Chapter 15: Time with Mesogog.

That woman... Is mysterious and she knew my name. Then I saw her again, being chased by some robot. She's able to open portals, too. Gravelly, deep, Gruumm's thoughts were full of curiosity and awe. He had never encountered such a phenomenon unless wormholes and time travel counted for anything. Dimmed rubies stared at a gothic child as she tried to wear the dark heels Amelia forgot about and clacked them together. His backside faced his consoles while he stared into the space before him, lost in thought. I saw it on my screen. She carried strange pistols, threw odd bombs, and wrecked the street they ran through to get away. But SPD appeared and took care of it. I didn't have much time to intervene and kidnap her for questioning. Again, thoughts swarmed his mind. The healing liquid he received from her was soon removed from beneath his bony armor and held into the air for a better view.

He could remember what she said and how fast she spoke. What also caught his curiosity, was the rude human who made soldiers chase her and dared threaten him before he too left, using the same portal device. "It's been days since she arrived on my ship and just yesterday, when I saw her on Earth. What was her name again? I could have sworn she told me during her relentless sputter of words," The tube was returned where he pulled it out from and swiftly whirled around to face his consoles to bring up a screen. He replayed the scene he recorded over and over again, to try and study the robot's mechanics.

How it moved, the way it worked, wasn't anything like he'd seen before. "I am curious if Broodwing has gotten his hands on some of its parts," As he leaned back into his seat and watched the scene play on repeat, a very familiar sound reached his ears. The same sound when the redhead left his ship that day, made him abruptly stand and whip around. Much to his astonishment, there the platinum portal was in all of its mysterious glory, however, what came next was the Scientist who donned her lab coat, and new clothes.

"Hi-- hello! Sorry for popping in like this! Now where is it? Where did they go?" Her broken glasses were adjusted as she lowered her head to examine the metal floor. He couldn't help but watch, for his head tilted slightly to show his curiosity, and saw her look about. From one side to the other, she rushed across and leaned over the railings in hopes that whatever she looked for would appear. "Now I know this was the last place I saw them! I don't have much time since my Beasty is waiting for me and I certainly don't want to keep him waiting!" Across once more, she peeked over the other side, until she rushed to him and lifted his cape for no particular reason. "Excuuuusay muah! Don't mind me! Juuuuust looking for my shooees!~" All around him, she circled, scooted his chair aside, and looked beneath that.

The child nearby was giggling at her behavior, he'd be lying if he denied that he found her a little annoying. "Mora! Her shoes," Not once did his rubies move from her impulsive, energetic form, but he didn't need to look to see the child rise to her feet and hug the heels to her chest.

"But Gruumm! They're pretty! She left them here, so they're mine now!" He could see that the redhead was taken aback by the girl's stubbornness, but he knew she made a good point and chuckled.

"Aw! You're so adorable! I love your dress!" That was something he wasn't expecting. Past his tall height, he watched her run to the child and crouch to her level to pet her head. "Aren't you just the cutest? Hey!" With a snap of her finger and a gasp from her lips, Gruumm saw her reach into her lab coat with a smirk. "How about we do a little trade?" The redhead questioned, pulled out a creepy Barbie Doll, and swayed it from side to side. "This horrifying Barbie Doll for my shoes! That way your sweet little doll can have a playmate! I'm happy that my Beasty let me snatch a toy just in case! I had a feeling you would have them!" Giggling, she was, for the Emperor watched with genuine curiosity as Mora squealed happily and nodded.

"Yes! Finally! Cindy Sunshine would be happy to have someone new to play with!" Mora hopped, excited about the new toy, and didn't waste a second to swap for the new doll.

"Yeah! It's never fun to be alone, right? Make sure you give the Barbie a really pretty and sinister name!~" Again, the redhead patted the girl's head.

"I think I will call you Mavis Doom!" As Mora cooed and hunkered away, Gruumm was speechless, to say the least.

"Who are you... Exactly? How did you do that?" He had so many questions right now it wasn't funny. His gradual steps toward her caused her to giggle and leap back with a lift of her portal device.

