CHAPTER 1. The Capital.

Ben has managed to find his way to the Capital and to his right it's definitely one of those places that gave way too much of a good impression from off the country people.

"Hmm, just like with Tortus, some kingdoms do like to attract a lot of low minded people for a good impression. But knowing the truth this place reeks." Ben muttered to himself as he glanced around finding no interest at all in this capital. 'Well for a capital it's not half bad. Now to find those guys.' He thought as he casually walked with his bag strapped over his left shoulder. Ben right now is in his civilian uniform which is a plain ol' white hoodie Jacket with a number 10 on the left over a green line pattern he decided to change of clothes to make sure he doesn't attract unwanted attention due to his weird attire in black coat and a metal arm otherwise people would make weird assumptions on him being a bandit and got him arrested. 'If what Paradox and those merchants say about this capital I have to be careful, man I feel undressed in these clothes.' Ben sighs as he puts both his hands behind the back of his head looking bored as he casually uses his demon sensing for his friends. "I wonder where those guys are?" He said Ben then put his hands on both pockets and started walking off. "Welp, better try and ask the authorities for help."

Ben unbeknownst to him As he walked past a small cafe, he never noticed a busty blonde-haired woman sipping her tea. The woman had been listening to Ben the whole time, and she couldn't help but sigh as she set down her cup.

"Hmm, so another country boy has been lured in by the capital's charms." The woman said, as a hidden smirk spread across her face. "Maybe I should have some fun with him."

After asking for directions, Ben finally found himself at the capital's military barracks. Noticing the large line. He patiently waited his turn. After waiting for almost two hours, Ben finally found himself at the front of the line.

"So...you want to join the ranks too..." A rather bored looking officer asked, handing Ben a form.

"Yeah about that." Ben tossed off the form. "I'm not really interested in joining but...I have some questions for you pal." This got a bit confused and irritated the office.

"Listen kid, if you're not here to join them, get out. I'm busy." Ben really did try to hold in his anger as he was now getting worried for his friends.

"Look, I know you're busy and probably frustrated but I'm asking you if you meet some three kids that happen to come here requesting to be recruited." Ben suddenly questions causes the man to look at him to remember exactly three annoying brat but when he looks into Ben's green eyes which are blunt and cold he feels shivers run down his spine as if not to intimidate him so he calms himself down.

"Oh, so you know those brats, huh?" The Officer said, standing up to Ben's eye level and crossing his eyes. "Well, sorry to tell you but you're wasting your time. I just happened to kick those three out yesterday. Pffss acting like they're entitled to be in the army! Well let me tell you something boy, if you're going to be the same then you should get out of here before I throw you out!"

Ben was now really trying to hold it in but this was the last throw as he doesn't have time to waste and he got frustrated and using his Metal arm which is disguised as his normal one thanks to the ID mask he used it to punch the table in half which scared the living daylight of the officer incharge in the barrack.

( Daydreaming state )

"Listen here, you Bastard I'm trying to be nice but you're testing my patience!" Ben grabbed the collar of his shirt. "I'm only asking this once, where did you last see them?!"

This scenario would have gathered a lot of attention and Ben would go spreading mayhem if they lock him up but that isn't a case as he was just imagining it.

( End of Day Dreaming state. )

"Oi, brat are you listening?!" The Officer snaps his fingers in front of Ben which causes Ben's instinct to react and cautiously grasp the guy's arm with a firm grip from Ben's metal arm.

'Oh shit! This guy is seriously strong!' The officer felt bloodlust from this guy and he knew not to mess with him, so he forcefully pulled his hand away.

Ben sighs at this and turns around. "Whatever for a field officer you're quite useless. Asking for information from idiots like you is a waste of my time." Ben bluntly said as he walked away from the gaping Officer for being called useless.

"Why you, arrogant brat!" But the door behind Ben closes. "Tsk, whatever idiot. And don't ever come back!" He sat back down in his chair. 'Holy shit it's like I'm looking directly at Esdeath Sama's cold blue eyes, I thought I'm gonna die on the spot!' He thought of relief. 'Man, I really need to get my anger in control. And who was that guy?!'

Back with Ben he rubbed his bangs away from his face as he sighed deeply.

"Gods, that's sooooo frustrating. I almost killed that guy!" He mumbled to himself he was about to leave the area when someone tapped his shoulder which made him turn back and be a bit surprised to see who it was. It was a blonde woman with a busty chest and in revealing clothes. But due to turning in haste, the young man's eyes had landed on the huge breasts the woman possessed.

