"How many times do I tell you that I can't come office today?" Rita Ji said a little bit loudly being very much annoyed.

Sana was in Sid's room and taking care of him. She heard Rita Ji's voice and came out of the room to hear what she was saying.

"I know it's important but my son has high fever. How can I leave him alone in this condition?..... Please try to understand.... Hello! Hello!...."

The call was cut.

"Kya baat hai Aunty Ji? Kiska call tha?" Sana asked.

Rita Ji looked at her and said, "Office se call aaya tha Beta. Aaj ek bohut hi important meeting thi. Lekin tu Sid ki haalat dekh rahi hai nah? Main kaise usse iss haalat mein chhor ke office jaa sakti hoon?"

"I think aap ko jaana chahiye. Sid ke liye toh main hoon hi. Main uska khayal rakhungi." Sana said giving her assurance.

"Tu aur kitna karegi? Main dekh rahi hoon, kab se tu usse thande paani ki patti de rahi hai, uska khayal rakh rahi hai. Tu bhi toh thak chuki hogi nah. Aur tu zaldi ghar nahi gayi toh tere parents bhi pareshaan honge."

"Main unhe call kar ke baata deti hoon ki main yaaha hoon. Jab tak aap office se nahi aa jaate, main Sid ke saath hi rahungi."

Rita Ji sighed and said, "Thik hai. Jaisi teri marzi. Waise subah se kuch khaya tune?"

"Woh main zaldi mein ghar se nikli thi toh breakfast karna bhul gayi."

"Mere paas toh abhi time nahi hai. Ho sake toh bahar se order kar ke yaa phir humare kitchen mein hi kuch bana ke khaa lena."

"Main kuch na kuch khaa lungi, aap fikar mat ki jiye."

"Aur sun, maine doctor ko call kiya tha. Woh aaj dopeher ko aa rahe hai Sid ko dekhne."

"Thik hai."

Rita Ji smiled and said, "Main chalti hoon, haan? Zaldi aane ki koshis karungi. Aap na khayal rakhna"

Sana also smiled back.

Rita Ji went to her room, got ready for office and left her home.

Sana took care of Sid the whole day.

In The Noon...

The doctor came and started doing the check up.

"Sid abhi kaisa hai doctor?" Sana asked being worried.

"Darne ki koi baat nahi hai. Tez bukhar ki wajah se unconscious ho gaya tha. Lekin bukhar abhi utar chuka hai. I think hosh bhi zaldi aa jaayega." The doctor said.

Sana was relived.

"Waise accha hua aap ne waqt rehte home remedies apply kiya. Tab hi fever utra hai. Aur lagta toh nahi hai phir se fever aayega, phir bhi main medicines likh deta hoon. Phir fever aaye toh de dena." The doctor said and noted down the name of the medicines on a paper and gave it to Sana.

"Thanks doctor. Aur aap ki fees... "

"Rita Ji ne kaha hai woh baad mein mujhe de degi."

After that the doctor left from the house. Sana was about to lock the door, but at that very moment Asim came there. He didn't expect Sana in Sid's house.

"Asim, tu?" Sana asked.

"Main football practice ke liye Sid ko bulane aaya tha. Lekin tu yaaha kya kar rahi hai?" Asim asked curiously.

"Sid ki tabiyat kharab hai. Main uska khayal rakh rahi hoon. Isliye aaj woh football practice ke liye nahi jaa paayega."

"Oh! It's ok. Waise kya hua Sid ko?"

"High fever tha jiski wajah se unconscious ho gaya tha. Lekin ab temperature thik hai. Doctor ne kaha zaldi hosh bhi aa jaayega."

"Waise ek baat kahu Sana? Bura mat maan na lekin mujhe lagta hai, tujhe yaaha nahi aana chahiye tha. Usne jo kuch bhi kiya tere saath after that....."

Sana didn't let Asim finish and said, "I didn't ask you anything. Sid ko jab bhi meri zaroorat hogi, main uske liye aaungi. And I don't need anyone's permission for that."

Asim became shocked at her sudden statement.

"Sana main toh bas aise hi keh raha tha. Tu gussa kyu ho rahi hai?" He said

Sana calmed herself down and said, "Main gussa nahi hoon. Sid ki tabiyat ko le kar tensed hoon isliye waisa reaction nikal gaya. Whatever, tu meri ek help karega?"

"Haan bol na."

"Mujhe Sid ke liye kuch medicines kharid ni hai. Aunty Ji bhi office gayi hai. Jab tak main nahi aa jaati, tu rahega Sid ke saath?"

