Chapter 10

Shivaay's foot rested on the break pedal as they reached Anika's office.

Shivaay: here we are

Anika peered through the side mirror and adjusted her hair. But Shivaay soon held her wrist and stopped her

Shivaay: ese hi achi lagri
(It looks nice like this)

Anika: thank you

Along with her smile came a slight blush on her cheeks.

Shivaay: I'll pick you up at 6:00?

Checking to confirm she would be ready at their usual time, Shivaay realised Anika had stopped in her tracks.

Anika: aap seedhe ghar jaa sakte
(You can go straight home)

Shivaay: phir tum kese aayegi?
(Then how will you come?)

Out of concern he asked, it didn't feel right to let her return home alone.

Anika: voh... aaj mein aur Gauri apartments dekhne jaare hai
(Well... today me and Gauri are going to see apartments)

Shivaay: oh okay

Seeing little to no reaction from him seemed a little odd.

Shivaay: Mein tum dono ke saath aaounga
(I'll come with you both)

Anika: sachi?
(Really?)

Her eyes raised to meet his, and they would have shared an cute eye lock had Shivaay not turned away.

Shivaay: to make sure you're getting a good deal

Anika: toh yeh baat hai
(So this is why)

This was inaudible to Shivaay, since she mumbled under her breath.

Anika: I'll see you then

Picking up her bag, she left. No goodbye. No smile. No nothing.

Shivaay was too busy thinking about her departure to take notice of her current strange behaviour. He drove to his own office, but he couldn't really work as his attention was on something, I mean someone, else.

Back at the grand Oberoi Mansion, the useless son if Tej was roaming around with no goal whatsoever.

Rudra: Kya karu?
(What shall I do?)

The same two words came out of his mouth again and again.

Rudra: Papa se milte
(I'll go meet Dad)

If he were and normal human being, he would have sensibly walked in the direction of the room. But this is Rudra we're talking about. This guy could reach the room without dancing and getting distracted on his way.

Rudra: Papa, aapka ladla beta aagya

Performing his elder brother SSO's signature action to sort his hair, Rudra opened the door. Immediately a pillow was launched at his face by his Father.

Tej: nikamma
(Useless)

Rudra: aab meine kya kiya?
(Now what have I done?)

Like a 6 year old child, he whined as he was being told off.

Tej: exactly, tune kya kiya?
(Exactly, what have you done?)

Hearing no response from his son, Tej knew he was right, again.

Tej: Tu kaam kyu nahi karta?
(Why don't you do work?)

Rudra: see, jobs have this hidden downside; they involve work

Tej: abhe tu...
(You...)

The sound of footsteps approaching the room made him stop, and he was glad he did. After all his wife had entered the room.

Jhanvi: kuch chahiye Tej?
(Do you want anything Tej?)

Tej: nahi, mein theek hoon
(No, I'm fine)

Until he was sure his wife had left the room, Tej sat quietly like an obedient child. He was well aware that she would panic if he wasn't resting, and along with the panic would come an earful of lectures. After collecting some clothes Jhanvi left the room.

Rudra: Papa kuch hua kya?
(Did something happen Dad?)

Tej: kuch nahi, tu batao Anika aur uski behn kese hai?
(Nothing, you tell me how is Anika and her sister doing?)

Rudra: Gauri Di toh theek hai, thora masti karti Om ke saath. Par voh dekhe bohot hassi aati hai
(Gauri Di is fine, she messes around with Om a little. But seeing that I laugh a lot)

He chuckled when remembering how Gauri tricked him twice, and the way Om would be tongue tied in front of her sometimes.

Tej: aur Anika?
(And Anika?)

Rudra: uska aur Shivaay Bhaaiya ka kaafi milta
(She and Shivaay get along quite well)

Tej: humne bhi yeh notice kiya
(I also noticed this)

Following a moment of deep thoughts, Tej signalled Rudra to come to his side

Tej: yaha aao
(Come here)

Rudra shifted closer to the bed, pulling up a stool for a seat.

Tej: har din ke baad, tu mujhe batayega ki kya kya hua hai, samjhe?
(After every day, you will tell me what all has happened, understood?)

Rudra: you want me to spy?

He backed up a little, giving a shocked expression

Rudra: hawww Papa, mujhe nahi pata tha ki aap humse ese kaam bhi karvayega
(Hawww Papa, I didn't know that you will get this done through me)

Tej: Shut up Rudra

Rudra: aap bhi?
(You too?)

