Chapter 9: Her first Randomizer Beast.

"There we go.~" Some glass broke when a tiny hammer was used to tap the tip of the transparent material, which stuck out of the top of the artificial egg. It shattered into the hole that was molded and she carefully picked up a container full of chemical liquid. It had been an entire day, working from seven o'clock in the morning to late afternoon kept her so engrossed with her project that she forgot about eating again.

The liquid was poured into the hole and before the container was fully tilted to let it out, she used some thin tongs to pick up the Embryo she made that sat inside. With the gentleness of a mother she let it go and watched it sink to the center. To see how it didn't fully reach the bottom of the egg or rise to the top was enough to make a smile pull on her lips. "Yes! Finally! All that's left is the cap!" Her hand reached to the side of the chemistry table and picked up something round that was made of the same substance as the egg. With subtly it was placed on top, next, came a glue gun that she began to use to seal the cracks around the cap. "Great! Hahahaha! Now-- I need Mesogog's help!" Gently into her arms, she picked it up and cautiously stepped away from the table until Stevie jumped to the surface. "Ah!" Out of nowhere, he caught her off guard when he appeared. However, hearing his greeting cry and watching his tail happily flail, put her heart rate at ease.

"Stevie! Bad! No, no, no! I'm carrying an unborn dinosaur child! Shame-- shame!" Her scolding look was enough to make the creature hunker in guilt and lower his pointy ears. "Come-- come! We're going to meet with Mr. Mesogog! I need some help figuring out the Egg's incubation temperature!" Her once disappointing pout quickly switched to a content smile, as she sang a merry tune on her way out. She knew by the sound of Stevie's faint thuds of his feet, that he was following her.

After a while of searching, she chose to check his Throne Room and saw him in his seat once the doors opened before her. Upon closer inspection, she squinted her eyes to look harder, and she could tell he was watching something on a screen near his head and that Zeltrax did the same beside him.

Hm... What episode is this? This time she tiptoed, ran around to get out of their view, and tried to be as quiet as possible so she could get a sneak peek at the screen. Stevie's little paws thud across the floor after her, much to her distaste since she was trying to be sneaky. As awkward as it was, she was spotted in Mesogog's peripherals, to which she heard him growl.

"Zeltax!" The beast spoke up, not once did his attention avert from the screen. Amelia tiptoed a bit more, closer to Zeltrax's arm, and leaned to see the White Ranger on the large screen.

"Yes, lord Mesogog?" Questioned the Cyborg, who she saw nod his head, and waited for him to continue.

"How are we proceeding?" The raspy, prehistoric dino asked and didn't even spare him a glance.

Amelia made sure to be quiet, not even the confused stare from Zeltrax toward her would break her attention from the screen. I can't remember if this is part one or part two of Episode thirteen... Or is it part three? Her brows squinted as she tried to ponder and conclude how far into the storyline they were.

"On schedule, Sir. Angor has been upgraded. If our plan is successful, he will fully occupy the other Rangers." The way she saw the Cyborg place a fist to his chest, she could only assume it was a sign of respect or a salute. She couldn't help but see the dino man turn to look at him as he answered, with a curious glance at the egg in her arms.

"Good. I want to have a chat with this White Ranger," Seeing the beast wave his hand and return his attention to the screen, Amelia watched Zeltrax make long strides away from the throne with an affirmative reply. Now that they were alone for a moment, excitement reflected in her eyes when she stepped closer to Mesogog's chair arm. "I see you finished your egg. Now, let me see it!" There wasn't a second when he looked at her, her giggles filled the space when she hopped around to be in front of him and plopped the egg on his lap.

"Here you go! An adorable unborn, baby raptor! I just need a bit of your help, if that's okay!" She felt triumphant, for both hands clamped onto her hips to express confidence and eagerly inspected his expression of pure interest. Hahahaha! He's got another baby! After all, this Raptor was technically from his DNA! Aw-- now that I think about it, he's a Daddy! Stevie's Daddy and this Raptor's Daddy! With one hand, she did her best to stifle laughter, save for a few snorts that escaped between her fingers.

As he lifted the egg into the light and examined the silhouette of the embryo, the tilt of his head toward her caught her attention so she had to avert her eyes to the side to not disrespect him. "Whatever is going on in that head of yours, it better stay in ther-" He was quickly cut off when she burst into a fit of giggles and waved her hand dismissively.

