Chapter 14.
I stepped into my room, dropping all my bags onto my bed and immediately walking back out to the bathroom across the hallway.
The door was closed, I quickly started to strip my clothes off and turned the faucet on. I felt my body relax as the warm droplets hit the surface of my tensed skin. My eyes closed at the sensation I was receiving. Today was stressful, a warm shower is definitely what I needed. Not to mention, something to relax me before I get to work on all my homework. Life just gets better.
I felt the need of getting back to work as soon as possible which didn't make me happy.
Pouring a squirt of shampoo onto the palm of my hand, I began rubbing at my scalp. I closed my eyes once again, feeling at all time high as it quickly rinsed off under the running water.
Soon I began to rub the bar of soap along my arms and legs, I hummed to the beat of my own tune, bobbing my head mindlessly to the song I made up. Closing my eyes once more, I moved under the water, letting the soap fall from my body and hair. Memories from today's current events replayed in my mind. Everything was fine and steady before the thoughts of Harry flooded to the front of my head.
The way he looked at me when he first saw me this morning, the way his piercing green eyes always pinned at me in the middle of class. His dark whisper...
No! I told myself, shuffling away any upcoming thoughts I could've been getting from him. I quickly rinsed myself, washing my hair with the conditioner before taking that off too and shutting the water off. Stepping out of the shower, I grabbed a towel, wrapping it around my body.
Walking back into my room, I quickly changed into a pair of shorts with a red plaid shirt over a white tank top before drying my hair with my towel and throwing it on the side of my bed.
I walked back to a desk that was set in my room, taking my laptop and walking back to sit on my bed with it on my lap. My back rested on a pillow as I started to dig my hands in my bag to pull out the packets Ms. Westernfields handed me when I visited her this afternoon. I was nearly amazed at the size of it but knew it had to be done. After all, graduation is just two weeks. Once that day comes, I'm off to college. Crazy huh?
Anyways, I got back down to business, reading the first option on the list and getting down to business.

My eyes shot open to the sound of a machine going off. Nearly jumping out of bed, I made a few books and papers fall to the ground.
I can't believe I overslept!
Looking over to my alarm clock, I saw it was just 8:45 pm. My plan was to just take a quick nap, not to completely fall asleep for 3 hours!
I sat up in my bed, quickly fixing all my books into place and picking up the ones that fell.
Almost immediately the few papers I held in my hands fell to the ground once again as I heard another machine noise go off again. I dropped them in my bed before darting over to my balcony, curiously walking out into the cool air to see the same group of boys that are always here. They were all surrounding a car that seemed to be about the year 1997, old and rusty. Sometimes I question myself towards why they even bother to fix those old things, there's no use.
I stood in concentration, watching them work in all the dim light the sky had to provide. It was kind of nice the view I was getting from where I was standing. I almost forgot I was visible for a minute there before one of them noticed me.
"Leah? Is that you?" Louis looked up, setting his machine down.
All the guys followed, even Harry took notice in me. I knew it was him because his eyes gave it away, there were no other like them.
"I'm sorry, did we disturb you?" Scott asked.
I nodded my head in disagreement, literally lying to myself as I did so.
"No." I paused, "Hey, where's Robert and Niall?"
They looked at each other before looking back up at me.
"Rob took Niall to get us some pizza." Zayn answered.
"And he left you guys alone?" I asked a bit jokingly.
"Well we're not completely alone." Louis joked again with a smirk growing from ear to ear as he did so.
Just seeing him mess around made me giggle.
"Say? Why don't you come down? Maybe hang with us for a little until they get back?" Scott offered.
I glanced back over my shoulder, noticing the stack of work I still had to do. If it wasn't for my stupid nap, I would've finished it by now but no.
"Sorry, I have to finish my homework." I looked back down.
Louis glanced back at the guys before laughing, "Alright. But come down once you're done."
"Okay. And can you also keep it down just a little?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Sure thing, love." He smiled.
