Dusk groaned as he regained consciousness from the nightmare. His eyes slowly fluttered open as he tried to take in his surroundings. Lightning slowly opened her eyes groggily to see the forest back to its normal state as she was free from the nightmare and her stone prison. Dusk turned his head towards Lightning as she came into focus.

"Lightning," he called out to her.

"Dusk?! Dusk!" She yelled as she heard him call out to her. She turned her head to see him once again.

"Ack! Not too loud! I'm right here," Dusk cried as he winced at her booming voice.

"Sorry..." Lightning apologized. "Where's the others?" She asked lowering her voice down. Dusk was about to open his mouth when they hear groans coming from beside them.

"Huh... What was that?' Lightning asked as she began to hear murmuring from beside them.

"Can you guys keep it down" Chase whined.

"Yeah, we're trying to sleep" Sparks replied.

"What's going on?" Electra asked.

"Heh, nice to see you all too," Dusk replied with a smile.

"Wait... Where's Amethyst and Phoenix" Lightning asked.

Dusk's eyes darted around the Pikachus in search for the Espeon and Fletchling. "That is a good question. They were with us weren't they?" he asked Lightning.

'Yeah, they were' She answered.

Soon enough, Sparks heard purring behind him.

"Huh," he uttered as he turned around to see a bush. Curiously he peaked into it to find the source of the sound. What he saw surprised him. He saw a certain Espeon and Fletchling. "I found them!" he called out.

Everyone's ears perked upon hearing Sparks. They soon approached him to the bush as they found the two still sleeping. "She sure does sleep peacefully," Chase commented. Receiving strange glances from Sparks and Electra.

"What," Chase said, confused of the expressions he received.

Lightning began to shake Amethyst awake. "Wake up, Amethyst" she said. She did the same to Phoenix.

"How did you get all the way over here? Were you sleepwalking?" Lightning asked.

"L-Lightning?" Amethyst said as she stretched her legs. "I don't know. I thought this was where we were sleeping at first."

"You weren't with us in the tree that Phoenix found last night for us to sleep in this morning when we all woke up" Lightning answered.

"Oh I see," Amethyst replied as she got up to her feet. " I guess I may have, I don't remember. I had a horrible nightmare of what happened several months ago."

"Us too" they all replied at the same time.

"So we were all in the same nightmare? That's odd?" Amethyst pondered as her expression changed.

"Yeah, it is" Lightning replied until she realized about what she said in the nightmare. "It must have been Darkrai" she thought to herself out loud. Everyone aside Lightning and Amethyst gasped.

"Darkrai?!" They cried.

"Yes it seems like the most logical answer" Amethyst replied.

"He is the master of nightmares" Lightning replied.

"I've heard stories about him," Dusk said.  "It is said he has the ability to curse any Pokémon into an eternal nightmare."

"Yeah, and apparently make Pokémon have the same nightmares" Lightning replied.

"Eternal, then how did we escape it" Amethyst asked confused.

"I don't know Amethyst," Dusk answered, "i guess we could consider ourselves lucky."

"I'll say," said Sparks.

"Me too," Electra chimed in, "i don't think i could bare being a statue for eternity.  Nightmare or not!!"

"Me too, Electra" Lightning protested.

"So now what should we do?" Chase asked.

"Hm... I don't know" Lightning said.

Meanwhile, Inferno, Abrafo, Sigmund and Darkrai were at Mewtwo's cave once again ready to battle him for the third time.

"Ok are all of you ready," Inferno asked.  A nod was received from Abrafo and Sigmund.  "What about our friend Sigmund?" 

"He should be perfectly fine.  Isn't that right Darkrai" Sigmund asked smugly.

"Yes master" he replied.

"Excellent.  Now let's get going" inferno said as he entered the cave. The others followed him. As Mewtwo scented their arrival once again. "You've returned for more?" He asked surprised.

"Yes we are back," Inferno grinned "and you are coming with us this time."

"Ha, try me" Mewtwo laughed.

"Sigmund!  Bring in our secret weapon," Inferno cried.

"Yes sir. Come in Darkrai" Sigmund called.

"Yes master" Darkrai answered as he entered the cave.

"Darkrai?  You are aiding these worthless Pokémon," Mewtwo said. he was surprised but tried his best to hide it.

"These Pokémon are my bosses, and I have to obey them like they want me too. I am here to help them defeat you and accomplish their wish of controlling you, isn't that right, master?" Darkrai exclaimed.

"Right you are Darkrai," Sigmund answered.

