Chapter 25 - The End

Two months later
Raizada Mansion

"Shyam," Arnav walked towards the living room, calling out for Shyam, whose eyes were fixed at the TV screen, enjoying 'Salman Khan movie' with his partner in crime, Khushi.

On hearing his name, Shyam widened his eyes, frantically handing the popcorn bowl and TV remote to Khushi as he stood up straight, gazing at Arnav ready for the worst. To hear, the 'Get out from here' words from Arnav's mouth. In these two months, he doesn't get proper sleep because he always have nightmares at midnight, where Arnav is beating him up mercilessly and then throws him out of his house.

Arnav sighed, rolling his eyes: Calm down Shyam. I already told you hundred times that you can stay here in this house. Why do you still get scared everytime I call you?

"I will stop reacting like this, the day you start considering me your brother, then only my stay here will be permanent," Shyam confessed, smiling sheepishly.

"Hmm.. That will take time," Arnav said, "Anyways, I came here to ask if you're free, can you take Nani and Mami to the temple?"

"Yeah, sure!" Shyam nodded obediently.

"I'm also free.. I will come with you Partner," Khushi said munching her popcorns, settled in the couch, glancing at them.

"Good.. I'm going to office then," Arnav bend his back, leaning down to drop a soft kiss on Khushi's forehead as he whispered, "Take care!"

"You too," Khushi smiled.

As soon as he left from there, Khushi threw a cushion to Shyam, who was palming his cheeks behind them overwhelmed, making 'Aww' expressions, "Don't you have any shame watching couples PDA?"

He giggled, getting back to his seat, "You guys look cute together. Seriously, I never imagined Sale Sahab to behave like this with any girl in this world. You know, he was never the romantic type guy! When I got married to Chudail, he was a nerdy. He didn't talk much with anyone, he used to be silent in his room, studying, painting, taking care of his plants or thinking. He faced a lot in his life at a young age. Chudail still had me and the family, since she was a happy and bubbly girl, she was the center of attention of the family and consequently, the most pampered one also. On the other side, Sale Sahab become mature and responsible in life. He step out of home and faced the cruel world all by himself. All these years, I've never seen him paying attention to anything else, other than his family and business. While Chudail, all these years I've seen her being pampered by each and every member of this family. She could ask for anything and Sale Sahab would bring it to her, no matter what. He treated her like a Princess. That's why your sudden entry in our lives, was like a shock to Chudail. She was insecure and afraid, that you would take her place in this house."

"I see," Khushi nodded understandingly, "By the way, I think no one can understand Anjali better than you!" she winked teasingly.

"Oh please.. I'm a lawyer and I have to try my best always to read the criminal's mind," Shyam rolled his eyes.

"You never felt anything for Anjali?" Khushi asked curiously.

"I married Anjali for a better life Partner. I never had any such love feelings for her.. and I also never believe in Love. But seeing you with Sale Sahab these days.. I think I am in mood to fall in.. no try in love!" Shyam shrugged, as he confessed embarrassed.

Khushi smiled teasingly, "Really? I feel pity for the unlucky girl who will fall in love with a man who's obsessed with his room, bed, study room and luxurious lifestyle!"

"Ouch!" Shyam caressed his chest faking hurt, pouting.

Khushi giggled shaking her head. Nani and Mami came downstairs ready to leave for the temple.

"Are you going to talk about Jiji and Akash's marriage with the priest Nani?" Khushi asked as she and Shyam got up from the couch ready to leave.

"Yes. Their wedding is day after tomorrow. We need to discuss few things with the priest," Nani replied smiling.

"I'm too excited. I can't wait to welcome Jiji home," Khushi smiled widely, walking with them towards the exit door. Shyam had gone upstairs quickly to grab the car keys.

"Yes. After what seemed an eternity, our family is going to be blessed with happiness again. Payal and Akash's marriage brought the much needed smile on our faces that Anjali had taken away from us," Mami said.

Khushi and Nani nodded agreeing with her.

"My baby boy is also happy. And that's all I wanted," Mami added.

