PROLOGUE. The Arrival.

The beauty that is nature could be seen anyway as it gave a sense of peace. The sun was somewhat bright, while much didn't seem to go on for travelers who wished to pass through the highways leading to various places both far and near.

Unfortunately, this sense of peace didn't last well for two merchants and their cart.

"Earth...Earth Dragon!" Shouted one of the men in panic.

For a while, both he and his companion had been traveling through a path as it was part of their journey. But when a giant monster shot out of the ground above them, they knew they were in big trouble.

"I didn't know they came out on highways like these!" Shouted the other merchant.

However, it didn't matter to the monster. It caused their cart to fall to the side and made the men run for their lives while chasing them from behind.

Meanwhile, a boy, no a Young Man at the age of 20 with white hair, black Eyepatch that is meant to hide his cybernetic right eye made from a magical artifact called Demon eye and a wearing black coat with green-colored linings and trimmings on the left side of it has a number 10 emblem printed up front, coupled with a green blazer and a buttoned black shirt underneath it, along with a cravat terminated by a ring tied around his neck. He wears black pants that have gun holsters attached to them, as well as knee-length black boots. And his left arm completely made out of a metal prosthetic with green line patterns although thanks to his ID mask he disguised himself as a Normal person with both fleshed arms and with normal eyes to hide his true identity as well as he turn his white hair brown like before he transformed and as he hid in the shadows he saw the incident and smirked. He didn't mean to express this way for the men's trouble, but for the fact that it was his chance to save more people and show off. As such, he stepped out of the forest pulling out a gun with his right arm. His name is Ben Tennyson.

"Looks like I'll be able to save people even if I don't feel like it, but if it makes my name known while being here fine by me." He said with a grin, reloading his gun and Closing the distance, Ben leaped into the air, aimed his Donner at it and took the shot towards the Danger Beast across the chest. The monster howled in pain, as the bullet went through as blood sprayed from its open wound. Ben came to a skidding stop in front of the beast. ( These are his guns. )

( Instead of having red Color they're Neo Green. )

"A class-one danger beast, Earth Dragon huh...A worthy opponent." The Danger beast let out a mighty roar, causing a smirk to spread across Ben's face. "Looks like I really pissed you off." Letting out another roar, the Earth Dragon smashed its fist into the ground where Ben had been standing. However due to past experience Ben had been prepared for this, and had jumped into the air; dodging the monster's attack. Ben landed on the beast's giant arm, and sprinted towards its head. "It's over now!" With several shots to its head, Ben instantly kills it as its head explodes due to the intense several shots.

'Hmm, good thing I tone down the Mana charged on the bullets otherwise I'll Vulperize it within one shot and that would be a bad center of attention.' Ben thought as he hopped off its decapitated corpse and put back his Donner on his belt hostlers after Parting part of his coat to reveal his schlag resting on his left hostler.

"H-Holy shit..." One of the men breathed out in shock, as he watched the headless danger beast crash into the ground.

"That was amazing kid!" The other man cheered, as he ran towards Ben.

"I can't believe you took out that Danger Beast all by yourself." The first man exclaimed, following behind his friend.

"Mah, it was a piece of cake." Ben shrugged without emotions. "My name's Ben Tennyson but you can call me Ben. I have no interest in making a name for myself but I was hoping to be known in the capital as a fearsome adventurer."

"An adventurer you say?" The first man questioned, quirking an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Yes, is there a problem?" Ben asked, crossing his arms.

"Yes, I'm guessing that you're planning to register yourself in the capital as a hired Adventurer huh?" The second merchant asked.

"Yup, I'm gonna make myself known as an adventurer." Ben said confidently.

"Sad to say kid but Adventurers these days have all but disbanded." Said the first Merchant catching Ben's attention.

"Really?" Ben raised an eyebrow in curiosity and the merchants nodded.

"Well that's sad then, although I did come with three other people here. But we got separated after crossing paths with a now dead bunch of bandits on the way."

This caught the attention of the Merchants as they looked at each other before one asked. "Hey by any chance are your friends headed to the capital to make a name for themselves as well?" Asked the first Merchant.

"Yup, they're hoping to join the military to pay off the taxes for their village and I just happened to tag along." Ben explained as he became serious as they saw two men share a skeptical look. "What?"

"Well, if your friends headed to that Capital I just pray for their survival." The second Merchant said, now getting Ben confused.

"What do you mean?"

"The capital...isn't the shining jewel you think it is..." The second man answered in a serious tone. "It's lively for sure, but it's full of monsters even more grotesque than that Earth Dragon."

"What...so Danger Beasts come into the city too?" Ben asked in a confused tone.

"I'm talking about the people." The second man explained, unconsciously clenching his fists. "People with the hearts of monsters...that's all you'll find in the capital." Ben didn't flinch at all as if he already saw this coming. "I see, hmm." He then went to his deep thoughts. 'So, as I expected this is practically something even worse than what me and my girls endured in Tortus then? Looks like Paradox is not exaggerating at all. But I can't help feeling sorry for the kids who went to the city.' He thought.

"Hey, are you okay kid?"

"Yeah...yeah I'm fine." Ben replied, as he scratched the back of his head. Neither man noticed Ben's emotionless tone. "Well I appreciate your warning, if what you say is true about the capital it shouldn't I be the one worried about, it's them about not getting in my way." He said full of determination on correcting this world. "Anyways, I better look for those guys now, who knows what they got themselves into so I'll get going then." With one last wave, Ben continued down the path towards the capital.

"That kid doesn't know what he's getting himself into." The first man said with a frown on his face.

"I give him three more days tops before he's killed." The second man said, beginning to walk back towards the carriage.

"I don't know. That kid has got some serious skills and guts. He just might be able to make it in the capital." The first man said, sitting down in the carriage. "Now come on. We have to get these supplies to Lubbock at Night Raid's hidden base."