Darkrai grinned. "Are you ready Darkrai?" Sigmund asked.

"Yes Master," Darkrai replied as he prepared to fight Mewtwo.

Let's go" Sigmund cried out as Darkrai began  to use shadow ball at Mewtwo.
He swiftly dodged the attack and used aura sphere but Darkrai countered it with shadow ball and used dark void.

Mewtwo easily dodged the dark void and tried using aura sphere once more on Darkrai but he dodged the attack and used dark void once more.

Mewtwo attempted to dodge once more but was hit with the attack. Mewtwo was sound asleep as Sigmund began to use hypnosis to attempt to control him. Inferno grinned as Sigmund was hard at work.  soon they will have 2 legendary Pokémon under their control.

Darkrai kept hitting Mewtwo with shadow balls to make him weaker and easier for Sigmund to control Mewtwo who struggled to wake up and fight the hypnosis penetrating his mind.

Darkrai continued using shadow ball on Mewtwo as Sigmund was one step closer of controlling Mewtwo at last. He continued to struggle against the nightmare he was trapped in.

A few minutes later, Mewtwo was finally weakened enough to be controlled. Sigmund used his hypnosis one last time on Mewtwo's mind hoping to finally control him. Mewtwo's mind began to be fully controlled by Sigmund. He was now in control.

Sigmund grinned.  "he is in our control now Inferno."

"Yes, we have finally accomplished!!" He yelled.

"Now for the next part of my plan. Distracting those meddling kids and keep them from interfering my plans of conquering the world"

"Let's get going," Sigmund commanded the legendaries.

"yes master," both Darkrai and Mewtwo replied.

At the Pikachu Village, Inferno, Abrafo and Sigmund sneaked around looking for a Pokémon that Lightning and Dusk care so much about to distract them.

Many of the villagers were busy with their normal errands keeping the village striving.  Inferno continued scouting the village for a potential target. He  gained sighting of a tiny little Pichu sleeping in the shade.

"Ah hah, now Lightning and Dusk probably care about this youngster dearly" Inferno grinned. "Darkrai, I found the perfect target over here" Inferno whispered.

Darkrai takes sight of the small Pichu.  "what is your bidding master" he asked.

"Trap this rodent in a nightmare" Inferno commanded.

"As you wish," Darkrai responded as he used dark void on the Pichu enveloping her in darkness. Then he used nightmare on the little youngster as she was stuck in an eternal nightmare. She began to squeal with fright as the echo was heard across the forest.

Thunder spotted them. "Hey, what are you doing here. I didn't invite you into the village!! Get out!!" He yelled running towards them.

Inferno grinned as thunder approached them.  "Mewtwo, take care of this pest"

"Yes master" he replied as he used aura sphere on him weakening Thunder before his villagers. As they stopped what they were doing and gasped in surprise.

"What should we do to him, master. Should we take him with us?" Mewtwo asked.

Inferno pondered, at the thought and grinned as an idea of turning the village against Lightning and Dusk came to mind.  "yes.  take him.  take them all."

"Yes master" Mewtwo responded as the Pikachus including Thunder were forced to go with them, but Sparkle was left there. She continued to toss and turn in her sleep as her cries echoed through the empty village. The frightened squeals were heard by Lightning, Dusk and their friends. "What was that? Wait... that sounded like Sparkle we got to go" Lightning responded worriedly.

Everyone dashes through the forest towards Sparkle's cries to help. When they made it, What they saw shocked them. The village was empty. There was only Sparkle left who was sleeping. "What happened here. Where is everyone?" Lightning asked.

"It's like a ghost town here," Dusk uttered lowly.  "Hello?  is anyone here?"

Silence was the only answer received.

"This is beyond creepy," Electra said fearfully.

"Definitely," Chase said.  "where do you think everyone went?

"I don't know" Lightning replied. "Something must have happened to everyone. Something bad." Lightning heard sequels of fright as she spotted Sparkle tossing and turning in her sleep as she squealed in fright.

"Sparkle!!!" Lightning yelled running towards Sparkle as she nudged her. She never even opened an eye. "S-she's... no... Sparkle!!! She's stuck in Darkrai's nightmare" Lightning stuttered as she began to cry.

"This technically is a real-life nightmare here too, the village has never been this quiet or empty" Sparks responded worriedly.

"*sniff* yeah, but Sparkle, how do we wake her up?" Lightning asked sullenly.

"Maybe if we find Darkrai and stop him we'll be able to free her," Electra answered.