"Chote was very happy even before we started Payash's wedding functions. He wakes up everyday with a bright smile on his face Manorama. I don't think it's the wedding effect, but someone else effect!" Nani said teasingly.

Khushi hide her face with her both palms shyly making Nani and Mami giggled as the two elder ladies pulled the shy Khushi for a warm hug.

"Tonight my heart is going to break again," Aman announced, wiping the non existent tears in the corner of his eyes. He was settled at the opposite chair of Arnav's, while Akash was sitting beside him.

"Your pain is nothing compared to mine Aman. I live with these two and sleep beside their room, only I know how much I cry when I hear-"

"Shut up Akash.. My room is soundproofed," Arnav rolled his eyes.

"Kya Bhai! You just spoiled my hit dialogue," Akash complained.

"Payal is soon coming to our house. Are you going to behave like this in front of her? She might leave you after hearing what nonsense you speak everyday," Arnav teased making Aman laugh at Akash.

"She won't mind. After all, if you're my living in boyfriend, then she is Khushi's affair wala boyfriend. I bet you didn't thought about this bhai. When Payal join us, then you better be prepared because Khushi bhabhi isn't going to give you any attention. She will spend most of the times with her sister only, that means she'll betray you with Payal.. her affair wala boyfriend!" Akash chuckled.

"What the," Arnav frowned deeply, thinking of that possibility, "That's not possible.. You better spend your entire day with Payal so that she doesn't steal Khushi from me!"

"And when will I work?" Akash raised his eyebrows questioningly.

"Aman will do your work!" Arnav replied curtly.

"WHAT?" Aman cried, "You're so cruel with me. I'm the one who takes care of you in my apartment when you need the most and you didn't even think twice before giving me double work! I will send you my resignation letter today itself.. Enough of being tortured by my lover.. It's time to move on Aman Mathur!" he ended dramatically.

Arnav chuckled, shaking his head little emotional as well, "Ah.. I don't know what would be of my life without you both!"

Akash and Aman looked at each other with a surprised emotional smile.

"First time you confessed your love for me," Aman's jaw dropped.

"Second for me. He had already confessed his love for me when I was born," Akash whispered.

"And the last time also. Never going to speak like this if I get such stupid reactions from you both," Arnav said in stern tone, back to his ASR mode.

"Seriously bhai.. You ruined such a beautiful emotional moment of 3A Team," Akash pouted.

"He always does this.. Always gives me hope and break my heart! See you had to confess your love for me exactly the day you're going to marry Khushi again?" Aman threw a bunch of office papers to Arnav's face, making his eyes go wide as he uttered, "What the.. What's wrong with you Aman?"

"I'm going," Aman stood up quickly, "Go and prepare for your suhag raat with Khushi. I will handle everything here in office," he said and ran away from Arnav's cabin.

"Come back here. How dare you throw papers at me? You're fired!" Arnav shouted in disbelief.

Arnav glared at Akash chuckling silently enjoying the drama. Akash immediately sat straight when his eyes fell on Arnav who was watching his moves, "Sorry bhai!"

"Unbelievable! Can you call your soon to be wife and ask her if the decorations are done?" Arnav asked.

"I talked with Payal already Bhai. Don't worry the decorations and food are ready. They are just waiting for Shyam to bring Khushi so that they can help her get dressed," Akash said.

"And what excuse they're going to give to Khushi when she asks why are they making her dressed like a bride?" Arnav asked.

"Since Khushi thinks tonight we're having a family dinner at her home, her mother will dramatically convince her and Payal to get dressed well in front of their in laws. If Khushi refuses to wear that lehenga, then her father will enter the scene and emotionally blackmail them to wear those lehengas," Akash said.

"Okay.. Hope this works out! This surprise wedding shouldn't be spoiled at all," Arnav said.

"It won't Bhai.. Khushi bhabhi will be so happy with this surprise," Akash smiled happily.

"Yes," Arnav smiled faintly, "She refused to get married again as she believes that having me by her side is enough, but I had promised a dreamy marriage for her and I've to fulfill my promise at any cost."

