They all collectively were seated in the hospital ward and chatting with one another when the nurse approached them.

Pammi: Mrs Oberoi?

Jhanvi: ji?
(Yes)

Pammi: hume Mr Oberoi ko kam se kam 10 din ke liye under observation rakhna hoga
(We need to keep Mr Oberoi under observation for at least 10 days)

Jhanvi: mein unke saath reh sakti kya?
(Can i stay with him here?)

(Yes of course)

The nurse left them to be, and soon after Om stood up and spoke.

Om: hum log chalte, aapko rest karne ka time dete
(We'll get going, give you time to rest)

Shakti: aur Anika ko bhi ghar leker jayenge
(And we'll take Anika home as well)

Jhanvi: theek hai
(Okay)

Dadi: Billu, bags uthaye
(Billu, pick up the bags)

Billu grabbed the two suitcases belonging to Anika, and was lifting them when he heard that melodious voices sing words that brought pain to his whole body.

Anika: mein khud saman le sakti Billu Bhaaiya
(I will take my bags myself, Billu Brother)

Billu's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. Rudra spat out the water from his mouth and began hysterically laughing. Once everyone else came out of the shock, they also couldn't help themselves.
Here Anika was curious, what had just happened? Did she say something wrong? Okay, she admits that in her eyes, he is not a bhaaiya, rather a gift for human-kind. But she didn't want to make it awkward calling him Billu alone.

Priyanka: Billu?

Rudra: BHAAIYA!!!
(BROTHER!!!)

He screamed and again started his laughing session. Here Anika was stressed out, unsure of what mistake she made. She looked at Billu, who was crying inside.

Pinky: Billu Bhaaiya kaha se aaya Anika?
(Where did Billu Brother come from Anika?)

She managed to ask while suppressing herself from bursting out.

Anika: Dadi Ji ne hi kaha Billu
(Dadi Ji only said, Billu)

Dadi: arrey pagli, mein usse pyaar se bulati
(I call him that out of love, crazy girl)

Om: nickname

Anika became embarrassed now, and didn't know how to react, so she simply said nothing

Shakti: uska naam Shivaay hai
(His name is Shivaay)

Anika: Shivaay?

She asked, raising her eyebrows and realising the blunder she created.

Anika: Pehl Gaya Raita
(There's the problem)

Pinky: kya?
(What?)

Anika: matlab gadbad hogayi, kuch nahi, kuch nahi Aunti Ji
(Meaning something has gone wrong, nothin, actually nothing Aunti Ji)

Om: aur voh....
(And that?)

Rudra: kya? BHAAIYA!!!
(What? BROTHER!!!)

He again burst out in laughter, to an extent he started to cry. No matter how many times he said it, the joke never got old to him.

Anika: voh mujhse bada lagra tha
(He was looking older than me)

She looks at him, then steals a glance at everyone, then becomes shocked and again embarrassed. If only she could take back her words

Anika: Oh Bete Ki! Nahi, nahi, nahi, nahi, nahi, nahi, nahi. Mera matlab mujhse bada, not that he looks old, yeh matlab nahi tha.
(Oh god! No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I meant he looks elder to me, not thag he looks old, I didn't mean that)

She mentally slaps herself many times.

Priyanka: Anika, chalte?
(Anika, shall we go?)

Anika: haan, please
(Yes, please)

She fidgeted with the buttons of her cardigan and speed-walked out of the door at a rapid space. Everyone again laughed.

Pinky: kitni cutes hai voh.
(She's so cute)

Dadi: Billu....

Rudra: BHAAIYA!!!!
(BROTHER!!!)

He completed Dadi's words for her, the outburst again came from them. They abruptly stopped when the door opened, and again Anika came through. Everyone's gaze was diverted to her, so she decided to leave as soon as possible.