"But how are we going to find Darkrai at this time. We should look for Cresselia instead, maybe she could do something" Lightning responded.

"But where do we even start looking for her?" Amethyst asked.

"I don't know, but we have to or Sparkle will be stuck in her nightmare forever" Lightning answered.

"Rumor has it that Cresselia only appears to those who are in dire need of her power,* Dusk said.

"Well we need her now, but why hasn't she appeared?" Lightning asked. There was silence between them.

"Lightning does have a point there. Sparkle is in desperate need for Cresselia's help right now" Amethyst answered.

"These are just stories I've heard!! I've never met Cresselia with my own eyes to tell if its true," Dusk responded in defense.

Huh... I hope its true" Lighting sighed looking at Sparkle with a worried glance.

Dusk placed a paw on Lightning's shoulder.  "we'll save her soon, Lightning, don't worry."

"Thanks Dusk" she smiled at him.

Dusk smiled back at her.  "You're welcome Lightning."

"So, what is the plan to find Cresselia?" Chase asked curiously.

"Well, we need to know where to look first." Amethyst pointed out.  "Any ideas where to go Dusk?"

"Not exactly," Dusk answered.  "I'm surprised that Darkrai is even in this region to begin with." He thought to himself.

"Well Darkrai and Cresselia aren't originally from this region, so I don't really know any places we could go that I could think of" Lightning responded.

"Me neither," Dusk answered as Sparkle whined again in her sleep.  Amethyst is there a way you could ease sparkle from her nightmares?

"Hm... I don't know if I can" Amethyst answered.

"Can you please try," Electra asked her.

"Fine" she said as she began to use psychic and began to shaking Sparkle, but she was still stuck in her nightmares. Everyone watches as she attempts to help Sparkle. She stopped shaking Sparkle as she knew it wasn't working.

"It isn't working, I'm sorry" Amethyst sighed as she gently set Sparkle down on the ground.

"Huh..." everyone sighed. "She at least tried" Electra said.

Dusk goes to pick Sparkle up.  "let's at least take her to a safer place out of sight." he said as he walked over toward a small hole under a tree.

"So any clues left of what happened to the others?" Lightning asked.

"There isn't much from what i see," Chase said.

"Maybe we can find them from the sky." Amethyst said as she turned to the Fletchling perched on her back.  "Phoenix can y-" "yeah yeah I'm on it." Phoenix interrupted her as he flew up above the trees. He looked around from the sky as he saw some pieces of berries on the ground making a path across the forest leading to somewhere.

"What do we have here?" He thought to himself out loud as he took a piece off the ground and held it in his beak. Then he turned back to show everyone the evidence he found.

The group of friends sat near sparkle watching her as she continued to toss and turn. Phoenix landed on the ground beside them and dropped the piece of berry on the ground.

"This is no time for a little snack, Phoenix" Amethyst growled.

"It's not a snack! At least not yet," Phoenix replied receiving a glare from the Espeon.  "I found several other berries like these lined up like a path.  It might be our clue to finding the others".

"Great find, Phoenix" Lightning replied. "Lead the way to the path."

"On it!" Phoenix cried as he flies through the forest as Everyone followed him. Soon enough they reach the trail of berries.

"Hm.... If we follow this path, it'll lead us straight to the Pikachus and possibly the criminal" Lightning replied.

"I hope so.  let's go everyone" Dusk said as he ran through the forest following the path. Everyone else followed him.

Unbeknownst to them, Inferno and his crew were entering a cave outside of the forest. Inferno grinned as Darkrai and Mewtwo forced all of the Pikachus inside.

"Where are you taking us?" Thunder's assistant, Zach asked.

Inferno didn't answer as they continued into the cave.

The Pichu at the end of the line named Piwi kept dropping pieces of his last Oran berry to help Lightning, Dusk and the others to find their way there.

Inferno points to a corner of the cave "take them over there."

Darkrai and Mewtwo pushed the Pikachus and Thunder to the corner of the cave.

"What do you plan on doing with us!" Thunder yelled angrily.

"Oh, you'll figure it out, eventually" Inferno replied as a call of a huge bird echoed through the cave and Zapdos appeared.

"W-what was that?" Zach asked.

"Your encounter" Inferno replied.

Zapdos stared down at the Pikachu as most of them tremble in fear.

"Encounter?! What do you mean by that? We have to fight this... thing!!!" Zach responded.

Inferno grins.

"We are not doing that" Thunder replied.

Inferno laughs. "You have no choice."