************************************

"Hello hi bye bye.. Shyam bitwa why don't you take us to the beauty parlor? Tonight we're going to Khushi's house to discuss few things about Payash's wedding. We need to look beautiful as we're from the groom's side," Manorama said to Shyam who was driving the car.

"Yes yes. Even I want to look beautiful for tonight family dinner. After all I'm Akash's grandmother," Nani said, settled at the front seat beside Shyam, she looked at him and winked.

Shyam smiled nodding his head, "Of course.. I will take you three to the beauty parlor."

Khushi thought Arnav would love to see her look changed, so she agreed immediately to go to the beauty parlor as she wanted to surprise her husband.

Sometime later
Aman's apartment.

"My life is ruined.. I'm making my husband get ready for his wedding with another woman," Aman cried dramatically while cutting Arnav's hair.

Arnav looking at Aman glaringly through the mirror of the dressing table, "Aman cut your drama! If you by mistake spoil my hairstyle, I'm gonna kill you today."

"Nothing will happen. I've cut your hair so many times in all these years. I'm an expert now. Did I, as your wife, ever disappointed you? No, right? I will make you the most handsome groom of this world. See, I'm such a good wife unlike Khushi who spends your money with shopping and all, I help you save your money by cutting your hair at home," Aman stated proudly.

"Bhai here's your sherwani," Akash walked in Aman's room with the outfit and carefully kept it on the bed, then turned to the boys, "To keep you guys updated.. From Shyam, I got this information that he took Khushi bhabhi, Nani and Ma to the beauty parlor. And after that, he's going to drop Khushi bhabhi at her parent's home. From Payal, I got the information that everything is ready, they're just waiting for Khushi to arrive to dress her up.  From Papa (Mama), well.. he's alone at home waiting for wedding time!"

"Great," Arnav nodded acknowledgingly, "Aman do it fast. I want to freshen up as well," he looked up at his friend frowning.

"Kar toh raha hoon na yaar.. Machine thodi na hoon mein (I'm doing it.. I'm not a machine)," Aman pouted.

"Try to understand Aman.. Someone wants to get ready for his suhag raat," Akash approached them, chuckling teasingly on the way.

Arnav rolled his eyes.

"I know right," Aman nodded, "Look at his face.. not even a single drop of tear of regret or guilt in his eyes for betraying us!"

"My eyes are filled with happiness right now because I'm getting married to the woman I love the most.. I don't have any space of regret or guilt in them," Arnav said.

Ouch!

Zaalim!

Akash and Aman reacted dramatically at the same time.

Arnav chuckled, "Enough of teasing me.. Be quick you two. You've to get ready too."

"Yeah.. We know. By the way, do you need some tips for your suhag raat?" Akash asked hiding his mischievous smile.

"Good question.. First tip, don't be nervous otherwise Khushi will be even more nervous.."

"Now only this was left.. two unmarried men giving an already married man who's getting married for the second time advices for his second-first night!" Arnav shook his head.

"I will be a married man soon!" Akash emphasized.

"And I just pray to God to not let me stay unmarried when ASR would be celebrating his third-first night!"

Arnav, Akash and Aman looked at each other after Aman's comment and burst out laughing.

7:05 pm.

Gupta mansion.

"I seriously don't know why I agreed to dress up like this.. Isn't this lehenga a bit heavy for a family dinner?" Khushi complained looking at herself while her parents took her to the backyard.

"Shh.. Stop complaining.. look there," her mother stopped her, gesturing her to look ahead with a bright smile displaying on her lips.

Khushi sighed obeying her mother's words, when her eyes met the beautiful mandap set at the backyard of her house, her husband standing in it whispering something to the priest and her whole family giggling in front of her, she gasped astonished.

She looked back at her mother and her father questioningly, "What is this?"

"It's your Prince Charming's idea. He loves to hurt me, that's why he decided to make me go through the same pain of letting you go again by getting married to you for the second time," Shashi pouted.

Garima giggled, shaking her head, "Aap bhi na.. He loves your daughter a lot that's why he wanted to get married to you the way she always dreamt of."

