Namjoon took some of Jimin's cigarettes that he usually kept in his drawer— which he thankfully forgot to lock on his way to the donut shop— and snuck himself on the roof.

It's a place in the headquarters that he's gotten accustomed to in the last few months.

Now in the twenty-two years that Namjoon Kim existed on earth, he had never smoked a single cigarette— he realized that while sitting in his favorite spot, taking out the borrowed lighter that he promised to sneak back in Jimin's drawer. So it was not a surprise when he caught himself in a coughing fit after the first puff.

How do people do this? He thought to himself, going in for another try. This one wasn't as bad as the first, making him believe that he'd eventually get used to it after a few more.

He took out his phone, relaxing from the feeling of harmful toxins sitting in his lungs. Whenever he went to the roof, he liked to look through old conversations with the mafia boss. Just from the texts alone, anyone could see Seokjin's disinterest gradually growing over the months.

The brunet started reading from the beginning. It summarized times where Namjoon thought he found someone who genuinely cared about him.

Jinie Boss-o: Morning dimples

Joon: G'mornin :)

Joon: Why are you up so early?

Jinie Boss-o: I should be asking u that

Joon: Couldn't sleep again...

Jinie Boss-o: Why the hell didn't you come over?

Ah, the first meeting he attended with the gang. The younger wasn't very involved in the conversation and ended up spacing out. Seokjin caught him and texted the male who was immediately flustered.

Namjoon specifically remembered that day only because Jackson caught him blushing furiously and thought that the brunet had some sort of flu, asking if he needed to go to the nurse. He saw the mafia boss fighting off a grin when the rest of the members noticed the newest addition's heated face and found it appropriate to voice out their concerns.

Joon: Look what u've done >:(

Jinnie Boss-o: ;)

The change started after the first hook up. Namjoon laughed at how oblivious his pathetic self was.

Jinie Boss-o: Come over

Joon: Do you have hot chocolate? :3

Jinie Boss-o: ...

Jinie Boss-o: Yes but that's not why you're coming over

Joon: Then why-

Joon: Oh 0.0

Once everyone found out about the mafia boss' late night buddy, Namjoon and Seokjin completely lost their bond. Anytime they had to communicate with each other, it was all 'work this' or 'work that'. The raven head only acted as his boss.

Jinie Boss-o: Where's the files I asked for?

Joon: I'm on my way right now.

Joon: Sorry.

Jinie Boss-o: Come to my office.

Jinie Boss-o: I need you to clear some cctv datas from our recent heist.

Joon: On my way.

Joon: By when do you need the report?

Jinnie Boss-o: This afternoon.

Joon: Okay.

Things haven't been the same, to say the least. Especially now that Sehun's around. He hated to admit it but he envied the asshole.

Namjoon had known Seokjin for months yet it only took the other a couple weeks for the mafia boss to label them. Was there something wrong with him? Was it the brown hair? His personality? Maybe he was too clingy or weak. Perhaps his clothing style wasn't up to par.

He looked down, scoffing at the sight of the olive green sweater he had on.

Perhaps.

His phone rang, Jimin's contact popping up. With a sigh, he slid the button to answer.

"I'm guessing you got the donuts?" He threw the cigarette to the ground and crushed it's remains.

"'Course I did. Two boxes at dat." The male on the other line boasted. "I let 'em pick da flav'uhs but da work'uh gave me those dry ass fuckin' red velvet donuts. Just for dat, I'm hackin' intuh der website n' changin' all da ratings tuh one stars."

"Yeah, you go do that." The brunet laughed, standing up from where he was seated. "I'm on my way there."

"Bett'uh hurry o' you'll be left wid da red velvets." Jimin threatened before ending the call.

Namjoon shook his head, going back to the messages to do one last thing.