"Arrey, yeh bhi koi puchne ki baat hai? Tu jaa nah. Main idhar hi hoon." Asim said.

Sana left from there. Before leaving she glanced at Asim.

"Yeh kaisa friend hai? Iska friend bimaar hai aur abhi bhi iske dimaag mein yeh sab baatein aa rahi hai? Ab toh mujhe iss par shak ho raha hai. Accha hi hua jo maine medicines ke bahane Asim ko idhar hi rok liya. Sid ko hosh aate hi main Asim ke saamne saari baatein clear kar lungi." Sana said in her mind.

After Sana left, Asim went to Sid's room and saw him lying.

"Paata hai Sana ke gham mein teri yeh haalat hui hai. I'm really sorry bro but I had no option. Kya zaroorat thi tujhe Sana se pyaar karne ki? Now suffer." Asim said in his mind.

He sat near Sid.

Suddenly Sid opened his eyes and tried to sit up. Asim noticed it and helped him to sit up.

"Aram se Bro! Relax!" Asim said.

"Sana!" Sid uttered.

He looked everywhere and then asked Asim, "Sana kaha hai?"

"Iss ghar mein sirf main aur tu hai. Sana kaha se aayegi?"

"Nahi Asim. I'm sure Sana thi yaaha. Kuch der pehle tak Sana mere paas hi thi." Sid said confidently.

"Sid, tu high fever ki wajah se unconscious tha. Tujhe kaise paata hoga Sana yaaha thi yaa nahi? Tu Sana ke baare mein zyada sochta hai isliye tujhe aisa lag raha hai."

"Toh kya Sana sach mein nahi aayi thi?"

Asim nodded in no.

"Rita Aunty ne bulaya tha Sana ko. Lekin woh phir bhi nahi aayi. Phir woh mujhe tere paas chhor ke office chali gayi. Aunty ne mujhse kaha tha tujhse jhut kehne ke liye ki Sana aayi thi. Lekin mujhse nahi hoga. Main tujhe jhuti tasalli nahi de sakta." Asim said faking sadness.

"Mujhe itna fever hai yeh sun kar bhi woh nahi aayi? Pehle toh mujhe zara si bhi takleef hoti thi toh woh bhag ke mere paas aa jaati thi. Phir ab kyu nahi aayi?"

"Kyu ki woh tujhse pyaar nahi karti."

"Karti hai!" Sid shouted. "Mujhe yakeen hai meri Sana mujhse pyaar karti hai." Sid said angrily.

He was not ready to believe that Sana didn't love him.

"Calm down Bro! It's not good for your health. Aur kab tak tu khud ko yakeen dilata rahega ki Sana tujhse pyaar karti hai. Agar woh sach mein tujhse pyaar karti toh kya uss din ground pe tujhse milne nahi aati? Kya uss din ke baad woh tujhe continuously avoid karti? Kya aaj tu bimaar hai yeh sun kar bhi woh tere paas nahi aati? Her actions clearly proves that she doesn't love you."

Tears started flowing from Sid's eyes after hearing Asim's words.

"But Bro, what about the kiss we shared? Agar woh mujhse pyaar nahi karti toh khud ke close aane kyu deti?" Sid asked. He was still trying to make himself believe that Asim's words were not true.

"Uss mein kya hai? Ho jaata hai kabhi kabhi. Ek kiss se teri soulmate nahi ban gayi woh. Tu ek baar thik se yaad kar ke baata, tune Sana ke saath jo kiya uske baad kya Sana ne kabhi bhi tujhe I love you bola hai?"

Sid tried to remember.

Then he looked at Asim and nodded in no.

"That's it. Woh nahi karti tujhse pyaar. Meri maan, tu usse bhul jaa. Uske yaad mein khud ko aur zyada hurt mat kar."

Sid didn't reply.

After sometime, Asim looked at his watch and said, "Football practice ka time ho chuka hai. Teri condition dekh ke lagta toh nahi ki tu jaa paayega. It's ok tu rest kar. Main chalta hoon." Asim said and stood up.

"Haan Asim. Tu jaa."

"Tu abhi thik hai nah?"

"Pehle se better hoon. Don't worry."

"Ok bye. Take care." Asim said and left from there.

"Bahar jaa ke dekhta hoon Sana aayi yaa nahi. Agar woh aayi toh main uss se medicines le ke khud hi Sid ko de dunga. Aur keh dunga ki Sid uss se milna nahi chahta. Jo bhi ho, main Sana aur Sid ko ek hone nahi dunga." Asim said in his mind while leaving.