"I think I said my name before! But too bad! I have to hurry!" When he saw her point the device to the side and make the portal appear, he shot indigo electricity the second she was about to enter. It was enough to make her jolt from the surprise and yip.

"Where do you think you're going? I want an explanation... As to what that thing was, who you are, how you know my name when you're from another world, and who those guys were that chased after you! I... Have spent... Days and days, thinking that it was just my imagination! Because I haven't slept since I arrived at this miserable planet, I started to believe you weren't real! Until... I saw-- this," When he turned to show his screen, he let her see the scene repeat over and over. Her smiling expression fell to astonishment once her blue eyes were set on the display.

"Oh! I am Dr. Amelia Ray! Ex-employee of the Ace Solar Facility who escaped from their grasp and is currently being hunted by those pricks! What you saw there is a Cyborg that I helped create! A Chromium Assassin! An older model that Solar, seemingly decided to use to try and kidnap me and take me back! So I decided to use SPD to my advantage since they seem to be the only ones capable of handling its speed! Buuuut I think that's enough of an explanation-- may I go now? Pleeeease?! Please, please, please, please, pretty please?!" Close to his form, she spun in place with her fingers intertwined and gave him her famous puppy dog eyes and lip pout.

All was silent for a solid one to two minutes, Gruumm was astounded by her fearless behavior. The fact that she would act like that in front of someone as dangerous as him and not expect the worst, yet, it also intrigued him. "No," Plain and simple, his answer was. To see her grin and pull out a pistol roughly point-blank, her giggles didn't help his amusement.

"If you don't let me go... I'm afraaaaid you'll just have to put up with my nonsensical ramblings and scientific words that most likely will give you a headache! Which I doubt you will enjoy, seeing as you have a hard time with that child on your hands and the stupidity and failures of your minions.~ Do you honestly want to keep me around?" Twirling around during her lengthy speech, the pistol was aimed at him when some distance between them was made.

"Yes," He was awestruck by her personality. There was fearlessness in her blue eyes. He was amused if anything and to hear that she was the one who helped create such a thing nearly made him forget his question, as to how she knew his name.

"Oh, come on!" Groaning, annoyance was obvious if the rolling of the eyes and craning her head back pretty far was anything to go by. However, this time, a second pistol was pulled out, and a new fire was set in her eyes. From a simple click, he heard her pistols charge and watched as cybernetic lines lit up. "Alright... Let's make this quick, please. I don't want to stall, I don't want to involve you, or anyone else for that matter. It's bad enough I got my Beasty involved so I don't want you to either. So-- what do you want, so I can leave? Considering your personality, I'm assuming you'd want a trade of sorts, or demand me to support your cause for-" Before she could so much as say anything else, Gruumm struggled to hold back his villainous laughter.

"Aaaahahahahah!" Clapping, leaning his head back, the whole situation made him want to fall on the floor and crack a bit harder. Alas, he didn't, it took him a few to compose himself and grasp his staff that sat against his console. "You're amusing. No. I don't want to trade, or keep you here for anything! I just want more answers. Thorough answers... And depending on your answers determine whether I should vaporize you on the spot or not. If you helped create that thing then surely you have a very capable mind that could potentially outshine any known scientist I've met. And... Your weapons fascinate me. I've never seen blasts leave molten holes through solid structures or metal before, especially ones that are as dense as the machine I saw on Earth, chasing you. And those bombs... Do not get me started on those," Close to his side the bulb of the staff was pointed toward her and flared to life.

"I really don't have time to sit here and explain to you. So, either, you let me go, or I'll throw one of those bombs and leave you a bleeding mess," Amelia was never one to threaten or lose her positive attitude, but when serious situations called for it, she would drop her facade and act accordingly. "Which would leave you with no choice but to use and test out the healing properties of the Rejuvenation liquid I gave you," Strict blue eyes bore into his rubies, to which he chuckled.

"You drive a hard bargain," The second he reeled his staff back, was when he saw her pull out a bomb too late. His staff's energy soon hit a wall of crimson when she threw it. He had to pull it back to cease fire and saw her leave in a flash of platinum, as the wall of red soon disappeared. He couldn't help but stand there in stupor, at a loss for words over the fact that she managed to escape him. "Huh-" That was all he was able to do, was make a sound of disbelief.