"N- No! No, no! I wouldn't dare, hahaha! Trust me, you don't want to know!" Dr. Ray couldn't contain herself when he commented on her oddity, nonetheless, her throat cleared, and her vibrant blues met his golden ones. "Anyway! Can you help me? Pleeeeease, please, please, pretty please with a dinosaur bone on top?!~" Once again she made her signature puppy-dog face with puckered lips and leaned her head closer to his face. This earned her a warning growl, to which she heeded and stepped back.

"What is it you need?" She saw it. Reluctance and aimless averting of his eyes so he didn't have to look at her.

That's a nervous tick. Does he even get nervous? Can... He get nervous? Curious blinks were directed at him, but regardless, she answered with the finest smile she could muster. "I don't know much about prehistoric eggs and you know more about Zord Eggs, so I was wondering if you could help me figure out the proper temperature for the Raptor's incubation!" Her feet inched more so she was in front of his feet and when she leaned over to look at the egg he held in the air, it was such a lovely sight to see how well it turned out.

"Approximately the same as most eggs. Although, given the size it needs to reach before hatching, it will take more than the average egg of a bird," Mesogog explained as he looked at the egg once more and hummed in thought. "One hundred and fifteen, at best," Back to her, tan hands gently grasped the egg and giggled when he gave it a lingering stare.

"Thanks Mr. Mesogog! I shall try just that, oh-- wiiiise one!~" With a goofy bow and a little skip in her step, she was about to run away, eager to put the baby in some warmth, until the beast hissed behind her. Confused, she was, which made her turn around and gasp upon seeing Stevie sit on his lap. "Aw!~" It was such a cute sight to see the creature wiggle around and try to get comfy on his legs, however, the growl he received made it curl up and return the gesture. "Hey, don't be so mean! He wants to be with his Daddy!~ After all, he did come from your DNA," Giggling at the last bit, it was difficult to contain when she knew she was right about that.

"Partially. He is mixed with a Manx," His prehistoric head never left the creature and carefully, a claw was used to scratch the top of Stevie's head and they both watched him lean into his touch.

"Hehehe... Maybe so, but he's an adorable little evil baby, isn't he?" Amelia felt no need to take the situation seriously, calling Stevie evil was like calling a cute kitten a killer, it was too fitting to her. All she could imagine was Stevie with a tiny voice laughing evilly while chasing a mouse.

However, she didn't receive another word from him only his attention returned to the screen, and watched in silence. Hmm... He likes to be petted, so. A mischievous grin was hard to hold back, for she tiptoed past his chair, stood behind him, and was about to touch the red spot above his eyes when Zeltrax strode in again.

"I've made the arrangements," The redhead yipped as soon as her hand lifted several inches away from Mesogog's head and shot her gaze to cybernetic ones across from her. "Dr. Ray... What are you doing?" There was a grumble in his otherwise deep and gravelly voice, which she knew was his sound of annoyance.

"Nothing! Nothing at all! Definitely not suspicious in the least.~" Comically her index and middle fingers lifted past the back of Mesogog's head and wiggled, she gave him the bunny ears. As soon as she saw Zeltrax slap a palm to his face, she was about to jerk her fingers away when a pair of red claws snatched them. "Ow, ow, hey! Not so rough! I don't have dinosaur skin like you do!" She could feel the sharpness of his claws dig into her when he pulled her fingers past his head and growled at her statement.

"Why do you continue to disrespect me?! Your punishment will be a long one if you continue this little game of yours!" Even though she was grunting and repetitively saying ow, she couldn't see past his shoulder to notice the amused smirk on his parting jaw.

"I'm not. I'm teasing.~ I used to tease my workmates a lot, before all that... Stuff happened! Don't take things so seriously! At least not with me... Hehehehe," Her giggles were relentless, even in her comedic predicament of leaning over and almost tumbling onto his lap from her position, she still thought it was amusing to poke fun at him. It didn't help to see his head slowly turn to look at her awkward position and examine her as if she had more than one mouth. Upon a sound from his screen, her eyes lifted the best they could and saw the Blue Ranger speed through a path, into a building. "Oh, look. The Blue Ranger's going to show up soon.~ Whatever shall thy evil critter do?~ He couldn't possibly let go of my hand so he could try and slow him down!" Once again, Amelia teased, which earned her an annoyed grumble, and felt the grip on her fingers lessen.

"Nothing must interfere with my plan! Stop him!" As if on cue, a Tyrannodrone was made to appear on the other side of the structure, from what Amelia could see, and watched it hitch a ride on the Ranger's backside. Several more would accompany him later down the path, so the screen changed back to the White Ranger.