After Asim left, Sid stood up.

"Kitni asani se tune keh diya ki bhul jaa Sana ko. Kaisa bhul jau? Pehli baar kisi se pyaar kiya hai. Itna asaan hai kya usse bhul na? Sana ke bina meri zindagi ka koi point hi nahi hai. Main jee ke bhi kya karunga uske bina? Sayad ab mere paas ek hi raasta hai." Sid said in his mind and took his mobile.

Meanwhile...

Sana went to the pharmacy to buy medicines for Sid. She bought the medicines and was about to return. Suddenly her phone rang.

She received the call.

"Haan Shivangi bol." Sana said.

"Sana tu zaldi se ghar aa. Main aur Kushal tere ghar ke bahar khade hai." Shivangi said.

"Lekin main toh Sid ke liye medicines kharid ne aayi thi. Mujhe ghar jaa ke usse medicines deni hai."

"Sana you have to come right now. It's very urgent! Ok bye!"

"Hello..."

The call was cut.

"Ab kya karu? Waisa mera ghar yaaha se zyada dur nahi hai. Ek baar mil ke hi aati hoon." Sana said in her mind.

After sometime...

Sana reached home and saw Kushal and Shivangi standing outside her home.

"Kya baat hai? Mujhe itni zaldi mein kyu bulaya?" Sana asked.

"Actually, Kushal wants to show you something." Shivangi said.

"What?"

Kushal gave Sana Asim's mobile and show her a video.

"Isse dhyan se dekhna." Kushal said.

Sana started watching the video. She heard Rashmi and Asim's whole conversation. Sana's eyes became wide in shock.

After the video ended, Sana said, "Oh God! Yeh sab Asim ka plan tha? I can't believe this."

"Exactly Sana!" Kushal said. "Even I couldn't believe this. Lekin yeh sach hai. Tujhe aur Sid ko alag karne ke liye yeh saara kuch Asim ne kiya hai."

"Aur maine bewajah Sid par shak kiya. Kitna bura bhala kaha usse. I trusted this jerk over him." Sana said. She was feeling very much guilty.

"Sana tujhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha. Iss nalle ki baaton pe aake tune uss insaan par trust nahi kiya jo tujhe sab se zyada pyaar karta hai." Shivangi said.

"Sana ki galti nahi hai. Mujhe bhi kaha yakeen ho raha tha ki Asim itna neeche gir sakta hai? Aaj jab main uska phone wapas karne uske piche gaya tha toh maine school gate pe usko aur Rashmi ko baat karte dekha. Mujhe thoda doubt hua unn par isliye yeh video karna start kar diya. Aur sacchai jaan ne ke baad toh main bhi shocked hogaya tha. Pehle mujhe laga Sid ko jaa ke baatau. Phir maine socha pehle tujhe baatana sahi rahega. Isliye maine Shivangi ko bhi call kar ke bula liya. By the way, Sana, kya Asim jo bol raha hai woh sach hai? Did he propose you?" Kushal said.

"Haan lekin woh 2 saal pehle ki baat hai. I thought ki woh move on kar chuka hai. Mujhe kya paata tha woh abhi tak uss baat ko nahi bhula? How would I know that he wanted to take revenge?"

"Mujhe pehle hi samajh jaana chahiye tha." Kushal said. "Suru se uss hi ne Sid ko provoke kiya tha tere saath pyaar ka natak karne ke liye. Sid kabhi tera dil nahi todna chahta tha. Asim ke kehne par usne sab kuch kiya. Aur jab Sid ne humse kaha ki woh tujhse pyaar karta hai, Asim wasn't happy at all. Woh bas tum dono ko saath nahi dekhna chahta. Isliye usne yeh pura khel khela."

Suddenly Sana started crying after remembering how badly she behaved with Sid for that Asim.

Shivangi went and hugged Sana.

"Tu ro kyu rahi hai?" She asked.

"Shivangi, maine Sid ko bohut galat samjha. Aaj uski aisi haalat meri wajah se hai. Ek baar sab kuch thik ho jaaye, main uss Asim ko chhorungi nahi. Kaisa kamina dost hai yaar woh?" Sana said while crying.

"Mujhe bura lagta hai ki woh kabhi mera dost tha." Kushal said angrily.

"Asim ko hum sabak sikhayenge. Lekin uss se pehle humein Sid ko saari sacchai baatani hogi." Shivangi said.

Sana wiped her tears and said, "You are right. Mujhe abhi uske paas jaana hoga. Paata nahi uski tabiyat thik bhi hui yaa nahi."

