Luke Pov

After dinner , Calum came up to me and Michael.

"Luke , Michael you both need to get armor and weapons before the game starts." Calum explained.

"Wait you guys actually use real weapons in a game of capture the flag?" Michael asked."yeah." Calum replied. A horse guy stood up.

"Campers, tonight's game of capture the flag will be led by the Athena and Ares cabins. Athena cabin you are the blue team. Ares cabin you are the red team. The blue team is the Athena, Poseidon,Zeus,Apollo, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Hades and Hecate cabins. Red team you are Ares and all of the other cabins. If you don't know your job see the head councilor of your team leaders. They are Annabeth and Clarisse. Also you know the rules, No maiming. Percy no drowning people. Nico no shadow traveling or summoning some of your ' friends'. Jason no blasting people with lightning. The game will start in half an hour. Use the time wisely to finish planning your strategy."

Everyone ran out of the dining pavilion. Michael and I followed Calum and the rest of the Hermes cabin over to a  table filled with blonde people. Other cabins joined us at the table. I was guessing that the  blonde table was the Athena cabin and the other cabins were our team mates.

"Before we start planning our strategy for the game, Any questions?" A blonde girl asked. Michael raised his hand."Yes?" she said while pointing at him."Um.... I'm new here and the horse dude said to see the head councilor of the team captains if you don't know your job. So who is Annabeth?" he asked. She laughed."I'm Annabeth and is anyone else new?" She asked. I shyly raised my hand. " What are your names?" She questioned Michael and I. "I'm Luke Hemmings. I said. "And I'm Michael Clifford ." He said."Okay cool. Is any one else new?" She looked around the room. Nobody had their hands raised.

"Let's get started. The plan is to get the flag by creating a diversion. I will need five groups." She explained. Then she sorted our team into five groups. Every one except for Michael and I and three other boys. I wonder why."Group one, you are going to go left and distract the red team's flag guards. Group two, you will go to the right and do the same thing as group one. Group three, you are going to go up the middle and do the same things as groups one and two. Groups four and five, you will be border patrol. Any questions so far?"Annabeth asked." Yeah Annabeth, what are you Luke, Michael,Percy,Jason and Nico going to do?" Asked Y/N. "Glad you asked Y/N. Percy, Nico, Luke and Michael will be guarding our flag and Jason and I will get the other team's flag." I looked up when I heard my name.

A horn in the distance blew signaling the start of the game. Everyone put armor on. I was pretty sure that mine was extremely messed up and done wrong. Everyone did not apparently include a dark haired green eyed boy, a blonde blue eyed boy , and Nico. We walked to our side of the creek and split up into the groups Annabeth put us in. Michael and I were  standing on the side awkwardly trying to figure out where Nico and Percy were. Annabeth's voice snapped me out of my thoughts."Hey Seaweed Brain, grab death breath, Luke and Michael and our flag and go to your spot." She yelled at someone who I guess is Percy. Nico ran over to us."Follow me." he said and took off running. When we got there Percy had already set up the flag and was no where to be seen. The flag was hidden in plain sight. Nico found Percy's hiding spot rather quickly. He pulled us down. So now we were sitting in a spot that would be really hard to find. Once we were hidden, Percy adjusted Michael and I's armor. It now fit a lot better probably because it was done properly. "Now What?" Michael asked." Now we wait. " Percy replied.

After a few minutes we heard voices and footsteps.It looked to be a group of Ares kids. They had red plumes on their helmets and looked like bullies."Hey check it out Clarisse, their flag is unguarded." one of the boys said." Mark, What are you stupid? This is Annabeth's team we are talking about. She is not stupid enough to leave her flag unguarded. She probably let Prissy guard it." Who was Prissy? Percy looked at me then pointed to himself and mouthed 'Clarisse calls me that.'Okay then. "Clarisse let's just get the flag and get out of here. Knowing the punk, he is probably not even paying attention.

Percy took out a ballpoint pen and it turned into a three foot long bronze sword.It made a soft 'shink' sound. Nico twisted his silver skull ring and it transformed into a long black sword. Clarisse must have heard the sound Percy's sword made because she was looking around the clearing. Mark grabbed the flag. Nico used the shadows to sneak over behind the group. Percy followed Nico and snuck into the woods. Michael and I tried to follow them but we stepped on branches. the branches made loud snapping sounds. Mark started running.........................................right into Nico. Percy and Nico had set up an ambush. the Ares kids tried fighting their way out. They over powered Nico but were defeated by Percy. Nico got up groaning right when we heard loud cheering. The four of us ran towards the sound of the cheering. We got to the creek just in time to see the red team's flag and Jason touch the ground. The flag changed from blood red with a boar's head  to a white flag with a yellow lightning bolt. I guess Jason was a son of Zeus. Then the flag added  the symbols and colors of the other gods on our team to the sides.  The large lightning bolt remained in the middle. After the game of capture the flag, which we won, a girl who might have been Y/N's sister gave Percy a look that said 'It's time' Percy nodded." Hey Annabeth, wanna go for a walk on the beach with me?"he asked her. She  looked at him suspiciously but followed him anyway. Wait there's a beach at this camp? Right before they were out of eyesight, Annabeth jumped on Percy's back.