"Oh-- oh, can I go with you and meet him too?" Eagerness overwhelmed the redhead when she remembered that Mesogog was going to zap down to meet with the evil dude and supposedly chat. "You said you wanted to chat with him, right? Can I chat? I'd probably talk his ear off though," It was true, she was a social butterfly, an awkward one at that, and her question caused a couple of heads to gradually look at her as if she were more insane than before.

"No," Simply put, Mesogog grumbled and waited for a good moment to pop down and say hi.

"But I like hearing you talk. I mean-- I like seeing you... In action? Never mind," After countless days of being around the dino beast, she found herself slipping up on many occasions and it always earned her some questionable stares. Especially, regarding Mesogog, that Zeltrax and Elsa could both agree that she was odd. Awkwardly she crawled backward over the Throne to hide and inched her way past the back of it, to peek over its edge. "Ignore me. I do not... Exist.~" Whispering, nervously, her cheeks were brightening, and did her best to keep her glasses from falling off.

From the throne, Mesogog stood and gradually trekked more toward the center of the room. "It is hard to ignore you when you're talking. Now..." When he turned to her, the grumpy creature was shoved off of his lap seconds ago and trudged off to go play, which he paid no mind to. "When I return, I want you to do something for me. You will create a creature for me, using my Geno-Randomizer! Should you refuse my demand, you'll find yourself in agony later," Those strict eyes of his were self-explanatory, given that they held a fierce look that could kill if it were possible.

W- What? What?! Oh great... What do I choose? Something to sate my masochism or something new to play with?! Mmm-- I don't know! They both sound so tempting! However, the former is rather personal.~ If it were possible, her face had turned a darker shade of red as a perverted smile spread on her lips, yet again, confusing the dino man and making him examine her from afar. "Uh-- I don't know. Which would you prefer?~ Torturing me? Or letting me play with your Randomizer? Hmm, hard to pick," She hadn't noticed Zeltrax take a step back behind Mesogog, facepalm, and groan at her choice of words.

"You are strange. Most wouldn't ponder such a thing!" Mesogog's quiet growls proved his annoyance when she heard him speak.

Stepping around the throne, she ran to him with a large grin and almost skipped in her step had she not been carrying the egg. I wonder if reverse psychology works on him. Maybe... If I make him believe that the real way to torture me is to not torture me, then he won't torture me? But then again, his fine hide can torture me any day.~ Again, she thought about the least threatening things he'd do to her compared to Solar. Of course, Solar had various other methods besides physical pain to torture her and no thanks to his countless physical methods, her body almost became addicted to it. It was something she was ashamed of but enjoyed if it wasn't severe. "You know... It's considered torture, to not torture.~" Her mouth was hidden behind the top of the egg when she tried not to show her insane grin.

"Are you... A Masochist?" The tilt of Zeltrax's head told her that he was both curious and concerned over her well-being for a change, and amused to say the least.

"Who knows? Are you? If so-- that would explain why you chose to take punishment willingly that day in place of Elsa, hahaha!" Her words and giggle fit made the Cyborg scoff in disbelief with a step closer. Unbeknownst to either of them, Mesogog's eyes darted between the two during their conversation.

"I-- I am not! Besides, it was the honorable thing to do since I had failed lord Mesogog countless times!" The thumb to his chest and an aggressive stance when he drew closer to her, proved his aggravation that much more.

"Well, then-- I got you beat! I failed him more because I hadn't done anything yet! Muahahaha!" Both arms were raised above her head as they held onto the egg and made a fake evil laugh, giggling at the entirety of their argument.

"W- What?! You have accomplished more than we have so far-- how could you have failed him?" Now he was taken aback, most likely due to her baffling attempt to argue with him over something so stupid in front of his master.

"That's because... Everything I've done so far didn't involve the Power Rangers or any progression in his plans.~ Although, if he does decide to use my Chemic Bombs or Barrier Bombs, then I'd be more than happy to see my inventions in action! Oh, great-- Now I'm getting excited!" Her boots clicked rapidly upon the relentless movement of her feet and squealed. "I wonder if I can combine a German Hornet with a scorpion and a skeleton!" There she went, her obsession over DNA spiked the moment she started to ponder the many uses for the Geno-Randomizer and Mesogog's DNA jars that sat on the shelves.

"German Hornets are aggressive insects that are known to sting more than once! Scorpions pack a lot of poison in their tail, so it could make a great replacement for the stinger on the German Hornet! A skeleton would make for a creepy appearance that wouldn't make sense at all for it to be born with! It'd be like a giant, hellish insect on the loose! I wonder if the Power Rangers would have to use a Fly Swatter the size of a human being.~" She went on a mumbling spree after that, unbeknownst to her, they already left during her endless murmurs.

