Continued Sneak-Peek (Eddsworld)?

"So I see you finally took after him, huh?" Edd gave a course humorless chuckle to the man in the doorway. "Finally submitted and became the one thing you said you wouldn't be. How fun.." the green hooded man ended with sarcasm as he moved to lay against the cool cemented walls. His flushed face cooled from the wall and he closed his eyes. It wasn't because Edd trusted the man before him, but that he knew the pixel eyes would only look, but never touch. If there was one thing to learn about his past friend, it was that he doesn't like to get his hands dirty. Not anymore.

The man leaning against the doorway pushed himself off the frame and took two steps forward. He clasped his hands behind his back and sighed. "I did what was necessary." His voice might have been gruff, but there was a smoothness and melodious tone to it. Enchanting. Perhaps in a different universe he could be a siren. The blue coated man took a hand and brushed the nonexistent dust off his red covered sleeves, before placing both of his arms loosely at his sides. "You know, you could've joined. He wouldn't have died such a painful death and you would've been living in paradise. Of course with the price of loyalty to The Red Leader."

Edd opened his eyes to glare at the man. His mind flashed with the images of his beloved soaked with the awful crimson liquid. Himself falling to his knees in the doorway, taking the sight that could never be unseen. His beloved's jaw almost entirely shredded, hanging on by threads and small things of muscle. His love's left eye, a gaping hole with the red outlining it in twisted beauty.

In some sense, it was beautiful. Magnificent. How the blood seem to create whirlpools and twist in elegant ways, enjoying is freedom from the closed confinements. It created patterns across the carpet and once blank white walls.

As Edd remember clearly, he clamped his eyes closed. Tears threatened to create pastel waterfalls down his angular and sunken cheeks. But in front of his enemy, he would not do such a thing, not yet anyways.

The man chuckled as he saw the pain flash constantly across his old friends face. "I'll leave you to remember what you've done to....Matt? Was it?." His cruel laughter echoed around the darkly lit corridors as his combat boots resonated deeply and struck fear in the other prisoners nearby.

"Weakness is possibly our greatest strength, but it can also be our most painful downfall. Learn to harness it and you'll achieve victory against your foes."