Suddenly a sound of notification came from Sana's phone. She took her phone and saw a text message from Sid.

"Sid ka message?" Sana uttered and started reading the message.

"Goodbye Sana! Main humesha ke liye sab ko chhor ke jaa raha hoon. Ho sake toh meri galtiyon ke liye mujhe maaf kar dena. I love you!"

Sana was numb after reading the message.

"Fuck! We have to reach his home quickly." Kushal said.

"Uske ghar mein abhi kaun hai?" Shivangi asked.

"Main jab waha se nikli thi toh Asim tha....." Sana said.

"Asim abhi tak nikal chuka hoga practice ke liye. That means he is alone in the house. We should hurry." Kushal said.

They immediately called a cab and got inside the cab. The driver started driving.

Sana was crying non-stop.

"Sana, bharosa rakh. Sid ko kuch nahi hoga." Shivangi said while consoling Sana.

"S... shivangi....Agar usse... kuch...kuch.... hogaya toh?....Main khud ko kabhi....Maaf....nahi kar paungi..." Sana said while crying.

"Bhaiya, aap thoda zaldi gadi chalaiye please." Kushal said to the driver.

After sometime, they reached Sid's house.

They immediately entered the house and started looking for Sid. They went to his room but it was empty.

"Woh apne room mein nahi hai." Sana said.

"Sab jagah dhundo guys, fast!" Kushal said.

They searched everywhere but didn't find Sid.

Suddenly Sana said, "Chhat pe dhund te hai ek baar."

Kushal and Shivangi nodded. Three of them went to the rooftop and saw a shocking sight.

Sid was standing at edge of the rooftop. His eyes were closed. He was about to jump........

"Siiiiiid!" Sana screamed loudly.

Sid immediately opened his eyes and turned. He saw Sana and a huge smile came to his face.

"Sid, neeche utar!" Shivangi said.

"What are doing bro? Tera dimaag kharab hogaya hai? Neeche utar zaldi." Kushal said.

Sid didn't move.

"Sid, bohut hogaya. Ab niche utar, tujhe meri kasam." Sana said while crying.

Sid slowly got down and went near Sana.

"Yeh... yeh kya karne jaa raha tha tu? Were you trying to end your life?" Sana asked. She was still scared. Her voice was showing it.

Sid didn't reply.

Sana pulled his collar angrily and said, "Ab chup kyu hai? Baata na. Sab ko chhor ke jaana chahta tha tu? Mujhe chhor ke jaana chahta tha? Itni zaldi haar maan li tune? Mujhe nahi paata tha tu itna bada loser hai."

"Main loser nahi hoon." Sid said suddenly. "Tune hi toh kaha tha losers woh hote hai jo koshis nahi karte, haar maan jaate hai. Maine haar nahi maani thi. Main ek last baar koshis kar raha tha. Tujhe wapas paane ki koshis. Mujhe paata tha agar tu mujhse pyaar karti hai toh mera message padh ke zaroor aayegi."

"Matlab...Matlab tu suicide ka natak kar raha tha?"

"Main natak nahi kar raha tha. Agar tu nahi aati toh...."

"Toh? Toh kya karta tu?"

Sid sighed and said, "Toh mujhe yakeen ho jaata ki tu mujhse pyaar nahi karti. Phir main jee ke kya karta? My life is meaningless without you. Tab mein sach mein chhat se kud jaata aur khud ko khatan kar deta........"

"THUDDDDDD!"

Sid felt a sharp pain on his cheek because of Sana's tight slap. She had tears in her eyes.

"How dare you! Himmat kaise hui aisi baat karne ki. Yeh life na tujhe Aunty Ji ne di hai. Tera koi haq nahi banta jab marzi ho isse khatam kar dene ka. Agli baar aisi harkat ki nah toh main khud tujhe khatam kar dungi. Do you understand?" Sana said angrily. She lost her calm when Sid talked about ending his life.

"Aur tujhe kya lagta hai? Yeh sab karne se main tujhse pyaar karne lagungi? Teri pichli galtiyon ke liye toh maine tujhe maaf kar diya. Lekin teri iss galti ke liye main tujhe kabhi maaf nahi karungi."

"Toh phir main aur kya karu Sana? Itna kuch kiya sirf tera pyaar paa ne ke liye. Lekin kuch nahi hua. Ab aisa kya karu jis se tu maan jaaye? Jis se tu mere pyaar ko accept kar le? Kya karu main?"

Sana thought for sometime and then asked, "Main jo kahungi tu woh karega?"

Sid nodded.
