Chapter 10: Her true talent.

A/N: WARNING! A lot of blood and death, steer clear if you cannot handle severed limbs and stuff :3!

~~~~~
Left and right, as Ace Solar strode down the halls, he'd flick the portal device to the side and bring out more soldiers along the way. "I want every soldier to stay in the area where I bring them! I cannot have that Dinosaur prick interfere! The more crowded his lair is, the harder it will be for him to barrel through to get to me," Explained and ordered the dark-haired man with a lift of his hand, for he watched them salute to his words before prepping their guns.
Satisfied he was, with that, he continued down the halls to let the group spread out for some space and explored the lair. The further he went, the more he checked each room and the more he trekked, the more soldiers were stationed.
He didn't want to leave a single chance for Mesogog to reach him, because after he finds the redhead, he plans to rough her up a bit. His fists clenched as his jaw tightened, never in his life had he been so fed up with the lack of cooperation and he'd make sure he'd receive it too.
Inside the lab, there sat the prehistoric egg. Encased by a rectangular glass that sat on a warmer, heat could be felt when Amelia's tan hands pushed a little more on the lid to ensure it was closed. When a simple click sound it notified her that it latched and her broad grin pulled on the corners of her lips. "Now then! Let's see... While waiting on some results, I should start planning. So, if we lost Solar some days ago, most likely he would be using every scientist to find my location. He probably wouldn't think to check the same place twice, hahaha!" Giggling to herself, she spun around to start pacing back and forth.
"But if he did manage to find me... What would I do? Buzzy Bee is with Mesogog and is waiting to be used to fight the White Ranger, so it's on standby at the moment. Buzzy could be a good bodyguard if Solar tried to attack, but then again the laser shots and paralysis shots could render it useless or out of commission for good," Her constant mumbling kept her so engrossed in planning that she didn't hear the warning growls from Stevie, who hunkered in response to an unfamiliar scent he picked up.
"If there was a way I could severely wound Solar enough to retreat and not return for several more days, I'd do it. Depending on the situation I'd be in would determine what would be needed to hurt him badly enough. If he was in any room, I'd probably have to pop down a Barrier Bomb to give myself a shield and use my Plasma Pistols to shoot around it. I cannot risk getting anyone hurt in this world or potentially have someone killed!" Seriousness clouded her eyes the more she pondered and folded her arms.
However, after her rambles, her ears picked up on the growls from Stevie and made her look at him worriedly. "Stevie? What's wrong?" She'd never seen him so defensive before, especially facing the door as if a big bad monster was about to pop right in and attack.
When realization hit, upon the sound of heavy footfalls in the halls, she sprinted and picked her Franken Baby up in the process. Quickly into a corner, stashed away into a small container with a lid she could easily flip up, her fingers pressed to her lips to shush his insistent whines. "Not now, baby. Bad people are here, you need to stay quiet!" Her whispers were loud but hushed, which expressed how severe the situation was, and thanked the stars above that he hunkered deeper into the container.
This isn't good! I know those footsteps from anywhere! Okay, think-- if it's Solar then I'll need to find Mesogog as soon as possible to make sure no one's trying to capture him. If it's a horde of soldiers, I could flick a Chemic Bomb to kill them off or use my portal to reach him faster! Either way, I'd be returning to Mesogog in the end! I need to go to him and keep him safe! Her thoughts were frantic, but she stayed calm regardless and made several cautious steps closer to the door.
Her back pressed against the wall when she pulled out one of her Pistols and her portal device, for she listened carefully with bated breath as though monsters were soon to ambush her. She wouldn't be wrong if she labeled them as that, though, considering all the hell they put her through. Gulping, she could hear the steps getting louder and louder by the second, seemingly increasing her nervousness.
"Check in here!" There it was, Ace's voice. The second she saw the doors open, the portal device was pointed at the floor below her feet so she wouldn't have to think before charging in.
"No! Sir, we just missed her!" After a soldier had appeared and hollered back to their boss, Solar growled furiously and ran back in the other direction where Mesogog was.
Through the portal, she fell, landing on top of a soldier on the other side, and heard them grunt. "She's here! Fire!" A Commander who stood closer to Mesogog with their gun aimed, pointed to the redhead who rolled out of the way and sprinted through the horde.
