Muramasa insists that the animal connective tissue used to bind the staff is the Achilles' tendons of a qilin, which is a mythical creature known throughout the cultures of East Asia.

Shiro: Falcon's Talons - is an evolved version of the hand claws, or tekko-kagi, which have been an essential part of the Ninja's arsenal since ancient times. The design of the claws embodies the immense power of birds of prey. The weapon features not only steel claws strapped to the hands, but bladed foot attachments as well. All Ninja master martial arts using hands and feet, and this weapon instantly allows them to convert their physical attacks into cutting and slashing movements. Although the claw blades themselves are short, this is more than made up for by the attachment of multiple blades to each appendage. This increases the overall cutting surface and results in devastating attack capability. Due to its savage brutality, this weapon has long been feared. In addition, because they are based on a protective gauntlet design, the claws have high defense capability, making them extremely well-rounded weapons.

Shiro: Kusari-gama - is a traditional Ninja weapon consisting of an iron weight on a chain attached to the handle of a sickle. Shiro: Explosive shuriken - Shaped like a kunai, or throwing knife, this Shuriken has a small explosive attached. The Incendiary Shuriken is designed to explode after being impaled in the target's body. To achieve this, the thrower must remove the small metal ring at the tail end of the weapon, thereby lighting the fuse. Windmill shuriken - A large, unique Shuriken that has been handed down within the Hayabusa Clan for generations. Due to its large mass, the Windmill Shuriken is able to strike multiple enemies without losing momentum and return to the thrower like a boomerang. Its four blades can be folded on top of one another by rotating them on the central axis. It is carried in this folded state, attached to the wielder's forearm guard.

Nora: Explosive is the best!

Shiro: Field's Bane bow - powerful bow with carvings of twin dragons. The silent nature of the bow makes it an indispensable weapon for Ninja due to their propensity of covert operations. The Fiend's Bane Bow, developed in the Hayabusa Village, is a state-of-the-art compound bow based on traditional eastern design. Its accuracy rivals that of a modern rifle. Made primarily from high tensile strength carbon fiber, the bow's projectile range and velocity are unequaled despite its light weight. Against a human target, it is easily accurate to 500 meters, and its arrows are capable of penetrating 40-millimeter bulletproof armor plating. The arrows for the Bow are also of a unique make. "A unique type of Japanese-style arrow preferred by certain ninja. The bulb on the arrow shaft creates a disruption in the flow of air around the arrow as it flies, producing a whistling sound that disrupts the senses of any evil being in the vicinity. Another important characteristic of the arrow is its two-pronged head, which tears through the flesh of its target instead of simply piercing it."

Cinder: I want to try it.

Shiro: Vigoorian flail - is a much more specialized weapon and much shorter weapon than the Dragon Sword and is best for close quarters crowd control. For ground-based enemies that tend to clump together, this is an effective way to mete out mass quantities of destruction with minimal effort. This weapon is basically a pair of sickles tied together by a short rope or chain similar to a nunchaku with a mid sized blades on each handle. Although they are unrelated, the Vigoorian Flail has medieval European origins.

Ozpin: So extraordinary weapon.

Shiro: The Tonfa is a representative weapon of the ancient Ryukyu martial arts, developed in what are now the islands of Okinawa. Although Tonfa have a short reach, they are extremely fast and can be wielded in a number of ways to exploit their strengths in offence and defence. This versatility has led Western countries to adapt Tonfa into police nightsticks. These particular Tonfa have high-density, super-hard tungsten carbide plating on all impact surfaces, including the tips and outer edges. This provides for immense impact damage while still remaining compact. Because these Tonfa are not bladed, they are incapable of cutting attacks, but they make up for this in their ability to pulverize human flesh. These specially-modified Tonfa are so much heavier than typical Tonfa that only the most talented martial artists are even capable of spinning them.

Ren: I need to learn how to use them.

Nora: What's about War hammer?

Shiro: Dragon's claw and Tiger's fang - great all-around weapon good for moderate crowd control. They are fast and deadly and can tear up almost everything. It might seem difficult to hold one blade in each hand, but these swords have been modified to allow them to be wielded together. The tsuba, or hand guard, of each weapon has holes in it to reduce the weight close to the sword hand. This design, known as a Musashi-tsuba, was first proposed by the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. No one knows when the swords were forged but it is rumored that each blade bears the inscription "Muramasa (村正)".

Blake: Looks like they fit me perfectly.

Ozpin: Falling from such a height and landing safely without any injuries puts him on par with professional huntsmen.

Glynda:*after Boomstick's comment* It's just disrespectful!

Weiss: I don't think it work like this.

Wiz: And despite mastering the ninja art of stealth, he tends to just rush in, swords swinging. Every. Single. Time.

Boomstick: It's basically a super-long, extending lightsaber.

Nora: Echo!

Shiro: It preserves the weight of the blade and is easier to wield than a lightsaber.

Wiz: Well, kind of. It's a sword with a plasma aura that leaves a trail of death. It can also fire plasma arrows and counter projectiles.

Qrow: Two in one.

Ozpin: It combines the properties of long-range and melee weapons quite well.

Boomstick: All with an incredibly satisfying ching sound.

Wiz: Finally, Option C is a robotic hawk with bladed wings and oversized grenades.

Penny: Why the last two are in the form of animals?

Boomstick: Argh, I hate birds! Now they have grenades.

