Chapter Two: The Scare

Alyssa's POV

I opened the Bounty door, scanning my surroundings, "Nya? Sensei!" I shouted, running through the hallways, opening all the doors and entering all the rooms. No one, not even a sign. I sighed in exasperation and entered Sensei Wu's meditation room, searching for anything to help me. I don't know who took my friends, but I needed to find them.

I noticed a picture hanging on the wall closest to the door, I stepped over, running my hand over the glass. It was the most recent photo taken, the mail man had taken it for us. I was standing next to Kai with his arm draped over my shoulder, Cole stood to my other side, leaning on Emma. Emma was on Lloyd's back, a laugh escaping her mouth. Zane stood still next to her with Jay standing next to him. He was holding Nya's hand, all smiling. Misako, Sensei Wu and Garmadon stood behind us all, their shoulders on our backs. I smiled, feeling like this was just minutes ago, but it wasn't.

I choked a small sob, pursing my lips together as tears streamed down my face. I placed my hands on my head, pushing up my hair. I leaned against the wall, sliding down with my knees to my chest. I placed my elbows on my knees and looked up at the ceiling, "Why?! Damn destiny!" I cursed, screaming into my hands.

I just wanted my brother, my sister, and my friends. My parents were here, the people were here, but without Ninjago's protectors, I fear the worst. I haven't been trained fully, I can't defend Ninjago, it needs its ninja back. Ninjago needs the kunoichi. But I don't even know where they are, let alone how to get them back.

I wiped my tears, walking to the other wall in the meditation room, I grabbed Emma's bow off of the hook and held it in my hands. "I'll find you, I promise." I said, placing it back in its original place.

I sat down on the floor in front of Sensei's spirit smoke. I crossed my legs and closed my eyes, exhaling deeply. All I need to know is where the ninja are, then I can worry about finding them. Hopefully, I can use this old man, tea drinking fire thing, I keep my promises.

No One's POV/ Third Person

Nya walked around, drenched in sweat with Zane and Misako, they had all been corrupted and transported to another dimension. But not just any dimension, they had been put in Atsiu Sabaku, it's Japanese for "hot desert". The three walked around, trying to find any signs of humanity or life, the sand seemed to go on forever, their feet sinking into the sand at every step.

Nya groaned and wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead, "We've been walking nowhere, I miss my brother." she sighed. Zane nodded and stopped, letting the others catch up and take a break, "Misako, where are the others?" he questioned.

"I'm not certain, but we do need to find them soon. Perhaps they aren't in this dimension with us, but another." she pondered, "If I'm correct, the desert grows cold at night, which I can handle, but you two cannot. We must find shelter." Zane directed, pointing to nearby, smaller buildings.

There was a small village up ahead, and two more spread far from each other. In total, there were three villages, but some of the citizens weren't excited about having newcomers. Let's just say, the three would be on their own a while.

Lloyd collapsed on the sand, spreading his arms and legs out in exasperation. "Emma!" Cole shouted, walking around the sand. "Cole, she's gone!" Lloyd snapped, turning over onto his elbows, "I know just as well as you do that we are alone!" he continued.

Cole sighed and dropped onto his bottom, falling over into the sand, "I just miss my sister." he admitted, "Not to mention we have no idea where the others are and it's just us two."

"We'll find her, and everyone." Lloyd proudly told him, standing to his feet, "We are the only two here, which means everyone else is out there!" he yelled out, pointing to the endless sea. "We clearly aren't in Ninjago, so we've got to think of something! We're ninja, not quitters! I love Emma too, and I don't back down."

There is multiple villages surrounding the island. The land they were on is a beach, with a large jungle planted in the center. Little did they know, there are other people with them, and they don't think there is enough space on the island for two more. This is, Shui gong, Chinese for "water palace".

Sensei Garmadon peered out into the land and sighed, "We must find the others." Kai planned out, slumping against a wall of ice. "We need to look ahead. This land will freeze us if we don't find shelter. Perhaps there is a village around." Garmadon replied, standing to his feet.

"Don't you get it? We're trapped here! My sister is gone! My friends are gone!" Kai argued, kicking a slab of ice. "And my wife, son and brother are missing too! But we need to focus on our suvival, before we discover the other mysteries of our friends."

"Yes, Sensei." Kai sighed. The two continued walking, being careful not to step on the thin ice to fall through. It's ironic, the fire ninja trapped in the cold, and the ice ninja trapped in the hot desert. "I suppose we're on seperate dimensions." Sensei Garmadon wondered. "If so, we are on 'Lu bing', meaning 'ice land' in Chinese."

Jay looked over the edge, "Man, out of all days..." Jay complained. "We must not lose focus, we must focus on finding our friends." Sensei Wu replied.

"Sensei, my girlfriend and brothers are missing! We're not even in Ninjago!" he shouted, moving away from the edge of the mountain of rock. "Yes, but perhaps there is someone that can assist us in our search. And possibly explain to us where we are." Sensei Wu shrugged.

He was sadly out of tea. Actually, all the ninja's weapons had gone missing. Including the Sensei's staffs and tea pots. It was up to them all to create their own weapons and survive.

"Perhaps I can answer your questions." Someone spoke from behind. The two turned to see an older man, leaning on a brown cane. He had a long grey beard and looked at the two with a wrinkled face. "I am a villager, please follow me." he welcomed, walking uphill. Having nothing to lose, Sensei Wu and Jay followed the man, being very cautious. "We are on Iwayama, meaning "mountain of rock" in Japanese, our native language. Where do you come from, outsiders?"

Emma turned around in a circle, taking in all her surroundings. But she couldn't see a thing, nothing. Everything was dark, there were no stars in the sky, not even a moon. She sighed, feeling the rain hit her skin, pouring down her hair. She pulled up her hood, keeping the cloak over her so she doesn't get soaked.

Emma couldn't see a thing, the grass tickled her feet and she saw the faint outlines of trees ahead of her. As she focused on the dark more, she could see a bit more, even without seeing anything. It was like being blind, but being able to 'see' because of the sound.

Emma stepped forwards, being cautious of the new surroundings, "Where am I?" she mumbled, knowing she was alone. Her surroundings became abundantly clear. She couldn't see anything without light, but she can see outlines and images so she knew where she was going.

Emma noticed this was a rain forest, constant rain and overhead trees. She walked through the new environment, hoping the sun would be out soon so she could see more clearly.

Emma pushed through many trees and leaves, finding herself standing in front of a large opening in the forest. There were small, wooden buildings built up in the trees they were everywhere, but no lights. She shrugged and continued walking, trying to discover the secrets this place holds. But she was mainly focused on where her family and friends were. She has arrived at Kurayami.
