In the evening Sid and Sana returned home. Sana was sad as the day didn't go as she planned. Sid was with her the whole day but all the time he was busy with his clients. Couldn't he give her at least one day of his life?

They entered the apartment together. Sana saw that Sid was busy scrolling his phone. Sana tried to divert his mind from work.

"Aaj movie dekhne ke baare mein kya khayal hai? Mere phone pe ek bohut hi acchi movie hai. Main apne phone ko TV se connect kar dungi. Phir hum dono TV pe movie dekhenge." Sana said.

"Aaj hi movie dekhegi?" Sid asked.

"Haan. Chal na dekhte hai."

Sid nodded.

They both got freshed and changed their dresses. Then Sana connected her phone with TV and played the movie. They started watching movie sitting on the sofa.

After sometime Sana noticed that Sid was busy in his phone. Sana wrapped her hands around his arm and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Do you remember, when we were in college, hum theatre pe movies dekhne jaate the. Main humesha maana karti thi because of too much study pressure, lekin phir bhi tu mujhe zabardasti le ke jaata tha. Aur theatre pe jaake tu movie dekhne mein nahi balki sabse piche wali seat mein baith ke mere saath romance karne mein busy hota tha. Pagal tha tu bilkool!"

Saying that Sana chuckled remembering those crazy days.

Sid just gave a smile and hummed looking at his phone. Sana's smile faded away as she expected much more reaction from him. She gave a sad smile and tried to concentrate on watching the movie.

After sometime Sid's phone started ringing.

"Sana zara pause karna." Sid said and Sana paused the movie.

Sid picked up the call.

"Hello!.... Haan main ghar pe hoon.... What?.... Abhi?..... Thik hai main aata hoon.... Hmm...."

Sid cut the call and sighed.

"Kya hua?" Sana asked.

"Mujhe abhi nikal na hoga. Kaam aa gaya hai." Sid said.

"Lekin yeh movie...."

"Sana we can watch this later. Abhi mera kaam zyada zaroori hai. I have to go."

Sana became quiet.

Sid went to his room and got dressed. Sana sadly switched off the TV.

"I hope ghar lautne mein zyada der nahi hogi. I'll have dinner after I return."

Saying that Sid left.

Sana closed the door and went to her room.

She started seeing some old photos in her gallery sitting on the bed.

She saw some photos of her previous year's birthday and smiled seeing how happily she celebrated it with her family and friends.

Suddenly she remembered something and opened the calander of her phone.

"There are only 4 days to go. Mujhe toh yaad hi nahi tha ki mera birthday aane wala hai. Kya Sid ko yaad hoga?....." Sana said in her mind and immediately smacked her own head.

"Main kuch bhi sochti hoon. Har saal ki tarah iss saal bhi Sid zaroor kuch na kuch special karega. No matter how much busy he is, he can never forget my birthday."

Thinking that Sana smiled.

It was a day before Sana's birthday. She was hell excited. She was thinking how Sid would celebrate it. She wanted to ask him but at the same time she didn't want to spoil the surprise he might planned for her.

In the morning, Sid was getting ready for college.

"Sana kaal meri ek client ke saath meeting fixed hui hai. Badi deal hai. Mujhe ek din ke liye seher se bahar jaana hoga." He said suddenly.

A smile came to Sana's face.

"Lagta hai iska surprise dene ka plan abhi se suru ho chuka hai. Main bhi thodi acting kar leti hoon jaise mujhe kuch paata hi nahi hai." She said in her mind.

"Ohhh! Kab jaa raha hai tu?" Sana asked maintaining a poker face.

"Soch raha hoon seedha college se hi nikal jaaunga." Sid replied.

"Ok."

After that Sana left for hospital and Sid left for college.

At Night...

Sana was looking at the clock and eagerly waiting for Sid's call.

"Bas 5 minute baki hai 12 bajne mein. Mujhse toh intezaar hi nahi ho raha. Kab aayega Sid ka call?" She said in her mind.

After sometime her phone started ringing. She excitedly took the phone in her hand.

It was her parents' call. Sana's excitement faded away.

She picked up the call.

"Happy Birthday!" The parents said.

"Thank you Mummy Papa. Bohut miss kar rahi hoon aap dono ko." She said giving a slight smile.

"Tu Mumbai aa jaati ek din ke liye. Hum sab saath mein tera birthday celebrate karte." Parminder Ji said.

"Mummy woh possible nahi hai. Idhar bohut kaam hai mujhe."

"Samajh sakti hoon. Chal at least Sid toh tere saath hai. Tum dono acche se enjoy karna."

"Abhi hum rakhte hai. Bye!" Santokh Ji said.

