Plot - This part is based, when Vidya slapped Ruhi for getting papers ready for Abhimaan's divorce. Kaveri & Armaan are also present here. Episode aired on 18/4/24.

The Scene starts at the hall of Poddar mansion, where Vidya was scolding Ruhi and Armaan was standing there silently.

Vidya : Ruhi ! how could you even think about Abhira & Armaan's divorce ? Why did you do this ?

(Ruhi was standing there & saw Armaan with a hope that he will say something which was shattered heartlessly.)

Ruhi (firmly) : I did this since because of Abhira, daily fights
take place in this house and I just wanted this family's peace. Also, there is something about Abhira & Armaan's marriage that no one knows & after knowing it, I thought its better that they both get separated soon.

Vidya : What're they hiding ?

Ruhi was going to say but Abhira interrupted her.

Abhira : Maa ! There is nothing like that. Let bygones be bygones.

Vidya : Ruhi ! I didn't expect this from you that to save yourself you will cook stories. Apologise to Abhira right now. Also till the time gangaur isn't finished, you will stay at your maternal home. Abhira was going to say something but Vidya stopped her.
My decision is final.

Kaveri : Vidya ! We should be thankful to God that our children returned safely. I know that Ruhi did wrong but her intentions were pure. She just thought about this family's welfare.

Vidya : But Maasa ....

Kaveri : Vidya ! I care for all my children. Let's not escalate this matter. So, Ruhi won't go anywhere and its my final decision.

Vidya : Fine maasa ! But Ruhi must apologise to Abhira since she even made a mistake & top of that she is giving excuses.

Ruhi : Maa ! I always considered you like my maatashree from my heart & you're also elder to me that's why I respect your decision and I have decided that though I will stay in this house but I won't take part in gangaur festivities in anyway. Also I'm not cooking stories as Armaan himself told me the truth and after knowing it, I thought that its best for everyone that they get separated. It'll be better that they only tell you the truth. I won't apologise to Abhira.

Armaan (shouted): Ruhi ! Why're you stretching the matter ? Just apologise to Abhira & finish the matter.
Even maa is...

Ruhi (firmly) : Armaan you have no right to shout on me. So, from next time remember to watch your tone before speaking with me.

Armaan (while handling the matter) : Ruhi ! I'm sorry for shouting on you. I just meant that you're elder, please just apologise and....

Ruhi : I won't compromise with my self respect in any case. Also, if you're forgetting, let me remind you that you're this family's elder son. So, Abhira is elder to me in relation. Also, maa if you're hurt because of me then I sincerely apologise from you, please don't be angry. But I won't apologise from Abhira and I'm firm on my decision.

Saying this Ruhi went to her room. While, Armaan was shocked listening Ruhi's firm reply as from the time they met, Ruhi never denied his request. But today not only she denied but now because of her he has to take the bull by horns by his hands as she told the family that he & Abhira are hiding some big truth related to their marriage. While in her room, Ruhi was crying recalling the incident happened downstairs. She felt that she doesn't have any self respect in the eyes of family especially Armaan

