It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining brightly and birds were chirping. Sid and Sana were standing in a forest holding each others' hands. All the time Sid was just looking at Sana.

"Aise kya dekh raha hai?" Sana asked smiling.

"Tujhe." Sid said and grabbed Sana closer by her waist.

"Tere saamne mujhe kuch aur dikhayi kaha deta hai? Mann karta hai pura din bas tujhe hi dekhta rahu." Sid said with love-filled eyes while tucking a layer of her hair behind her ear.

"Accha Ji? Aur agar main dur chali gayi toh?" Sana asked.

Sid grabbed her waist more tightly and said, "Nahi jaane dunga. Aise kas ke pakad ke rakhunga tujhe."

Sana suddenly freed herself from his grip and said while laughing, "Nahi pakad paaya tu mujhe. Main toh chali."

Saying that Sana started running in the forest and Sid started running after her.

"Sana ruk jaa, Sana!...  Main iss se tez.... nahi bhag sakta...." Sid said panting.

"Pakad mujhe Sid! Main bhag rahi hoon." Sana said while running and laughing.

Soon she became vanished in front his eyes. Sid stopped running being very tired. He was taking deep breath.

Then he looked here and there but couldn't find Sana.

"Sana kaha hai tu?" Sid screamed.

"Main yaaha hoon Sid." Her voice echoed in the forest.

Sid started finding her in the forest while calling her name. But she was nowhere.

"Sana ab tera zyada ho raha hai. Wapas aa jaa warna main baat nahi karunga tujhse." Sid said being panicked.

Soon he started finding her like a crazy. But he suddenly stopped seeing Sana's body lying on the ground. It was covered with blood.

"Sanaaaa!" He screamed.

Sid suddenly woke up. It was 5.00 am in the morning. He didn't realise when he fell asleep while sitting on the chair. When his sleep broke, he saw the doctor coming with some nurse.

Sid stood up and went to them.

"Sana....."

Before he could complete, the doctor said, "The operation is successful."

Sid was about to smile but then a thought came to his mind.

"What about our baby?" He asked.

"The baby is also safe."

Hearing that Sid gave a sigh of relief.

"But the danger is not gone." The doctor said making Sid worried.

"Kyu? Kya hua doctor?" He asked.

"Humne unka operation toh successfully kar diya hai aur unhe ICU mein shift bhi kar diya hai. But she isn't responding to any medicine. Unke aas paas kya ho raha hai woh sab kuch sun aur samajh sakti hai bas unke body mein koi movement nahi ho raha. She is under observation. Agar 24 hours ke andar unhone koi response nahi kiya toh yeh Maa aur Baccha dono ke liye khatarnak ho sakta hai."

Sid got scared hearing that but gathered some courage. He couldn't break down in this situation. He had to stay strong and save his Sana and their baby at any cost.

"Kya main uss se mil sakta hoon?" Sid asked.

The doctor nodded in yes.

Sid entered the ICU and saw Sana lying on the hospital bed like a lifeless body. The girl who could speak non-stop all the day, was now all quiet and calm. Sid's heart broke seeing Sana in this condition. He never imagined that one day only because of him Sana would be landed here, in this hospital.

Sid tried to stay strong and sat near her bed.

He wiped his tears and said, "Yeh main kya sun raha hoon Sana? Tu inn.... Doctors ko bhi pareshan karne lagi hai? Mujhe pareshan karke tera mann nahi bhara kya?..... Kuch bol!"

There was no movement of her. Sid felt like crying but controlled himself.

"Acche se samajh raha hoon main. Tu mujhse naraz hai iss hi liye aise sata rahi hai. Hai naa? Waise tera naraz hona banta hai. Phir se Gadhapanti jo kiyi hai maine. Ek kaam kar, tu.... Mujhe thappad maar, phir se. Main idhar hi baitha hoon. Tu mujhe jitna chahe thappad maar le, nikal le apni saari bharas. Main kuch nahi kahunga."

Sid kept quiet for sometime expecting for some movements from Sana. But she kept lying just like that.

"Now it's enough Sana. Tu mujhe bilkool attention nahi de rahi hai. Yeh thik nahi hai. Kabhi kabhi mujhe bhi attention chahiye hoti hai yaar. Meri koi feelings nahi hai kya?...... Tu abhi bhi chup rahegi? Waise toh pura din mera sir khaati rehti hai aur aaj jab baat karne ko bol raha hoon toh aise attitude dikha rahi hai."

Sid paused for a while and said, "Mujhe na woh din yaad aa gaya jab tu humare school mein pehli baar aayi thi. Uss waqt bhi tu aisi hi thi, kisi se baat nahi karti thi. Attitude wali! Huh!"

Saying that Sid smiled remembering that day.

