"Uh...Jake?" You ask as you pat his shoulder gently. He gives a small moan, and rolls over. He seems to have slept well. Maybe you can start on your morning routine until he gets up. You put on your shades and change quickly. You make your side of your bed and give Jake a quick kiss before leaving the room. He'd probably hit you if he'd been awake, it was kinda ironic. You decide to make breakfast for your bro. He might like pancakes..not the crocker kind, tho

You fire up the stove and start baking.

You look up, kinda groggy, and rub your eyes. Rays of sunlight illuminated the room, which was curious to you. Usually you're a pretty early riser. You look over to the opposite side of the bed, pushing the makeshift pillow fort that had been in between you two. Dirk didn't want you to feel uncomfortable being in the same bed as guy, but you told him you didn't mind. Somehow, it happened anyway, it seemed. It also seemed that Dirk was gone! You got up, ready for action, and- 

You're too tired for this.

You were sleeping rather lightly, but somehow didn't notice the strong (D----> STRONG!) arms lift you from the bed and carry you into the kitchen. You noticed them when he put you down, however, not from pressure, but from the cold. You shivered and opened your eyes. 

"Hey, you're finally awake." Dirk said quietly, placing the plate of steaming pancakes in front of you. You look up at him, surprised, and he gives you a small smile. 

"T-Thank you." You say, blushing. The food warms you a bit, and Dirk's smile..you feel like that warms you too. Dirk sits next to you at the small table, and watches you eat. 

"You eat already?" You ask, looking at him. He nods. You finish your meal and put your plate in the sink. You'll wash it later. "What are we doing today?" You ask him. He shrugs, and you frown. You can't stay inside all day..maybe he has some stores he would want to go to. This is a city, after all. 

"Wanna go out, then?" You ask him casually. He looks up at you and asks, "Now?" You look at him, confused. "Of course now, chum! When else would we do it? I wanna see all those cool anime stores you're always talking about!" He looks suprised, then smiles. He stands up and walks out of the room. "Hey, where are you going?" You yell after him. He throws you a coat and says, "Out, right?" He holds open the door to his apartment, and jangles a set of keys in his hand. 

"What're you waiting for?"