Some time had passed after he and Zeltrax left. Amelia hardly cared to watch the screen he left on, for she was so busy examining the Geno-Randomizer, which the author seriously swears that there were two of them in his lair. Thankfully the egg was put on a table for safety, lest it fall and break amid her swift movements.

"Let's see... If I remember correctly, Elsa did it in an exact order depending on what the more dominant genes are in the selected DNA containers. So if my hunch is right..." Quietly, she pondered and examined the container on the far left of the Randomizer that sat on a pedestal beneath the tube. Then the scorpion was next, after that her eyes landed on a human skull she so happened to find sitting in his lab somewhere.

Carefully, she grasped the far left lever and internally squealed like a fangirl when she was finally allowed to touch the very thing that went against all logic in her world. She hadn't noticed Mesogog and Zeltrax had returned, they both stood quiet to observe her odd behavior.

"Hehehehehahahahahaa! Yes! Perfect! If I raise this lever just so..." Amelia pushed the lever up and stopped just before it went all the way. "Now the scorpion! I just need its tail and poisonous properties!" Just a tad, the second lever was pushed and it barely reached midway. "Now the skeleton! I only want its skull!" To the far right, she sprinted and inched the lever where it moved enough to give it something to work with. "Where's the button thing?" Frantically she searched the various buttons. There were so many but so few to choose from until a red claw grabbed her attention when it moved close to her face. "Hm? Oh, hi-- hello! You're back!" He would've tapped on her shoulder had she not whipped around to see him, and gasped when the giant chamber nearby filled with smoke. "Eee! Hehehehehe! Come on! Come on!" Past a curious dino beast and Cyborg who shook his head, Amelia sprinted and waited for the door to open.

The subtle flails of her tight fists near her stomach and barely bent knees proved how excited she was. "The one contraption that would make little to no logic in my world, makes perfect sense in this one! Because in my world, we don't have a Geno-Randomizer! Most people would think this is absurd! Illogical due to its mechanics and DNA put together! In my world, things can't be rushed, especially growth! This is a masterpiece! An invention that one day, I hope to bring to my world!" She spoke a bit too fast, for the ecstatic look on her face and the bright gleam of inspiration in her eyes said it all.

The tingly and bubbly sensation in her chest made her squeal behind her gritted teeth. The redhead was so busy anticipating the creature's appearance that she didn't get to see the prideful backward tilt of Mesogog's head with a slacked jaw "I'm nerding out, here!" It was true. All things science-related, her passion for it was a bit too strong, even more so that a tiny bit of drool had to be wiped from her lip.

"When it comes to anything related to science... Or, particularly DNA, she seems to go insane. More insane than she usually is," Zeltrax's whisper toward Mesogog luckily wasn't heard by the redhead, but didn't receive a response from the beast either. The lack of a reply caused the Cyborg to peek at him and follow his gaze, finding out that he was staring at her expression. "I don't think anyone's acted like this around you, my lord," He too began to notice the look on her face. It wasn't the insanity coming from her mouth or the sheer excitement she expressed, but it was her lack of fear over her actions and he finally caught on.

Out came a large creature, with Hornet wings that jutted from its back. It looked like a giant Hornet altogether but with the exception of a scorpion's tail, that was curled behind it. Scorpion-like claws, Hornet feet that it used to walk out with like a sentient creature, and a human skull shaped like a hornet's head with nothing in its eye sockets. There was a rib cage that worked as its exoskeleton while its black and yellow colors added to its creepy aspect. "It's... It's!" Amelia gawked, her slacked jaw and frozen posture were enough to say that she was stunned. Unbeknownst to her, Mesogog was taken aback by the silent thing that hardly moved and watched them all in return. "It's aliiiiiive! Come here to Mommy!" With wide open arms and an ecstatic smile, she welcomed it and watched as its wings fluttered at blinding speeds to move to her.

It was so quick that a singular blink was all it took for her to see it mere inches from her face and to feel the gust that came from its powerful wings. Her hair flowed elegantly past her due to the Hornet, nonetheless, with eager hands, she hugged the thing and cooed. "Aw, you're so cute! I shall call you Buzzy Bee!" Her mad giggles and squeals made Mesogog facepalm, yes, the stoic beast facepalmed at the horrible pun name she gave it and it thankfully went unnoticed by her and Zeltrax.

"Take your... Buzzy Bee, to the Power Rangers to test its abilities," Amelia whipped her head around to see the beast speak through his claws, curiously quirking her brow as to why he was doing that in the first place.