"Me. The Evil Emperor Gruumm, bested by a scientist that only uses a couple of pistols and a bomb," Backward into his seat, he slumped, and put his staff aside. Leaning back, his head did the same and was staring into the space above him for the longest time, ignoring Mora's inaudible sounds as she played. "She's interesting," With that, he swirled his chair around and proceeded with his observation of the Power Rangers.

~~~~
"Sorry it took so long! Gruumm gave me a bit of trouble, as I expected. Thanks for giving me a bit to buy the doll, I was right to assume the child had them! Shall we continue? I got my heels back!" A pair of dark heels were lifted in front of Mesogog, who kept up with Anton's human form. "Thanks for letting me grab them before we head out. I reaaaally needed to find them, they were expensive, hahaha!" To her, it was hilarious, how she forgot them for so long and finally remembered where she last saw them. I need to stop visiting worlds so much, but it's the only thing I can think of to use to get away unless... Wait-- why haven't I thought of it before?! I could've used my portals to go to other places in Dino Thunder away from society, to escape my pursuers! I'm so stupid! With a nasty facepalm that would probably leave a red mark on her forehead, she groaned and didn't notice the small flinch from the beast.
"Now, let's hurry," Just when she peeked through her fingers to look at him, the invisiportal appeared, and watched as he began to make his way to it. His smirk wasn't noticed since his back was to her, nonetheless, she followed and placed the heels against the wall nearby to put away later.
"Wait! Where are we going?" Not a flinch, nor hesitation, she was pulled through along with him and soon found herself in front of a clothing store. Hold on-- isn't this supposed to be the episode where Mesogog ambushes Kira? I think that's how it goes. Because I remember Tyrannodrones, and Kira, and a bone fossil monster thing. It's very vague but I think this is it. Pondering, humming curiously, she was too lost in thought that she yipped when a harsh tug on her wrist pulled her forward.
"You're going to be my assistant in this. I have put together a plan and in place of Dr. Tommy Oliver's absence, I will take over his class. Elsa has already prepared most of the setting, so you will need something more fitting to wear," Through the store, as he spoke, there wasn't a moment when she saw him look back at her.
"Oh.~ That's right, I transformed and my clothes are a bit ripped, especially my pantyhose," Blue eyes drifted to see her tattered covering and small rips on the sides of her black leather skirt, which she noticed a few of the gems were missing.
"Find something and be quick about it. It is seven in the morning, so you have roughly thirty minutes to find something and another thirty to make it to Reefside High School," Amelia winced a little when his grip on her yanked her into the women's clothing section and almost tumbled if she didn't grab a hold of a rack.
Over her shoulder, a bit of anger welled up inside and to prove how she felt she let him see her displeased frown. "Apologize. That hurt," Tapping her foot, scowling, and rubbing her wrist, her arms were fast to fold against her chest.
They had the strongest and most intense glaring contest of all history. One minute, two, three, the constant tapping of her foot and narrowing eyes was proof that she wasn't going to back down. Her stubbornness was enough to cause him to grumble and step close to her face. Hold my ground, hold my ground! Dinosaurs love it when prey gives in or runs away! I am not prey! Despite her internal encouragement, the strength in her stare began to waver the second their noses touched and his eyes turned gold to intimidate.
"The longer we stand here, the more late we will be. I never... Say sorry," On his lips came a smirk that added to her reddening face, but that still wasn't enough to make her back down.
Keep it together! Gulping, small bits of nervous sweat could easily be noticed. "First time for everything. Say it," She could feel the heat rise more and more to her cheeks the more she stared into his gold eyes. What almost made her give up was when she saw his smirk broaden and his eyes squint, a mischievous intent was evident.
"I..." He began, lifted a finger, and was going to adjust her glasses until he paused mere inches from the side of her cheek. "Am--" That was it, she couldn't take it and took several steps back with a sound that he seemed to crack at, behind a hand he used to hide his eyes.
"Good enough, I guess! Alrighty! I'm going!" In a hurry, she sped through clothes and cut him short. Little did she know that he was going to say something else instead of an actual apology, but she needed some space pretty badly.
