Chapter 33

A few hours had passed and neither Harry nor I have spoken since. We just sat there staring at the blinking screen of the TV that was currently playing the movie The Great Gatsby.

I turned to look back at Harry who was currently lying on his back on my bed, his side bandaged, his jaw set and his eyes locked on the TV. It turns out Harry was very into it for he never looked away to even ask what was going on or say something that he would usually say.

I sighed, looking away.

If you were wondering why he was even staying here in silence and hasn't gone home yet, well, he can't necessarily leave  in the state he's in and the spot where he had been stabbed could begin to bleed at any time.

It was too risky.

Yawning, I furrowed my eyebrows. Looking over at the time, it read 11:45 pm. No wonder I was so tired. Gazing over at my door, I started thinking about Niall. I must admit that I was a bit too hard on him last time we spoke. He'll notice something's up because I'm never like that, especially not with him.

Standing up from my bed, I made my way over to my door; ignoring Harry's eyes on me the whole time. Shutting the door behind me, I walked down to Niall's room and gently knocked. I waited. Nothing. My hand gripped the door knob and I opened the door to see him lying on his bed, the wooden guitar he had on top was him was quickly set down besides him as he sat up and stared at me.

"Dude, can't you knock?" He spoke in annoyance.

"I did." I scoffed. "And I'm not a dude."

Niall just rolled his eyes pathetically before fixing himself up in his pillow and grabbing his guitar again. "What do you want anyways?"

I crossed my arms below my chest, ignoring his mean ways which I'm probably sure I deserve.. But still!

"I just came by to tell you that.. I'm sorry, for acting the way I did earlier. You didn't deserve that. I was just angry." I sighed looking down.

There was a moment of silence. I looked up to see him start strumming on the strings of his guitar, a look of annoyance in his face.

"Yeah, well, I don't really care about that."

I grunted in annoyance, rolling my eyes and closing the door in front of me. There's just no way around him. He's stubborn and ignorant. Well, at least he's not the only one I know with that problem. The other one is laying there in my bed right now.

Turning on my heals, I mentally screamed to myself. I was just about to walk back into my room when my body collided woth another's. Looking up, I saw Harry looking down at me.

I caught my breath. "Jesus, Harry!" I let it out slowly, licking my lips. "You scared me."

"Sorry." He monotonously replied. "I was just going to get a glass of water."

"I'll get it." I wiggled put from in front of him, making my way down the stairs and into the kitchen where I grabbed a clean glass, filling it up with water before walking back into my room.

Spotting Harry lying on his back once more on my bed, I walked over him, leaning over to hand him his drink. He grabbed.

"Thanks."

"No problem." I tucked some hair behind my ear, about to take a seat at the edge of my bed when his voice stopped me.

"Come here." He mumbled, settling the glass on the stand besides my bed.

I knitted my eyebrows together. "What?"

He licked his lips, locking his eyes with mine-- they were unreadable as usual but they held a warm feeling to them. "I said, come here." He patted the spot next to him.

I bit my lip, contemplating what I should do or not.

He sighed, slowly standing up and walking over to the side of the room I was standing. His appearance came extremely close to me, figure shadowing over me which only made me take multiple steps back. I felt my back press onto the surface of my bedroom door, hand fiddling to grip the door knob.

"What's wrong, Leah?" He asked moving even closer to me than he already was.

"N-Nothing.." I uttered, eyes never leaving his.

"Something's definitely up, alright." He chuckled, leaning his forehead closer to stand inches apart from being pressed against mine. "You can tell me."

What on Earth is going on? He hates me! I hate him! How come I'm not stopping this?

The questions roamed around my head in a way that it couldn't stop. Everything was just happening so fast.

"Harry.." I continued, looking down at his lips and losing track of my words. They were pink, as always, and dry. He licked them over seductively, driving me to my climax.

He continued his techniques before he got as close as possible, eyes fluttering to a close. I could say mine did the same thing. Things were going to happen and pretty fast if it wasn't for the sudden push I felt on my bedroom door from the other side.

"Leah?" A voice similar to Niall's questioned as he continued his efforts to open my door.

My eyes widened, quickly pulling Harry off me and shoving him back behind the door so I could open it just enough so that only my head plops out.

"What do you want?" I looked at him in the annoying look I had on before I last saw him. Like that, he won't notice anything's up because clearly there was.

"Is everything okay in there?" He furrowed his eyes as he tried to look into my room.

I didn't let him, closing the door closer to just shake my head. "No? Why would you be so worried anyways?"

He rolled his eyes. "Look, I was only going to tell you that Robert pulled up and it looks like he needs some help with the groceries."

"So?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"So.." He continued. "Stop being mad at the world for being grounded and come down to help."

I sighed, wanting to get over this already. "Fine, I'll be out in a minute."

"Seriously, Leah, what's going on in there?" His hand touched the surface of my door, trying to push it open but I didn't let him. Who could imagine what will happen when he finds Harry in here! I will be sent back to live with my Mom in London and I actually like it here!

