Sangeet Mehendi Masti

The atmosphere was festive, the air filled with laughter, music, and the rich aroma of flowers. The women of the house were gathered in a large circle, clapping and singing traditional songs as the mehendi artists worked their magic.

Prachi sat at the center, her hands extended as the artist completed her intricate design. She was dressed in a stunning green lehenga, her dupatta loosely draped over her head, and her cheeks flushed with a mix of shyness and joy.

Meanwhile, Ranbir stood at a distance, his eyes glued to Prachi. His smirk gave away his mischief, and he was already plotting something.

As the mehendi artist finished, she whispered something to Prachi, who gasped softly.

Mehendi Artist (smiling):

"Maine dono naam chhupa diye hain, Ranbir aur Baklu. Dekhte hain kaise dhoondhte hain(I have hidden both the names, Ranbir and Baklu. Let's see how he finds it.)"

Prachi (blushing):

"Arre, yeh zaroori tha kya(Hey, was this necessary?)"

Mehendi Artist (teasing):

"Ab dulha ko toh mauka milna chahiye na apna pyaar dhoondhne ka(Now the groom should get a chance to find his love.)"

Just then, Ranbir walked over, his trademark grin in place.

Ranbir:

"Toh, kya baatein ho rahi hain? Mujhe bhi toh sunne do(So, what's going on? Let me also listen.)"

Prachi quickly hid her hands, pretending to adjust her dupatta.

Ranbir (narrowing his eyes):

"Hmmm... kuch toh chhupa rahi ho, Chikchiki(Hmm... You are hiding something, Chikchiki.)"

Prachi (defensively):

"Kuch bhi nahi, Ranbir ji! Aap bas wahan jaake baithiye(Nothing, Ranbir ji! You just go and sit there.)"

Ranbir (leaning closer):

"Acha? Toh yeh jo tumhare haath chhupaane ka drama hai, woh kya hai(Really? So what is this drama of hiding your hands?)"

Ranbir grabbed a nearby chair and sat down in front of her, folding his arms.

Ranbir:

"Main ek challenge deta hoon. Mehendi mein jo mera naam chhupa hai, woh main dhoondhunga. Aur agar main jeet gaya, toh mujhe ek prize chahiye(I will give a challenge. I will find my name hidden in mehendi. And if I win, I want a prize.)"

Prachi (raising an eyebrow):

"Prize? Aapko kya prize chahiye(Prize? What prize do you want?)"

Ranbir (smirking):

"Ek kiss(A kiss.)"

Prachi (gasping):

"Ranbir ji! Yeh kya mazaak hai? Yeh sabke saamne(Ranbir! What joke is this? This in front of everyone!)"

The family, who had overheard the conversation, burst into laughter.

Babita Chachi (teasing):

"Ranbir, prize toh banta hai. Dulhan ke haath par naam dhoondhna aasaan kaam nahi hai (Ranbir, the prize is worth it. Finding name on bride's hand is not an easy task!)"

Kartik (grinning):

"Prachi, ab toh tumhe manzoor karna padega. Ranbir ki baat ko ignore mat karo(Prachi, now you will have to accept. Don't ignore Ranbir's words.)"

Prachi (pleading):

"Naira bhabhi! Aap kuch boliye na(Naira sister-in-law! You say something!)"

Naira (laughing):

"Kyun? Yeh toh unka haq hai. Tum hi toh keh rahi thi ki Ranbir ji perfect hain(Why? This is his right. You were the one saying that Ranbir is perfect.)"

Ranbir took Prachi's hand, his fingers gently brushing against hers as he studied the intricate design. Prachi's heart raced as he brought her hand closer to his face, pretending to examine every swirl and curve.

Ranbir (teasing):

"Hmmm... yeh toh bohot mushkil hai. Lekin Ranbir Kohli mushkil ka doosra naam hai (Hmm...this is very difficult. But Ranbir Kohli is the second name for trouble.)"

He suddenly pointed at a tiny swirl near her wrist.

Ranbir:

"Yeh raha Ranbir(Here's Ranbir!)"

Prachi (shocked):

"Aapko kaise pata chala(How did you know?)"

Ranbir (grinning):

"Yeh tumhari aankhon ne bata diya, Chikchiki. Tumhari sharmaahat se saaf pata chal gaya ki yeh wahi jagah hai(Your eyes told this, Chikchiki. Your shyness made it clear that this was the place.)"

