**Baby's POV**

I woke up in Darry's arms and sighed in content until I fully opened my eyes and realised it was morning. The sun was shining through the windows and onto my face. "Shit." I murmur and carefully leave Darry's arms trying not to wake him up.

I quickly throw my clothes back on I look one last time back at Darry who was sound asleep and smile at the memories of last night. I thought about leaving a note but didn't want to seem as if I expect something to come from this...I mean I did really like him but I know he probably sleeps with other women. Because seriously...who wouldn't sleep with him?

I run out the front door and towards my cabin hoping to god nobody was up yet. I slowly opened the front door, it creaked and I winced hoping it didn't wake anybody up. I gently closed it behind me and then tiptoed to my bedroom which I shared with Lisa. I opened that door and poked my head around and there she was deep in sleep. I breathed out in relief and slowly closed the door.

"Well where have you been?" I froze in my tracks and slowly turned to face Lisa. "I thought you were asleep." I whispered. "I was but you didn't answer my question." "Lisa I never ask you about where you go please don't ask me about last night...just this once please." I beg and clasp my hands together. She looked at me sceptically for a moment contemplating but the shrugged her shoulders "Ok Baby. But get changed Mom and Dad will be in to wake us up soon." I nod and quickly get changed into some loose shorts and a white shirt then crawl underneath the covers.

5 minutes later and mom comes in and wakes us up I groan and roll over to see Lisa smirking. "You slept with somebody." She whispers my eyes go wide as I try to figure out how she knew that. "Wh-how did you know that?" I sit up abruptly and she giggles. "I didn't I just guessed. But who was it?" I roll my eyes and shake my head. "Nobody you would know Lisa." She huffs and then stretches her arms out. I get dressed (outfit above) and then walk out to the porch and watch as people scatter everywhere mostly to the dining hall for breakfast.

Daddy is the first one to walk out "Daddy I-" I begin but he just put his hand out to tell me to be quiet. He avoided all eye contact with me and then went to the other side of the porch to wait for mom and Lisa. I guess I couldn't blame him it was HIS money I used and I did lie to him about it. I felt so guilty for lying and for how Penny turned out. The only good thing about all this was last night with Darry and even then I was confused about how that was going to work or even if it was going to work.

We reach the dining hall and sit down at our regular table next to the window. Randy came over and served us this morning and I gave him no politeness if so whatever. I hated what he did to Penny and I am scared that he will do it to Lisa.

During breakfast an announcement comes over the loudspeakers and blasts throughout the resort.

"Singers, dancers, actors, this is your lucky day! Auditions for the annual Kellerman end-of-the-season talent show...beginning in the playhouse."

"Everyone gonna be in the show?" Neil asks cheerfully as he comes towards the table. "We're leaving tomorrow. Miss the weekend traffic." Daddy says taking another mouthful of bacon. He said to miss the traffic but I know it was really because he was still angry about last night. "But we're paid up 'til Sunday." Mother interjects "And miss the show?" Lisa whines and stops eating as if it is the end of the world. "I said we're leaving tomorrow." Daddy barks back I don't even contemplate saying a word but just sink back further into my chair and avoid eye contact with Neil. "I was going to sing in the show." Lisa whines again "It's the big event. People bring their own arrangements. You don't want to miss it." Neil tries to change father's mind. Then he turns to me "Baby, I need you for props." I roll my eyes at him as he obviously thinks he can just boss me around.

He really irritated me now. "Why would you want to leave early?" Mom asks and she places a hand on Daddy's shoulder. He grabs her hand and turns to face her and smiles kindly "It was just an idea. We can stay if you want to." Then he turns to Lisa "So, what were you planning to sing?" Neil had bugged off and I was glad. Lisa sat up straighter and smiled "l Feel Pretty.' or 'What Do the Simple Folk Do?' Or 'l Feel Pretty.'" Father stands up and storms off and Lisa follows him "What do you think, Daddy?"

