Here is the first update hope you like it.

Life is harsh sometimes. The feeling of what we know in our head and what you feel in your heart is the hardest battle of your life. But this is life you have to go through every chapter until you reach the conclusion. She had seen the harsh reality being a middle class girl. It's not a bad thing but the hardship you went through was something you don't want in your life. She had only one wish in her heart and that was to make her parents proud and if destiny is in her favour she wants her love back for whom she was dying every second.

Closing the book she leaned back and rested her head on the headboard. Her face was dull and forehead creased. Her lips quiver and nose turned red. She bit her lips to control her sob but the pain that she was going through was much compared to any other thing. She heard a gentle knock on the door of her room.

She inhaled and exhaled in order to calm herself down. After composing herself she granted the person to enter inside. As soon as her door got opened the person revealed to be her weird cum only best friend riya. She was there with her in every phase of her life. She knew her pain, her feelings and her deepest secrets. That is why we need a best friend in our life right? This is the only relation that bound peoples in the most selfless and purest bond.

Riya: avi what is this? Today is your wedding and you are here reading a novel. So unromantic.

She Sighed dramatically at her best friend avni. Avni mehta. Little quiet and innocent girl. She was so naive to understand the depth of feeling called love but when she understood everything got changed for her.

Avni Sighed and looked away clearly not in a mood to talk about anything. Riya excitedly jumped on the bed beside her and smiled smugly at her. Avni frowned but shrugged it off.

Riya: you know what avi you should be prepared for today it will be good for you stop reading this book, cheer up and talk to your soon to be husband.

Avni: what do you mean by you should be prepared?

Riya: as if you don't know

Riya rolled her eyes looking at her but avni still didn't understand the meaning of her unsaid words. Riya looked at her in disbelief.

Riya: dude don't be so naive. Accha today is your wedding right? Avni nodded. Then what comes after the marriage?

Avni frowned deeply thinking about the answer when the reality drowned in her. Avni got numb when realisation hit her to the core.

Riya: first wedding night avi. I know I don't have any right to say something into your matter but one thing I can definitely say that abhimaan jiju is very sweet, humble and caring. You should definitely do something for him. You know what I meant?

Avni's palms turned sweaty. She bit her lips to control her sob that was in a verge of escape. Riya understood her situation and dilemma.

Riya: this is your life now avi. In some few hours you will belong to someone else. Everyone will know you as avni abhimaan rajvansh. I am begging you please don't ruin your life more. Accept this marriage and abhimaan jiju. In fact you are very lucky that you got a man like him who respect you and care for you a lot. Samajh rahi ho na meri baat ko.

Avni was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't utter anything. They heard a knock and avni quickly composed herself. But her red and dull face was evident of her inner turmoil.

The lady in her mid forties entered inside the room. Avni glanced at her and smiled slightly looking at her mother neela mehta. She walked towards them and stood near the bed glancing at both of them.

Neela: seems two best friends are spending their quality time.

Riya smiled and nodded. Avni avoided looking at her mother.

Neela: riya beta can you please go outside for sometime. I want to talk with avni about something.

Riya: sure aunty why not

Avni held riya's hand shaking her head. Riya blinked her eyes assuring and left from there leaving the mother daughter duo alone in the room.

Avni was getting nervous by each passing moment thinking what would her mother wants to talk. Neela sat beside her.

Neela: avni I don't know what's there in your mind. What are you feeling right now. But being a mother I want to say something to my daughter. I know this marriage is your father's decision but you should give it a try. Today after some hours you will be his wife, you know na what he has done for us, how many times he has helped us? In fact because of him your father is alive and  with us. We were so helpless and shattered at that time he came in our lives as an angel. Now it's your turn I know what I am gonna say you won't like but it's your duty towards your husband. Every men has the wish to love their wives not by heart only but physically as well.

A lone tear escaped from avni's eyes followed by many. Neela looked at her concerned and put her hand on her shoulder.

Neela: avni are you okay beta? There is something you want to share?

Avni sniffed looking down then looked at her with her red puffy eyes.

Avni: I got periods today ma

Neela Sighed and take her in his arms caressing her hair and back.

Neela: you must be in pain right?

Avni nodded hugging her tightly. This is what she needed at that time, Her mother's comforting embrace. Neela kissed her forehead. Avni forgot everything in that moment and just closed her eyes drifted into the peaceful slumber.