Before she could respond, he gently tilted her hand and pointed at another part of the design near her fingers.

Ranbir:

"Aur yeh raha mera nickname, Baklu. Ab kya bolo gi(And here's my nickname, Baklu. Now what did you say?)"

The family cheered as Ranbir stood up triumphantly.

Rajeshwaran:

"Ranbir, prize lena mat bhoolna(Ranbir, don't forget to take the prize!)"

Prachi, completely flustered, tried to get up and run, but Ranbir was quicker.

Ranbir (catching her wrist):

"Aree aree, kahan jaa rahi ho? Challenge tha, jeet gaya main. Ab prize banta hai(Hey hey, where are you going? It was a challenge, I won. Now the prize is must.)"

Prachi (struggling):

"Ranbir ji, chhodiye! Sab dekh rahe hain(Ranbir, leave it! Everyone is watching!)"

Ranbir (playfully):

"Dekhne do. Main apni hone wali biwi se apna prize maang raha hoon(Let them see. I am asking my future wife for my prize.)"

Prachi finally managed to free herself and darted toward the house, her laughter echoing through the garden.

Ranbir (calling out):

"Yeh tumhara cheating hai, Chikchiki! Tumhe pakad ke prize lena padega(This is your cheating, Chikchiki! I have to catch you and get the reward!)"

The family laughed harder as Ranbir chased her inside, while Prachi's cheeks burned with embarrassment and a smile she couldn't hide. Prachi decides to go back inside.

Naira, known for her grace and beauty, was the first to take the stage.

"Aye Bikaneri chokri, santare ki tokri

Ghar toh chhudwaya ab kya chhudayegi naukri"

(Hey girl from Bikaner, you're like a basket of oranges

You made me leave my house, now do you want me to leave my job as well)

The crowd erupted into cheers as the music began, and she owned the performance with her playful expressions and mesmerizing moves.

"Kabhi lage Mona Lisa

Kabhi kabhi lage Lolita

Aur kabhi jaise Kadambri"

(At times you look like Mona Lisa

At times you look like Lolita

And at times like Kadambri)

She swirled, winking at Kartik, who watched her with an affectionate grin. Every move was perfect, showcasing her confidence, grace, and charm.

"Haaye meri param param param param param sundari

Haaye meri param param param param param sundari

Sar se pair talak betahasha husn se bhari

Haaye meri param param param param param sundari"

(Oh my, you're the most beautiful woman

Oh my, you're the most beautiful woman

My body is attractive from head to toe

Oh my, you're the most beautiful woman)

Kartik, the heart of the family and known for his easy-going nature, took the stage next. Instead of a solo performance, he involved the crowd, pulling family members into the dance and making it a high-energy act.

https://youtu.be/9vkcYxbGdTE

"Mummy se kya daddy se bhi milaonga tujhe

Arre joh bhi main kahoon"

(Not only my mom, I'll even introduce you to my dad

Whatever I say)

"Tujhe lagta hai kyun galat

Palat!"

(Why do you think it's wrong

Turn around!)

He twirled Kairav and gestured for Naira to join in, but she shook her head, laughing at his antics.

"Tera dhyan kidhar hai

Yeh tera hero idhar hai"

(Where is your attention

You're hero is right here)

His performance was full of charisma, and the audience clapped along enthusiastically.

"Yeh tera hero idhar hai

Tera dhyan kidhar hai

Yeh tera hero idhar hai ... toh palat!"

(Where is your attention

You're hero is right here ... turn around!)

The lights dimmed, and a soft spotlight fell on the stage as Naira and Kartik appeared together, holding hands. The romantic melody of "Janam Janam" began to play, perfectly capturing their deep love and the unbreakable bond they shared.

"Janam janam janam

Saath chalna yunhi

Kasam tumhe kasam"

(In each and every birth

You walk with me

You have to promise)

"Aake milna yahin

Ek jaan hai bhale

Do badan ho judaa"

(That you'll come and meet me here

We'll be as one life

Even if our two bodies separate)

Their chemistry was electric as Kartik led Naira in a slow, romantic dance. His hand on her waist, their eyes locked, and every step exuded pure love. At one point, he twirled her, and they ended the performance with Kartik lifting Naira gracefully.

