Welcome to the New World
>>Jake, be..yourself. Jake, find Dirk. Well of course you know where Dirk is, he's right next to you! Well, maybe his thoughts are somewhere else, but physically he is standing, legit, right there. Who did you think Jake was, a moron for not seeing him? Gadzooks.<<
"Dirk?" You ask, tenitavely waving your hand in front of his face. He's been spaced out, and honestly it was starting to concern you. Luckily, your hand seemed to do the trick and he snaps out of it.
"Oh. Hey bro. Hows it goin?" He says, looking dazed but quickly recovering.
"I'm..alright. How are you feeling?" You ask him.
"Well, as you would probably say, I'm-" You watch as Dirk's small smile broadens into a grin. "Absolutely as fit as a fiddle, my ol' pal!!" His pretend accent is so off it makes you laugh, and Dirk laughs with you. Dirk then looks back off into the distance, where he seemed to be entranced in before. Large green plants lined the pathway that you and Dirk walked on, and between the leaves of the trees, the sun illuminated the ground below.
"Say, you never told me what the jungle really looked like." He said, as he pushes away some vines that were in your path. You nod politely and step under, before holding them aside for him to get by.
"It's not the jungle." You say, and Dirk looks over at you, seemingly confused. "It's home." You say, and smile. Dirk meets your eyes, then suddenly looks away. He seems to be disappointed, for some reason. "What's eatin ya, chum?" You ask, and give him a soft punch on the shoulder. He looks at you, and says,
"Um. So Jake. We're in this new planet, a whole new world..((Disney music plays lol)) and, uh..maybe we could, like-"
"Find a place together?" You ask, hopefully. You were actually thinking the same thing, and you also had some ideas for how to go about it.
"I was thinking about getting down and making my place a whole lot bigger, so you could move in..if you wanted to, of course. But, come to think of it, I've never seen your place either." You pause, and ask, "How much adventure is there in Texas? Is it as amazing as the books say, with all the wild cowboys and rodeos? Those bloody stories are to die for!" You exclaim. You loved those old western movies. So. Bloody. Cool.
"Uh, well.." Dirk began, "I live in a city, so there aren't really that many cowboys or anything. We're on a new planet, remember? We're basically the only ones here, other than the kids and trolls. "
This was kinda sad to you, but it seemed even cooler now that there was a city. There were a lot of movies that took place it cities, just as cool as the western ones.
"Would I be able to come over sometime?" You ask him.
"What's stopping you from going now?" Dirk asks, and you look at him, surprised.
"We've got all the time in the world, bro, but..now we've got the world, too."