Countless laser shots spat from the impressively sized number of soldiers. However, Amelia didn't stop for a second to ponder a proper combat tactic or to calculate her odds, she relied on her scientific mind as if it were second nature, for she leaped and skidded across the floor. She thought it best to switch settings, so with a flick of a switch, it was set to rapid fire, and hundreds of plasma pellets flew across the room.
She ignored the Tyrannodrones that were taking out the other half of the horde and Elsa who was shot by a paralysis shot. Mesogog, however, was watching her closely the entire time, despite snapping someone's neck to kill one of them.
I have to get closer! Closer! I'll need my Barrier! Rolling sideways, she got behind one of the beast's contraptions that was in his throne room, and took a second so she could prepare for a full-burst sprint. Everyone was focused on her now since she arrived. Out of her pocket came her Barrier Bomb, which she tossed in front of Mesogog and watched it expand a wall of energy before him. Of course, this took him by surprise but still kept his composure.
With a hard push, she sprinted and barely felt the wind on the back of her neck when a laser zipped past. Her panicked but focused state hardly faltered, for she was fixated on reaching Mesogog to think of anything else.
The second she reached him, crouched, and tugged on his sleeve to gesture for him to do the same, she gave him the most stern expression she'd ever given anyone. "Mr. Mesogog," Quietly, despite the flurry of laser bullets hitting the barrier, she saw him crouch to her level on a knee to look at her. "Stay behind this barrier and don't move! I can't risk anyone getting badly injured or killed because of me, no matter how good or evil! It's crucial that you're kept alive... I'll explain later as to why, but you need to stay out of this fight!" From her pocket, she pulled out a second pistol and clicked it to life.
"They have invaded my lair! How dare you demand me of such a-" Before his ego could make him speak any further, she inched close to his face with the most threatening glare he'd ever seen on her.
"I wouldn't care even if it was your toiletry! Do what I tell you and that's final!" For once, her anger reached him, the fire in her otherwise blue eyes took his breath away for a moment and began to weigh his options. "My Barrier won't last too much longer-- so don't argue with me!" She didn't give him any time to protest when she stood up and whirled around.
In her eyes it was quick, but in Mesogog's eyes, it was as though time had slowed. Her lab coat flailed when she stood and turned to step around the barrier. Both pistols were aimed and when a barrage of Plasma shots flew across the room, most of the soldiers received noticeable holes in their bodies. Her aim may have been horrible but the spray from her pistols made up for that.
"Take cover!" The Commander nearby ducked behind one of the contraptions to shield themselves, as did the others. Metallic shields were lifted in front of the snipers before one of her pistol settings was switched to burst mode and sent a heavy blast into one of them.
It burned through their shield and punctured a hole big enough that it took up the entirety of their chest. "Man down!" The Commander shouted, whirled a finger in the air to order his men to switch to paralysis shots and they did as told.
No! Amelia quickly ran back behind her barrier and pressed her back against it, facing an awestruck Mesogog. Of course, she paid him no mind, pulled out a couple of chemical tubes, and put her pistols down to her side. "Pull Elsa over here, I don't want her taking damage from this!" Her voice raised with urgency as she ignored the paralyzing pellets hitting the barrier behind her.
Surprisingly, he did as he was told and watched him drag her to his side. Without another thought, she prepped the chemicals and soon pressed their openings together. To her feet, she swiveled around the barrier and chucked them. She had to duck behind it to quickly plug her ears and close her eyes, especially when an explosion went off and scattered the horde in a mess. Over her shoulder, she noticed a few still standing and the Commander who stood on a wounded leg.
"You crazy b-" They were about to spit out a colorful word before a plasma shot blasted their head clean off.
What remained of the soldiers, the Tyrannodrones took care of within a minute or so and finally, it was done. "Thank the lord," As soon as she slumped against the barrier, a sigh escaped, but when it disappeared it made her fall backward with a startled squeak, and had to lay there to catch her breath. "Just in time, too.~ But there's still more out in the halls, I heard them!" Panting breaths left her lips when she stood back up and adjusted her attire.