"Meri hoke hamesha hi rehna

Kabhi na kehna alvida"

(Always be mine

Never say goodbye)

The audience cheered and clapped, and Kairav ran to the stage, hugging his parents.

"Aa ha ha ... aa ha ha ... aa o o o"

As the lights shifted to vibrant colors, Kairav bounded onto the stage with his friends. The beats of "Zingaat" started playing, and the crowd erupted into whistles and cheers. Kairav, always the playful and energetic one, was the perfect fit for this lively dance number.

"Tu saheli ke sang jaake

Restaurant mein pijja khaaye

Dhoop mein baahar bai Thaa bai

Thaa main chugta hoon moong phallee

(You go to a restaurant

and have a pizza with your friend,

While I wait outside,

and pick on peanuts.)

Kairav's personality shone through the entire performance—cheerful, mischievous, and full of life. He pulled a few cousins from the audience to join him, and the choreography included bold and playful moves, complete with lots of jumping, clapping, and foot-tapping energy.

"Naache jhing jhing jhing jhing jhing jhingaat

jhing-jhing jhing-jhing jhing-jhing jhingaat

jhing-jhing jhing-jhing jhing-jhing jhingaat

jhing-jhing jhing-jhing jhing

(He dances going all crazy)

He added his own twists to the dance, pointing toward his parents and winking at everyone. Toward the end of the song, Kairav managed to get even the elders up from their seats, clapping along to the infectious rhythm.

The crowd loved it, and Kairav took a bow at the end, grinning ear to ear. As he walked offstage, he shouted:

Kairav:

"Mumma-Papa ka romance hua, ab toh mera bhi chance hai na(Mom and Dad's romance happened, now I too have a chance!)"

Everyone burst into laughter, and Naira facepalmed, pretending to scold him while Kartik chuckled proudly.

The lights dimmed, and a spotlight focused on Namrata as she walked gracefully onto the stage, dressed in a stunning lehenga with sparkling embellishments. As the beats of "Desi Girl" began, the crowd started cheering loudly.

https://youtu.be/wDIrpvH8MzE

"Jhumka gira de

Joh mila le agar woh nazar se nazar mita de

Nachke dikha de

Sabki dhadkan bhi kadam se kadam mila de"

(She'll drop her earings

If her eyes connect with my eyes, then I'm gone

When she dances

Her steps match with the heartbeats of everyone)

Namrata, with her elegance and charm, began her performance, owning the stage like the queen she was.

"Lehron si chaal ke jaal bicha ke

Dil ko yoon behaal bana de

Sare deewane maane

Na dekhi koi aaisi girl"

(Walking like the waves, she'll lay a trap

She'll make the heart helpless

All the lovers agree that

They haven't seen a girl like her)

Her dance moves perfectly combined grace with confidence, reflecting her independent yet fun-loving personality.

"Na dekhi koi aaisi girl

Dekhi lakh lakh pardesi girl

Ain't nobody like my desi girl

Dekhi lakh lakh pardesi girl"

(They haven't seen a girl like her

We've seen millions of foreign girls

Ain't nobody like my Indian girl

We've seen millions of foreign girls)

Namrata moved around the stage, twirling with poise, while playfully interacting with her family members.

"Sab toh soni saadi desi girl

Who's the hottest girl in the world"

(But an Indian girl is the most beautiful

Who's the hottest girl in the world)

She pointed to her Mummy,Babita during the line "Desi girl!" making everyone laugh. Her energy radiated throughout the performance as she owned every beat with her confident yet graceful style.

"My desi girl, my desi girl

Thumka lagaike she'll rock your world

My desi girl, my desi girl"

(My Indian girl, my Indian girl

She'll dance and rock your world

My Indian girl, my Indian girl)

Toward the end of the song, Namrata invited her Jiji, Prachi, onto the stage for the final chorus. The two sisters shared a light-hearted moment, dancing together and laughing as the song ended with a bang.

"My desi girl, my desi girl

Girl, girl, girl, girl, girl"

(My Indian girl, my Indian girl

Girl, girl, girl, girl, girl)

As she finished, Namrata took a dramatic bow and said:

Namrata:

"Ab bataiye, kaun hai asli desi girl? Prachi jiji ya main(Now tell me, who is the real desi girl? Prachi sister or me?)"