Khushi's eyes moistened with tears of happiness when realization dawned upon her. She looked back at Arnav.

He was staring at her with a charming smile playing on his lips.

Khushi smiled and walked faster to reach him. She hugged him tightly first, then broke the hug, cupping his cheek with one hand, staring at him lovingly, "You.. you didn't need to do this for me Arnav.. I told you what matters the most to me is having you by my side always."

"And what matters to me the most is this precious smile on your lips," he pointed to her lips.

Khushi smiled brightly.

"You two can romance later.. the priest is waiting. Can we start the rituals?" Nani giggled teasingly, followed by the family members.

Khushi and Arnav composed themselves and looked at the family members smiling embarrassedly.

Few minutes later, they exchanged the garlands and the priest started chanting the mantras, asking them to stand and complete the seven rounds with the respective vows.

While Raizadas, Guptas, Shyam, Aman, Sonia and Aarav were happily throwing rose petals to the married couple.

"Cute baby," Shyam commented, smilingly to Sonia while pinching Aarav's cheeks in her arms.

"Thanks," Sonia smiled politely.

"Waise.. you're cute that's why your son is also cute," he smiled sheepishly.

Sonia widened her eyes not expecting him to flirt with her, she immediately looked ahead to watch Arnav applying sindoor in Khushi's partition and tying the mangalsutra around her neck.

Shyam cleared his throat, "Don't think wrong of me.. I'm not a flirt, main bohot hi sharif ladka hoon."

"You're Anjali's husband right?" Sonia asked.

"No.. We're getting divorced. You're judging a book by it's cover you know.. I'm not like my wife. Trust me," Shyam spoke desperately trying to show an image of a good man to her.

"Okay," Sonia chuckled weidly at his desperation.

"Can we meet-"

Before Shyam could ask her for a date, the clapping sounds interrupted his conversation with Sonia as the priest declared Arshi, husband and wife.

Shyam shifted his attention to the mandap pouting.

Sonia shook her head smiling, finding him weird. Aarav in her arms, clapped happily watching Arnav kissing Khushi's forehead.

"I love you.." Arnav whispered to Khushi, as he closed his eyes taking his own time to let this beautiful moment register in his heart.

"I love you too.. You belong to my heart Arnav," Khushi whispered to him, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Hayee.. they look so cute together," Payal looked at them sighing dreamily.

"I don't think so," jealous Akash and Aman replied.

"Shut up you both," Payal frowned.

"But why do you even call your brother as you live in boyfriend?" Shashi, who was eavesdropping their conversation, asked curiously.

Akash widened his eyes, coughing a bit, "No.. nothing uncle.. It's just a joke.. nothing else!"

Payal and Aman giggled at Akash. Shashi looked at him suspiciously.

Arshi proceeded to take blessings of elders.

Shashi was already crying heavily while blessing the married couple. He hugged and kissed Khushi to his heart content and threatened Arnav to keep his daughter happy otherwise he will surely come up with an idea to take revenge on him.

"Save some tears from your water tank for your other daughter.. she's also getting married soon," Garima teased him.

Everyone laughed making Shashi cry even more as realization dawned upon him, that he's giving his two daughters to Raizadas.

"Bauji don't cry," Khushi was the first one to reach him, she wiped away his tears. Payal side hugged her father, resting her head on his shoulder, "Even though we're getting married, we will never stop troubling you and Amma."

"Right," Khushi agreed smiling with tears in her eyes.

"That's what we pray for.. never stop troubling us," Garima said emotionally, joining the group hug.

Shashi looked at Arnav and Akash and gestured them to join the group hug. Arnav and Akash obeyed. Arnav smile a bit emotional, because for him it felt like Shashi was calling him like a father and the way Garima caressed his cheek when he joined the hug, felt like his mother that he misses so much.

"So I was saying ki.. I'm a lawyer.. You might need me for anytime.. You can save my number on your phone," Shyam said to Sonia.

Sonia sighed tired of him now, "Give me then!"

