Chapter 10

The walk back to class was quiet, really quiet. Harry didn't bother to start a conversation and neither did I. It only consisted of silently walking down the hallways, only our breathing could be heard.

Looking up at him, I started to wonder if he was even taking me to the right class. I never knew class could be this far out. But then again, where would he take me if he can't stand being around me?

"Is there something on my face?" He almost scoffed in his words, his head slowly turning back to look at me.

I immediately looked away, completely embarrassed for looking at him for a long time. I didn't know what to say or even if I should say something.

"Uh..uhm" I stuttered.

Shutting myself up, I heard Harry chuckle. His action made me look back up to see him cheekily grow a smirk upon his face. I was stunned to see a pair of gleaming green orbs turn to me, immediately changing his expression.

He coughed, looking away in a serious manner and shaking his mop of dark curls. I had to admit, I was a bit disappointed towards the way his mood changed completely  just by looking at me. Why is it that he always does this?

"Let me see your schedule." He broke the silence in the awkward atmosphere between us.

Not understanding the reason, I mentally agreed and handed him the sheet of paper in which he gripped away quite quickly.

I watched as he concentrated very carefully on my classes. Eyebrows furrowing, lips creating the look of a pouting face. I could've sworn he looks attractive, but that was until I found out his dark personality so far against me.

"Good luck." He chuckled folding back up the paper before handing it to me.

Furrowing my eyebrows, I gently took it away, "What do you mean?"

"You have Ms. Collins for Chemistry." He answered.

"Oh? You have that same class?" I asked, mentally smacking myself for bothering to ask.

"No." His answer was stern, his eyes not meeting me for a second.

I swear, I need to shut up.

"Then how do you--"

"Louis has her." He quickly interrupted.

"Oh." I was somewhat offended when he cut me off.

"So what is this teacher like?" I tried to let him know I'm not someone he should be mean to.

His head turned, pink plump lips curving into a small smile. "Mr. Kallen?"

I nodded.

Harry looked back in front of him as we took a small turn in a corner.

"He's strict, I guess."

"You guess?" I joked.

"What?" He chuckled, green eyes glancing down at me in a confused look.

"Shouldn't you be able to know if your teacher is strict or not by this time?"

He scoffed, playfully rolling his eyes as we made a small turn to the right. Flickering my vision around the empty hallway, it felt as if we're never going to get to class.

"How further away are we?" I asked.

I noticed Harry move further away from me to the left. At first I was confused but then I realized he was walking towards a classroom door.

The door was swung open, giving me a look on his face to pass through.

My feet slowly moved up to the open door where a tall, skinny man who seemed to be around his mid fourties stood. The look on his face wasn't so pleased on us walking into his lesson.

"May I help you?" He asked stubbornly.

I didn't get a good first impression from the guy.

My vision looked to my left where I saw the big group of people in their desks, nearly falling asleep on the lesson. At first I thought they'd be staring at me but I was wrong. Their focus was mostly only Harry. Some of them even sat up straight, not wanting him to make eye contact with them.

"I said!" The same stubborn voice got louder, "May I help you!"

I flickered my head back to him, a low chuckle coming from behind me which I chose to ignore.

"I'm a new student." I finally replied.

"New student? And why are you so late? Where's your pass?" He asked.

Ugh, I can already tell I'm going to hate this guy.

"My father forgot and Mrs. Westernfields said she'll sent you an email." I can tell he thought I was just lying but jokes on him, I have all the answers.

"Ah-ha." He fixed his glasses, slowly turning around to look at his computer.

"And why are you late Mr. Styles?" He questioned, clicking around his computer.

"He was helping me in the office." I interrupted.

I swiftly turned around to find Harry getting a nervous look on his face. His big eyes seemed to flicker around the classroom as they too started to quietly whisper to each other.

"Helping, you say?" Mr. Kallen spoke. "That's a new one."

This school is confusing, what's wrong with a guy helping me?

I started back at the class, they all seemed to give me mysterious looks. Is it because I'm the new girl? Or because Mr. Styles here walked in behind me? I was only trying to defend him, is that so wrong?

"Okay Miss Horan, I guess your in luck. Welcome to Geometry, where your life will become a living hell." He joked, "As for you Styles, you're off the hook too. Go take a seat."

Harry darted over to a seat in the back row, not making eye contact with anyone. The look on his face wasn't happy at all.

Shaking away the feelings I started to get about Harry, I looked back at the class. My eyes trailed around the room in temptation to find a seat, any seat would be perfect. Nothing could be found which made me get really nervous.

"Pst! New girl!" A low whisper called out.

I dated my eyes everywhere in search for the mysterious call.

It was then I noticed a girl with gorgeous hair, almost a golden color, with dark blue eyes point her finger to the desk behind her. Her pink lips gave me a smile, giving me confidence to sit behind her. Thank the Lord!

"Hi." She smiled as I placed my bag down. We were careful Mr. Kallen didn't see us.

"Hi." I smiled.

"Sorry for calling you new girl  I just didn't know your name." She apologized.

"That's okay, my name is Leah." I smiled.

"Ivy." She chuckled.

"So I see you had Harry Styles escort you to class." She smirked looking back at him.

I also looked at him, curious to see what his expression looked like. He wasn't happy at all, of course.

"No." I rolled my eyes looking away before he noticed I was staring at him. "It was more of like a bribe from the guidance counselor so he wouldn't get a Saturday detention."

"Really!" Her eyes widened.

"Yeah, if it wasn't for that, I'd had to find my way over here all alone. He wouldn't care, he hates me." I replied.

"Don't worry, he hates everybody." She rolled her eyes.

"But why?" I asked.

"I don't know, but I sure would like to know. He seems like a guy who needs a hug." She joked.

We each held back from giggling to loud.

"Can I see your schedule?" Ivy asked once we calmed down.

"Sure." I handed her the folded paper from my hand.

She carefully unfolded it and examined it, almost the way Harry did.

As she took the time to do that, my head curiously turned back to Harry. I was stunned to see the same big eyes staring back at me, but they weren't green anymore. They seemed to turn into a darker color, almost black in anger. He didn't look away and little did I know, neither did I.

My thoughts were once again broken as I saw Ivy place her elbows on my desk, trying to show me my schedule.

"Okay, so we have fourth hour together, which is tomorrow, and seventh hour which is everyday." She pointed at the two classes. "We even have lunch together everyday."

I smiled, "Good, I was scared I had to eat with my brother or something." I joked.

"Oh, you have a brother that comes here too?" She asked smiling.

"Yeah, but he could be a bit stubborn at times. Now is when we're getting along, or at least trying." I crumbled up the sheet of paper one again and shoved it back in my bag.

"That's nice, I think?" She chuckled.

I sat back up just in time to Ivy's face become serious.

She took a quick glance to her right before letting the small, clearly visible, lump on her throat go down, "Another thing you should know, Leah, is that we have Harry for seventh hour too."

What! Seventh hour too! Why couldn't he tell me this while he was looking at my schedule and actually seemed like a nice guy? Now this is just too much.

I wonder what other surprises my day holds for me?