"I still remember. Uss waqt hum 8th standard mein the. Main apne dosto ke saath school ke playground mein khel raha tha. Aur phir tu aayi. Apna school uniform pehen ke, baalon ke dono side mein braids bana ke, jhuki nazro ke saath tu dheere se chal ke aayi. Phir kya? Main tujhe dekhta hi reh gaya. Ek ajeeb si feeling hone lagi mujhe. Woh feeling kya thi yeh samajhne mein mujhe kayi saal lag gaye. Khair, uss baat ko rehne dete hai. Lekin aisa pehli baar hua ki maine, Sidharth Shukla ne kisi ladki ko itni der tak notice kiya. Aur woh meri life ka pehla shot tha jo goal post ke bahar gaya tha kyu ki main tujhe dekh raha tha. Tab na mera bohut mann kar raha tha ki tujhse jaa ke dosti karu. Lekin tu toh jaanti hi hai, uss waqt mera ego kuch aur hi level pe tha. Phir jab paata chala ki tu ek kitabi kira hai, humari tarah cool nahi hai, maine maan liya ki humari dosti toh kabhi nahi ho sakti. Because we are exactly opposite to each other. Upar se yeh darr bhi tha ki tu class ki topper hai, mujh jaise backbenchers se tu thodi dosti karegi? But Sana I used to adore you. Pehle pehle jab jab tu meri Ms. Solution ban ke studies mein meri help karti thi na, main thank you bolne ke liye tujhe ek gift deta tha. Saamne se nahi, secretly. Tab tujhe jitne bhi gifts mile the na, maine hi tujhe diye the. Yaha tak tera Kullu..... Arrey main nahi woh teddy bear. That was also gifted by me. Pyaar tha yaa nahi woh toh nahi paata, lekin gifts milne ke baad tere chehre pe jo smile aati thi usse dekh kar lagta tha maine kuch bohut hi bada achieve kar liya hai."

Suddenly he saw a movement in Sana's finger. He became hopeful. He hold her hands and started crying.

"Class 8 se le kar aaj tak tu meri chahat nahi zaroorat hai Sana. Chahe as lovers ho, friends ho yaa phir Mr. Problem and Ms. Solution ho, main humesha tujhse juda rehna chahta tha. Maine bol toh diya tujhe apni life se jaane ke liye lekin main bhul gaya tha ki tere bina mujhe jeena aata kaha hai? I need you in every step of my life. Ab se tu jo bolegi woh hi hoga. Tu jaisa chahegi main bilkool waisa Sidharth ban jaunga. Please mere paas wapas aa jaa! Main akela nahi jee sakta. Mujhe tere aur humare bacche ke saath jeena hai."

Again there was some movements in Sana's body hearing that.

"Sana mujhe paata hai ki tere andar humara baccha hai. Mere liye naa sahi tujhe humare bacche ke liye jeena hoga. Jis Dr. Shehnaaz Gill ne maut ko hara ke itne logo ki jaan bachai hai woh aaj khud haar nahi maan sakti. You have to come back for your patients, for your family, for me, for our love and for our baby."

As soon as Sana's body started moving, Sid heard some beeping sounds.

Immediately the doctor and nurses entered the ICU.

"Mr. Shukla, can you please wait outside?" The doctor asked to which Sid nodded.

He left the cabin and started praying to God.

After sometime the doctor came out of the cabin.

"The patient and her baby are absolutely fine now. They are out of danger." The doctor said smiling.

A huge smile came to Sid's face.

"Thank you so much doctor. I'm grateful to you." He said.

"Yeh aap ka pyaar aur unki will-power inn dono ka kamal hai." The doctor said.

"Main andar jaau?" Sid asked. He was dying to meet Sana.

"She is now taking rest. You can go after sometime."

Sid nodded.

Later That Day...

Sid entered the cabin. Sana was sitting on the hospital. There were bandages on her head, hands and legs. Though she was feeling very weak, she was much better than earlier.

Sid sat near her.

"Abhi thoda better feel ho raha hai?" He asked to which Sana nodded in yes.

Sid didn't say anything for sometime neither Sana was talking.

After sometime Sid asked, "Are you still angry at me?"

Sana took a deep breath and nodded in yes while controlling her tears.

"Baat nahi karegi?" He asked again to which Sana nodded in no.

"Sana jo hua main usse badal toh nahi sakta. Lekin main yeh same mistake kabhi repeat nahi karunga. Aaj jab tujhe almost kho baitha tha tab jaa ke mujhe aur acche se ehsaas hua how much important you are to me. Iske baad agar kabhi koi misunderstanding hui toh hum ghar pe baith ke apas mein lad lenge, jhagad lenge. But I won't let you go away from me."

Sana looked at Sid with teary eyes. Tears were flowing from Sid's eyes as well.

Sid wiped his tears and said, "Kya sab kuch bhul ke hum ek nayi suruwaad kar sakte hai?"

Sid lifted up his index finger, little finger and thumb.

"Hum lovers ban ne mein itna busy ho gaye ki hum bhul hi gaye that we were friends as well. Those friends who used to understand each other. Humare rishte mein iss friendship ki kami hai Sana. So, friends?" He asked.

Sana smiled with her tears and slowly lifted up her index finger, little finger and thumb.

After that their fingers joined and they did handshake.

"Friends." Sana said.

Sid became very happy. He came near her and kissed her forehead. Sana closed her eyes. Now she was feeling completed.

Sid then came to her tummy and gave a kiss on it.

"I love you." He whispered.

"I love you too." Sana said.

"But maine toh humare baby ko bola." Sid said innocently looking at her.

Sana frowned and pushed him away showing fake anger.

Sid chuckled and again came near.

"I love you.... Baby ki Mummy." He said kissing her cheeks.

"I love you too, Baby ke Papa." Sana whispered and kissed his cheeks.