Ruhi's pov

How could maa slap me in front of everyone ? Would she have done this with her own daughter also ? I didn't feel bad that she slapped me but she could've scolded or slapped me twice in person instead of doing this in front of everyone. I have always considered her like my maatashree, she has every right to scold me. I would never feel bad due to her scolding but atleast she could've also thought about my feelings. But how can I say something to her when my lifeline, my poppy also didn't think about my feelings ? But how could Armaan stand silently, he knew why I did this ? He could've took a stand for me but no he was standing there like a statue. Atleast he could've opposed maa's decision of sending me to B Nanu's house but no he didn't. How dare he shout on me like this ? I'm not his servant that he can speak to me in this way. But this is my fault that I didn't oppose him when he first time raised his voice on me, I should've stopped him there & then only. But no problem, better late than never. Also there is so much difference between Rohit & Armaan when both are brothers, both were given the same upbringing. But then also when fufasa raised his voice on me, Rohit took a stand for me while respecting elders but Armaan is totally opposite he never takes a stand neither for me nor for Abhira, reasoning that he respect elders. Rohit knew to keep his words while Armaan didn't & even in that short span of our relation Rohit always valued my opinion & feelings. He never hesitated to ask my opinion openly but Armaan just knows to give orders. Even though I didn't give my 100 percent to our marriage & never cared for Rohit's happiness then also he maintained my self respect but Armaan is total opposite of him. I know, though Armaan promised me that he will tell about us to daadisa after his divorce with Abhira but actions speak louder than words & his growing protectiveness & care for Abhira and their closeness tell something else only to me. His actions and words never matched with each other. I don't think that their divorce will take place & even if it does, Armaan will come with another excuse to not disclose the truth. I think at my engagement also he just made up a story so that I would regret & tell him to tell the truth to everyone & he would gain my trust by showing fake love for his family and brother. Maybe after his marriage with Abhira, he lied to us that he was obliged to marry her . So, that he could pretend to be the perfect son of this family as nobody was there when he married her & everyone have eventually accepted Abhira. It's my mistake only that I came in his fake promises and ruined mine & Rohit's life and broke Rohit's heart. I know though he never said to me but his eyes always told that he loved me a lot and maatashree always said that eyes are the mirror of the heart of a person. It's my mistake that I proceeded for the marriage, just because Armaan asked me. I should've either asked for some time, even if nobody would've agreed but then too Rohit would've or I should've really tried to move on from Armaan & should've try to accept Rohit as my life partner wholeheartedly. Whenever I tried to move on or doubted Armaan, he would come up with a reason to justify himself as if he didn't want me to move on with Rohit. Don't know what happened to me that time, that I even forgot the difference between right & wrong. But today, my self respect is tarnished which is the last straw of my patience & from now Armaan is nobody to me, I don't care if he gets scolded by his family due to Abhira or anyother thing happening in his life. I'm sure that Armaan will never take a stand for me. I don't care if he divorces Abhira or not but his chapter is closed from my life permanently & there is no turning back. I will tell the world who real Ruhi Neil Birla, now Ruhi Rohit Poddar is.

She burns that photograph & heart which was witness of her love or infatuation for Armaan once, to mark the beginning of a new chapter in her life. She took Rohit's photo & said...

Ruhi : Rohit ! I don't know where & how you're but I wanted to tell you that I really wanted to disclose the truth about my past to you but couldn't. Also, I honestly wanted to give our marriage a chance with a hope that maybe we have a future together but you didn't come. I really pray that one day, you return back to your family atleast for maa & daadisa's sake, they really miss you alot. I promise, I will respect your decision regarding us & if you will want I won't show my face...

Ruhi was talking to Rohit's photo when Armaan barged in her bedroom. He was frustrated & angry on Ruhi as because of her, he had to say a lot of lies to his family to hide the truth of his & Abhira's marriage to convince them that they aren't hiding anything.

Armaan (shouted) : Ruhi !

Ruhi (furiously) : Armaan ! I don't like to repeat myself. I already told you not to shout on me and again you're doing the same. I hope, you haven't forgotten your manners ? Armaan nods no. So, from next time don't barge in my room like this as its not a sign of a sophisticated person. Also never forget that I'm your younger brother's wife nothing else.

Armaan : Ruhi ! I didn't mean to shout on you. It's just that, I was frustrated as all were asking me about the truth of my marriage. You shouldn't have told anything especially when you were wrong. You just complicated things unnecessarily.

Ruhi : Armaan ! I did nothing wrong since the relation which is going to be broken in future should be broken as soon as possible, before it gives hope to people. While, yours & Abhira's relation has already given hopes to many people here. Also, I didn't complicate the matter but sorted it as after your contract marriage will be over, eventually everyone will get to know the truth and they will be heartbroken. But if they will know it now, they will be sad. In these many months, I've definitely understood that this family makes relation by heart. They're already getting attached to Abhira which isn't good. But I can't take the decision, as its your call.

Armaan : I understand Ruhi ! But you also understand....

Armaan moved to hug her but she moved backwards.

Ruhi : Armaan ! I thought a lot and finally realised that I never loved you instead it was an infatuation. I'm sorry for taking your time & troubling you but I promise that from now, I won't interfere in your life or disturb you in anyway. I don't care if you will divorce Abhira or not as it's your life.
So, decision should also be yours. But yes, do give yourself a chance to be happy.

Armaan : Ruhi ! If you're upset due to what happened today then I will talk with Abhira. I just want your happiness...

Ruhi : No ! Armaan it's not needed. I hope you will respect the set boundaries. Also I'm happy with my own decision.

Abhira came there to talk with Ruhi.

Abhira : Ruhi ! I ...

Armaan : Abhira ! Why did you tell about all this to maa ? I told you not to. We discussed about this once, then also you wanted to discuss, we did it. I thought now you won't stretch this matter but you proved me wrong & told maa.

Abhira : Armaan ! You can't shout on me and you also told her the truth about our marriage....

