Chapter 4
This is where my story diverges from Millie_Astral's, sorry I made this chapter so long. ^^"
Astral woke up in an unfamiliar room. The woman he saw at the machine, was sitting on the bed next to him. He got up, his head throbbing from the memory assault he received.
"Oh good, you're awake 12." The woman said.
"Where am I?" Astral asked, looking around the room.
"You're in your room." The woman replied.
Astral made a move to get up out of the bed, but the woman pushed him gently back down.
"You need your rest 12." The woman said.
"No, I need to get to Number 96." Astral said, getting up again.
She tried to restrain Astral, but he fought back. She quickly called for the guards to restrain him. Astral could feel Dark stirring again, he hoped that Dark wouldn't take control.
"Hold him still, I'll put him in his trance." The woman told the guards.
The guards held Astral still, as the woman placed her hand on Astral's head. She began using her energy to activate the trance. But all Astral felt was pain.
Astral cried out in pain, and tried to get out of the guards grip. The woman stopped upon hearing Astral cries.
"This doesn't make any sense." The woman whispered to herself. "What's wrong with him?"
Astral's eyes were shut tight, he could still feel the pain. Dark asked Astral sleepily, "Astral... you okay?" Astral respond back mentally, "Yeah, I'm fine."
Dark went back to sleep, not realizing the chemical shifts happening to Astral. The woman injected a sensitive into Astral to put him to sleep.
"Don't let him out of his room, until I can figure out what's wrong with him." The woman said leaving.
The guards nodded and stood outside the door, preventing anyone from getting in or out.
But unknown to them, a dangerous chemical shift was happening inside Astral. A few hours passed and Astral woke up, but he didn't do anything. All he did was stare blankly at the roof. The woman came back into the room, noticing Astral awake.
"Agent 12, are you feeling alright?"
Astral didn't respond to her, he kept his gaze on the roof. The woman shook him slightly to get his attention. But Astral didn't move.
"Agent 12, answer me." She said sternly.
Astral still didn't react, she became very worried. Usually when she sternly called an agent they would reply. But Astral didn't make a sound. The guards looked at Astral worryingly, not knowing what do to.
Some of the other Agents had returned with there prisoners, locking them back in there cells before going to there rooms. They were curious as to what was going on.
They saw many people at 12's room, at first they thought he had been injured. But when they took a closer look, they saw no injuries.
Agent 12 came back with Black Mist, locking him back up. "You won't get away with this, I promise to kill you the first chance I get." Black Mist hisses as 12 walked away.
12 made his way back to his room, only to see a big commotion. He made he way to the front of the little mod, to see someone that looked exactly like him. He watched as the woman tried to get Astral's attention, but failed.
"What's going on here, and who is he?" 12 said coming into his room.
The woman looked up, surprised to see him. "Tw-Twelve?" The woman stuttered.
"What's going on here?" 12 asked again.
"Someone found him thinking he was you. We also thought he was you." The woman said, looking back at Astral.
"What's wrong with him?" 12 asked, moving closer to get a better look at him.
"We don't know, he won't talk."
Within Astral, Dark awoke sensing something off. He looked around to see if Astral was near him, he wasn't.
"What's going on here?" Dark said to himself.
Dark broke the sphere of darkness he was sleeping in to look for Astral. He found him in an empty space, staring off into the distance.
"Astral, what's wrong with you?" Dark asked, getting closer to him.
Astral didn't respond, Dark become worried. Dark walked to Astral's side, he could feel the shift imbalance.
'How did they get separated?' He thought to himself.
On the outside, 12 tried to communicate with Astral. But all his efforts failed. He put his hand on Astral head and closed his eyes, trying see if there was any thoughts going through his mind. There was nothing, Astral's mind was completely empty.
"That's odd." 12 said, opening his eyes. "There's no thoughts going through his mind."
Everyone looked at him confused.
"How are there no thoughts going through him?" 17 asked.
"I don't know, but there's one more thing I want to try." 12 said as he closed his eyes and put his hand back on Astral's head. After a moment of darkness, he could see two beings. One blue, the other black and white.
"Astral please, answer me. How did you and Dark Mist get separated?" Dark asks Astral shaking him slightly.
Astral remained silent and unfazed by Dark. 12 walked over to the dark being to ask what was wrong.
"Excuse me." 12 said getting Dark's attention. "What's wrong with your friend?"
Dark looked at 12 surprised at first, then accusing. "You did this to him, didn't you?!" Dark said, pointing a finger at him.
"No please, let me explain." 12 said, trying to calm Dark down.
"I don't know who you are, but I won't let you hurt Astral again." Dark said pushing 12 out of Astral mind.
12 gaped as he came back to reality, everyone looked at him worriedly.
"What did you see 12?" 24 asked in worry.
"There's seems to be some kind of dark being in him, he's asking how he became separated from someone know as Dark Mist." 12 replied
In a dark lonely cell, Dark Mist woke up sore and cold. His only thought was about Astral. He tried getting up, but the chains made that impossible. He tried everything he could think of to break the chains, but nothing worked. His last option was to use his chaos form.
He focused all the energy he had to use to turn into his chaos forms. The chains constricted his muscles, but soon broke when he was in his full form. The first thing he did was stretch his stiff limbs.
"Now to find a way out." He told himself.
All of the Agents felt the chaos power, and immediately left to check it out.
