Prompt: Dilmer in Australia with koalas! (This is for Kaitlyn)

Demi's POV

"Wilmer! LOOK!" I squealed, making Wilmer jump and follow my gaze to the trees full of koalas. "They're so fucking cute!" I said, running over to the trees as the attendants followed us.

"Give me your phone so I can take a picture." He said, and I eagerly leaned in to pretend like I was kissing the animal. "There."

I looked at the attendant, "Can I touch it?" He nodded, and I tentatively reached out to stroke it's head. One of it's eyes opened and then slowly closed in content. "I'm in love." I whispered, and giggled at Wilmer, "Sorry babe."

He walked over to me and gently petted the Koala, smiling widely, "He is cute..." He looked at the attendant, "Do they bite?"

He laughed and shrugged, "It's depends if they like you or not. Generally no, but they do usually tend to prefer females over males."

Wilmer's hand snatched back and I giggled, "He won't hurt you... Will you baby?" I cooed, scratching through it's fur."

"Still, I'd rather not risk my hand."

The attendant laughed, "These have been bred by the facility. They've been socialized and hand-fed their entire lives. It's the wild ones you have to watch out for. Their bites cause stitches." This time, my hand backed away and he smiled, "Like I said, they're very tame."

I nodded, "Are there any baby ones?"

He smiled, "Yeah we have a girl that's a few weeks old, her name is Kiani. I'll bring her out for you."

When he walked away and let out an excited squeal and hugged Wilmer, "I'm gonna hold a baby Koala!"

Wilmer raised his eyebrows and laughed with me, "Yes you are! Hopefully it's momma doesn't go ape shit."

I rolled my eyes, but smiled widely as the attendant walked out holding a small bundle wrapped in a blanket, "Oh my God." I whispered, as he passed it to me gently. "Hi Kiani." I murmured, stroking it's head softly. I looked up at Wilmer who had a weird expression on his face, but ti quickly turned to a smile. "I want one." I whined, "Can we keep it?"

Wilmer chuckled, and the Attendant answered, "They're strictly illegal to house as pets. I know you were kidding, but it's unfortunate that they're an endangered species."

I glanced at Wilmer who snorted, "Yeah, she wasn't kidding."

On our way home Wilmer held my hand and looked out the window at the scenery. We'd gone to visit the kangaroos and they were just as adorable as the koalas, but I knew something was on his mind.

"Hey." He looked down at me, "What's on your mind?"

Wilmer shrugged, "Just thinkin', why?"

I smiled and leaned into his side so his arm wrapped around me, "You've just been a little bit quiet, thats all."

He kissed my forehead, "It's a weird thought. Don't worry about it." Wilmer looked out the window again and I smack his shoulder giving him a look. "It's just... I don't know seeing you with the baby koala... It was like it was your baby, and you were literally so adorable holding it like that and talking like that. I can't wait to have our own kids and wake up to you like that every day."

I smiled hugely and pulled his lips to mine, "Me either."