Why was he so close to me? I swear, he's enjoying himself a bit too much messing with me! Was he flirting with me? Has he been flirting? I can't tell! Why would he anyway? He's evil, I'm ugly as crap, and I know for a fact no one would be interested in me so-- no! No, he's just being a douche to get a kick out of my personal space issue! That and... Hehehehe, his eyes. Even in Anton's body, he's hot.~ That cold stare compliments his predatory eyes! Shivers of delight made her giggle. There wasn't a second where her face would return to normal, for the crimson color remained the entire time she went inside the changing room to dress herself.
She came out with white tight pants on, and some simple red strap heels that exposed her ankles and toes, donning a cute ruffled, long-sleeved red blouse with bits of bright blue. She gave him a quick twirl and flicked her hair to give him a dramatic appearance. Next, with her arms up, she struck a pose that everyone who walked past her simply chuckled at. "What do you think? I suck a fashion but I tried.~" Her crooked glasses were quickly adjusted before she pulled on her curls to make them sit over her shoulder.
Glancing at other customers, she didn't notice Mesogog's astonishment that befell his face. Only when she heard a clunk did she lift her gaze to him and see his expression. "Oh, come on. I know I'm ugly but staring is rude... Oh-- you dropped something!" Her heels clicked over to him as she drew closer, leaned over to pick up some sort of case, and saw that it was meant for glasses. If only she knew the nasty glares he gave to some guys who passed by her, staring at her. "A glasses case?" Curiously she lifted it to him and grinned, but all she received was a nervous avert of his cold eyes.
"You needed some new ones. Put them on," As fast as she saw him, he took the tags off of her outfit, made quick strides to the register, and paid for her new attire. With that, he trudged back to her, if anything it left her confused.
Why is he acting aggressively suddenly? Is my outfit that bad? I must be embarrassing to look at, haha! Oh well.~ A sad smile pulled on her lips before a harsh tug on her hand made her follow behind him out of the store. During their trek, the glass case was opened and inside were new ones that were rimmed with a vibrant blue. "They're pretty! Thanks!" Giggling, chucking her old ones away when a trash bin outside was passed by, the new ones were put on about as quickly as when he turned into an alleyway.
Once more, an invisiportal appeared and was thankful that he decided to carry her lab coat since she wasn't going to look very presentable with it on. Once they appeared in Elsa's office, she had to peek around his broad shoulders to see the woman stand from her seat.
"Anton Mer... I mean, Sir. I have prepared everything. You'll find Dr. Oliver's classroom just down the hall closest to the restrooms-- and... Why is Dr. Ray with you?" The redhead saw Elsa's, or, better yet, Principal Randell's eyes squint curiously in her direction and return her gaze to Mesogog's current disguise.
"She will be keeping an eye on the teenagers. I doubt she'd let anything ruin the flow of this world, should she find anything that threatens it," Over his shoulder, she saw him smirk at her and adjust his tie, before he turned and forced her to tag along out of the office.
"I feel special," Giggling and talking to herself, down the hall they went. Her eyes lingered on his backside the entire time, however, when a name tag was tossed to her over his shoulder, she caught it and saw her name.
"Put that on. It is temporary and proves you're my assistant," During their trek, she didn't waste a second and quickly stuck it onto her shirt.
Moments later, they waited to enter the classroom, with the guidance of Principal Randell in front and her greeting the students. "Good morning, class! I would like you to meet your new teacher and his assistant! Dr. Anton Mercer and Miss Amelia Ray," To the side she stood to allow him entry.
Right behind him, Amelia followed, stood close to his side with her hands clasped in front, and gave the students an awkward smile. "Morning class," The supposed Anton spoke, as the redhead gave them all a silent wave of her fingers.
The murmur from Kira almost made her crack if she hadn't turned her head to try and distract herself from the humor of it. Hahahaha! Pretty good for eighty! That being directed to Mesogog, I can't help it! Her stifled giggles made an occasional glance from the beast in disguise.
"Dr. Mercer has graciously agreed to take over until your teacher gets back on his feet. I would like you to treat him with the same respect, that you would treat Dr. Oliver. The same goes for Miss Ray. She may be his assistant but she excels in many science subjects," With that, Amelia smiled, appreciating the compliment Elsa gave her, and noticed a swift smirk before she passed her to leave the room.