Shyam smiled readily, he was about to share his number with her when Payal started shouting to everyone to accompany Arshi to the car.

"Unbelievable.. Partner is hell bent on ruining the start of my love story," he sighed.

************************************************************************

"Why don't you eat your food? If you're not hungry, then tell me.. I will eat it," another prisoner asked to Anjali mockingly.

Anjali glared at her, "Take it then. Don't disturb me."

"Calm down.. Why are you getting angry? I was just asking," the prisoner widened her eyes in shock.

"Calm down! You want me to calm down in a horrible place like this.. there my cheap husband must be enjoying his single life and my brother is ruining his life with that good for nothing wife of his.. And I'm here caged and eating disgusting food like this," Anjali spoke angrily.

"You should have twice before committing a crime," the woman said.

"Look who's telling me that.. Dumb woman," Anjali frowned deeply.

"You're also a dumb and crazy woman! Instead of enjoying your luxurious lifestyle with your husband and family, you decided to poke your nose in your brother's personal life and end up committing a crime to separate him from the woman he loves and completely ruin your life. If I was in your place, I would have enjoyed my life and never even think of doing such a foolish thing you did."

"SHUT UP," Anjali screamed making the other woman take a step back mumbling, "Mad woman!"

Raizada Mansion.

When Arnav lifted Khushi's veil to look at her face, he noticed a nervousness and shyness in her eyes for the second time since their first time.

"Nervous?" he smirked.

Khushi nodded giggling, "First night will always have a first night wali feeling.. even if this is our second marriage."

"Don't be nervous.. I'm a good man and you know that," he winked.

"Oh please, good men in this world are like species in extinction," she smiled reminding him of their first meeting conversation.

"You're talking as if it's easy to handle women. You know what, it's easier to handle a laptop or any complicated machine than women," he said in fake-complaining tone.

They looked at each other and laughed.

"I can't believe that time you threw my designs in the dustbin," she pouted.

"Khushi this is not the right time to remember that.. We'll have this conversation some other day," he shook his head as he stood up to switch off the lights making Khushi giggle.

"You say sorry.. then only we will celebrate our second-first night!"

"Sorry!" he whispered while helping her lay on the bed.

"Aww.. I was kidding," Khushi cupped his face, kissing him all over his face, "I love you!"

"I love you t-"

"PARTNER!"

"WHAT THE!"

Khushi immediately sat straight on the bed and Arnav did the same.

"I think he had a nightmare again!" Khushi whispered.

"Where he's losing his bed, his room, his study and I'm kicking him out of this house!" Arnav sighed, rolling his eyes.

Khushi couldn't help but chuckle softly.

He stood up from his bed, switched on the lights and went to open the door, even before Shyam could say anything, Arnav spoke: Shyam your stay in this house is permanent.. Now go to sleep and don't disturb our suhag raat!

"Promise?" Shyam calmed down, wiping away the sweat beads forming on his forehead.

"Promise!" Arnav said serious.

"Pakka wala promise?" Shyam asked to confirm with a smile adorning his face.

Arnav glared at him making him gulp and run away from there.

He turned to Khushi with Unbelievable look, Khushi chuckled raising her arms and calling him to the bed again.

"Sale Sahab!" Shyam appeared again making Arshi groan in frustration now.

"What now?" Arnav turned to him frowning.

"Thank you so much!!! I love you so much!! I will always be loyal to you my entire life," Shyam threw himself in Arnav's arms, then kissed him on his both cheeks making Khushi widen her eyes and burst out laughing and Arnav just stood numb and shocked to believe what just happened now.

"From today now on.. I'm that wife of serials with whom you share a hate-love relationship and we sleep in different rooms ok?" Shyam blurted out in happiness and left from there running.

"Unbelievable," Arnav wiped his cheeks still in shock, closing the door to make sure Shyam doesn't make any surprise appearance again.

Khushi giggled, then pouted: You've too many wives and girlfriend now.

"You're the only one I love the most," Arnav said huskily, staring at her intently as he switched off the lights and walked to her, making her lower her eyelashes smiling.

THE END!
