Dipper stared at the scene in from of him. He saw forest ruins everywhere. "What is this place? What happened here?" He wondered aloud. It was dead silent all around. "Wow.." He murmured. There were fallen trees, signs of scorched wood and debris, and there was broken cement and burned plants scattered all over the ground. Dipper couldn't imagine what had possibly caused this.

   He decided to consult the journal. He took it out of the bag and set the lantern down on the ground.  He lowered the book and flipped through the pages. but it said nothing about the ruins. But then he flipped through the pages again, and he saw something similar to what was before him.

   Some of the words were slightly smudged. "The Crystal Fountain," Dipper began to read. "The Crystal Fountain stood in the center of the...Forest, where no wildlife stirs or can be... found, and the wind is silent but...can give you the coldest chills. When... activated.." Dipper frowned. Most of the words were too smudged to read, so he read what he could make out. "Glows...Just right..Sparkle...If ever broken...." He couldn't read anymore of the smeared writing. But Dipper knew he had to figure out something, and he soon realized he couldn't do all of this alone. He would need a little help, and he knew just who to ask.