"You have some explaining to do," Mesogog's words were whispered into her ear, dangerously, but unfortunately it put her into a flustered mess to which her cheeks burned.
"I told you I- I would, anyway!" As fast as her boots could allow, she sped to the only entrance and felt around for a switch in the wall. "Where's your lock? I know you have one! They're all most likely on their way right now, so we don't have much-" She was quickly cut off when it closed on its own and clicked automatically to indicate it was locked. "Oh-- yay!" Over her shoulder, there she noticed Mesogog's claw on a button that was hidden beneath his armrest.
"Where's Zeltrax and Buzzy?" Her more stern eyes met his piercing ones when she asked from afar, before lifting her pistols to the door, prepped to fire upon the sound of their guns outside.
The next thing she knew, an invisiportal appeared in front of her, and out came Zeltrax who ran to Mesogog in a hurry along with her creature.
"Buzzy Bee, Zeltrax, stay close and defend when they come in!" Amelia didn't need to look behind her, to know he referred to the double-wide door and the flurry of lasers that were cutting through its metal.
"Lord Mesogog! Had I known they would appear, I would've stayed! Forgive me!" Dr. Ray overheard from the cyborg.
I have no choice... This situation's going to get out of hand, there are too many soldiers out there! Too many risks! I can't let Solar have his way! Suddenly, shaky breaths fell from her lips and her fingers turned paler the tighter her grip became on her pistols. Her thick gulp and nervous sweat proved her fear if the several steps she took to back up weren't anything to go by. "G- Guys... Listen to me and listen closely," This time her words were shaky, for the exhales through her nose were noticed by the others and caught their attention. She didn't look back, if she had, she would've seen Elsa sluggishly stand back up and send her a confused stare.
"I don't like showing this side of me... But Solar's pushing me into a corner and he's leaving me with no other choice. So... What you're about to see-- please..." She wanted to cry right then and there, for the fear of showing her true talent to another scientist scared her to no end. Unbeknownst to her, Zeltrax and Mesogog curiously stared at her sudden emotional state. "Erase it from your memory. Forget everything you're about to see!" She hadn't looked in their direction because her focus was on the door and knew what she had to do.
It pained her, scared her, to reveal her true talent. Her deepest secret that only the Facility knew about. Swiftly to the side, she dropped her pistols, took off her lab coat, and reached into her many pockets to pluck out a tube that had very little liquid inside. Finally, she faced them, the ruckus outside was hard to ignore when holes were being blown through. Her limbs shook and her stare was firm, despite how red they seemed from the need to cry. "Stay back... And turn around," Any tighter around the tube, it'd break into shards, but she wasted no more time and began to strip down to her undergarments.
"W- What is she doing?!" Zeltrax complained, whipped around in a flustered state, and covered his cybernetic face.
"Oh, um, well then," Elsa shielded her eyes and did the same, rather disturbed by Amelia's boldness. Mesogog, however, was reluctant to face his back to her.
Dr. Ray was seen in her red undergarments now, she wasn't aware of his curious stare, as a single tear strayed from one of her eyes. It was now or never and she had to be quick. "F- Five minutes... J- Just five minutes," Trying to reassure herself, the liquid was quickly downed and the tub was tossed aside.
As soon as it was, her body began to seize up and choke over the change that started to happen. Her glasses fell from her face after she toppled onto her side, jerking and gasping for air. She was in quite a bit of pain to care if they looked over to watch, for her body morphed into something that they had never seen before.
Laying on her back and then to her stomach, scales formed, her body thickened into sheer muscle, and raptor feet replaced her human ones as her bones changed and popped in the process. A fist smashed into the floor, leaving cracks and a heavy thud behind. Long claws on her fingers grew, sharp teeth replaced her human ones when her jaw sharpened and pulled on her lips. There a lengthy, Raptor tail grew at the top of her hips, for it flailed about and almost smacked Zeltrax had he not taken a few steps back.
( A song to present her deepest secret!)
Bright blue eyes turned into prehistoric slits. Raptor growls emitted deep from her scaly throat when she slowly rose to her full height. Her hair remained, and she still looked remotely human, but she was about six feet tall and had the face of a human and raptor hybrid blanketed by red curly hair.