"Thank you! Well, let me uh-- let me start by saying how honored I am to be here. What I'm handing out to you now are permission slips," He began, giving them to Amelia which she took without complaint. "These are for your parents to sign," He added.
Oh cool! I'm helping him out! Hehehe! Giggling once again, the small but fast scuffs of her heels past each desk let her pass out each slip and gave them all a friendly smile.
"We'll be going on a field trip tomorrow, to a museum. I trust you will all be able to make it," With that, he strode around a desk and pulled out some worksheets regarding the very subject Dr. Oliver previously gave them before his absence. "Miss Ray, here," Amelia didn't think twice before coming over behind the desk and holding her hands out.
Across each student, she passed the papers out and soon stood behind the rows of desks to observe Mesogog's teaching methods. I never got to see this part in the episode! Mesogog teaching children, hahaha! This is too cute! There she went, her inner fangirl and imagination took a wild ride again. Watching as he began to write on the chalkboard and staring with pure intent to see how he'd handle their behavior.
"Psst- Miss Ray?" A boy nearby whispered. To the side, her eyes moved to see the kid who had short brown hair and a plaid shirt, which she smiled and nodded. "You look like you just came out of a horror film," His snickering and his words caused her to frown.
Seeing the boy's friend slap his shoulder and chuckle at his statement only made the woman knit her brows. What does he mean by that? I'm not scary! Unless he's saying that I'd be the type who screams and runs down the halls away from the monster, inside the horror film. Maybe... But that's just mean! Shaking her head, forcing a smile, it fell just as fast as it appeared when she saw Mercer glaring daggers at the boy.
"Mr. Greyson, right? I'd advise you to keep your thoughts to yourself," She saw it, fury burned in his eyes before he sighed, looked at her with a bit of a softer stare, and faced the chalkboard to continue.
Did Mesogog just... Naaaah! No way! Did he stand up for me?! That's impossible, he's not the type! Small chuckles escaped when she covered her mouth, it was hard not to blush at his gallant actions.
It wasn't long until School was over. Eating a late lunch outside away from everyone gave her some space from the prying, judgmental eyes. Her fork prodded some greens on her plate, the silence and the soft wind against her was nice compared to the boisterous chatter. However, when she was about to take a bite, a pair of black shoes halted next to her feet and caught her attention.
"I just finished speaking with Trent. So... Anything out of the ordinary?" Cold blue eyes looked down at her, there was a struggle on her part not to grin at him.
"Nope! All good! And thanks for um... Earlier. Anyway! I never got to tell you my conclusion to Solar's next possible ambush!" Straight to her feet with the plate in her hands, some green beans were pushed into her mouth.
"Do tell," His slow exhale and adjustment of his tie, told her he was uncomfortable wearing it.
"Solar will be sending more of those Cyborgs. Most likely because he ran out of men and he's waiting for more recruits. So-- that means, until then, we're looking at a lot more of those things! I thought about creating a Plasma Cannon to fight against them! Considering how long it usually takes to get recruits. Approximately four days, at best, is when he will be back. It takes a while for him to go through all of the applications and profiles of each recruit. What do you think?" To resist the urge to hop like a bunny was like trying to resist moving when an antsy feeling occurs, for she did just that and almost lost her food to the grass. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoops!" Thankfully it was caught, however, her fork met fatality since it landed in the dirt. "Aw, man... Oh well! I was forced to eat dirt before!" Without another thought, she leaned down, picked it up, and began to eat again regardless of the dirt that got on the greens.
"Uh-- right... I will prepare something stronger to fight them then. Plasma is the only thing that can melt them or do any sort of damage. If they barge into my lair, I'm going to defend it," Not another word was spoken, only a smirk on his lips that she saw momentarily, before he opened an invisiportal to leave.
"Wait, you're going to make something stronger than a Cannon? Now I have to know!" She was quick to finish her meal and bolt after him through the portal.
~~~~