As if his brothers weren't enough, his father had to hop on the ever-lasting trend of shutting Rudra up.

Rudra: Anika Di aur Gauri Di aaj ghar dekhne jaare, voh bhi Shivaay ke saath
(Anika Di and Gauri Di are going to see the houses today, that too with Shivaay)

Tej: Shivaay ke saath?
(with Shivaay?)

Rudra: haan, Gauri Di ne mujhe bas kuch dher pehle bataya
(Yes, Gauri Di had told me some time ago)

Tej wasn't so surprised, he noticed some sort of connection between the two from the time they met. Him wanting to tag along seemed quite understandable for some reason.

Tej: paani de
(Give the water)

Stretching his hand out towards the glass, Tej asked for Rudra to hive him something to quench his thirst. Then?out of  absolutely nowhere Rudra asked a random question, which is becoming quite normal for him to do.

Rudra: Papa aapko nahi lagta ki Anika Di, Anika Bhaabi bane wali hai?
(Dad don't you think that Anika Di will become Anika Bhaabi?)

Water sprayed out of Tej's mouth listening to Rudra's suggestion.

Rudra: toh nahi lagta?
(So you don't?)

Tej: Rudra I've known Harsh, their father, for a long long time

Sensing a long and interesting story, Rudra took his seat again.

Tej: Hum usse jaante the, bache se pehle. Matlab Shivaay pedha nahi hua, naa Anika, Om, tum bachon mein se kohi nahi. Jab Shivaay aur Anika chote the, hum aksar milte the. Jab meine Anika ko dekha toh socha ki Shivaay ke saath uska bohot lagta. Bohot sharmati thi, lekin mere saath uska special bond tha
(We knew him, before the kids. Meaning that Shivaay wasn't born, neither was Anika, Om, no one from you children. When Shivaay and Anika were little, we used to often meet. When I saw Anika then I thought that she gets along well with Shivaay. She was very shy, but shared a special bond with me)

Rudra: toh Anika Di aur Shivaay Bhaaiya ek doosre ko pehle se jaante?
(So Anika Di and Shivaay Bhaaiya know each other from before?)

Tej: mile the lekin yaad nahi hai
(They met but they don't remember)

Rudy settled down, trying to wrap his head around the whole thing.

Tej: about a year before we lost contact Harsh had a medical issue, an aneurysm

Rudra: aneurysm, voh kya hota hai?
(Aneurysm, what is that?)

Tej: it's a...

He remembered who he was speaking to, Rudra

Tej: chod, tere samajh se kaafi ooncha hai
(Leave it, it's quite above your understanding)

Rudra didn't reply, he only rolled his eyes. Poor guy was so used to it that small things like this didn't bother him.

Tej: he made me promise that if anything would happen to him, I'd take care of his children

Rudra: isi liye aap chatein the ki Anika Di humare saath ghar aajayi?
(that's why you wanted Anika Di to come home with us?)

Tej: finally tune kuch samajh aaya
(Finally you understood something)

Rudra got up to go, eager with a smile on his face

Tej: abhe tu kaha jaara hai?
(Where are you going?)

Rudra: band baaja ko bulane ke liye, shaadi hori hai naa
(To call the wedding band, there's a marriage going on naa?)

Teen shook his head, his son will never be serious. Rudra got up to leave when his father's voice stopped him in his tracks.

Tej: Rudra

Rudra: Ji Papa?
(Yes Dad?)

Tej: just don't screw this up as well

Rudra: very funny

Rolling his eyes, Rudra left the room to attend the "work" he had to do.

A few hours had passed by, and Gauri was patiently waiting for Shivaay. He had let her know that he was accompanying them. It didn't take much time for him to arrive, and Gauri quickly took her seat in the front next to him.

Gauri: Anika Di aayi nahi?
(Anika Di didn't come?)

Shivaay: nahi, hum abhi jaare uske office pe
(No, we're going to her office now)

Gauri: okay

Once they were on the road, Gauri took out her phone and discretely began typing on it.

Gauri: Sh-

Shivaay looked at her side, seeing she wanted to speak

Gauri: Bhaaiya, can I call you that?

Shivaay: of course

His gaze returned back to the road ahead of him.

Gauri: aapko konsa rang pasand hai?
(Which colour do you like?)

Shivaay: rang?
(Colour?)

Why on earth was she along for his favourite colour? What would she possibly do with that information?

Shivaay: yellow, I guess

Gauri: okay

She went back to her phone and tapped the screen a few more times.

Gauri: do you like dogs?

