Louis woke up to his two siblings jumping up and down on his bed at the early hour of 6:30am. Their giggles got louder as Lottie fell on top of his brother, causing Louis to groan quietly.
"What are you girls doing up so early?" Louis asked, eyes peeking over at the clock before looking at his sisters who calmed once noticing their brother was awake.
"It's Monday, silly!" Fizzy said, and Louis didn't even realize the weekend was over. He spends so much time between work and school that he sometimes loses track of the days of the week.
"Shit," He muttered, sitting up in his bed only to be attacked in hugs by his sisters. They scolded him for his language, especially Felicite, the youngest of the two. "Language, Lou. You know mum would be washing your mouth out with soap right about now."
"You're right," Louis chuckled, motioning for the girls to get up. "Time to get ready for school. Get dressed and I'll make you guys some breakfast downstairs."
"Pancakes?" Lottie asked, hope glimmering in her eyes. Louis nodded with a sigh, and the girls cheered. Louis swore that he's made enough pancakes to feed a homeless shelter within the past two weeks.
"You girls are going to turn into pancakes," Fizzy noted that she was completely okay with that as long as she could be a chocolate chip pancake, causing Louis to chuckle. "Okay, up!"
The girls were up and running off to their separate rooms, Louis getting up to get dressed himself. He found a pair of dark washed skinnies and an iron maiden tee, letting his hair do as pleased for the day.
Louis made his way down the staircase and into the kitchen, pulling the box of pancake mix out of the cabinet. He was definitely not a cook, but after much time practicing and taking a culinary class in year 10, he got a grip on what he was supposed to do.
The smell of pancakes drew the hungry girls into the kitchen, now dressed for the school day with their hair done. Lottie's hair was pulled back into a braid, while Fizzy's was just pulled up in a high ponytail. Both of the girls always helped style each other's hair, an unbreakable bond being formed between the two since they were born.
They each sat at the table, Louis placing pancakes on the plates in front of them. Butter and syrup was sitting on the table, which each of the girls grabbed and helped themselves to.
Louis skipped out on pancakes this time, growing quite tired of eating them almost every morning. But this was the things he did for his sisters.
"Lottie, watch how much syrup you use before you give yourself a stomach ache," Louis warned, a thin coating of syrup covering the pancake. Lottie eyed Louis, as if challenging him. She poured at least another pancake's worth amount of syrup onto her stack, before putting the bottle down with an innocent smile.
Louis rolled his eyes. "Don't say I didn't warn you."

After breakfast was finished and the girls brushed their teeth, it was time to leave for school. Louis watched as the school bus picked the girls up, waving goodbye for the day as he walked to his own car.
His old grey Ford Escape got Louis back and forth to school everyday, and as he pulled into the school parking lot he could feel a few students staring as he drove past to find a parking spot.
It didn't bother Louis anymore, he knew that he wasn't popular and that he didn't have the same luxuries as other students.
As he pulled into a parking spot, another older car pulled up beside him. Louis turned his head to see his mate, Niall, and Louis flicked his shortened cigarette over into the grass as he stepped out. "Hey, mate! How was your weekend?"
"Same ole' shit, Niall. Work and taking care of the girls." Louis replied, locking his car behind him as the two walked towards the entrance of the school.
Niall was one of Louis' closest friends here at Cheshire. He's the only person to know of his mother's death, and the taking in of his sisters. The only other friend Louis really had was Zayn, and Zayn didn't show up all that often unless he wasn't skipping class for once. He was a distant lad, and the two boys respected that.
The revving of a motor could be heard in the distance, and the pair spotted a red '86 Chevy Iroc pulling into the school's parking lot. Half of the people in the parking lot couldn't help but to watch as the older vehicle was parked, and the owner cut the engine, stepping out to reveal the one and only Harry Styles.
"You're staring," Niall noted, and Louis jumped out of his thoughts as Harry shut the door behind him, waving at one of his friends approaching him.
"Totally wasn't," Louis claimed, and Niall let out a laugh. "Whatever you say, Lou. Why don't you just go talk to him?"
Louis gave Niall an astonished look. "Have you seen him and then seen me? Yeah right. Chances are, with a face like that, he's not even gay."
Niall snorted. "More like with a face like that he is gay."
Louis ignored his comment as they walked into the school. "He doesn't give a damn about me."
Their two worlds didn't mix, or at least that's what Louis was convinced of.