**Penny's POV**

I woke up with a dull ache in my stomach but nowhere near as bad as it was last night. I looked over to my right and saw Dally sitting there asleep his head resting on my arms and his fingers intertwined with mine. I smiled and then with my free hand ran my fingers through his hair. He stirred and then looked up at me. "Good morning handsome." I murmur and he smiles then rubs his right eye "How you feeling?" he asks in his groggy morning voice. "Yeah heaps better, you know you didn't have to stay all night right?" He looks at me confused and then shakes his head and lowly chuckles. "Penny...will you be my girl?" I looked at him confused now and tilted my head a little. "Didn't we settle this yesterday?" I ask "Yeah but not properly. You didn't really say yes." I rolled my eyes and smiled at his fussiness. "Yes Dallas Winston I Penny Johnson will be your girl." He smirks and leans in and kisses me.

We were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" Dally asked. "Oh probably Doctor Houseman he was coming by to check on me this morning. Could you let him in please?" Dally nods and kisses me again. "I'll come back and check on ya later." He walks towards the door and lets the doc in and walks out closing the door behind him.

"Hi Doctor." I greet weakly feeling really tired all of a sudden. "Call me Jake, Penny." I smile and nod. "How are you feeling this morning? Any sudden or sharp pains in the stomach or bleeding?" I shake my head "No but I do have a dull pain." He nods his head and smiles. "That's good then as that is to be expected. You were butchered by a maniac." He paused for a moment before continuing his smile turning into a frown. "Penny I don't entirely agree with what you did but I also am against with what this man did to you. So I was thinking if you could tell me what he looks like I could report him." I weakly smile and nod but the truth is I didn't want to do what he said because then I was forced to remember. I had to remember the agonising pain, his twisted grin and the sheer terror I felt as Soda banged and banged on the door and I screamed for help.

"Um...he-he had thick brown hair, pale skin, bushy eye brows and green eyes. He had a small scar above his right eyebrow and was rather chubby and was about 5 foot 4." "Ok thanks Penny." He says closing his notebook. "Jake?" "Yes Penny." "Are you mad at Baby? Because she did a very selfless thing for someone she barely knew and even though I know she probably lied to you what she did was very brave and I guess what I am trying to say is that if she was my daughter I would be very proud of her selflessness and bravery." He doesn't really react but looks off into the distance and sighs then slowly nods. "Thankyou Penny anyway, you won't be needing my services anymore. But don't be afraid to come and say hello." I grin "Thankyou for everything Doc...I mean Jake." He smiles and slightly shakes my hand then exits the room.

Darry walks in as Doctor Houseman leaves and the doctor gives him a disgusted look. "Hey." I say excitedly but still tired. "Hey." He replies "How you feeling?" "Better." I reply. Baby then comes in and it's as if the whole room fills with awkward tension. "You look much better." She says softly and smiles. I nod "You just missed your father. He's such a wonderful man." Her smile then turns to a frown "I'm sorry. I didn't realize-" she tries to apologise but I just shake my head "You couldn't have. It's okay." I try to reassure but don't think it did much good. "So, how you doin'?" she asks me trying to fill in the awkward silence that quickly filled the rooms. "I'm okay. Dr. Houseman says I'm going to be fine. I can still have children." "Oh, Penny, that's really great." She cheers and grins coming closer towards me. "So, how did it go last night?" I ask looking from Baby to Darry.

"Good." Darry speaks for the first time since Baby's entrance and suddenly I realise what happened. They slept together! For Christ sakes Darry! I think but try to keep a straight face.

"Fine. I didn't do the lifts, but it was good." Baby trails off. "Well, I guess I gonna go. See ya." I nod and smile and Baby leaves quietly.

"So, he says you're going to be fine?" Darry asks clapping his hands together. "What are you doing?" I scorn and look at him and I know he knows I know. "I'll tell Max your grandmother died." I huff at his ignorance "How many times have you told me...never get mixed-up with them?" "I know what I'm doing." I sit up and wince at the pain. "You listen to me. You've got to stop it now." I give him the biggest death glare I can manage but he just ignores it. "Look, I gotta run. I got a lesson with the Kramers. They'll kill each other if I'm not there." He kisses me on the forehead. "Well, sure. You've gotta go." I say clearly annoyed "I'll see ya." He shouts and then closes the door.

Great, now I'm by myself with nothing to do but replay last night's terrors but I was really tired and quickly fell asleep.