Shivaay: no, bilkul ache nahi lagte
(No, I don't like them at all)

A shiver ran down his spine remembering the not-so-good experiences he had with such creatures.

Gauri: kese? Voh kitne cute hote
(How? They're so cute)

Gauri sat up, shocked that he wasn't a fan of the animals.

Shivaay: I have a small allergy

He still couldn't figure out what she wanted from him.

Gauri: agar aap businessman nahi hote, toh kya kaam karte?
(If you weren't a businessman then what job would you have?)

Shivaay: doctor shayad-, yeh savaal tum mujhe kyu poochri?
(Maybe a doctor, why are you asking me this question?)

He couldn't understand how and why she had taken a sudden interest in him

Gauri: I just think I should get to know you better

Her untrustworthy reply confused him more, as she seemed to be recording the answers he gave her.

Shivaay: aa gaye hum, tum jaake usse bulaogi?
(We've reached, will you go and call her?)

Gauri: Haan Bhaaiya, bohot time nahi lagega
(Yes Bhaaiya, It won't take a lot of time)

When they reached Anika's office, Shivaay instructed her and Gauri went inside. She immediately went to the information desk and asked the receptionist

Gauri: Where can I find Anika Trivedi?

Anika: I'm here Gauri

She waved whilst descending the stairs and keeping her phone in her bag.

Gauri: challe? Bhaaiya gadi mein hai
(Shall we go? Bhaaiya is in the car)

Anika: okay

Gauri: vese Di, Shivaay Bhaaiya ko konsa rang pasand hai?
(By the way, what colour does Shivaay  Bhaaiya like?)

She ran behind her sister to the car, and casually asked a few more questions on the journey. Shivaay pulled up to the first apartment they were seeing. There the landlord was waiting for them

Shivaay: Good Afternoon Raghav

The three got out of the car and greeted the man waiting for them.

Raghav: Good Afternoon Mr Oberoi

Shivaay: yeh hai Anika aur Gauri, in dono ke kiye apartment dhoond reh
(This is Anika and Gauri, we're looking for an apartment for them only)

Raghav: theek hai, andhar challe
(Okay, shall we go inside?)

Gauri nodded and took the lead behind Raghav, still looking down at her phone.

Shivaay: Gauri ko apne phone se bohot pyaar hai, naa?
(Gauri loves her phone a lot, no?)

Shivaay and Anika trailed behind Gauri, with a fair distance between them.

Anika: yeh aap bolre hai?
(You're saying this?)

The way she sarcastically scoffed made him chuckle at her antics.

Shivaay: sach mein, aur ajeeb savaal poochti rehti
(Honestly, and she keeps on asking weird questions)

Anika: yes I noticed this

Admittedly, she agreed with him as her sister has been asking such random questions at random times. Just the day before she wanted to know what natural scent Anika liked in her hand lotion.

Anika: pata nahi
(I don't know)

She sighed loudly and relaxed her shoulders back

Anika: Now shall we go see some apartments?

Shivaay: okay

They both remembered the reality; she was going to move out. Raghav lead the three of them to an apartment on the first floor, and he hadn't even took the keys from his pocket when Shivaay refused.

Shivaay: you guys will not stay on a first floor apartment

Anika: kyu?
(Why?)

She was quick to question his decision, as it seemed a baseless reason to refuse the house without even seeing it.

Shivaay: bas, baar se acha nahi lagra
(From the outside it isn't looking nice)

In all honesty, she wasn't a big fan of the door itself.

Gauri: Guys is door ke glaas tinted hai. Aapko yeh tinted wala, yah patterned wale glass acha lagta?
(Guys the glass in the door is tinted. Do you like this tinted one better or patterned ones?)

Shivaay/Anika: patterned

Their replies came at the same time, making Gauri giggle and 'record' the results.

Raghav: agle block mein ek aur mast jaga hai, voh dikhata
(In the next block there is a nice house, I'll show that)

As he lead them to the path, Anika narrowed her eyes at Shivaay. They reached the next apartment, and before Shivaay could comment, Anika made sure the man accompanying them could open the door first.

Gauri: yeh acha hai, kitne bedrooms?
(This is nice, how many bedrooms?)

Raghav: vese doh bedrooms hai, lekin uske vajhe se price increase nahi hota
(By the way there are two bedrooms, but the price doesn't increase because of that)

While they would have managed with one bedroom, the additional one was a nice feature. Not only for more space, but so Anika could challenge Shivaay

Anika: 2 bedrooms, isme bhi aap kohi fault dhoondega?
(2 bedrooms, will you find a fault in this too?)