The audience clapped and hooted in response, with Raj and Babita proudly declaring:

Raj: "Hamari Namrata ki baat hi alag hai, bilkul desi girl style(Our Namrata is different, absolutely desi girl style!)"

Little did Namrata know that someone would soon find this desi girl completely irresistible.

The lights flickered to life as Raj stepped onto the stage, his confidence apparent in every step. With a mischievous grin and a wink to the crowd, he kicked off his performance with the energetic classic "I Am A Disco Dancer."

https://youtu.be/BhS8ngubgTk

"I am a disco dancer

I am a disco dancer"

Raj's vintage charm combined with his sharp moves made him the life of the party. He swayed, spun, and even did some signature disco poses, pulling off the iconic 80s style effortlessly. The audience clapped along to the beats, impressed by his timeless energy.

"I am a disco dancer

Zindagi mera gaana

Main issi ka deewana"

(I am a disco dancer

Singing is my life

I'm crazy for it)

Raj added some playful moves to engage his family, and when the chorus hit, he twirled with Namrata and Prachi, showing off his groove.

"Toh jhoomo, toh naacho

Aao mere saath naacho gaao"

(So sway, so dance

Come, sing and dance with me)

His dance was all about fun, confidence, and a little bit of nostalgia. As the music played, he threw in a dramatic jump and landed perfectly, causing the crowd to erupt in applause.

"I am a disco dancer

I am a disco dancer"

Raj (laughing, after the performance):

"Mujhe laga ek disco dancer hi hoon, par yeh to main sabko dikhata hoon(I thought I was just a disco dancer, but I will show everyone this!)"

As the music shifted to a more traditional, classical beat, Babita gracefully stepped onto the stage. The lights softened, and the rhythm of the "Mohe Panghat Pe" melody echoed through the hall, instantly setting the mood for her classical dance performance.

https://youtu.be/gqPQEWZ82EY

"Mohe panghat pe Nandlal chhed gayo re

Mohe panghat pe"

(Krishna teased me at the river bank and left

At the river bank)

Babita, with her elegant posture and poised expressions, began her Kathak dance, her movements fluid and mesmerizing.

"Mori nazuk kalaiyan marod gayo re

Mori nazuk kalaiyan marod gayo re"

(He twisted my delicate wrists and left

He twisted my delicate wrists and left)

She wore a stunning lehenga, and her ghungroos chimed with every step.

"Mohe panghat pe

Mohe panghat pe Nandlal chhed gayo re

Mohe panghat pe"

(At the river bank

Krishna teased me at the river bank and left

At the river bank)

Her intricate footwork, precise spins, and graceful arm movements spoke of years of training and experience in the classical art form.

"Kankari mohe maari, gagariya phod daali

Haaye gagariya phod daali

Ho kankari mohe maari, gagariya phod daali"

(He threw a stone and broke my water pot

Oh my, he broke my water pot

He threw a stone and broke my water pot)

The performance was a beautiful blend of grace, devotion, and subtle expressions. Babita's face, adorned with a serene smile, conveyed the emotions of the song, and every movement felt like poetry in motion.

"Haaye gagariya phod daali

Ho gagariya phod daali

Mori saree anari bhigoye gayo re"

(Oh my, he broke my water pot

He broke my water pot

That novice one drenched my saree and left)

Her dance was not just a performance; it was a visual story of love, longing, and devotion.

"Mori saree anari bhigoye gayo re

Mohe panghat pe"

(That novice one drenched my saree and left

At the river bank)

The audience watched in awe as Babita performed a series of intricate spins, the ghoongroos on her ankles ringing out with each step. She held her pallu delicately in one hand, her other hand gracefully performing mudras that added a layer of elegance to the performance.

"Mohe panghat pe Nandlal chhed gayo re

Mohe panghat pe"

(Krishna teased me at the river bank and left

At the river bank)

She incorporated traditional expressions — her eyes, the subtle tilts of her head, and the graceful sways of her body conveyed the emotions of the song beautifully, telling the story of a woman longing for her lover at the riverbank.

"Nainon se jaadu kiya, jiyara moh liya

Haaye jiyara moh liya

Nainon se jaadu kiya, jiyara moh liya"

(He did magic with his eyes and stole my heart

Oh my, stole my heart

He did magic with his eyes and stole my heart)

As the song built to its climax, Babita did a slow, mesmerizing spin, creating a whirling motion that captivated everyone.