"What are you going to do if we say no?" Zach asked.

"Darkrai if you will," Inferno commanded.

"As you wish," Darkrai said as he used dark void on Zach. He fell fast asleep as he fell to the ground, snoring.

"Anyone else?" Inferno asked.

"Zach!" Thunder cried as he knees beside him. No other Pikachus resist.

"Fine, we will do what you want" Thunder sighed. Inferno grins, he has the Pikachus at his mercy.

"Good. Attack!!!" He yelled.

All the Pikachus charge at the lightning bird. Thunder used a thunder attack as the Pikachus used thunderbolt.

All the attacks hit their mark on Zapdos, but were all ineffective.

"Why do you want the Pikachus to attack instead of a ground type or any of us at that matter?" Sigmund asked.

"I don't want to take it down or control it, I want Zapdos to be angry enough to start a thunder storm around the forest" Inferno replied.

Zapdos begins to get angered with the Pikachus' attacks. Thunder used iron tail as the Pikachus did the same. Zapdos lets out a screech as it uses roar to push all of the Pikachus away.

"It's working but not enough" Sigmund said.

The Pikachus got back up and used iron tail once again. Zapdos unleashes discharge on the Pikachus. They were taken back from Zapdos once again but Thunder wouldn't give up on Zach so they continued attacking Zapdos. Thunder and the Pikachus used electro ball.

The electro balls pummel Zapdos like a machine gun, but Zapdos holds his ground. Thunder and the Pikachus began to use iron tail once again. Zapdos uses discharge on the Pikachus again and screeches in rage.

Thunder and his Pikachus used iron tail one more time. Zapdos fires a powerful beam of thunderbolt upon Thunder. It was a critical hit but it was not very effective.  They used iron tail once more as Inferno hopes that it would make Zapdos angry enough to cause a storm.

"This is taking too long" Inferno thought.

Thunder was enraged as he hit Zapdos across the face with a hard iron tail as the Pikachus did the same. The iron tail left a small cut beside his beak, that was the last straw for the legendary bird as it lunged at the mice Pokémon. The Pikachus were thrown to the cave walls while Zapdos flew out of the cave enraged as it had finally cast a thunder storm above the forest.

Lightning, Dusk and their friends were on top of a hill when they saw the storm clouds heading towards them.

"What is that?!" Lightning gasped.

"They look like storm clouds" Sparks said.

"But it was clear as day out here!  where did these come from?" Electra cried.

"I don't know, but it doesn't seem like normal storm clouds" Lightning replied.

"We should get moving," Dusk said as he continued following the berry path.

Suddenly, a lightning bolt struck and it was heading towards Dusk. "Dusk, watch out!!!!" Lightning yelled as she pushed Dusk out of the way and was struck by lightning instead. "Ahhh!!!" She screamed in agony as she fell to the ground extremely weakened by the blow.

"Lightning!!" Dusk cried as he approached her.  When he was close to touching her he received a painful shock from the overcharge she received.

"Eh... Dusk" Lightning said weakly.

"Ow that was painful" dusk cried.  "Lightning are you ok?!?"

"I-I think I'm okay" she responded as she tried to get up but fell to the ground again. "But I-I feel weak."

Electra and Sparks move in to help Lightning to her feet. They both receive a charge from Lightning as they grab her. "T-thanks guys" she stutters.

Sparks and Electra look at Lightning, worried expressions etched on their faces.

"What's with the long faces guys. I-I'm fine" she stuttered receiving a tiny shock from her cheek.

" I don't know Lightning," Electra replied.  "Something about you feels off after that blow you took."

"W-what do you mean?" Lightning asked.

"I felt it too," Sparks said.  "You felt a bit overcharged for a moment."

"Overcharged, don't be ridiculous" Lightning said.

Sparks and Electra glance at each other from that comment.

"Come on I-I'm fine. Really, I am. Now stop focusing on me and we got to focus on finding the other Pikachus and finding a way to wake up Sparkle" Lightning exclaimed. "C-come on let's go." They all nod at that statement as they continued to run through the forest.

As for Inferno and his crew, they had found a way to get away from the raging Zapdos and were resting in the lair with the Pikachu villagers tied up in vines. Most of them struggled against their bindings and Thunder glared at Inferno.

"You better release us now!!!" Thunder yelled. "We did your bidding now it's time for you to set us free!!"

Inferno laughed.  "Oh don't you worry, I will set you and your villagers free soon."

"Really?! There's no price for it is there?" Thunder asked.