"I told you I'll be down in a minute." I explained. "I'm changing." I lied quickly.

"Oh." He looked at me with an embarrassed look in his face. "Well, hurry up."

I watched him take a step back into the hallway before turning on his heals to walk down the hall and down the stairs. A breath of relief was released from my mouth as I knew I was safe. Closing the door and locking it, I turned back to Harry. "Alright, you need to hide." I walked over to him, grasping his upper arm. Just as I began to pull him, I was pulled back. "Harry!" I whispered-yelled at him.

He shook his head. "I'm not staying, Leah. I have to go. There's no way you can hide me in here for the whole night while you're grounded."

"What about if your wound starts to bleed again?" I hissed in a light tone.

He chuckled. "Love, you make it seem as of this is the first time this happens to me." He smirked. "I'll be fine. I know how to handle myself."

"Obviously." I rolled my eyes."But you never know--"

Pulling me closer to his body around my waist, his lips came to a near contact with my left ear. His voice send chills down my spine as I felt him smile against my cheek. "You talk too much." He taunted, slowly moving away to look down at me.

I was frozen to the spot, unable to speak or hardly even breathe.

He pulled away shortly, hot breath fanning over me making my cheeks somewhat blush.

Walking over to my window, he turned back over at me. "I'll see you soon, alright?"

I nodded, walking over to him.

Opening the balcony doors, he looked over at me. "Try not to worry too much." He softly encouraged.

"Because that's exactly what I'll do?" I spoke sarcastically causing him to roll his eyes and chuckle before carefully crossing a leg over the railing.

I watched as he thrusted his body out of the balcony to land safely on the grass. It was then I started to wonder how many times he did this?

Sending me a subtle wink, he got up from the ground and sprinted away.

I stood there, smiling as he did what he was doing before I heard a knock on my door.

"Leah? Are you in there?"

"Yeah." I called back, closing the balcony doors before walking over to the door and opening it.

Robert walked inside, taking a look around. "Why was your door locked?"

"I was changing." I used the same lie I did with Niall. "I didn't want you or Niall to walk in on me." I inwardly smiled at myself that I came up with a good excuse.

"Oh, alright." He licked his lips, taking another look around the room before retrieving his eye back at me. "Listen, Leah." He continued. "My boss called today. Now I know you might not be so interested in this but I've already talked to your brother about it and since you're both grounded..."

"What's going on?" I interrupted after his long pause.

"I got a call from your mother today."

My eyes widened at the sound of Robert talking about my mother.

"Her job is hosting some fancy dinner for their anniversary Friday night and since she couldn't be there, she asked if I can go in with you guys.."

"Why can't Mom be there?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Because she's in London." He sighed. "I had to say yes, this sounded very important to her. So now you know, Friday you can't make any plans."

"But Friday is when I'm un-grounded!" I exclaimed a little bit angry. No there's no way, that's not fair! I hate being grounded, even though I already broke some rules about it. I was planning on getting out of here without getting into trouble.

"Well, you have to go." He stated strictly.

My eyes never looked away from the look of suspense he had. Since when did cool and fun Robert die? He's being too overrated with me sneaking out one night to find my brother. He can think all he wants but he was never there for us so he has to stop trying to act lile the responsible parent he thinks he is. This is stupid!

"But--"

"No," He continued, looking down. "If you can't do this for me, do this for your mother.."

My mother.

Of course. He's using her against me. How on earth am I ever going to say no now?

"Fine." I mumbled, crossing my arms below my chest.

Robert gave me one of his deadly glares before turning back around in his heals. I was so happy he started walking out of my room but my enthusiasm didn't last long when I saw him stop by my door frame. His head turning over his shoulder as his other hand grabbed the door knob.

"Come down and help when you're ready." He sighed. "Don't take too long."

Without saying another word, he walked out and closed the door.

Grunting, I fell, head first, onto my bed. I let out all my feelings out into a scream onto the pillow. My hands rose to grab the sheets Harry previously moved around to pull them over my body but I grew surprisingly aware that I grabbed something else instead.

Raising my head from my pillow that seemed to smell a lot like Harry, I looked over to my right. I furrowed my eyebrows as I sat up in bed, the object still fisted in my hand. Quickly, I turned on the light by my nightstand besides me. I stared at it in concentration.

It was a silver chain with a small, sliver cross pendant. I was pretty sure it wasn't mine so I think the answer is pretty clear on whose it is. Harry.

He probably dropped it when he took off his shirt before I cleaned up his wound. The memories flooded back to my head. Yes, it's definitely his..

I figured it'll be better if I keep it in a safe place until next time I see him.

Closing the small box I placed his necklace on that I grabbed besides my nightstand, I locked it and put it back  where it belonged. It was an old box anyways, my Mom gave it to me on my birthday and no one ever looks through it but me.

"Leah!" I heard Robert call from down stairs.

"I'm coming!" I shouted back using my frustrated tone as I got up from my bed and walked out.

I just want to start university already!