"Haaye jiyara moh liya

Ho jiyara moh liya"

(Oh my, stole my heart

Stole my heart)

Her movements were so precise and graceful that it was as if time had slowed down, and for those few moments, all the guests could feel the deep emotion Babita had poured into her dance.

"Mora ghunghta nazariyo se todh gayo re

Mora ghunghta nazariyo se todh gayo re

Mohe panghat aji haan"

(He lifted my veil, saw me with his eyes and left

He lifted my veil, saw me with his eyes and left

Yes, at the river bank)

Babita (breathless, smiling after the performance):

"Classical dance humare rishte ki tarah hoti hai — dhairya, samajh, aur pyaar se bhara(Classical dance is like our relationships — full of patience, understanding, and love.)"

The entire room was silent, awestruck by the beauty and grace she had shown. Raj, watching from the sidelines, couldn't take his eyes off her, his heart swelling with admiration.

Raj (softly, as he clapped):

"Tum hamesha meri zindagi mein ek rang aur roshni ki tarah rahi ho, Babita(You have always been like a color and light in my life, Babita.)"

The guests stood up, clapping warmly, as Babita gracefully bowed and exited the stage. Her classical performance left everyone enchanted, a timeless tribute to the art form and the love she shared with Raj.

The music shifted to a soft, romantic melody as Raj and Babita prepared for their performance together. They shared a smile as the classic "Keh Do Ke Tum" began.

https://youtu.be/dzum9ZT_gVQ

"Keh do ke tum ho meri warna

Jeena nahi mujhe hai marna"

(Tell me that you're mine, or else

I don't want to live, I want to die)

Raj, with his charming elegance, and Babita, with her timeless beauty, made the perfect pair.

"Dekho kabhi na aisa kehna

Dekho kabhi na aisa karna"

(Don't you ever say this again

Don't you ever do this again)

They moved in sync, slowly twirling and sharing sweet moments on the stage, their chemistry undeniable. Their dance was not just romantic but also a sweet reflection of their years of love and partnership.

"Yehi adaa toh ek sitam hai

Suno tumhe meri kasam hai"

(This style of yours is cruel

Listen, you have my promise)

As the song came to an end, Raj pulled Babita close, and Raj kisses her on the cheek, causing the crowd to cheer and clap enthusiastically.

Raj (whispering to Babita, after the performance):

"Kabhi socha nahi tha ki hamara yeh pyaar aise stage tak aayega(We never thought that our love would reach such a stage.)"

Babita (softly, with a smile):

"Mujhe laga tha, par tumhare saath har din ek nayi kahani hai(I thought so, but with you every day is a new story.)"

The applause continued as they embraced, a beautiful couple whose love had only grown with time.

As the stage cleared after Raj and Babita's classical-romantic duet, the emcee announced:

Emcee:

"Ab ek khaas performance hone waali hai—ek aise insaan ki taraf se jo hamesha shant rehte hain, lekin andar se ek rockstar hain. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Naitik Kohli (Now a special performance is about to happen—from a man who is always quiet, but is a rockstar on the inside. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Naitik Kohli!)"

The crowd erupted into cheers, and Kartik stood up, whistling loudly for his father.

Naitik, dressed in a regal sherwani with a slight modern twist, stepped onto the stage, a bit shy but smiling warmly. The music started with a soft instrumental, and Naitik looked at Akshara's framed photo in the audience, giving her a subtle nod before addressing everyone.

Naitik (softly):

"Yeh gaana meri Akshara ke liye hai. Jab bhi main kuch karna chahoon, unki yaadon se mujhe hamesha himmat milti hai. Aur yeh meri family ke liye bhi hai, jo meri duniya hai(This song is for my Akshara. Whenever I want to do something, her memories always give me courage. And this is also for my family, who is my world.)"

As the beat kicked in, Naitik began singing the heartfelt lines of "Chand Taare Tod Laoon" with a soft, emotional tone:

https://youtu.be/N3QzaUwml5w

"Chaand taare todh laoon

Saari duniya par main chhaoon"

(I'll break and bring the moon and the stars

I'll be famous in the world)

His expressions were filled with nostalgia, and his performance had a genuine charm that resonated with everyone.

