luck...''

I smiled. ''Good luck to you too.''

We then parted our ways and went to our respective destinations. I used my magic to get up on the roof of a building and started walking from roof to roof so nobody would notice me. Toadsworth said that the space cannon were in Ludwig's fortress near Mushroom city. I kind of knew where Mushroom city was, and if I needed help I had signs on the paths that could guide me to it.

After a while of walking on a path away from Diamond city, I could see another big city in front of me. And just outside of it: a small castle. That mush be Ludwig's fortress! I started to float towards it in a fast pace and stopped right by a nearby forest. The fortress looked tough to get into, but with my magic it would be no biggie.

I tried to make myself as invisible as possible, you could still see my outlines if you looked close enough but it'll have to do. I started to float closer to the fortress, there were some Goomba guards outside, but not that many. I sneaked to the backside of the fortress and cut a hole in the wall and sealed it up again so nobody would notice. I seemed to have entered a long hallway, I walked for a while and kept my ears sharpened, you never knew who could suddenly come through here.

Then I noticed a sign on the wall. Let's see, bathroom to the right, left tower right ahead and cannon to the left! There it is! But they shouldn't have signs here. Intruders like me could find anything...

I went to the left until I came to a room with several koopa guards guarding several doors. I had to create a distraction to get them away so I could open the doors. I thought for a moment, then made a smooth movement with my wand and casted a spell in the hallway so the wall exploded just a tiny bit to make a small hole. The sound made every koopa get out of the room and into the hallway. Now was my chance! I quickly looked on the doors. They all had signs on them telling what was behind them. Seriously, can't they memorize themselves where everything is?

A certain door had a sign with the word ''cannon'' on it. I quickly opened it and went inside. Now I was in some sort of courtyard, with a gigantic cannon in the middle of it all. I could see the magic wands inserted into the cannon. If I just grabbed them then the cannon would power itself down. The only problem was that Ludwig, Roy AND Larry was right next to the cannon having a discussion.

''Roy, you shot last time. Now I wan't to shoot something!'' Larry whined.

''Oh come on! I was the one who DESIGNED this and I haven't gotten to shoot so much myself! It's MY turn now!'' Ludwig said in an angry tone.

''But who's better at shooting with cannons than me? I am the only one professional enough to shoot with it.'' Roy said and giggled.

''Roy, don't be such a baby!'' Ludwig said. ''The designer is the one who knows its creations the most. That means that I know more about the cannon than you both!''

''But I want to shoot!'' Larry whined even more.

I tried to get closer to the cannon, but it felt like the koopalings could see me even if I was mostly invisible. ''Hey, do you hear that?'' Ludwig said. ''Sounds like footsteps.'' Roy said. Larry whined even louder. ''I WANT TO SHOOT! I WANT TO SHOOT!''

Roy and Ludwig sighed. ''Alright! If you'll stop whining about it!''

I had to stop the cannon before they could shoot any more things! I floated up onto the cannon near the wands. I tried to get one out but... it was stuck, they all were. I used a spell, thinking they would come out but no, they were completely stuck!

''Oh, boy! I'm going to shoot an asteroid! Or a spaceship!'' Larry said exitedly.

''Hey, Ludwig. Didn't you shoot down Rosalina's ship before?'' Roy asked.

Ludwig snickered. ''Sure did, dad was so proud of me that day!''

They all laughed as Larry went to his position, ready to shoot whatever was coming by the earth. I tried to use another spell to get the wands loose but it didn't work now either! Please, please come off the cannon! Maybe they will shoot a luma! Please!

I heard the cannon starting to power up for a shot. Larry started to aim for something, I began to panic. Come off stupid wands! I casted another spell, and another, and another. Then, like a miracle. They all got loose. I breathed out and grabbed them all.

''H-Hey, the cannon won't shoot!'' Larry said. That was my moment to leave, the koopalings noticed their wands floating away since they didn't see me and they began to panic. ''Noo! What's happening to the wands?!'' Ludwig yelled. ''Shoot them down!''

''I'm on it!'' Roy said and grabbed his Bill blaster and started aiming for me. He fired, but I simply evaded it my casting a spell on it witch made it fly back towards them instead. I flew away as quickly as possible and landed in the nearby woods. Theese kids shouldn't be allowed to play with magic as they do!

I broke every wand in half, making sure that they could never be used ever again and buried the pieces under the ground. Part one of the mission: done! Now I had to go to Bowser's castle to free the prisoners and blow the place up. Then...

I gulped.

...Defeat Bowser.