Anika: voh...bags....bag bhool gayi
(That...bags....I forgot the bags)

When she strode past Shivaay, her gaze was fixed to the floor and she wouldn't shift her head from that position. Quickly gathering her bag from the floor, she passed the strap over her shoulder and returned back towards the door. Not looking, she reached for her two suitcases, but to her 2 rupees kismat, her hand brushed with his. Anika jerked her hands back as if she had felt an electric current pass through her body. Well, it felt like a current, some strange feeling she never experienced before.

Shivaay: I'll take them

Anika: thank you Billu Bhaaiya...... er  Billu....... matlab Shivaay
(Thank you Billu Brother...... er Billu....... I mean Shivaay

She rushed back out. And on leaving the room, she leaned back on the room door.
Let me clear one thing for you all, Anika doesn't have any Bhaaiya wale feelings for Shivaay. It's much more than friends, although they never actually properly introduced themselves to each other. She thought that by calling him Bhaaiya, then her feelings would subside and pass as a mere crush, but she was wrong. The image of his face wouldn't leave her mind. The Billu part, however, was not a mistake. She genuinely wasn't aware that his name wasn't Billu, but Shivaay.

Anika: challo Anika, bhar wait karo
(Go one Anika, let's wait outside)

She said to herself and went out to the hospital entrance. Soon enough, everyone came out and Anika sighed in relief. When they approached, she noticed Priyanka was missing

Anika: Priyanka kaha hai?
(Where's Priyanka?)

Pinky: uski friend doctor hai yaha, usse milne gayi thi. Voh baad mein aayegi.
(Her friend is a doctor here, so she's gone to see her. She will come later)

Shakti: tum challo beti
(You come with us Beti)

Shivaay carried the suitcases and soon they approached the two cars.

Anika: doh cars?
(Two cars?)

Om: aap Shivaay ke saath aao, dono cars five-seaters hai, please adjust karo
(You and Shivaay go together, the two are five-seater cars, please adjust)

Dadi: ghar mein milte
(See you at home)

Anika: lekin....
(But....)

Before she could protest, the five had got into the car and were starting the engine. Shivaay had just closed the boot after loading the luggage, and then the two saw each other

She moved in front and sat on the seat whilst he chuckled. He heard exactly what she said, and could easily depict the feelings in her voice. Pushing his feelings aside, he claimed the driver's seat ans began driving.

Shivaay: so.....

He thought to start a conversation, maybe she needed someone to talk to. No, he just wanted to hear her dreamy voice.

Anika: I'm so sorry Shivaay. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki aapka naam Billu nahi hai
(I'm so sorry Shivaay, I didn't know that your name wasn't Billu)

Shivaay: it's okay, lekin please no Bhaaiya and all
(It's okay, but no Bhaaiya business)

Anika nodded as quickly as her reply came.

Anika: no, voh toh galti se bol gayi mein. Mujhe laga ki aapke parents yeh expect karte hoge
(No, I said that by mistake. I thought that your parents would expect me to say that)

Shivaay smiled, so she definitely didn't mean it.

Anika: varna mere paas Bhaaiya nahi, doosre wale feelings hai
(Otherwise, I don't have Bhaaiya feelings, but the other feelings)

It took her a few seconds to realise she again messed up. Who says that? She literally met him 1 hour ago and she's blurted this out. Is it just a crush like she thinks, or can it possibly be love at first sight. She bit her lip and reluctantly waited for his reply.

Shivaay: kis type ke feelings?
(What kind of feelings?)

Anika: kuch nahi, aap road per dhyaan rakh
(Nothing, you keep your attention on the road)

She turned her head to the window side and looked at nothing in particular. Before she knew it, their car halted in front of a large white Mansion.

Anika: yeh aapka ghaar hai?
(Is this your house?)

Shivaay: yes, aab challo andhar
(Yes, now come inside)

He instructed her as they both got down from the car. Anika witnessed a man taking her luggage from the boot of the car.