Shivaay: kitchen, voh kaha hai?
(Kitchen, where is that?)

Raghav: yaha, aaye Sir
(Here, come Sir)

Once directed to the kitchen, he tried hard to pick out something he didn't like.

Shivaay: yaha toh sab kuch theek dikh raha hai
(Here everything is looking fine)

Shivaay did panic a little, he really didn't want Anika to go. Over the course of the past few weeks, Shivaay thought they grew close, that there was something special between them. But maybe it was felt only from his side.

Gauri: yeh gharr toh bohot acha hai Raghav Ji
(This house is very nice, Raghav)

Raghav: sirf ek downside hai. Joh padosiyan log hai, yaha kam hote. Matlab ki kaafi travelling karte, toh zyada vact voh yaha nahi honge
(There's only one downside, the neighbours aren't here very often. Meaning that they travel a lot, so they won't be at home a lot)

Shivaay: socho agar kuch ho jata toh? Aas paas kohi nahi hai
(Think that if something happens then what? There won't be anyone nearby)

Anika: kohi baat nahi, phone hai naa?
(No problem, we have a phone, right?)

Taking her phone from her bag, she waved it in front of his face to prove her point.

Shivaay: let's just see other houses, huh?

They agreed, and went on a search through numerous apartments. Somehow Shivaay managed to find a fault in every single one of them.

Shivaay: yeh bed acha nahi hai
(This bed isn't nice)

Disappointed, he analysed the bed structure of another house, making Gauri and Anika sigh in exhaustion.

Gauri: Haye Bhagwaan, Arrey this is bedder, I mean better than the others. Itne ghar dekh liye lekin there's a problem with every one of them. Ese behave kare ho jese aap nahi chaate hum Oberoi Mansion se shift kare
(Oh God, this one is bedder, I mean better than the others. We've seen so many houses but there's a problem with everyone of them. You're behaving as if you don't want us to shift out of the Oberoi Mansion)

Even though she jokingly added on the last line, it rang in Shivaay and Anika's ears.

Shivaay: nahi, esa bilkul nahi hai Gauri
(No, it's nothing like this Gauri)

He was quick to defend himself, making Anika look away from him.

Gauri: mazak tha Bhaaiya
(It was a joke)

Brushing that aside, Gauri turned to see the rest of the house. However, her sister's clear voice prevented her from leaving the room

Anika: Raghav Ji

Looking straight into Shivaay's eyes, she called out for the man, who hurriedly rushed to her

Anika: yaad hai voh second ghar, mujhe voh wala pasand tha. Neighbours zaroori nahi hai, akele hum manage karenge
(Remember the second house , I like that one. We don't need any neighbours, we'll manage alone)

Not once did her eyes shift from looking at Shivaay as she spoke, she wanted to make sure he was listening to her.

Anika: kab ready hoga?
(When will it be ready?)

Raghav: agle hafte ma'am
(Next week Ma'am)

Anika: that's fine, let's go then

Indicating she had finished her searching for a house, Anika told Gauri to come to the car. Shivaay drove them home, and Gauri immediately rushed to find Om or Rudra. Luckily she got hold of Rudra before he went out of her sight

Gauri: Rudra, how are you

She obviously couldn't ask something straight away, meaning a conversation had to be initiated first.

Rudra: Hi Gauri Di, ghar mil gaya?
(Hi Gauri Di, Did you find a house?)

Gauri: haan, ek hafte mein ready hoga
(Yes, it will be ready in a week's time)

She shared the news with the him, and they took a seat at the poolside.

Gauri: so tell me about your brother

There were only a few more questions to ask, but Gauri had already bothered Shivaay a lot.

Rudra: mera bhai... kya pata lagana
(My brother, what do you want to find out?)

However, Rudra mistakingly thought Gauri was inquiring about Om, and he was fully prepared to match another couple

Gauri: acha, uska hobby batao
(Okay, tell me his hobby)

Rudra: voh toh esaan hai, shayri karta hai
(That's easy, he recites poems)

Om was a poet, alongside being an artist. He wrote and recited them very often, sometimes getting on Rudra's nerves.

Gauri: shayri, I see
(Poetry? I see)

Shivaay is a businessman and he does poetry as a hobby? Wow, she never expected that of him.

Gauri: and how is he most of the time?

Rudra: Calm and composed, with everyone

Calm and composed, eh? This is definitely not the tadibaaz bhagad billa that Anika described in her stories to Gauri.