"Bas itna sa khwaab hai

Bas itna sa khwaab hai"

(I have just this dream

I have just this dream)

Midway through the song, Naitik stepped off the stage and began interacting with the audience. He playfully pointed at Kairav, saying:

"Yaar tu bhi sun zara

Aarzoo meri hai kya"

(My friend, you also listen

To what my desire is)

He then moved toward Kartik and Naira, gently pulling them to the stage.

"Main kya ban jaana chahta hoon

Main kahan kharaab hoon"

(What I want to become

I'm not bad either)

Kartik laughed but joined his father, while Naira clapped along.

"Main toh lajawaab hoon

Main yeh manvana chahta hoon"

(Infact I'm great

I want you to agree to it)

Kartik (teasing):

"Papa, aap toh chhupa rustam nikle(Papa, you turned out to be a hidden Rustam!)"

Naitik chuckled but continued singing confidently, with Kartik and Naira adding playful moves beside him.

"Maan ja aye khuda

Itni si hai dua

Main ban jaoon sabse bada

Main ban jaoon sabse bada"

(Oh my God, please agree to it

I have just this prayer

I want to become the biggest of all

I want to become the biggest of all)

Ranbir stepped onto the stage, the spotlight focusing on him. He grabbed the microphone and grinned at the crowd.

Ranbir (playfully):

"Yeh gaana mere liye bohot special hai... aur yeh mere Dad ke liye hai. Dad, aapko yaad hai? Aap hamesha kehte the ki main duniya mein naam kamaoon? Toh yeh gaana aapke liye(This song is very special for me... and it is for my father. Dad, do you remember? You always say that I should earn name in the world? So this song is for you)"

The stage lights dimmed as the music transitioned into the upbeat, carefree rhythm of "Papa Kehte Hain," a song that defined Ranbir's life before Prachi entered it. The music had a mischievous tone, reflecting Ranbir's carefree, adventurous spirit—his life of fun, late-night parties, and moments of spontaneity.

https://youtu.be/FEvBiayarlc

"Papa kehte hain bada naam karega

Beta hamara aisa kaam karega"

(My dad says that I'll make him proud

That his son will do such good work)

Ranbir walked onto the stage with a confident smile, his posture relaxed but filled with charm. He danced with energy, moving to the rhythm of the song, almost as if he were reliving his past.

As Ranbir performed, Naitik, sitting among the audience, looked both proud and teary-eyed. He leaned over to Kartik and whispered:

Naitik:

"Yeh ladka mere chhote dinon ki yaad dilata hai. Jab maine sapne dekhe the, toh socha tha ki mere bete bhi apne sapne jeeenge. Ranbir ne mujhe kabhi disappoint nahi kiya(This boy makes me remember my younger days. When I saw my dreams, I thought that my sons would also live their dreams. Ranbir never disappointed me.)"

"Magar yeh toh koi na jaane

Ke meri manzil hain kahan"

(But no one knows

Where my destination is)

His steps were filled with confidence, yet there was a certain playfulness in his movements, symbolizing the days when he had no real commitments and lived in the moment.

"Papa kehte hain bada naam karega

Beta hamara aisa kaam karega"

(My dad says that I'll make him proud

That his son will do such good work)

The song was fun and playful, reflecting his wild side—no cares, no worries, just living for the thrill.

"Magar yeh toh koi na jaane"

(But no one knows)

Ranbir twirled and moved across the stage, waving his hands as though embracing his free-spirited youth. He interacted with the dancers, symbolizing how in those days, his world was about friends, and the high-energy adventures he had. But even as he performed with a smile, there was a slight undercurrent of loneliness that hinted he was missing something—someone important.

"Ke meri manzil hain kahan

Papa kehte hain bada naam karega"

(Where my destination is

My dad says that I'll make him proud)

As the song continued, Ranbir's performance conveyed the sense of excitement that filled his life before he met Prachi, but there was a subtle change in his expression as the song reached its peak—he was beginning to feel the emptiness that came with his carefree life.

Ranbir stepped off the stage mid-performance and walked toward Naitik.

He pointed at Naitik dramatically and continued:

Ranbir (smiling):

"Par ek cheez hamesha pata thi—mere Papa ki blessings ke bina kuch nahi ho sakta(But one thing I always knew – nothing could happen without my father's blessings!)"