Anika: aap rehne di jiye, mein kar lungi. Aap kyu tension lere hai?
(You leave this, I will do it. Why are you taking tension in this?)

She spoke as she walked over and tried to take her bags. But his voice stopped her further actions.

Shivaay: Anika yeh hai Khannah, humare bodyguard aur security staff ka in charge. Le lega yeh, kohi problem nahi hai. Khannah tu leker jao aur upar wale guest room mein rakhlo.
(Anika this is Khannah, our bodyguard and head of the security department here. He'll take it no problem. Khannah go and keep it in the upstairs guest room)

The obedient bodyguard nodded before taking all of the luggage. Shivaay invited Anika inside and showed her the house. Somehow they had arrived before the others, so had some extra time to spare.

Anika: aapka ghaar bohot sundar hai
(Your house is very beautiful)

Shivaay: thanks, tumhe kuch chahiye?
(Thanks, do you want anything?)

Again she hesitated to ask, but her growling stomach forced her to.

Anika: kuch kaane ke liye mil sakti? Dharasal meine kal shaam se kuch nahi khayi, toh thora sa bhook lagri hai
(Can I get something to eat? Actually i haven't eaten since last night, So I'm a little hungry)

Shivaay: of course

He shook his head at her innocence and shyness, before leading her to the kitchen.

Shivaay: kya khayegi?
(What will you eat?)

Anika: maggi bhi chalega. Aap ek kaam karo, mujhe bartan di jiye, mein banati
(Maggi noodles will do as well. You do one thing, pass me the utensil and I will make it)

Shivaay: nahi, it's okay, sirf 2 minutes lagega.
(No it's okay, it will take 2 minutes only)

Anika: thanks

She smiled and took her phone from her bag and opened her contacts app. She was about to press a button but after a long pause, she shut off her phone and kept it on the countertop.

Shivaay: is everything okay?

Anika: yes, it's all fine.

Soon the food was ready and Shivaay brought it to the table where she was sat. He also joined her after serving some to the both of them. As they nearly finished, the rest of the family returned. Anika immediately stood up seeing them.

Dadi: khallo puttar, tujhe toh bhook lagegi
(Go one and eat it, you must be hungry)

Anika: Dadi Ji aapko chahiye?
(Dadi, do you want some?)

Om: humne abhi khaakar aaye, isi liye dehr lagi
(We ate outside and came, that's why we took long)

Anika: okay

The day passed by Anika getting to know everyone. The following day, Pinky was going to pack lunch for Jhanvi and Tej when she found Anika cooking.

Pinky: Anika tu yaha kya kari?
(Anika what are you doing here?)

Anika looked up and saw Pinky coming there.

Anika: Aunti Ji? Mein breakfast banari. Kal Rudra ne mujhe bataya ki sab kya kathe so meine socha tha ki mein banaungi sab ke liye. Mujhe also Jhanvi Aunti aur Uncle ke liye pack karna hai. Hospital ka kaana itna acha nahi hai, toh socha ghar per kuch bana leti
(Aunti Ji? I was making Breakfast. Yesterday Rudra told me what everyone eats, so I thought that I'll make food. I need to pack food for Jhanvi Aunti and Uncle also. The hospital food isn't so nice taste, so I'll make something here itself for them)

Anika turned to the dough and filing for making paranthas, but the stopped.

Anika: jab Papa hospital mein the, uska bilkul mann nahi tha kaane ka. Usko sirf soup chahiya tha. Shayad Uncle ko bhi soup chahya hoga.
(When Papa was in the hospital, he didn't feel like eating anything. He just wanted Soup. Maybe Uncle will be like that and only want soup)

She spun around to get a saucepan but Pinky held her shoulders to stop her.

Pinku: itna sochti tu, chal mein madat karti Anika
(You think so much, okay I will help you Anika)

Pinky also immersed herself in preparations. Once they had finished, they joined the family for breakfast.