"I can't though! You can take him, but I can't interfere with your guy's business. If he succeeds-- can I keep him?~" Still holding onto Buzzy, she ignored the growls and other sounds Stevie made nearby, when he tried to step closer to the giant mutated Hornet.

"Fine. He will be sent out to fight the White Ranger if Angor were to fail," She watched his slow strides toward the giant Bee and his lifting claw that was about to poke it. "You will obey me! Once Angor is down, attack the White Ranger!" It brought a smile to her face when she paid close attention to how his head moved like a dinosaur, however, when his golden eyes looked over at her, the redhead had to recompose herself to hide her amused smile and blush.

He's so close! Hehehehe.~ Stifled laughter was the best she could do to hide her gushing and inner fangirl, but what made her face a darker color was when he inched closer to where their noses almost touched.

"Hmm. Every time I'm close to you... Your face tends to turn red. Why?" There it was, his famous exhale that would normally send shivers down a normal person's spine, unfortunately, it had the opposite effect on her.

"N- No reason!" As fast as her feet could run, she sprinted to a table nearby that had the egg and was about to pick it up when he cornered her. Eeek! Why is he so close behind me?! There was a strange but nice smell that she did her best to ignore. It was a kind of smell she noticed many times beforehand but only ever assumed it was nice cologne. Careful not to crack the egg, she squeezed past the dinosaur with hysterical whines of embarrassment and hurried to the door.

"Lord Mesogog. Permission to prep the Bee for an ambush?" He thought it was odd to see his Master trying so hard to look at her face more. He chose not to dwell on it so much since he knew Mesogog was probably trying to look her dead in the eyes to intimidate her, which resulted in him chasing her across the room.

"Yes. If her creature is as lethal as it appears, she will be the one to create them from now on," Slowly, back to his seat, he sat down and looked at the screen that displayed the White Ranger against Angor. Despite the fight, he couldn't get her red face out of his head or her awestruck gaze that was pointed toward his Geno-Randomizer. There was just something about the way she reacted to him and his creations that piqued his curiosity. Her constant need to tease him was starting to grow on him and he didn't understand why.

"The White Ranger is tireless," With a clawed finger he followed the red zord as it combined with the white one and turned into the powerful titan he saw before. "He's back! Send Angor! Stop him, now!" Through a growl, he ordered and watched the monster who fought the Rangers, appear before the White Ranger. "Angor! Capture him!" Upon its response with a 'My pleasure!', he watched Angor send out chains to encase the Titan.

As he stood from his seat and was soon accompanied by Elsa, he watched on a different screen with fury burning in his eyes. There were times when he'd prefer to stand if he was tired of sitting, which was one of the many reasons why he had multiple screens. "This cannot be happening! Who is this insect?!" When he asked, it all happened too quickly, for Angor was seen getting hit when the Titan leaped and sawed through Angor like a saw blade. Next, came a bright blue beam of energy that shot out and finished off the creature that he had hoped would survive.

"I told you... I don't work for anyone," Suddenly, the screen was switched to show the White Ranger contacting him, and just as fast it turned off.

"Send the Bee!" Just when he yelled through a snarling fit, a familiar oval-shaped portal appeared behind them and caused him to turn to face the approaching soldiers fully.

Guns clicked, laser sights were aimed at them both, and the rage that he felt worsened at the sight. Clapping, laughing, in strode Solar himself with a confident grin that he wanted so badly to claw and rip off. "Amazing, truly! It took us forever to find out that you have returned to your home. And here I thought Dr. Ray had gone to a completely different world! Had I known she'd come back here... I would've met her here sooner," His once disgusting smile fell into a frown of displeasure. When he saw the man's finger whirl in place, the settings on the soldiers' guns changed and a piercing glare was seen from him. "We meet again. But this time... I'm taking you with more force," The snap of his fingers made more soldiers appear and fill the lab, however, when an invisiportal appeared, down came countless Tyrannodrones.

"You are too arrogant!" Hissing, stepping aside with his eyes on the man in white, he circled him like a predator to prey. Elsa went ignored when she stayed with the drones and took out her blade. I cannot fight them straight on. They can paralyze and stun, from what I have been told and what I have seen before. But I doubt they know of my Psionic abilities. Calculative, he was, as he examined each soldier that spread throughout his lab and aimed their guns.

"Hahaha! Arrogant, you say? I spent some time binge-watching your world and reading information that the internet provided. Just so I could be more prepared and use the right situations to my advantage. Now..." Solar trailed off, gradually made his way past his men, and inched closer to the doors. "Men-- take care of them while I find our annoying little redhead," With that, he watched Ace Solar leave them alone with the soldiers who were about to go guns-blazing.