Yang: Hahaha!

Wiz: He's even fast enough to dodge shadow tag bullets: highly advanced ammunition designed to track supersonic targets, like Striders. Basically, anti-aircraft rounds for people.

Alhaitham: Then this means that Hiryu is very fast, being able to dodge the bullets that track the Striders.

Boomstick: He's also strong enough to slice clean through the human body... with a karate chop!!!

Tighnari: Either he has great strength to do it, or great speed.

Wiz: Hiryu has somehow been in retirement for over 2,000 years; likely because of the advanced medicine of the future.

Collei: Future amazing!

Wiz: Yet despite distancing himself from the Strider program, he has been pulled out of retirement more times than John McClane.

Hazel: He survived the death of his sister, let him rest.

Boomstick: He's fought dinosaurs and giant robots, destroyed a moon-sized space station, and is so badass he considers huge flying warships mere toys. He even slew the magical creator of the world... twice. Apparently, God is no match for this future ninja.

Ruby: I vote for Hira! He has more advanced weapons!

Weiss: I agree with Ruby.

Yang: Me too.

Blake: I vote for Ryu.

Yang:*grinning* Because you love him?

Blake: No!

Kali: No need to lie to your mom, kitty.

Blake: Stop, embarrassing me!

Ren: They both have high speed and both are capable of defeating deities.

Jaune: But Ryu has more weapons and Hiryu is more advanced.

/Death Battle/

The scene starts with a building under construction and a security guard. Ryu and Hiryu descend from above him and kill him at the same time.

Bennett: It looks like they have the same task.

Guard: (Wilhelm scream)

Ryu and Hiryu jump back and take fighting stances.

FIGHT!

Ryu throws the shurikens in Hiryu, but he slips under them. Hiryu beats Ryu and he flies into the wall. Ryu rests on her and jumps to Hiryu and strikes him with a sword.

Ryu inflicts a combination of strokes with swords and legs and from the last blow, pushes back Hiryu.

Hiryu jumps over Ryu and beat his sword on him. Ryu blocks him, and throws a shuriken into him, from which Hiryu dodges jumping away.

Shuriken returns to Hiryu and he has to dodge. After that, he attacks Ryu, who blocks his attacks and then jumps to the side. Shuriken again attacks Hiryu, and he cuts it in response with his blade.

Razor: Wow!

Hiryu quickly reacts and puts the block from the attack of Ryu. Ryu begins a furious flurry of attacks with a blade. Seeing the gap in his attacks, Hiryu jumps on him, but Ryu beats him with his foot and he flies into the wall.

Dehya: His back will be hurt.

Hiryu bounces from the wall like a ball, Ryu follows him, grabs him in the air, and throws him, pile drives, to the ground.

Diluc: I didn't think that usual man will be fine after that.

Ryu takes out the Eclipse Scythe and sets out to finish off Hiryu. But it teleports to the side and destroys the scythe.

Ryu takes out the Whip Chain. He swings it and throws it at Hiryu. He quickly cuts it into a dozen pieces.

Nora: So fast!

Ryu uses a nipmo and creates a doppelganger to attack Hiryu with it.

Akame: Now it has become more difficult for him.

Hiryu dodges Ryu's stab in time and uses the grappling hook to get to the top. Ryu jumps after him and Hiryu jumps to the other side, then he parries Ryu's second lunge. They both begin to climb to the top, striking each other along the way.

Hiryu is thrown to the top and landed to his feet. Following him and Ryu. Both begins to use his medical techniques to heal a little.

Both begin to prepare their energy shots and firing, the shock wave throws them back.

Hiryu: There's no escape! Legion!

Hiryu calls the robots of animals and they attack Ryu. Ryu at a fast pace cuts them into small pieces.

They knew he was fast, but they didn't know how fast he was to destroy every drones.

Ryu lunges in the direction of Hiryu, he dodges and sends shells of energic slashes to Ryu.

Ryu dodges them with a session back and lands on the crane. Hiryu jumps to the same crane, and increases the distance between them.

Ryu sends fire balls to him, but Hiryu disperses them with a blade.

Ryu jumps onto the roof of the crane and follows it. Two ninjas stand staring at each other.

Both run to meet each other, jumps and at the same time beat blades.

Both are safely landing on their feet and silence hung in the air.

A surge of blood breaks the silence and it belongs to Ryu.

Blake was horrified by the fact that she knew what was going to happen next.

Hiryu: Time to end this! Ragnarok!

Hiryu delivers multiple hits to Ryu at super speed. Hiryuu performs a piledriver on Ryu and uses it to blast all floors down to the ground.

While Ryu is dead on the ground, Hiryu, having completed his task, leaves the scene.

Hiryu flies off the building in a glider. A bird droid flies over Ryu's body with a bomb and throws it at the dead body, blowing it up leaving nothing behind.

Blake pouted at this.

Wiz: This fight was very close, and Ryu's ninpo was certainly a match for Hiryu's gadgets.

Boomstick: But Ryu's enormous arsenal was useless against the Cypher.

Wiz: The only weapon that can stand up to the Cypher was his True Dragon Sword, but even then, while it can cut through people like butter, Hiryu does the same with his bare hands.

Wiz: If you consider the differences in speed, this means Hiryu is at least 43% faster. Ultimately, Hiryu surpasses Ryu in strength, speed, and weaponry.
