11 -- Where Are They?

[APHMAU]

Zoey interrupted our little reunion, asking us a question I hoped she wouldn't, yet knew she would. "Lady Aphmau, who is this, and how do you him?"

"Zoey, I have a lot to explain to you two, but Zoey, I need to explain to you more. You can't tell anybody what I'm about to tell you."

She looked at me hesitantly before nodding her head, shifting her gaze from me to Sky, to Dragon (somehow, she's the author so don't question it), back to me. "Okay," she told me. "I swear on my immortality that I won't tell anybody unless they already know."

I sighed and motioned for Sky to sit down, and he did, except he pulled me down with him and made me sit on his lap. ~IN A BROTHERLY WAY, IDIOTS (not all of you, I'm sure most of you are really smart~

Zoey chuckled a little and sat down on a conveinetly ~Spelling?~ placed chair.

"So?" She asked, tilting her head to the side slightly. "Who's this?"

"I'm Adam," he said, disincluding his last and middle names for well-known reasons in our group. "but please call me Sky. That's my nickname, and the name I like best."

Zoey nodded her head. "I'm Zoey, a Yggdrasil Elf. I'm the caretaker of Aphmau's two sons." Sky looked at me so I mouthed the words 'adopted' so he barely nodded his head. Of course, that was after he pushed me off his lap and onto the bed playfully. "I'm also very talented in magicks, so don't even try to hurt Lord Aphmau or her sons."

Sky interrupted her. "Don't worry, I wouldn't even let anyone I don't know or trust lay a finger on her."

Zoey nodded her head and smiled at him. "Thank you. Aph, care to explain how you know him?"

"Well, do you know how I said I don't know or remember my past?"

Zoey nodded her head.

"That's a lie. I haven't lied about anything else, just that, because it's to dangerous if to many people know my past.

"Don't worry, I know how that feels."

I smiled at her, feeling like a small weight just got lifted off my shoulders. "I had three brothers and two sisters. Latro and Claire were my two sisters and Jin, Oliver, and Jaxton were my brothers. We were born in a place that I can't mention, but let's just say that Sky and the group we were in have been my friends ever since we were only a few months old.

"When we were really little, Latro and Jaxton weren't even born yet, our homes were taken over by Shadow Souls and Shadow Knights."

Zoey suddenly realized why I was so protective over my friends when those two creatures were around, more protective then a regular person or magicks user.

"My siblings and The Crew, what we call our group, fled and escaped from there. I'm pretty sure I was only four or five then.

"We adventured very far, coming across a lot of interesting people and places. We stayed there for years at a time, yet had to leave because they started figuring out, and the more they figure out and the more that figure out the more they become in danger.

We left pretty much everyone, the two little ones being born somewhere in between." Although I knew what worlds they were born in I wasn't about to tell her, I can't tell her that much. Every single word puts her life on the line even more, no matter how important it seems.

"One day, when we were exploring yet again, the Shadow Souls and Knights found us and we were seperated. A week after that, I found Pheonix Drop and, well, you know the rest."

Zoey nodded and leaned back in her chair, the thoughtful look on her face making her look like a psychiatrist after you told them your whole life story. Except replace the psychiatrist with your best friend/babysitter and you got it!

"Wow," was all she could say, and even then it came out as a whisper.

"Yup!" Sky said, finally joining in the conversation. "Pretty crazy ride, but hey, at least we survived, right?"

I smiled and chuckled. "Yeah. With Ross's whining and Jin's technology stuff, it was tough."

Zoey sighed. "I better go get breakfast ready. Aphmau, can you go wake the boys? I'm sure Sky can help you, and be introduced to the boys at the same time."

I nodded while Sky just smiled a goofy grin. I watched as Zoey walked over before turning serious and looking at Sky.

"Sky?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you know where they are?" I asked him, tears building in my eyes.

"I don't know if they're still there, but I do know where they were. Don't worry, Aphie, they're fine! I made sure they weren't hurt before I distracted the bandits away from the group. I made sure they thought I was going to check the boundaries before I went and fought."

I sniffed and hugged him one more time before grabbing his hand and pulling him out the door like I used to do when I was little and excited.

I dragged him upstairs until we reached the boys' room and let go of his hand. I opened the door and walked inside. The lights were off but there was a lamp on a table next to the door which dimly lit up the room.

Sky walked up to me and asked, "So, you adopted two little boys?"

I nodded. "Malichi's the oldest and used to be a ghost, until an experiment exploded and brought him back to life. He would be as old as Mom, maybe even older."

Sky snickered a little. "So your son is around a thousand years older than you?"

I nodded my head yet again. If you're wondering why he said one-thousand and not a billion kagillion or something is because immortals age extremely slowly, and stop aging once they reach adulthood. Immortals have a jumpstart age to five or six, and then around every twenty years they only age one year.

For example, I would be dead if I was mortal, but instead I have the looks and height of a twenty year old.

Enough of that.

I walked over to Malichi's bed and gently shook him awake. "Malichi, wake up. Zoey's making pancakes," I told him softly.

He just fluttered his eyes open and looked at me. "I'm tired," he whispered.

"I know, but you'll wake up more when you start moving around. Come on, you have to meet my friend, he's over there."

Malichi sat up and looked over at Sky, who smiled and walked over to Malichi.

"I'll leave you two to talk, I'll wake Levin up and bring him downstairs."

Sky looked at me with knowing eyes before turning back to Malichi and the two started talking about...whatever they were talking about. I don't really know but knowing Sky it was most likely random things that come to his mind.

I sighed and woke Levin up, who was way more energetic than Malachi. I picked him up and walked downstairs, him giggling and talking about things little boys talk about.

I smiled and sat him down on a chair, joining in his conversation.

Word Count : 1225

So, now you know why she isn't dead and why she's so short. By the way, Latro and Jax are my two OCs, and I'm gonna add Arielle's, Wolfilyn's, Juppy's, and a few others OCs who will not be mentioned as of now.

I'm sorry these chapters have been so short and delayed, it's just technical difficulties and other things. If you've read my A/Ns you know what I'm talking about.

Thank you for understanding and not going all "Why are you so late?"

"Hurry up and post!"

Blah, blah, blabbity, blah blah.

Anyhow, this is just the first of an exciting next few chapters and possibly the end of book one after around seven or eight more. Don't worry, I'm now positive there's going to at least be four books. I know there's only been eleven chapters but I made them as long as possible, most of them being over or near 2000 words.

:) Bai!