The next day came around sooner than she expected. Amelia was clad in her previous outfit, following the supposed Mercer's side, and giggling. Of course, she never got to find out what he planned to make, that was stronger than a cannon. "Alright, come along now! We don't want to keep our prehistoric friends waiting!" As she watched him look back at the crowd, one glance at her sent her into a smiling mess, before he made his way through the door.

Her heels clicked when she stepped inside and looked around her. The museum was full of dinosaur statues and displays, fossils galore when she trailed beside Mesogog in disguise to examine each object. Woohoo! Why does it feel like I'm on a date with Mesogog?! Of course, that's just me thinking. I know it's not a date, but he bought me some new clothes and he's taking me to a museum full of scientific knowledge! I could learn a lot about dinosaurs here to help me understand their DNA that I'd take in! I know a few dinosaurs but I'm certainly no expert in all of them. If I can get information on a Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Gigan, or a Spinosaurus, that would be amazing! Oh! Oh, my! I wonder if Mesogog would let me go deep-sea diving to look for any potential aquatic fossils relating to dinosaurs! I could have DNA that no one else could have! Her mad giggles distracted her so much that she hardly paid attention to Anton's explanations until the next thing he said caught her attention.

"And just ahead here is a Triceratops from the Cretaceous period. Strictly herbivores, hunted by the Tyrannosaurus Rex," He explained, which Amelia chimed in with her on two cents after she leaned close to his side.

"Say-- if I turn myself into a half Triceratops, wouldn't that mean you would want to hunt me down?~ You have Rex DNA in you too, right?~" Her whispers made Mesogog's eyes dart to her with a questioning stare, just to see him huff and smirk. Hehehehe... He can hunt me down and chase me any day.~ Once again her face brightened, if she hadn't stifled her giggles and hid her grin he probably would have pushed ahead of her.

"I'm more refined than that," He whispered back, cleared his throat, and averted his gaze. "Fall back and keep the students distracted. My Tyrannodrones should be in the back, close to the three I need. Keep everyone else busy," This time when he leaned close to her ear and spoke, she knew that she needed to do this to help the storyline take place.

Without further ado, she stepped back, gave him a playful salute, and chuckled when he straightened up. "Yes, Sir! I am the very definition of distraction.~ In case you haven't noticed, hehehe," Nodding, she made her way to the lingering students and saw Kira leave the group. The second she and disguised Mesogog noticed Cassidy follow her, the beast did the same to prevent her from ruining his plan.

"Alright, everyone! If you come over here-- this piece is one of my favorites!" Sprinting over to a Spinosaurus fossil that hung on a wall, she squealed when she recalled the movie Jurassic World and how powerful it was in the water. Once they caught up to her, she twirled on her heels, made a dramatic pose as if to show off a fancy car, and laughed. "This is a Spinosaurus! It's a deadly predator in the water and could easily snatch a Tyrannosaurus Rex if it ever got too close to its natural habitat! It's a nasty Carnivore that mostly eats Aquatic life forms and on occasion, should any get close enough-- land creatures! Its spine is a fin that gives it speed in the water! If you look closely, you'll see how lengthy its teeth are! Which could potentially pierce even the denser hides of prehistoric creatures!" With a clap of her hand, she slowly made her way toward another piece and surprisingly, there were a few students who were amazed by the information. Not a lot of guides go on a spree of what a dinosaur can do, so I want to make this interesting! Scuffing her heels and trying her best to seem professional, the woman stopped at a Brontosaurus whose long neck stretched far.

"This, my dearies-- is a Brontosaurus! With their long tails, they're able to smack away most predators and send them crashing! Of course, these guys are Herbivores, they prefer leafy greens and their extended necks help them reach into taller trees to eat! They would normally use their weight against their enemies to stomp on them though, much like Elephants that see a mouse running about.~" Her silly behavior, when she pretended to be a mouse and made little sounds to mimic one, caused a few kids to laugh.

"Kinda like an old lady who climbs onto a chair to get away from one!" One girl in the back giggled and earned herself a few more from the others.

"Hahahaha! Yes! Nice one!" Amelia was having a blast, being a guide replacement had its perks, but when she heard disguised Mesogog's voice in her ear she squeaked.