The stage shifted to a softer, more emotional mood as Prachi took the spotlight. The song "Naino Wale Ne" filled the air, a romantic, soulful track that described how Prachi's life had felt before Ranbir entered it—calm, serene, but incomplete.

https://youtu.be/KrBFjhUvvL0

"Nainowale ne chheda mann ka pyaala

Chhalkai madhushala

Mera chain rain nain apne saath le gaya"

(The one with beautiful eyes teased my heart

The wine spilled

Took away my peace, my nights, my eyes)

Prachi's dance was graceful and slow, portraying the quiet beauty of her life before Ranbir. She twirled in her lehenga, her movements delicate, reflecting her innocence and purity.

"Nainowale ne aha

Nainowale ne"

(The one with beautiful eyes, oh

The one with beautiful eyes)

Her expressions were tender, and each step conveyed the longing for someone who would complete her world.

"Nainowale ne chheda mann ka pyaala"

(The one with beautiful eyes teased my heart)

As the song continued, Prachi's face softened, and there was a hint of sadness in her eyes—this was the time before Ranbir, when she had felt an emptiness she couldn't fill. Her dance transitioned into a moment of stillness, as though she was lost in the memory of the life she led before her heart was stolen by Ranbir. Her dance was simple yet profound, showing that while her life was peaceful, something was missing.

"Chhalkai madhushala"

(The wine spilled)

Her eyes met Ranbir's across the stage, and the emotions seemed to shift—her dance took on a new life, symbolizing how he had changed her world.

"Mera chain rain nain apne saath le gaya"

(Took away my peace, my nights, my eyes)

As Ranbir and Prachi came together for their final duet, the music switched to a romantic, soulful song: "Raabta." The moment their hands touched, a subtle connection seemed to spark between them, the chemistry undeniable.

https://youtu.be/vEe-UgJvUHE

"Kehte hai khuda ne is jahaan mein sabhi ke liye

Kisi na kisi ko hai banaya har kisi ke liye"

(They say that in this world

God has created someone for everyone)

The dance was intimate and filled with longing, as both moved in perfect sync, their eyes never leaving each other. The song's melody conveyed the deep, fated connection they shared—the sense of being drawn together by destiny.

"Meharbaani jaate jaate mujhpe kar gaya

Guzarta sa lamha ek daaman bhar gaya"

(It did a favour on me as it departed

A passing moment has filled me up)

They spun together, their movements flowing with effortless grace as they showcased their deep love for each other through the dance. The choreography was slow and intimate—Ranbir gently pulled Prachi into his embrace, their steps a beautiful blend of trust and affection.

"Tere nazara mila roshan sitara mila

Taqdeer ki kashtiyon ko kinara mila"

(It's like attaining a bright star when I see you

It's like the boats of my destiny have found the shore)

At one point, they mirrored each other's movements, emphasizing the connection between them. There were moments when Ranbir pulled Prachi closer, their faces mere inches apart, their chemistry palpable. The romantic energy between them was contagious, filling the room with warmth.

"Sadiyon se tarse hai jaisi zindagi ke liye

Teri saubat mein duayein hai ussi ke liye"

(The kind of life that I've yearned for years

I simply pray for that in your company)

As the song reached its crescendo, Ranbir and Prachi shared a tender moment where their foreheads touched, a symbol of their deep bond, while the entire hall was immersed in their love.

"Tera milna hai us rab ka ishaara maanu

Mujhko banaya tere jaise hi kisi ke liye"

(I believe that I met you due to God's signal

He has created me for someone like you)

"Tum mere liye har ek pal mein kiya gaya sabse behtareen faisla ho(You are the best decision I have ever made for me in every moment.)"

Prachi (smiling softly):

"Aur tum mere liye meri zindagi ka sabse khoobsurat hissa ho(And you are the most beautiful part of my life for me.)"

"Kuch toh hai tujhse raabta

Kuch toh hai tujhse raabta"

(I do have some connection with you

I do have some connection with you)

As the music played out and the final notes of Raabta filled the air, Ranbir and Prachi shared a quiet moment together, hand in hand, hearts intertwined. Their love had finally come full circle, from the confusion and challenges to this perfect moment of harmony.

The audience, lost in the beauty of their love, erupted in applause, their hearts swelling with joy.