'Are those things real?' Ben thought in shock. 'If they are, then they're much bigger than either Shea or Tio.'

"Hey. You okay, lad?" Questioned the woman.

Ben shook his head and came back to his senses. 'Now if Yue or Sayo were here, they'd be surprisingly jealous of the fact that they're the only ones with a small pair of Racks.' He thought.

"Uh...hey...are you man okay?" The blonde woman asked.

"I-I'm fine!" Ben nervously said.

Unknown to him though, the blonde woman didn't believe him. She knew why Ben had acted strange, but decided not to say anything about it. So before he could say a word, she spoke up again.

"So...what's your story?" The blonde woman asked, snapping Ben out of his thoughts. He simply gave the woman a blank look in response. "Let me guess...You've come from the country to follow your dream in the capital, right?" However to her surprise Ben shrugged.

"You're halfway right, but I didn't come to join the Imperial military in this capital. I'm here looking for my missing friends." Ben told her.

"Oh wait really?" The blonde woman asked and Ben nodded. "Are you by far an adventurer?" Now it was Ben turn to stare wide-eyes at her.

"H-How did you know that?" Ben asked in a fake shocked tone.

"When you've lived in the capital as long as I have, you can spot country boys from a mile away." The woman replied, placing her hands on her hips. "So...I know a way to get you into the military real quick."

"Really!?" Ben exclaimed, although his reaction is not too exaggerated but he was just playing along because he already sees through this woman's scheme.

"You want me to tell you?" The blonde asked, earning several fake rapid nods from Ben. "If that's so...then treat me to a nice meal." The blonde woman flashed Ben a smile that made his heart beat even faster than before.

'Well, this is just sad. She's beautiful but a scum.' Ben thought although he couldn't help but have a slight blush spread across his face due to how beautiful she is. 'However, I can't let her know that I'd seen through her scheme, so I have to treat her to lunch that is.' He then grinned. 'It'll be fun to mess with her.' He then cleared his throat and shrugged. "Well, I was heading to a nearby pub anyway so why not." Ben suggested. "You can come along."

"Really that's awesome!" Leone flush Ben a cute smile but he didn't buy it one bit.

(Five Minutes Later; Bar Down the Street)

"Aw man!" The blonde cheered, as she slammed her empty mug of beer down onto the table. A ruddy red blush covered the buzzed woman's face. "Having a drink in the middle of the day is the best!"

"I think you might be overdoing it just a little." Ben said with a blunt expression on his face observing the bottles of alcohol that were littered across the table.

"Drink up man!" The blonde exclaimed, leaning forward in her seat; giving Ben a very generous view of her exposed cleavage. "Let's live it up a little!"

"*Gulp* S-So, anyways you mentioned a way to help me out to find my friends right?" Ben said, as he tried to control his raging blush as he tried to look away while having his feet on the table and both arms folded over his chest.

"Oh right...that." The woman said, as she poured herself another drink. "For that you'll need money and connections."

"Money?" Ben repeated, raising an eyebrow as he was just playing along.

"I've got a buddy in the army." The blonde explained, stopping to take a sip of her drink. "Grease his palms a little, and you'll find your friends in no time."

"I see..." Ben said, sighing but had a smirk on his face but not noticeable as he put down his feet from the table and began to root through his bag. The blonde woman's eyes widened considerably when Ben dropped a large bag of "money" onto the table. "Will this be enough?"

"Oh, that's way more than enough." The woman said, her eyes seeming to change into dollar signs. "You've got a ton of cash on you."

"Well I've been collecting rewards for the Danger Beasts I've killed on the way here." Ben explained, well that's true that he had three bags of money due to his hunting skills of Danger Beast, showing the woman his gun "Donner".

"Hmm, you must be pretty strong then." The blonde said, grabbing ahold of Ben's "money" unbeknown to the blonde what's inside will surprise her. "With this cash you'll be with your friends in no time."

"Four-fifths of this should do it, I think." The blonde woman said, making her way towards the bar's exit. As the blonde walked, she put a considerable sway in her hips. "I think you'll learn a lot from meeting me, man. Bye now. I'll go talk to him now. You just wait right here." The woman gave Ben a sultry wink before she walked out of the bar. "Maybe when I get back we can continue our fun in some place a little more 'private.' session."