"It's almost over. I'll take it from here. The three have removed themselves from the group, so my plan is in motion," With that, his blue hues flashed gold for a moment before they went back to their normal human color, and saw him turn his attention to the others.

It wasn't too much longer that the tour was over. Back at the lair, Amelia knew that the Rangers fought the beast that took control of Kira's mind, however, what he said when they returned kept her puzzled.

"I wonder why he told me not to enter his Throne Room. It's very vague, but I do remember something relating to Mercer taking control of himself again, and Mesogog fights for it... Near the end of the episode. Is this near the end? That must mean he doesn't want me to be near Mercer when he takes control! Which also means-- he doesn't want me to be swayed by anything Mercer would say to me! I need to see him," As she paced back and forth with Stevie, who hitched a ride on her shoulders, she trekked slowly toward the doors.

"I already finished Stevie's training for the day. He's getting a lot better at listening to me and flying! Maybe during our next training, I could teach him how to dance! Yes! Hahahaha! A dancing dinosaur! Not only would that promote his maneuverability but also his flexibility!" Clapping, sprinting the best she could with a fifty-pound hybrid on her shoulders, excitement was evident in her broad grin.

It took her roughly a few minutes to reach the throne room, which on her way, she collected her dark heels, and stood in the doorway. Worry etched onto her face when she saw Mercer clad in a black coat of sorts, trying to keep himself together. His whispers were hard to decipher, but she knew what was happening and it made a frown pull on her lips. I feel sorry for Mercer having to go through this... If only there was a way I could separate the two without Mesogog losing his humanity. That will have to be something I work on in secret. I know, close to the end of the series, he gets desperate and separates himself from Mercer. In doing so-- he sacrifices his humanity and becomes more primal. I wonder if I can replicate the potion he'll use to separate himself. Creating a lesser clone to continue the storyline and keeping the real version's humanity intact, all at the same time separating him from his human side-- is going to be my biggest project ever. Gulping, it hurt to watch Mercer go through the changes.

Seeing him transform into Mesogog despite the struggle to stay in control, she was half tempted to make herself known. Although the idea of relieving tension was great, she knew better than to interfere. The current display was an important scene in the Series, and it proved his struggle all the more.

Groaning, exhaling, monstrous grumbles in the air, she was watching Mesogog slowly stand after he fell, and couldn't help but overhear his raspy words. "You are weak, Anton... Weak..." As she saw the dino man lift a glass syringe with green liquid inside, it dripped back into the container he took it from. "And Pathetic," Amelia could almost hear a growl of annoyance. "As long as I am alive, my plan to bring back our time of glory will go on as scheduled! Power Rangers-- or no Power Rangers!" The way his head moved seemed nearly mocking, for his attention went from one side to his other, and the moment it did, his gaze locked with blue ones.

Silence befell them both, for they stared at each other like a couple of statues and roughly a minute or two had passed by the time one of them decided to break it. "Why are you staring at me? This shouldn't be a surprise, to you," His slow turn toward her and the tilt of his head, hardly caused a reaction from the redhead.

The softness in her eyes showed her sympathy. She can relate to the transformations, the misunderstandings, the hatred for mankind, the nasty looks from people, and the insults as if he were an enigma to all life. The loneliness from it felt too familiar. Not a word was spoken, only her quiet, slow steps carried her closer to his side and she stared into his confused but hateful gaze. "It's not. I just... I do worry about you... You know? I know how painful the transformations are. Your hatred for humans is something I can understand and relate to. Loneliness can be a burden, but it can give you freedom, too. You may not realize this-- but your drive toward your goal doesn't stem from your hatred. It comes from something much deeper than that," Amelia had to swallow some spit from the emotional stir that threatened to show on her face. Something she didn't want to show in front of anyone, so she chose to hide the pain to try and stay strong.

"What could be deeper? Anger is what drives me. You know this, too. I saw it on your face, in your voice, your words, your movements," Mesogog listed off the things he recalled that day when she took a sample of the radiation. The way she thrashed about and screamed, was enough proof of the anger she kept inside.