After the mehendi and sangeet ceremony winds down, Ranbir manages to sneak back to Prachi's room, determined to claim his prize. Prachi, still flustered, is sitting near the window, looking at the moonlight reflecting off her mehendi. Her fingers lightly trace over the designs as if replaying the day's events in her mind.

Ranbir slips in quietly, leaning against the doorframe with his signature smirk.

Ranbir (softly):

"Chikchiki..."

Prachi jumps, startled.

Prachi:

"Ranbir ji! Aap yahan kya kar rahe hain? Sab so rahe hain, agar kisi ne dekh liya toh(Ranbir ji! What are you doing here? Everyone is sleeping, if anyone sees-)"

Ranbir (interrupting):

"Prize lene aaya hoon(I have come to get the prize.)"

Prachi (turning away):

"Kya prize? Main kuch nahi dene wali. Aap jaaiye yahan se(What prize? I am not going to give anything. You go from here.)"

Ranbir (walking closer):

"Acha? Toh tumne jo challenge accept kiya tha, woh bhi bhool gayi(Really? So, you have also forgotten the challenge you had accepted?)"

Prachi tries to move past him, but Ranbir steps in her way, blocking her with his arm. His eyes are teasing yet serious, his playful demeanor masking the deep emotions brimming inside.

Prachi (nervously):

"Ranbir ji, yeh sab theek nahi lagta. Mehendi ka din hai, aap bas(Ranbir, all this does not seem right. It's Mehendi day, you just...)"

Ranbir (leaning closer):

"Bas kya, Prachi? Tumse apna haq maang raha hoon. Tumne kaha tha ki agar main naam dhoondh loon toh prize milega(Just what, Prachi? I am demanding my rights from you. You said that if I find the name, I will get a prize.)"

Prachi looks at him, her heart racing.

Prachi (trying to compose herself):

"Ranbir ji... sab dekh lenge(Ranbir ji... everyone will see.)"

Ranbir (smirking):

"Koi nahi dekhega. Sab so rahe hain, aur waise bhi, yeh hamare shaadi ka prize hai. Abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi(No one will see. Everyone is sleeping, and by the way, this is our wedding prize. If not now then never.)"

Ranbir cups her cheek gently, his thumb brushing over the delicate designs on her hand.

Ranbir (softly):

"Prachi, tumhare haathon mein mera naam likha hai... mera pyaar likha hai. Kya tumhe lagta hai ki main tumhare bina jee sakta hoon(Prachi, my name is written in your hands... my love is written. Do you think I can live without you?)"

Prachi's eyes well up with tears, but she doesn't move away. His intense gaze locks her in place as he slowly leans in, his forehead resting against hers.

Ranbir (whispering):

"Bas ek baar... ek baar mujhe woh haq de do jo sirf mera hai(Just once... just once, give me the right which is only mine.)"

He tilts her chin up slightly, their faces just inches apart. The tension is electric, the room filled with an unspoken promise. Ranbir's lips brush lightly against her cheek, trailing to the corner of her lips, and just when the moment everyone has been waiting for is about to happen—

A loud knock on the door breaks the spell.

Namrata (from outside):

"Prachi! Tumhare mehendi ke baad mithai wali aunty tumse milna chahti hain(Prachi! The sweets aunty wants to meet you after your mehendi!)"

Prachi immediately pulls away, her face flaming red. Ranbir groans in frustration, running a hand through his hair as he steps back.

Ranbir (muttering):

"Kya timing hai, yaar(What a timing, man...)"

Prachi quickly composes herself, fixing her dupatta and glaring at Ranbir.

Prachi (whispering angrily):

"Yeh sab aapki wajah se hua(All this happened because of you!)"

Ranbir smirks, his playful mood returning.

Ranbir (grinning):

"Mithai wali aunty se keh do ki tumhaara prize mera pending hai(Tell sweet aunty that your prize is my pending.)"

Prachi (shaking her head):

"Aapko kabhi akal nahi aayegi(You will never change!)"

She hurries to the door, leaving Ranbir behind. He chuckles, watching her retreat with a soft smile on his face.

Ranbir (to himself):

"Prize toh main leke rahunga, Chikchiki. Bas shaadi tak intezaar kar leta hoon(I will take the prize, Chikchiki. I'll just wait till marriage.)"

And with that, he sneaks out of the room, his heart lighter than ever, while Prachi tries to calm the storm in her heart.