Inferno stared at the aged Raichu  with a grin.  "There is a small cache."

"What is it?!" Thunder asked barring his teeth in anger.

"Your will," Inferno cackled. "Darkrai! Send these Pokémon into everlasting slumber."

"Yes master" Darkrai used dark void on all the Pikachus as they all fell asleep. Thunder tried to stay awake as he began to get drowsy and soon enough began snoring.

Inferno grinned.  "Ok Sigmund, take control of them."

"Yes sir" Sigmund replied as he used hypnosis on all the Pikachus as their minds slowly went to hibernation and soon enough they were in Sigmund's control. With their eyes dulled and their minds blank, they stood still awaiting orders from Inferno.

"Untie them" Inferno ordered his crew.

They moved in to release the Pikachus now under Inferno's command. They were all free from their vines as they stood there waiting for an order from Inferno.

"We must make you strong enough to fight better so go train the best you can" Inferno ordered. The Pikachus nod as they begin to train amongst each other, including Thunder himself.

"Thunder, you are the strongest of them all, right?" Inferno asked him.

"Yes master," said Thunder, "i watch over the well being of these Pokémon"

"Hm... Then would you mind fighting Lightning for me if they come here?" Inferno asked with a grin.

Thunder grinned.  "I will be happy to serve you master."

"Great" Inferno grinned.

With the village under his control and Zapdos creating chaos in the forest, inferno plans his next step for world domination.

"My plan is almost complete, soon I will have the world on my shoulder" Inferno laughed.

Lightning still felt weak like something was wrong with her, but she didn't want anyone to start panicking, so she kept it in her mind as a secret. Dusk watch Lightning's face closely.  It showed a mix of emotions, most of them not necessarily cheerful. Lightning turned her gaze to Dusk. "What is it?" She asked.

Her voice snapped Dusk back to reality "huh?  Oh nothing lightning, I'm just...worried..."

"Worried about what?" She asked.

"You honestly.  I'm hoping that blast didn't effect you in anyway..." Dusk said worried.

"Dusk, I'm fine t-trust me" she lied.

Dusk stared at her unconvinced.  He knew she was lying but decided to dismiss it.  "Ok Lightning, if you say so." He said. They continued walking as Phoenix picked the berries up and ate them one by one. Amethyst picked up on his actions and inwardly rolled her eyes. The berries led outside of the forest and to a cave as they entered the cave.

"The berry trail stops here but where are they?" Phoenix asked.

"They must be further inside," Chase said.

"I don't know Chase. I don't think they're back there" Lightning responded.

"Why else would the trail just abruptly stop here then?"  Chase argued.

"He has a point," Dusk added.

"But we don't even know what's back there. It could be some wild beastly Pokémon" Lightning exclaimed.

"But what if the villagers are in there being tortured by it!?!?" Electra cried.

"If they were we'd be hearing them screaming and hollering for mercy" Lightning answered.

"Well I'm going to see what I can find in there" Chase said curiously as he walked deeper in the forest.

"Hey wait up Chase," Sparks said as he followed him.

"Guys wait!!!" Lightning shouted, her voice echoed through the cave walls.

"Let's follow them before they get lost..." Dusk said.

"Alright..." Lightning sighed following the others deeper into the dark cave. Drips of water echoed throughout the cave as they traversed through the tunnels.

"I'm hoping there are more clues deeper in the cave" Chase said.

"I hope there's more berry trails" Phoenix replied.

"Why is that? So you could stuff your mouth full of berries" Amethyst said as she shook her head at the Fletchling.

"Yes" Phoenix grinned.

Amethyst rolled her eyes once more. They continued walking to the back of the cave.

"I still don't see anything in here" Chase said.

"Yeah, can we go now. We'll try another route" Lightning said.

Dusk's ears perk up. "Wait. What was that?" He uttered.

"What?!" Lightning said, ears perked up in attention. There are faint sounds of electricity heard down from the cave.

"What is that?!" Lightning yelled in surprise.

"I don't know," said Dusk, "but let's find out."

"Y-yeah" Lightning stuttered.

"Let's go everyone," Chase said as he darted toward the source. Everyone followed Chase. They continued into the back of the cave and They followed the source of the sound they heard.

Dusk cane into view of the end of the cave and gasps.  "No...it can't be..."

Everyone gasped as they saw the Pikachus fighting each other, training.

"What is going on here?!" Lightning gasped in horror and shock.

"Are they... fighting...?" Electra asked.

