Ch. umm 5?
Dean forced himself to stay away from the camp. He'd been told to never show his face there again. He knew that Cas went every year and the next summer, he just couldn't help himself.
Cas on the other hand, had been crushed for the first few months, hiding the pain with fake smiles and going on to act his best like it never happened. He had slowly recovered though, until his parents had dragged him back to the camp the next summer, crushing him again as the memories flooded back. He couldn't go anywhere without thinking of Dean, their experiences together.
------
Coincidentally, they met at Dean's swimming spot. Cas hadn't been prepared at all and neither had Dean. The older boy had been planning to go knock on Cas's window that night, steal him away. Maybe they'd ditch, who knew. He had a flat now, a steady job at an autoshop. He danced on the weekends for money at a club. All in all he was doing pretty good. He'd never moved the picture Cas had given him though, always kept it in his car.
Dean had walked down the path to the lake and saw a figure sitting out on that mossy log. It stole his breath away to see that black hair falling into his lover's eyes as he slouched and stared into the water, following minnows with his sharp blue eyes. It made his heart skip a few beats and he smiled.
But Cas looked sad as he stared into the pool. "I've done this," he thought to himself. He walked silently up onto the log and sat beside Cas, who hardly seemed to notice, "Ya know, if you stare too hard, them little fish might just start staring back," he whispered in Cas's ear, texas drawl coming out. He knew Cas loved it, always had. He let it loose when they were alone.
Cas startled and almost jumped off the log, staring at Dean with large blue eyes. "oh my god," the boy whispered, pulling Dean into a tight hug. To Dean's despair, they tumbled off the log into the water below them, Cas refusing to let go. They splashed into the water, struggling a little before reaching the surface.
The older man smiled and held Cas close as the stood chest deep in the cold pond. "You're back," Cas whispered into Dean's neck, holding tight to him. Dean wrapped his arms around the other boy's waist, "You know I couldn't stay away," he said, southern accent still clear in his voice.
Cas let out a hysteric laugh and looked up, a tearful smile on his face, "It's been a year."
"yeah, I've settled down now, got a flat and a steady job."
Cas smiled widely and pulled Dean into a bruising kiss. The older man moaned against the other's lips, panting when he pulled away. "Forgot what a damn good kisser you were," he said, voice gruff.
Cas smiled brightly. "I'm eighteen now Dean, I can go wherever I want. Take me with you when you go back," he begged desperately. Dean ran his fingers through Cas's messy wet hair.
He sighed, "what would your parents think if you ran away with some no good drop out? What would they say?" He groaned, anger rising up in his gut, "They wouldn't care! I come here with my brothers! My parents aren't around. Please, please I hate this place," he was so desperate. Just needed to get out of here. Needed to get away.
Dean huffed a little and nodded, "alright, alright," he whispered. Cas smiled and brought his face close to Deans but let the other finish the movement.
When their lips pressed together, Cas thought it was like coming home. The only problem was when and how they were going to leave.
**yeah that whole updating thing didnt work too well. Sorry this is late. I think the last chapter will be the end. Sorry it took so long. And sorry this is short.