"No. It's not. Think about what created my anger. Think about it really hard... What is it?" This time she gave him a firm stare only she removed her glasses and put them on the table they both stood in front of. For once, she saw his cogwheels turn, his silent stare and faint grumble. When he didn't answer, she lifted her palm and placed it between the red spots above his eyes and watched his gaze flutter from the warmth. "Social neglect, unfair judgment, harassment, abuse, social rejection, and feeling like no one accepts. Feeling like no one will ever understand. Think about it, Mr. Mesogog. You're the only one who hasn't pushed me away, the only one who hasn't called me a freak," Her voice was softer when she explained and gradually became a whisper. When he was leaning into her palm more and more, she didn't stop him, not even when he was mere inches from her face. "Imagine yourself in complete darkness. Now... Imagine, hundreds of people appearing and stepping away from you. They don't look like you, they don't talk like you, or think like you. They reject you. Tell me-- what do you feel?" Aside from her attempt to appear strong, her throat tightened all the same when she tried to gulp down the need to cry. Deep down she hoped her question would make him think about that, make him open his eyes a little bit where no one else has before.

"I think... I'll leave with that. Something for you to think about," From there, she held onto Stevie, put her glasses back on, and ignored the stare she received. The dark heels were left behind when she exited the Throne Room, she had no idea how much that affected him and she wouldn't know for a long time.

"No. Nope. Definite no. She won't work. He's weak," Solar, who sat behind his hover desk, groaned after the second to last application and profile were reviewed. A hand rubbed his porcelain face when he leaned back into his cushioned seat, however, his dark eyes drifted to the last one and lifted a brow. "Hmm. This one looks promising. Someone who fought in the army and was in the police force. Combat skills are that of the highest rank possible, so that's good. He wants to be a commander?" A smirk played on his lips at the thought of a new able body to do his dirty work.

On the holographic screen, his gloved finger tapped Accept, below the guy's name, and chuckled. "With a new commander... Better recruits will pour in faster. Now... I haven't seen C71.9X and it's been a full twenty-four hours. It looks like whoever destroyed it, will have their hands on some pretty old technology. And my portal device!" From calm to furious, out of his seat, he bolted and grumbled.

"You!" As he ran through the door to his office, one of the soldiers who was seen looking through the long glass window to the lab was approached. "Tell everyone to look for the parts of C71.9X! I want it located so I can go on a retrieval mission. Search through Dino Thunder and SPD, since that seems to be her main focus of escape! I cannot allow anyone to take my device!" With a finger to the warrior in black armor and an assault rifle, the veins in his neck were evident before he saw them sprint to the other end of the hall.

"If Mesogog gets his hands on it, we're in trouble. No... I'm in trouble! That would mean he'd have access to other worlds. He'd be able to come here and ruin everything I've worked hard for!" Screaming aloud, red with anger, Solar ran through his Facility and took the elevator to reach the basement floor.

Once he arrived at the Robotics room, the woman he ordered around before, was seen piecing together the one thing he knew Amelia would be angry about. "Miss Jamie, I want you to send two more Chromium Assassins after Amelia Ray! This time-- I'll have only one of them carry a portal device and this device will be a temporary one. It will only have a couple of uses before it breaks, so that way... No one can get their hands on it!" A harsh fist dented a metal table to his side when his anger got the better of him.

"But-- Sir! Forgive me, but we're still putting together more Cyborgs. And the preservatives are still being--" Miss Jamie, whose blond hair was up in a tight bun and worked on a frame of one of the Cyborg bodies, turned to face him with utter fear in her green eyes.

"I don't care! We have plenty of them in storage! Use them. It's only two Assassins, anyway! Make sure to not use one of the newer models, otherwise-- the Power Ranger worlds she would visit, would end up with higher advantaged technology than what the older models are. Do. Not. Question. Me," Threat laced his words after he directed a finger at her, which she nodded and hurriedly ran to one of the storage rooms.

"Yes, Sir! Right away!" Not a second was wasted when he saw her pull out a container, some sort of brain inside liquid before she got to work.

Satisfied, he nodded and turned on his heel to leave the room. If the next couple of Cyborgs fails, I'll have to use other means. I'd have to guess her location in Mesogog's lair and approach her myself. For a moment, he pondered and hardly cared that a deep grumble of displeasure left his lips.
