I'll be the first to admit that I didn't know what I was doing when I started writing fiction.

All I knew was that I had a story inside my brain, and it had to get out.

I'm a longtime romance reader and love books with intrigue and sex. I also couldn't shake off my years of covering crime as a journalist in Florida.

My idea: what would happen if a young, rookie reporter met a hot Italian man while covering a story? What if the Italian was hiding a big secret? What if the Italian was also a journalist, but couldn't tell anyone because he was running from danger?

In 2014, I wrote this story in a first person point of view, but was persuaded by editors and critique feedback to put it in the more traditional third person narrative. I sold the book to a traditional publisher.

While I was happy with the result, the book never felt like "me."

This is the edited version of my debut novel. This book has had a couple of titles on various platforms: HOT SHADE in ebook, and it had been UNCOVERED on Wattpad at a certain point.

The new (and final) name is DIRTY LIES. It's part of the Burning Secrets series, which will soon be available on Wattpad.