Ruhi (firmly) : This is my room. So, kindly you both go to your room & solve this matter like any other mature married couple. Leave my room I need to change.

Abhira : Why ? Are you going somewhere ?

Ruhi : Yeah ! I'm going to temple.

Abhira : Ruhi ! I ....

Ruhi : Go fast, I'm getting late.

Abhira goes from the room being surprised that Ruhi didn't shout on her. While Armaan was also shocked as he didn't expect that Ruhi won't even listen to his explanations and on top of that didn't defend him in front of Abhira like always & stayed true to her words. They both were seeing a new Ruhi. Ruhi got ready to go to temple to seek blessings for the new chapter of her life.

Kaveri's Room,

Ruhi : Daadisa ! May I come in. Kaveri nods yes. Daadisa actually I wanted to go to temple. Can I go ?

Kaveri : Ofcourse you can.

Ruhi : I will be late as I'm going to meet my few friends. Is it fine with you ?

Kaveri : I have no problem.

Ruhi : Daadisa can I join b. Nanu's business again ? I promise, I will fulfill all my responsibilities towards this house & family. Also I won't disappoint you.
Kaveri thinks for sometime while Ruhi anxiously wait for her answer, she then happily nod yes.
Thank you so much daadisa. I will join office from tomorrow only. Bye.

Kaveri : May God bless you with all the success. Bye & have fun.

Later, Kaveri tells Vidya & Manisha about Ruhi's decision. They both were happy while Vidya was genuinely happy for her and Manisha was happy thinking that now she won't interfere between Abhira-Armaan. While, in temple Ruhi prayed to God for Rohit's return and kept a pooja for him. She asked god to give her strength to begin a new chapter in her life & stay true to her words. She even donated food & clothes to poor people and books to children on Rohit's name. Later, she went to spend the remaining time with her friends & even shared her inner feelings & latest decision with them. They all happily supported her which made her feel content as they never judged her and spent time with them without any tension. She returned late at night & hence didn't meet anyone from family. The next day she took Neirohi's blessings & was getting ready when Abhira barged in her room.

Abhira : Ruhi ! I need....

Ruhi : Abhira ! I already told you to knock & then come.

Abhira : Sorry ! Actually, yesterday you came late night and I couldn't talk to you. I wanted to talk to you about something important. That's why I came like this. By the way are you going somewhere ?

Ruhi's look

Ruhi : No problem ! But please from next time don't forget to knock the door. Also, yes I'm going to office from today.

Abhira : What ! But you didn't tell anybody. Also I need your help in the preparations of Gangaur as I don't know anything about it.

Ruhi : I already asked Daadisa's permission and if you're forgetting then let me remind you that yesterday only, I announced in front of everybody that I won't part in the preparations of Gangaur in anyway. Also you can ask anyother person in the house they will definitely help you.

Abhira : But I ....

Ruhi : Bye Abhira, I'm getting late & I need to stop at the temple also before going to office. Also tell maa that I have already prepared the breakfast & will return till dinner time.

Saying this she took her bag and went downstairs where Vidya was waiting for her with Aarti thaal. Vidya did her Aarti & fed her sugar curd.

Vidya : May God bless you with prosperity & success. All the best for your day.

Ruhi : Thanks maa.

Everybody (except Armaan) : All the best.

Ruhi : Thanks everyone.

Armaan (shocked) : Ruhi ! You're joining office but you didn't tell me anything.

Ruhi : I asked daadisa & she agreed.
Armaan was going to say something but she interrupted him.
Bye everyone, I'm getting late.

Ruhi went away without even bothering to listen to Armaan. She stopped at the temple & again wished for Rohit's return & did pooja, donated clothes, food & books on his name. Then, she went to office where she was welcomed. She efficiently did her work. While at the Poddar mansion, gangaur was celebrated grandly. The day ended on a good note for all. Ruhi returned from office and everyone happily had their dinner. Later, Armaan tried to come closer to Ruhi with an excuse of talking to her in private with another motive of to make her change her mind but she denied to talk to him giving excuse of being tired. One month passed in a blink of an eye. Ruhi just exchanged pleasantries with Armaan and didn't interfere between him & Abhira. Armaan tried to gain Ruhi's attention & come closer to her but Ruhi always foiled his plans. He sometimes even intentionally barged in her room at night or when she was getting ready. A few times he also visited her office and pretended in front of staff that they're very close and acted innocent in front of her. But she showed him his real place in her life and didn't let him break her resolve. She always reminded him his limits. It's a new day and Ruhi has gone to temple like always.