"Yeah... but why? Wait... look at their eyes" Lightning realized that their eyes looked different. Everyone takes a look at their eyes, all dulled and emotionless.

"They're not acting like themselves at all" Chase said.

"That's because they're being controlled" Lightning replied.

"What!?" How can you tell!?" Sparks asked.

"Their eyes, they don't look normal" Lightning answered.

"How should we go about freeing them," Amethyst pondered.

"We need to find Sigmund" Lightning replied.

"I don't see him anywhere" Dusk said.

"Well we got to find him, before they injure themselves" Lightning replied as Thunder gained sight of them.

"Alright let's hurry then!" Chase yelled.

"Right..." Everyone nodded in agreement.

They all rushed in search for Sigmund and  tried to find him in the cave.

As for Thunder, he took notice of their arrival and went to Inferno to warn him.Inside where inferno resided, he was busy planning on his next move. Thunder walked in as Inferno spotted him. "Why aren't you training with the others?!" He asked disappointed.

"Sir, the meddlers have arrived," Thunder replied emotionlessly.

"What?! Get them out of here, the others aren't strong enough to fight yet" Inferno commanded.

"As you wish," Thunder answered as he bowed and retreated into the darkness.

"Could I assist him on scaring them off master? One measly Raichu can't scare them off?" Mewtwo asked.

Inferno pondered for a moment before grinning widely.  Surely the legendary Pokémon will be able to defeat those measly brats.

"You have a point, Mewtwo. Go with him" Inferno demanded.

Mewtwo bowed.  "Yes master," he replied, following Thunder into the shadows.

As for Lightning, Dusk and the others, they just stared at the Pikachus fighting each other. Thunder walked towards them, unbeknownst to them until he spoke. "Hello meddlers, we got a surprise for you" he grinned. He pointed to a large creature in the shadows. They turned around as they all gasped at the sight of both Pokémon.

"Oh Arceus..." Dusk muttered.

"Oh no... Mewtwo!!!!" Lightning squealed. Mewtwo and Thunder grinned.

"What do we do!! Electra cried.

"I don't know, we can't attack our leader or a legendary Pokémon by ourselves" Lightning replied.

"Then that will make things much easier for us," Thunder grinned as sparks began to emanate from him.

"Thunder, what are you doing with Mewtwo?" Electra asked.

Thunder cackled as he unleashed a powerful thunderbolt at Lightning.

"Huh..." she gasped as she jumped out of the way. "Why are you fighting us, Thunder?"

"You are a nuisance to my master, and you must be taken care of," Thunder charged towards the group in a flash.

"Please stop this" Lightning said dodging him. "You don't belong in the dark side".

Thunder prepared an iron tail for Lightning as Dusk came in front of her to counter with his own iron tail. The attacks hit together like swords but Dusk staggers back as Thunder overpowers him.

"Please stop, you have to fight Sigmund's hypnosis!!" Lightning cried out to try to reach his true self.

"Lightning we have to fight him!  We aren't reaching him vocally," Dusk cried out.

"No, I don't want to fight him" Lightning replied sullenly.

Thunder slams down at Lightning with another iron tail.  Dusk managed to push her out of the way before he could make contact.

"I refuse to fight him. He's my leader, he's my... I-I just don't want to fight him" she cried, tears in her eyes.

"Lightning I felt the same way when i had to find you months ago, but we have to do this to save your leader as well as your family!!" Dusk replied to her trying to calm her down.

"O-ok" she sighed.

'How are we going to stop Mewtwo?!" Chase asked.

"I don't know, attack him!?!?" Sparks answered.

Mewtwo looked at the group as Lightning and Dusk were preoccupied with Thunder.

"Nope, good luck, bro" Chase said backing away.

Amethyst watched Mewtwo closely as she expected an attack. Mewtwo began to charge up an aura sphere at Sparks.

"Uh oh!' Sparks cried.

Sparks watched Mewtwo release the attack at him as he tried to dodge it. Amethyst followed the attack with her eyes and intercepted it with Psybeam.

"Thanks Amethyst" Sparks thanked.

"Chase, get your tail over here and help me out, don't be a cheese-brain!!" Sparks yelled to his brother, in the corner cowering like a chicken.

"Against a legendary!?!?  Are you crazy!?!?" Chase cried.

"We have to do something" Sparks replied.

"Stop being a little Pichu and get over here!!" He yelled.

Mewtwo charged another aura sphere while Sparks was arguing with Chase.