Gauri: aur unka sabse bada dream project?
(And his biggest dream project?)

Rudra: to have his art recognised, worldwide

Gauri: excuse me?

She didn't understand about the whole art thing, business wasn't really an art in her eyes.

Rudra: haan, Om toh artist hai, art hi karega
(Yes, Om is an artist, he will do art only)

Gauri: yeh Om kaha se aaya?
(Where did this Om come from?)

Rudra: kaha se aaya? Mom ke godh mein se. Aapko kya laga, stork ne deliver kiya?
(Where he came from? From mom's womb. What did you think, a stork delivered him?)

Hitting the phone on her forehead in frustration, Gauri looked at him in wonder.

Gauri: I'm talking about Shivaay Bhaaiya

Rudra: I'm taking about Om Bhaaiya

The two were now standing up, trying to make their points clear.

Gauri: why would I talk about Om?

Her hands raised beside her, emphasising the question she had.

Rudra: why are you talking about Shivaay Bhaaiya?

His one eyebrow was raised as Rudra demanded an answer.

Gauri: bas chup chap, jaldi answers bata de
(Just without fuss, tell me the answers quickly)

Rudra: theek hai. Bhaaiya ka hobby cooking hai, bada acha khana banata hai. Office ke maamle mein kaafi arrogant hai, lekin apne ke liye bohot fikar karta. Aur rahi baat sapne ki, usko successful business ke saath ek pyaari biwi chahiye, thaaki voh apna parivaar shuru kar sake
(Okay, Bhaaiya's hobby is cooking, hw makes really nice food. In terms of office work he's quite arrogant, but he cares about his own people. And as far as dreams are concerned, he wants a successful business alongside a lovely wife, so that he can start a family)

When she had finished typing, Gauri trapped a button and waited for the screen to load. A buzzing sound signaled that the page had loaded, so she returned back to it.

Gauri: Oh Bete Ki!

Astounded by the text on the phone, her jaw practically dropped.

Rudra: konsa beta?
(Which son?)

Clueless to what was happening, Rudra thought to ask the meaning of her words.

Gauri: Anika Di Ki ajeeb basha, adaat daalo
(Anika Di's weird language, get used to it)

Rudra: lekin aapne ese kyu react kiya? Kya aapke follower count kam hua?
(But why did you react like that? Do you have less followers than before?)

Gauri: no... just see this

Rudra inched closer to her and peered into the screen she was holding.

Rudra: aapne exams mein 99% kamaya?
(Did you score 99% on your exams?)

He made the comment about the large numbers in the middle of the screen.

Gauri: mera test nahi, Shivaay Bhaaiya aur Anika Di ki
(Not My test, shivaay and Anika's)

Rudra: hawww, Bhaaiya aur Anika Di ne milker cheating kiya aur 99% mil gaya? Jab mein esa karta, toh phir 50% se jyada nahi milta
(Hawww, Bhaaiya and Anika Di both cheated on a test together and got 99%? When I do that, I still don't score more than 50%)

He grumbled before Gauri soon shut him up.

Gauri: yeh compatibility test hai
(This is a compatibility test)

Rudra: Gauri Di mujhe bas English aur Hindi aati hai, yeh language nahi jismein aap bolre
(Gauri Di I only know English and Hindi languages, not the one you are speaking)

He tried explaining to Gauri, whilst she just started at him. How can anyone be so... ugh, forget it

Gauri: this test measures how well they will get on with each other

Rudra: in a relationship?

Gauri: exactly

She nodded her head once in agreement and clapped her hands together, partly proud and mostly relieved that he finally understood.

Rudra: don't be alarmed

Gauri immediately got scared, like who says that to someone? He looked her in the eye and then held her hand. The other carefully took her phone and securely grasped it. Soon rudra began to run, making sure she was still with him. As they made their way up the stairs and across corridors, Gauri was still confused in terms of what was happening. She continued to run though, and when they stopped at the door of the room, she almost fell due to speed.

Rudra: Gauri Di, sambhal ke. Pata nahi kyu itni tez chalri thi aap
(Gauri Di, carefully. Don't know why you were going so fast)

Rudra pulled on her hand to prevent her from falling. In reply to his statement, Gauri face him a blank stare which he didn't seem to bother about.

Gauri: Tej Uncle?

Once she noticed who's room she was in, Gauri went closer and took blessings from him

Tej: kesi hair tu beti?
(How are you?)