Clarisse started yelling orders to everyone ."Alright punks, go set up that party. Prissy is the distracting team.GO." Party? Every one ran in different directions. Calum then walked up to us. "Do you two want to come to  Annabeth's birthday party? Everyone is invited. He told us." I guess so." Michael and I said together.

Michael Pov

Great. What did I just agree to? Oh yeah, I think it was a party. Now my brain is having a war with itself. That will leave a massive headache. Luke and I helped Calum and Ashton set up for the party.There was about five minutes until the party was supposed to start. A girl named Piper(I think) layed out rose petals in a trail on the floor. She took out a walkie- talkie."The pizza is made." What the heck? A static reply came back in." Okay we're coming." A male's voice  said. A girls voice also came through.    " Was that code for something Percy?" The female voice demanded." Um... No." He replied." Stop lying." she told him. About three minutes later Percy and Annabeth came back into the room. Annabeth was now wearing a light green dress. And a blindfold. Percy took the blindfold off of her face. She smiled as she looked at the party decorations. Everyone was staring at her as well. " What are you people staring at me for? Let's get this party started!" she exclaimed. Music started to play. She started to dance with Percy, who might I add was a terrible dancer. I guess they were dating or something. The other campers joined in. The whole camp had to be here. I guess she was pretty popular. Me? I went straight for the food. I grabbed a plate and filled it with a bunch of things. I headed to a corner with my food and sat down. If you haven't guessed yet, I am not much of a people person. Everyone danced for about an hour.  Then it was time for Annabeth to open her presents. That cake looks really good. Sorry I'm getting off topic. Anyway, Annabeth didn't have a lot  of presents for the amount of people who were there. Calum and Luke came over too me and dragged me out of the corner and over to where Annabeth was opening presents.

"She didn't want anything." Calum explained to me. Annabeth opened all of the cards first and gave  hugs to the person who got her the card. So after opening the cards, she had about $300 in  cash and a ton of gift cards. All that was left was about 10 boxes. She opened the pink box first. It was a jar of olives and a pair of tickets to something. Annabeth went to open a black box when everyone gasped and stared at me. All of this attention was making me uncomfortable. Annabeth looked Shocked now. She put down the black box."Michael, you're a son of Hades . Since you have been claimed by Hades, now you will have to sleep in Cabin 13 and do activities with the other member of cabin 13 and sometimes the other big three kids. Well at least I met Nico. Wait wasn't cabin 13 the black one with skulls. That cabin looked awesome. And it was just my style as well. "Cool" I said. Annabeth went back to opening presents. She opened all of them but two of the larger ones. For some reason there was a scroll as well. Annabeth reached for the scroll and un-rolled it. A girl with short spiky black hair and electric blue eyes face came up." Hey Annabeth , sorry I couldn't come. I tried. I'm just saying happy eighteenth birthday." She said." Aw thanks Thalia. It's okay that you couldn't come. I know you are busy with your hunting duties." Annabeth replied. Thalia smiled and the video ended. Annabeth grabbed the smaller of the remaining two boxes. It was a box of candy. Weird present if you ask me. She reached for the last box. There was a another box inside. And another one inside that. There were boxes inside boxes until she came to a box that probably held a piece of jewelry in it. Inside the box was a silver charm bracelet with four charms. A blue circle with brown dots. Oh it was a blue chocolate chip cookie. The charms were a blue chocolate chip cookie, an olive , a book and a heart.  She flipped over the charms to see if there was anything engraved on them. She read the words on the back of the cookie out loud."I love you more than blue cookies. That's saying a lot." She laughed. And Percy smiled. I want cake now.

It was finally cake time. Annabeth and an elf looking kid walked over to it. The elf lit the candles on fire with his hands. Annabeth made a wish before blowing out the candles. Why did the room smell like ozone if she had wax candles? She looked around the room and her eyes landed on Luke. I looked at him too. For some reason he had a holographic lightning bolt over his head that was fading slowly. I think he just got claimed by Zeus." This is a weird birthday." Annabeth mumbled. the elf had a contraption that cut the cake all at the same time into equal pieces. Then the machine put the pieces of cake on to plates. Everyone went up and grabbed a plate. After cake, people slowly started to leave in groups of two's or three's. I followed Nico to Cabin 13. I think that Luke followed Jason to cabin one. We passed by cabin three and heard voices." It was nice of you to throw a party for me Seaweed Brain, but you do know that my birthday was a week ago." A girl's voice said. It sounded like Annabeth. Someone who sounded like Percy replied back."I know that your birthday was a week ago, but how often to people actually have their birthday parties on their birthday?"  We continued to walk to cabin 13. Once Nico and I were in the cabin, I claimed a bed that didn't look used, and I went to sleep. May I add that the bed was extremely comfortable.
