Aphmau's POV

I changed into a purple crop top, blue jean short shorts, and fingerless gloves. I never told anyone but the reason why I wear this half the time is because Mom got it for me before she died. I was 18, and somehow this still fits.

I haven't let my Pokémon out in a while, might as well. It's so early only the guards will be up. And perhaps a few early birds. (Get the pun?) I thought.

I sighed walking downstairs. As expected, no one was awake. I took a quick glance at the clock. It read in dark green colors, 5:34.

(I'm making it where they have some technology, just not as much as today)

I reached the basement and looked around. I have to stay cautious if I want to keep this secret.

Once again, no one was here. Only Zoey and she was asleep in her room.

I smiled and pressed a button on the wall. It opened a human sized door to the room. I never press it because I normally wake up late so I don't want anyone seeing the room.

Walking in I felt the familiar gust of cool air. In here I have to keep it way colder than the house because, ahem, reasons.

The slight thump of the door closing sounded behind me, and I accidentally let a few tears escape my eyes.

Flashback

Aph was walking around Asgard when she came to a sudden halt. In front of her stood a huge tower.

She smiled as devious plan came to mind. She walked inside but got no farther than 5 steps when there was an almost silent sound of the door closing behind her.

Some footsteps were heard, yet she didn't want to turn around.

"What are you doing in my tower?" A male asked from behind her.

She turned around and smiled at him. He had brown hair and brown eyes. They were a few (THE PUNS!!) shades darker than hers.

He had a small beard that you could only notice if you looked closely. His armor looked like Iron Man's, but with a small twist that I just can't place my finger on.

She said, "Well, Sassmau couldn't resist the urge to prank. Now that you caught me, bye!"

Aphmau faded into the shadows, watching him look around in confusion.

Flashback End

No Aphmau, don't think about that. He's gone, there's no going back. Even if you want to, Loki will kill them, and the blame will be on me.

Once again some tears slipped from my eyes as I walked to a computer. It looked as if it stood on a boxy desk, but that was part of the computer.

Smiling, I pressed a button on the keyboard and the screen turned on.

When it went to the home screen, there stood different boxes with different pictures on them.

I opened up my grass type box and there were pictures of what we call in this world 'animals', but really, these were Pokémon.

I clicked on Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Turtwig, and Grovyle. They were my youngest grass type Pokémon so they needed to roam more.

At the bottom of the computer four Pokéballs rolled out into a basket.

I picked them up and traced along the edge.

Memories of my times with Castor and Satiel passed through my head.

Flashback

"Satiel, I'm so sorry. I really hope we can see each other again. I'll miss you." Aphmau said while tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Hey, don't cry. You're the little sister I never had, I'll make sure we see each other again." He told her.

"Promise?" She asked.

"Promise. And Castor. I'll miss you to." Satiel enveloped Castor in a bro hug.

Flashback End

He gave me his Turtwig, the first Pokémon he caught. It wasn't his starter Pokémon, but it still meant a lot to him.

I put a sash made just for holding Pokéballs on. I clipped each of them on carefully and picked up my hat.

I haven't worn this in so long. It's been 4 years. I adventured with Satiel and Castor for 5 years. Best Friends Forever.

Flashback

Aphmau bounded down the stairs of her home. Her hair fluttered around her face, despite it being held in a ponytail. It was the third day of her journey, and she'd just captured the night before a Seel.

"Mommy!!! Mommy!! When are Castor and Satiel coming!?!" She asked.

"Sweetie, they'll be here in a couple minutes." Her mother replied from cooking breakfast.

"Aww. I wanna show them my new Seel."

"You'll be able to if you're patient. Sometimes patience will unlock the greatest things in life."

In a few minutes the doorbell rang. Aphmau basically jumped off her seat to answer it. She raced to open it. Since she was so small she had to stand on her toes to reach the handle.

Time Skip

The three children sat on the rug.

"Look what I caught!!" Aph exclaimed. She picked up a Pokéball and pressed the button. A white Seel came out, it's glossy skin glittering in the light.

"Cool!" Castor said, looking over the white pelt and black eyes of the Seel.

"Yeah! And guess what I got for the three of us?" Satiel asked the younger children, a spark in his eyes that was constantly there, and no one could get rid of it.

"What is it?" Replied Aphmau, her eyes shining with curiosity.

"Here. I have one for myself, and Castor already knows what it is." He smiled at the fascination on Aph's face.

Aphmau opened the small box. Inside there lied a hat. It had a pink brim and the hat itself was grey, merging together a tad bit.

"I love it!" She whispered.

"I knew you would, it is your favorite color, sorta," Satiel responded.

"But why'd you get it for me? You could've gotten something much better with the money."

"We're best friends, we always will be."

Flashback End

"I miss you Satiel. I wish I didn't leave."