Electra took notice as the Pikachu brothers argued.  "Will you two stop arguing!! He's attacking again!" She cried.

"Oh Arceus" Sparks responded as he turned around to see Mewtwo charging another aura sphere at them. Mewtwo unleashed the attack at them once more.

The Pikachu brothers watched the attack approach them as Sparks tries to counter it with electro ball.

As the electro ball made contact it fizzled out almost stopping the aura sphere as it continued hurdling towards them.

"Huh..." Sparks gasped as he dodged it as it continued heading towards Chase. "Chase watch out!!" He warned.

Chase panicked and hesitated as he looked around for a means of escape as the aura sphere homed in on him. The attack  surrounded him in all directions as he was grazed by it.

"Chase!!!!!" Sparks and Electra yelled as everyone ran towards him except for Lightning and Dusk who were busy with Thunder.

"Ow..." Chase muttered.

"Chase, are you okay?" They asked.

"Y-yeah....I think so....." Chase replied.  Even though the attack just grazed him, it was a very powerful attack.

"He tried to get up as his leg snapped like a twig.

"Ahh!!!" He screamed as he held his left hind leg.

"Chase!!"  Sparks screamed as he caught his brother.

Sparks looked at his brother's broken leg.  It didn't look good and he needed  to heal it as soon as possible.

"What are we going to do now, you're injured. You can't fight, Chase" Sparks said worriedly.

Chase looked at his brother.  "I-i told y-you we could n-n-not fight him..." he ensured his brother.  "Just leave here."

"But what about the others?" Sparks asked.

Chase stared into Sparks' eyes hoping to drive the message "Get them out of here Sparks.  Get them out of here now."

"We're not leaving you here" Amethyst chimed in.

"Well how are you going to get me out of here, I can't walk?" Chase asked.

Within an instant Chase was lifted off the ground with Psychic and placed on Amethyst's back. "Oh...."

" But what about Lightning and Dusk?" Sparks asked.

"Are we just going to interfere their battle with Thunder?" He asked as he watched Dusk countering all of Thunder's attacks as he began to look exhausted.

"Oh no, Dusk is getting too tired to fight," Electra cried.

Dusk fell to the ground in exhaustion as Thunder was about to use iron tail on him, but Lightning countered it.

"I don't want to do this, Thunder. You have to stop" Lightning cried.

Thunder didn't listen as he prepared another attack on them. He used Thunderbolt as Lightning used quick attack to dodge it.

"I don't want to fight you , you must stop this now!!!" Lightning yelled.

Thunder refuses to listen as he charges electricity.

Dusk looked up to Thunder as he charged his attack. Unable to dodge, he waited for the inevitable. Thunder began to unleash a strong Thunderbolt at Dusk, but Lightning pushed Dusk out of the way just in time.

"Dusk, I got a plan but it might be risky. Maybe I can do a strong enough Thunderbolt that will kick Sigmund out of his mind, but I don't know what will happen afterwards" Lightning exclaimed.

Dusk looked at her, "we're out...of options....at.... this point..." he panted.  "Go...for it."

"Ok..." she took a breath. "Here goes nothing. She said as she attempted to use Thunderbolt, but nothing happened.

Huh?! W-what?!" She backed up from Thunder in shock and confusion. Thunder smirked as he prepared another attack on Lightning. Thunder charged up another Thunderbolt as the duo watched in horror. As he unleashed the attack at them, Electra countered it with her Thunderbolt.

Electra rushed over to her immediately. "Are you ok, Lightning!?"

"I-I'm fine, it's just I couldn't use a simple Thunderbolt" she said sullenly.

"How come?!" She asked, "wait...that shock you took from that huge lightning bolt earlier! It must have overcharged you!!"

"You're right Electra. That strange storm cloud must have done this to me" Lightning replied.

Thunder charged at the two Pikachus with an iron tail while they were distracted.  Dusk took note of this and cried out to them.  "Lightning!  Electra!  Look out!!"

"Huh?" They questioned as they both realized Thunder was heading towards them with iron tail. Electra nearly dodged it, but Lightning was slapped in the cheek with it. As she rubbed it to soothe the pain.

"Lighting!" Dusk cried.

"Ow..." she groaned.

Dusk stared at her in horror as Thunder was preparing another attack once more.

"Electra, use a strong enough Thunderbolt on him, it might be another way to free him from Sigmund's trance" Lightning told her.

"M-Me!?  against Thunder!?  I can't do it!"  she whined.

"Yes you can Electra!" Dusk ensured her. "You're our only hope at this point!"