I nodded my head in agreement, shyly smiling at him before walking back into my room, closing the door behind me. My feet carried me back to my bed, quickly skimming through the stuff I've written down in my journal that had to do with careers I was interested in and what colleges might be good.
There were so many options, honestly, I couldn't picture myself picking one anytime soon. But I was defiantly keeping an open mind about Colorado State University.
Getting back down to work, I put in the password for my computer and started googling some more schools. It was actually becoming interesting before the sound of more machines going off.
Seriously? I just told them to keep it down!
I took in a deep breath. Thinking I can actually work in the noise, I went back to work.
It didn't work. Not even for a second.
A loud grunt was forced from my mouth as I stood back up, this time not so happy towards the noise. Is it really that hard to keep quiet? Couldn't they work on that stupid car once Robert gets here? Ugh, I just had to have the room closest to their work area on the side of the house.
Opening the door once again, hopefully for the last time tonight, I stepped outside. I guess I spoke too quickly for my words made no sense once I looked down.
"Louis, can you please keep it--"
The obnoxious noise stopped, a mop of curly hair suddenly looking up at me.
I stood frozen to the spot, lips started to become dry, pulse could be heard in my ears. His eyes made contact with mine. I could've sworn he might've cursed me out right then and there, but he didn't. Instead, he just kept his stern face.
"What did you say?" He asked.
"I-um..." My mouth couldn't make out the right words to say.
There was a short moment of silence before I finally came up with some words to say, though it wasn't really what I wanted to say.
"W-Where're the rest of the guys?" I asked.
Harry placed his equipment down on one of the nearby tables and wiped out some sweat from his forehead.
"They went inside." He responded.
I didn't know what else to say. There's just something about him that makes me completely black out. My mouth quickly started to speak words, not knowing if I was actually starting a conversation with him.
"How come you didn't go with them?"
"We had work to finish." He stated going back down to work on his car.
I wasn't sure if I actually wanted to say this but I said it anyways.
"Well, if you don't mind... Can you try not to make so much noise? I'm kinda doing something very important and--"
"Okay." He cut me in, "I didn't ask you to explain... Just go back to whatever you were doing."
He didn't even look at me as he said that. What kind of person does that? All I was doing was asking him to please keep it down. But no, he just has to through in his attitude whenever he has the chance.
Why does he hate me so much? I haven't done anything to him... For all I know, I should be the one hating on him for he's done.
I took a step back, closing the door with a loud thump so Harry can hear it. My body stood in front of the glass doors, waiting a minute to see if he'll play tuff-guy with me and do exactly what I told him not to do.
Not even two seconds passed that I've been standing, waiting for his stupidity to act on, until it did.
I swung the door open again, letting out another one of my angry grunts. He can't possibly follow directions. Even if it's not his house.
"Are you kidding me?" I spat, gripping my hands on the railing.
Harry looked up once again, this time with a devilish smirk plastered on his face.
"What?" He chuckled.
"I literally just told you to keep quiet and you didn't even wait an entire minute." I furrowed my eyebrows in annoyance.
"I'm working on a car? What do you think is going to happen?" He pinned his eyes at me.
"I don't care about your job, I care about mine... Which technically requires silence. Why is that so hard to understand?" I replied with the same attitude I received from him.
I couldn't believe the way I was talking to him but I liked it. I felt like I had power of dominance, just like he did with me at one point.
"It's not hard to understand," He scoffed, "It's just I don't want to listen."
"Excuse me?" I furrowed my eyebrows. This guy can really get my blood streaming.
I was confused as he found my attitude amusing.
"Just go back to your little project." He almost laughed as he turned back to look at the car.
I was going to call him off right at that moment, but I figured I said too much already.
"Ugh!" I let out taking a step inside and slamming the door closed even harder.
I could already picture him grinning. He's won this time... But the night isn't over yet and I'm just getting started.