Gauri: Mein bilkul theek hoon, dharasal hum aaj ghaar dekhne gaye. Joh apartment humko pasand aaya, voh agle hafte tiyaar hoga
(I'm absolutely fine, actually we went to see the houses. The apartment that we liked, it will be ready next week)

Tej: Good to hear.

Gauri adjusted her bracelet, which got messed up a little in the run.

Tej: Rudra, tune Gauri ko ese kyu laya?
(Rudra, why did you bring Gauri here like this?)

Rudra: oh haan, yeh dekho
(Oh yes, see this)

Rudra showed the phone to Gauri. As it did for rudra, the two digits first caught guys eye

Tej: yeh tere marks hai? Shabaash Gauri, yeh brilliant hai
(Are these your marks? Well done Gauri, this is brilliant)

Gauri: Nahi Uncle, yeh mere marks nahi hai
(No uncle, these aren't my marks)

She was quick to correct him, and stare at Rudra at the same time.

Tej: Well, agle saath janmon mein bhi Rudra ke itne ache marks nahi aa sakte. I mean 90 kya, uska 50 percent see nahi banta
(Well, even in the next 7 lives Rudra won't be able to get such good marks. I mean forget 90, he doesn't have a chance with 50)

In hope to be understanding, Gauri pressed her lips together tightly so she could avoid an outburst of laughter.

Rudra: yeh Shivaay Bhaaiya aur Anika Di ke marks hai
(These are Shivaay Bhaaiya and Anika Di's marks)

Tej: kis cheez ke liye?
(For what?)

Rudra: unka compatibility
(Their compatibility)

Gauri: lekin yeh baat Tej Uncle ko kyu batare ho?
(But why are you telling this to Tej Uncle?)

She questions Rudra, turning towards him

Tej: kyuki mujhe lagta ki dono ke beech mein kuch hai
(Because I think there is something between them)

This caught Gauri's attention, back to him.

Tej: doosre raat, voh dono ek saath ghar aaye, bada sajh-dajhke
(The other night, they both came home together, all dressed up)

Gauri: hai naa?
(Isn't it?)

After she enthusiastically replied, Gauri sat down on the bed near him

Gauri: meine bhi yeh notice kiya. Di kaafi lost hai, jab voh Shivaay Bhaaiya se milte aati
(Even I noticed this. Di seems quite lost when she comes after meting Shivaay Bhaaiya)

Tej: meine Khannah se suna ki Shivaay ka office mein behaviour ek dum badal gaya.
(I heard from Khannah that Shivaay's behaviour in office has changed a lot)

Rudra: excuse me

He cleared his throat and then walked towards the two, who had completely ignored him and began the conversation amongst themselves.

Rudra: yeh sab meine pehle notice kiya
(I noticed all of this, what's going on, first)

Tej: whatever

Rudra: mujhe nahi pata ki aapke jaane ke baad voh dono kese milenge
(I don't know that after your going how will them two meet)

Gauri: 500 says that he comes to our place regularly

The guys turned to her, confused on what she said. To them, it seemed as if Gauri just placed a bet. Rudra decided to join and test his luck.

Rudra: 500 ki voh dono office mein kaafi milenge. Jis company mein Anika Di kaam karti, uske saath Bhaaiya ne deal finalise kiya. Saare meetings hoge
(500 that they will both meet a lot in the office. In the company that Anika works, Bhaaiya recently finalised a deal with them. There'll be all the meetings)

Rudra suggested to her, but she shook her head immediately.

Gauri: Di apne office mein rehgi aur vaha manage karegi. Vese bhi, meetings mein kya kar sakte dono?
(Di will stay in her office and manage stuff there. Besides, what can they both do in meetings?)

Rudra: lekin aapke ghar mein nahi jaa sakta. Vaha aap hoge, kabab mein haddi banke
(But they won't be able to go to your house. You'll be there, as a third wheeler)

Tej: 500, for dates

The youngster repeated his last word in surprise

Tej: office aur ghar ke baar, shayad kohi cafe mein yaha restaurant
(Outside both office and homes, mayne in a cafe or restaurant)

Gauri: deal?

The three shook on the bet, and Rudra escorted Gauri out so Tej could rest for a while

Precap: someone's getting married

Gauri: behn ki shaadi hai, kese nahi aaoungi mein?

She lightly hit the bodyguard, Khannah's, shoulder as they both chuckled.

Khannah: Anika Ma'am ko ladka pasand aaya?

Gauri: bohot, first class banda chunna aapne Khannah Ji