"O-Okay...?" Ben managed to say in a bored tone, as he lazily waved to the leaving woman and the gasps in relief due to the embarrassment he was holding in all came together for the straight forward attack from the blonde. "Gods, I thought she's never gonna leave." Ben sighs in relief as he snaps his fingers for the waiter "More Rum mate."

'That young man was quite the looker, but he won't last another day in this city.' The woman thought, as she walked out of the bar; with Ben's "money" slung over her shoulder.

Little did she know that she fell right into Ben's game.

Meanwhile at the Bar they watch the still eating thanks to his creation magic he can eat even while wearing an ID mask.

However the Bartender soon called him out.

"Excuse me sir but haven't you realized yet, that you might have been scammed?!" Exclaimed the Bartender and Ben just bluntly shrugged his shoulders.

"Eh, like I care." Ben said as he sip his last root beer.

"Are you not scared that you might have been con by that woman with your money?" A random customer asked however that didn't pace him at all as Ben turned to them and pulled something out his bag.

"You mean this money?" Ben dropped it on the table as gold coins slithered out of it causing everyone around him to have their jaw drop.

"WHAT?!" They all exclaimed.

"YOU.. HOW?!" Exclaimed the Bartender as he knows Leone across this street to the great scheming woman she is who seduces men just to con them with their money.

Ben grabbed the bag and tossed several coins at the bartender and put the bag back in his backpack and stood up as he slung over his bag on his shoulder.

"How did you smuggle someone like Leone?" Asked another customer.

He walks through the door and turns as he grinned. "Let's just say, I see through her scheme the moment she approaches. I mean come on. I'm not a country dull, sure I'm a foreign, but I'm not that dull as those people from the countryside. Besides during my travels across this land I've seen enough scammers to know where this is going. So I just play along with her, not noticing my own schemes." He then walked out of the bar leaving behind a very astonished pantry then waved his hand to them. "Welp, I'll be going now." He then walks around looking for an inn to sleep but to his dismay all available Inns are all occupied for tonight so he doesn't know where to go as he was tired walking and he sat on the bench leaning his back on it as he was exhausted today.

"Damn, what a day and there are no available Inns?!" He mumbled to himself again. Just then a girl and two guards saw him.

"I wonder how those three are doing...Have they reached the capital yet?" A few moments later, Ben leaned against a wall and slumped to the ground. With an annoyed huff. "Damn it, I guess I have to sleep outside again." However, before Ben even closed his eyes a carriage came to a halt in front of him. Ben eyed the carriage suspiciously, as a blonde girl around his age stepped out. The young girl obviously came from a rich family if her clothing was any indication.

"I don't think that boy has a place to stay...the poor thing." The girl said to one of her guards.

"Again miss?" The guard asked, avoiding the young girl's gaze.

"I can't help it. It's just my nature." The girl said, as she walked up to Ben. "Did you come from the country?"

"Yeah..." Ben replied, getting a strange vibe from the girl.

"If you don't have a place to stay...you can sleep at my house." The girl offered with a warm smile.

Ben looks at the girl questionably sure helping strange people out who's in need is right but no normal person would gladly offer someone they just to have a place to stay at their house even if they are people from the countryside.

'Something tells me to stay away from this girl, something is just not right about her. Plus the guards should be more cautious of me than the other way around.' He thought but to avoid a scene he smiled softly. "Oh thank you for the offer but I'm fine here. The Inns are just too occupied right now so I can just sleep here for tonight. I'll wait out for tomorrow." Ben said.

"No please, I insist." The girl offers.

"Miss Aria can't leave a poor boy like you out here to freeze." The first guard said, placing his hands on his hips.

"You best accept her offer." The second guard said, as he felt a chill run down his spine. 'If this kid knew what was in store for him, he'd run like a bat out of hell, but for some reason not just something is off about him but I feel he already suspects.'

"Well..." Ben sighed knowing he doesn't want to make a scene, as he rubbed his chin. The girl seemed nice enough, but so did the woman from earlier. But she was offering him a place to sleep, and the thought of a bed to sleep in was too tempting. "It's better than sleeping outside, I guess, by the way. I noticed we didn't introduce each other. I'm Ben Tennyson." He said politely

"Aria." She said.

"Nice name." Ben complimented while still being cautious around her.