To the side, her fingers punctured into the metal like butter when she used it to support her weight. The second the doors flew open, a horrific shriek erupted from her throat like that of a ravenous beast. Amelia wasn't there anymore, primal instincts took over her mind when she saw the soldiers.
"Fall back! Fall back! She transformed! Move- move- move!" Everyone who tried to barrel inside ran back out in utter fear of her.
"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh!" A piercing screech that almost resembled the cry of a Raptor, filled the room before she leaped high across the room and tackled one of the men. Their cry of pain before she ripped their head off, went ignored by her, later sprinting into the hall.
Their lasers did little to nothing when they shot her. She was like an impenetrable beast, for jumped off the side of walls, tackled more men, and ripped out their throats with her sharp teeth. Blood painted the walls, and screams of fear were unheard in her primal state, if anything it pushed her to keep going.
To another soldier, she grabbed their throat and lifted them in the air. Quickly down the hall, through the massive horde that tried to run for it, the bullets that sprayed only pierced the soldier she held before her and used them to bash into the rest of them. Her prehistoric cries sent shivers down their spines which encouraged them to retreat.
The woman was so blinded with instinct that she didn't notice Mesogog and the other two, step out of the room and watch in utter disbelief at her tireless onslaught. Limbs were severed, and blood covered the floors, ceiling, and walls, as her piercing cries were accompanied by countless gunshots.
Amelia tackled another to the ground, used her tail to snare another soldier's neck and at the same time, their heads were ripped clean from their bodies. Claws tore through armor, lacerations were made, and pain erupted from a few whom she ripped apart.
As she approached a corner, sluggish steps made light thuds in the now eerily quiet hall, it didn't help that her snarls and raptor chirps filled the area. There behind what remained of the soldiers, was none other than Solar himself and the sight of him put her into a frenzy of pent-up rage she always hid from the world. "Aaaaaah!" Through a roar, she watched Solar retreat into a portal with fear written on his face.
Her sharp teeth bared as she roared, it sent his soldiers scurrying after the portal just to have it close in their faces. "No! No! Shi-" One said. None of them had time to move, for they were pummeled by a six-foot hybrid of pure muscle.
One soldier's throat was ripped out by her teeth before she tackled the second one and tore off their hand. There she got off and picked them up by the armor, pulled a hand back with instinct in control, and jammed her hand straight into the person's chest. That was the last of them, but she had no idea, all she knew was that the heart from their chest was taken out, and its pulsation went ignored in her bloodied hand.
She stood there, hunched over, and let the heart drop to the floor the moment she smelled others nearby. Slits moved to look at three others, which her transformation refused to let her recognize, and cautious steps toward them made Elsa and Zeltrax step back.
(The song ends here! :D)
As if on cue, Mesogog's claw lifted to tell them to move as far as they could away from him, unbeknownst to her primal state of mind, she wasn't aware that he planned to subdue her and the others didn't need an order or command to know that.
The moment the dino man took a stance to brace himself, Amelia shrieked, charged after him, and leaped high off of a wall. She used it to give herself an advantage, for she tackled him hard against the floor, and made each other tumble harshly down the blood-painted hall.
Over top corpses, they wrestled, fighting for dominance. Mesogog growled irritably when she tried to claw at him, for he caught her wrists and used all of his strength to hold her back the best he could.
Rolling over, Amelia yanked him on top of her and used her tail to wrap around his neck. There he was tossed off and to a wall nearby, her bloodthirsty mind was so fixated on killing that she didn't notice him open his claws to her.
He caught her wrists again, only this time he let her tackle him and made sure to put all of his body weight onto her tail. The amount of focus in his golden eyes was evident as she tried to snap her teeth at his face, to which she paused; this confused him and a hum escaped his mouth.
Slowly, slits turned into her human vibrant blues, and recognition shone brightly in her eyes. Snarls ceased, close to his face she was, and when she realized what she had done tears strayed from her prehistoric face. Whimpers of grief caught his attention, he hardly moved when her tears tapped onto his face, only until she bolted off of him and ran away to hide.
~~~~