"Bye!"

Saying that Sana cut the call.

After sometime her phone rang again.

She thought it to be Sid but this time it was Rita Ji.

"Janamdin ki dher saari badhaiya meri bacchi ko!" Rita Ji said lovingly.

Sana smiled and said, "Thank you Aunty Ji."

"Sid ne wish kiya?" She asked further.

"Woh....."

"Main bhi kaisa sawal puch rahi hoon. Usne toh sabse pehle wish kiya hoga. Hai naa?"

Sana hummed sadly.

"Tu apna special day acche se enjoy karna uske saath. Aur agar woh koi badmaashi kare na toh mujhe baata dena. Main daant dungi usse."

Sana laughed a little.

"Ok Good night!"

"Good night!"

Sana cut the call and looked at the clock. It was 12.10 am.

After sometime she again received a call.

"Many many happy returns of the day!" Shivangi and Kushal said together.

"Thanks guys." Sana said.

"Ab zaldi zaldi video call kar. Main dekhna chahti hoon Sid ne iss baar kya special kiya hai tere liye." Shivangi said.

"Sid kisi kaam se bahar gaya hai so don't get so excited."

"Phir toh pakka woh tujhse jhut bol raha hai. Kuch hi der mein aata hoga tera surprise le ke. Kyu ki tere birthday pe woh kisi kaam se bahar jaaye aisa ho hi nahi sakta." Kushal said.

"Maybe.... Lekin ek baat baatao.... Tum dono itni raat ko saath mein kya kar rahe ho?" Sana asked to which Shivangi and Kushal turned totally red.

"Hello.... Sana teri awaz nahi aa rahi..... Hello....."

And the call got cut.

Sana nodded her head in disbelief.

"Cartoons hai dono ke dono." Sana said in her mind and laughed.

"But ek baat unhone sahi kahi. Ho sakta hai Sid ki koi meeting hi nahi hai clients ke saath. Woh seedha aake mujhe surprise dega."

Sana started waiting for Sid but soon fell asleep.

Next Morning...

Sana woke up realising that it was morning.

"Sid!" She uttered in a sleepy voice rubbing her eyes.

Then she realised that he didn't return home last night.

She checked her phone.

There was not a single call or message of him. She was herself going to call Sid but suddenly her phone started ringing.

Without even seeing the caller's name, Sana picked up the call and said angrily, "Tu ab call kar raha hai mujhe? Tujhe paata hai main kab se tere call ka wait kar rahi hoon?"

"Maine toh subah uth te hi tujhe call kiya. Sorry if I was late." Ayush said being nervous.

Sana realised that it was Ayush. She bit her tongue and said, "Ayush tu? Mujhe laga sayad...."

Sana didn't say anything further.

"Anyway happy birthday!" Ayush said. "Aur maine Medha ko bhi add kar liya hai conference call mein."

"Happy birthday Sana!" Medha said.

"Thank you Ayush! Thank you Medha!" Sana said.

After talking to them for some time, Sana cut the call.

"Haddh hai. Ab toh Ayush ne bhi wish kar diya. Aur iss jalkukde ko dekho. Ek message tak nahi kiya. Paata nahi itni der kyu lag rahi hai isse yaaha aa ke surprise dene mein. Kaal raat ko hi aa jaana chahiye tha." Sana said in her mind.

Now she got very impatient and called Sid.

"Hello! Sid tu kidhar hai?" Sana asked as soon as he picked up the call.

"Meeting ke liye nikal raha hoon bas." Sid replied.

"Matlab tu Bangalore mein nahi hai?" Sana asked being dismayed.

Sid became confused hearing that.

"Kaisi baatein kar rahi hai? Main seher se bahar aaya hoon kaam ke silsile mein. Kaal baataya tha na tujhe?"

"Oo haan. Main bhul gayi thi." Sana said while a lone tear escaped her eyes.

"Accha sun, main aaj pura din busy rahunga. So without any emergency, mujhe call mat karna."

"Ok."

"Bye Baby! Take care! Love you!"

Saying that Sid cut the call.

Sana looked at her phone's screen which had Sid's wallpaper.

"Iska matlab tu sach mein mera birthday bhul gaya?" She asked.

Then she gave a forceful smile and said, "No. I shouldn't be sad. Abhi pura din bacha hai. Tujhe yaad aa hi jaayega ki aaj mera birthday hai. I'll wait for your wish."

Saying that Sana kissed her phone's screen.

Then she got ready and went to the hospital after having breakfast.

After sometime...

Sana entered the hospital but suddenly stopped seeing something. She couldn't move further as she was very much surprised. She couldn't believe her own eyes. She wondered whether it was true or she was dreaming.