"O-ok I'll at least try" she stuttered.

Thunder prepared another thunderbolt as Electra charged hers as well.

Thunder and Electra release them at the same time as they were countered. Electra began to charge another one. Thunder did the same as well. Thunder unleashed his as Electra jumped in the air to dodge and unleashed hers from the air as it went straight to Thunder as a critical hit. Thunder grunted in pain as the bolt hit him but quickly shook it off.

"I don't think it worked" Electra sighed.

Dusk looked at Thunder as he glared at him and the others.  Clearly they were unfit to finish this fight.  They had to leave.

"Electra, shock him again. We have to keep trying" Lightning cried out.

Electra complied as she shocked Thunder once more with thunderbolt. He was shocked once again with another critical hit. He was getting more aggravated as it seems like there was still no effect.

"Do it again. I'm not leaving without him!!" Lightning yelled looking away as Electra kept attacking him.

Electra continued to zap Thunder, growing more and more tired with each blow. Electra began to get angry as she hit Thunder with her strongest Thunderbolt. He began to breath heavily from the attacks but continued to hold his ground.

"Just do it one more time. I can feel that it'll work this time" Lightning hoped.

Electra struggled to stand as she unleashed one last Thunderbolt at Thunder. The attack hit Thunder very hard as He cried out in pain and he fell to the ground in agony. Everyone looked at him in silence.

"Uh... my head" he groaned. Lightning looked at his eyes , they were finally back to normal.

"Thunder, you're back. It worked!!" She cried happily.

"L-Lightning..?" Thunder managed to utter.

"You're finally free" she squealed with joy. "But the others..." she stopped.

"Lightning we- we're in no condition to fight." Dusk urged her.

"But I..." Lightning gained sight of Chase on Amethyst's back.

"Chase!! What happened?" She ran towards them.

"He has a broken leg," Amethyst informed her.  "we should leave to take care of it."

Lightning looked behind her and back to Amethyst. "Okay, maybe you are right Dusk, let's go" she said.

"Let me carry him, miss" Thunder insisted.

Amethyst handed Chase to him gently with Psychic.  Thunder put him on his back as Chase held on tightly. Dusk and Electra struggled to their feet as Mewtwo began to approach them.

"Um... we better go now" Lightning uttered as she spotted Mewtwo heading towards them.

"I second that!" Sparks cried.

Mewtwo charged an aura sphere at them to get them out faster. They all began sprinting for the exit from the cave. Mewtwo released his aura sphere as the group reached the mouth of the cave. Lightning ran as fast as she could to get away from the aura sphere as they all ran out of the way just in time as the attack hit a nearby tree and it began to fall.

The tree seemed to be coming down towards the group, focused onto Amethyst.

"Huh... she gasped.

"Watch out!!!" A male voice shouted as a black creature ran out of the bushes and tripped as he headed straight to Amethyst and pushed her out of the way as he landed on top of her.

The tree came down with a loud crash. Amethyst was a bit dazed from the impact as the creature rammed into her head first.  As her senses returned to her, she saw a black foxlike Pokémon before her and stared at his gleaming red eyes, his yellow rings on his ears glowed faintly. Her body felt warm, a bit too warm.  It was like a heavy blanket was placed on her but that was when she realized what was going on.

"Ow... Y-You saved me" she stuttered. "Who are you?"

"Ow...that hurt.... I'm Shade," the Umbreon answered. "what's your name" he replied back as his red menacing eyes locked onto her soft violet ones.

"I-I'm Amethyst. Nice to meet you, Shade, you can get off me now" Amethyst replied.

"Huh?" He replied still oblivious to the fact that he is on top of her.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm a little clumsy, "Shade confessed as he got off her.

"It's ok," Amethyst replied as she rolled onto her paws.

"Thanks" Shade responded.

"Wow, you came at a perfect time if it wasn't for you, Amethyst would have been as flat as a pancake under that tree" Phoenix said.

"Hehehehe...it was nothing," Shade replied modestly.

"I think your clumsiness was worth it at that moment" Phoenix chirped.

"I'll say," Dusk chimed in, "that was impeccable timing on your part."

"Thanks" Shade replied.

"Well we best be going we need to help Chase with his injury" Lightning replied.

"And help recharge you" Electra added.

"Right, that too" Lightning replied.

"Well let's go" Thunder said.

The group went through the forest when Lightning realized something. "Oh Arceus... I forgot about Sparkle!!"

"Let's hurry and check on my sister too" Electra replied.