Mesogog was frozen in place. To see her cry above him after she finally recognized him, made him stare into space. However, what truly got him the most was her as a whole. The way she transformed, the look in her human eyes when her slits were reverting to normal, how she didn't want to hurt him despite being able to handle just about anything she'd throw at him, and everything else about her scientific mind that always piqued his interest or curiosity.

He saw her, the real her. All of who she was in that moment. Most people would think of it as a horrific or terrifying sight, but he didn't. He was so awestruck by her true beauty that he didn't notice how long he'd been there on the bloodied floor. His parted jaw proved how dazed he was, never in his life had he seen a human transform so effortlessly and revert. Her ingenious mind that just so happened to save his and his minion's lives on the spur of the moment, kept him speechless.

There he thought back to what she said, how she believed she could handle him better than Solar, and the other secret she claimed she didn't want to reveal to him that day. Everything was starting to connect and he was beginning to see the whole picture. Now he understood why she was trembling before she transformed in his Throne Room. She was afraid that this particular situation would occur.

"Lord... Mesogog?" Zeltrax's hesitant steps through a small puddle of crimson barely caught the dino man's attention.

Finally, he managed to snap out of his stupor and sit up. His gaze scanned over every corpse that lay severed and covered in crimson, the iron stench filled his nose the more he counted the number of bodies in the hall. To his feet, he ignored Elsa's throat which cleared after she covered her mouth to block out the smell.

"Here, I thought your methods were gruesome... My lord," Elsa cringed and looked away from the gory mess.

However, what she said did little to nothing to make him speak. Mesogog was too mesmerized by the display before him, only until he sprinted down the hall and leaped over corpses to search for her. He paid his minions no mind when they asked for him to wait up because he turned corner after corner to try and find her.

Her smell is still the same. Lavender but it is being mixed with the scent of blood. As he followed the trail of Lavender, it took him a good minute or so and found her curled up in the lab next to a container, which he saw Stevie crawl out of and snuggle close to her.

Her arms were around her knees, with her face buried, and her red locks concealed the sides of her face. Unfortunately, she was still in her underwear and bra but he didn't let that bother him, he was taking in the scars that he wanted to search for during his many past attempts. She was shaking like a leaf, especially her hands that clenched onto her forearms. Stevie's concerned whines did nothing to budge her, nor did the gentle pats of his paw to her bicep. Mesogog could hear her quivering breaths and faint sobs, he knew by the looks of her current state that she was scared.

"Let me guess... You're going to do the same thing as Solar did," He heard her ask behind the curtain of red curls, but he stayed silent and watched her regardless. "Let's experiment on her and find out what makes her tick. Shock her to see how much her body can handle. Force mutation to see how long it'll take for her to revert. Let's cut her open while she's transformed, to see her insides change," Through hitched breaths and tears, not once did she look to see Mesogog's face. "Slice up her limbs to see if she can regenerate... Test her mental durability and throw her into a seizure room," The more she talked, to him, if was as though she was repeating the things Ace Solar had said in the past. The dino man crouched to her level and continued to listen, as he examined each incision mark that started from her ankles to her backside, and chest.

There wasn't much space between each cut or scar on her body. So that is what she meant when she stated how no one liked her, but she still managed to get some things done. Mesogog pondered momentarily before he heard her speak again.

"You're going to do the same thing as him, aren't you? Let's pick on the freak of nature and see what results we can get... Test her limits. A guinea pig," Her words were almost whispered, for they carried pain and fear. "I was so scared that I was going to kill you. Why did you stand there? Why didn't you run? Why didn't you listen to me when I told you to stay back?" He watched her fingers clench tighter and move her folded arms against her chest so she could curl further into herself as if to ward off potential threats.

"Because I am not a coward! I was able to handle you easily! Unlike Solar, I do not need to do all of those things to find out how you work. What you showed us was self-explanatory. Your DNA is compatible with all other creatures... You drink DNA to transform into them. When you said five minutes, I assumed that was how long it would last or that was how long it would take for you to take them down. Do not just assume I would be like him!" Through a growling breath and a temperament that pushed him into wanting to grab a lock of hair in his claws, he found it difficult to so much as raise a hand to her. It was as though his body refused, nor did he question it, and lowered his limb.

Very slowly, when she peeked at him through her messy strands caked in blood, he saw how red her eyes were from crying. "You're right... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have compared you to him. That was rude," Back into her arms she buried her face with a pained and shaky sigh. "Can you please stop staring? I'm half naked here," Despite her wobbly voice, her words flustered him as he stood about as fast as anyone would, turned around, and grumbled.

"Elsa!" He called out, anger still evident in his tone as he watched the gothic woman step into the room past Zeltrax. "Retrieve her clothing and give them to her!" With a claw directed to the door, he watched her race out of the room with a quick 'Yes, my lord' and left him alone with Amelia and the Cyborg.

"I'll... Tell you everything. There's no sense in hiding it. When I'm dressed, I will," Mesogog heard her behind him but didn't move to look at her, for he placed his hands behind his back and pondered what she planned to tell him.

"Good. Make sure you don't leave out any details," Grumbling, he remembered how she refused to explain herself the several times he interrogated her. So a full explanation was the best thing he could ask for to receive his answers.