Dadi: yeh kaana bohot acha hai
(This food is very nice)

Anika: Thank you Dadi Ji

Shakti: tere kohi jobs ke interviews aaye? Meine pehle kaha tha ki aake Oberoi Empire mein kaam karo, lekin tu maani nahi
(Did you get any job interviews? I told you in the beginning itself come join the Oberoi Empire, but you didn't agree)

Anika smiled at the family's concern. She explained that she had a meeting arranged for the following day. After everyone had a lovely breakfast, Anika, Dadi and Pinky went to the hospital to visit Tej and Jhanvi.

Pinky: Jethani Ji?
(Sister-in-law?)

Jhanvi: andhar aao Pinky
(Come inside Pinky)

Anika: Hi Uncle

Anika generously served the food to them and they enjoyed.

Tej: tune apni choti behn ko bataya, apne loss ke bare mein?
(Have you told your younger sister about your loss?)

Taking her phone out of her pocket, Anika opened the calendar app to check the date calendar

Anika: Uncle, Gauri ke exams chalre hai....
(Uncle, Gauri's exams are going on....)

Pinky: nahi hai, khaythan ho gaye
(They're not, it's over)

Pinky saw the phone from Anika's hands and commented.

Anika: mein kese batao? Itni stressed hogi. Pehle London se flight lena hai, upar se mere paas ghar bhi nahi hai
(How do I tell her? She'd be so stressed out. Firstly she has to get a flight from London, on top of that I don't have a house to let her stay)

Pinky: beta, itna maat socho
(Don't think so much Anika)

She kept a hand on her shoulder

Tej: apni behn ko humara ghar mein rehne de
(Let your sister stay at our house)

Jhanvi: haa, aur kohi bahana maat banao
(Yes, and don't make any excuses)

Anika: thank you Aunti

Pinky: aab jaldi phones karo usko
(Now call her quickly)

Her fingers selected the name from her contacts list and the phone began to rang. She kept it on speaker.

Gauri: Di? Kese ho aap? Papa theek hai kya? Acha mere exams katham hue aur bas results ane wale hai
(Sis, how are you? Is Dad okay? Listen my exams are over and the results are gonna come any moment now)

Anika: Gauri sun,
(Gauri listen)

Jhanvi shook her head side to side, indicating that this was not a thing to say over the phone. Anika nodded and wiped the unshed tears from her eyes

Anika: tu bas jaldi vaapis India aao. Tere scholarship ke vajhe se voh University wale tujhe free mein aane dege. Jab flight ke details pata chalte toh mujhe message karo.
(You just come back to India quickly. Due to your scholarship the university will give you free tickets. When you get to know the flight details then message them to me immediately)

Gauri: Lekin hua kya?
(But what happened?)

Anika: jab tu aayegi, phir hum baat karenge
(When you reach here then we'll talk)

This abrupt end in conversation led to the phone being disconnected. Pinky caressed her hairs.

Tej: Pinky, tujhe pata hai mein aur Jhanvi, Harsh ke saath ek wedding per gaye the. Aur kohi choti ladki ne sab ko dance floor se hataya aur khud naachri thi. Kisi aur ko naachne nahi deti, kyu ki voh chaati thi ki sab usko dekho
(Pinky do you know that me and Jhanvi once went to a wedding with Harsh. And one little girl got everyone to move from the dance floor and she herself was dancing. She didn't let anyone else dance, because she wanted everyone to watch her performance only)

Tej thought of lighting the mood in the room, and his statement made Anika lower her head in embarrassment.

Pinky: Jethani Ji ne mujhe voh videos bejha tha. Meine aur Shakti Ji bohot hasse, uss ladki ke cutenesses per
(Jhanvi sent me those videos. Me and Shakti had a good laugh on seeing that girls cuteness)

After a lot more chatting, Pinky and Anika had to leave.

Little did she know that her thoughts came out vocally, and Shivaay had heard it all.
