Fairytale Wedding
The morning of the wedding arrived with an air of excitement and nervousness. The mansion was bustling with preparations. The guests were pouring in, laughter and chatter filling every corner. But in two separate rooms, two souls were getting ready for the most important moment of their lives.
Prachi sat on a plush stool in front of the mirror, her lehenga a breathtaking masterpiece of crimson and gold. Naira and Namrata hovered around her, fussing over every detail of her look.
Naira (adjusting Prachi's dupatta):
"Prachi, stop fidgeting! Tumse shaadi ka lehenga pehna jaa raha hai, ya kisi exam ka result aa raha hai(Prachi, stop fidgeting! Are you being made to wear a wedding lehenga, or the results of some exam are coming?)"
Prachi (with her suddh Hindi, blushing):
"Naira bhabhi, main toh bas chintit hoon ki sab kuch thik se hoga ya nahi. Yeh ghunghat theek lag raha hai na(Naira sister-in-law, I am just worried whether everything will be fine or not. Does this veil look good?)"
Namrata (teasing):
"Arre, ghunghat theek hai, par tumhare chehre pe Ranbir ka naam likha hua hai! Kitni baar blush karogi, behen(Hey, the veil is fine, but Ranbir's name is written on your face! How many times will you blush, sister?)"
They all laughed as Namrata held up the intricately designed veil. It had been engraved with the word "BakChiki" instead of "Pranbir," a last-minute suggestion from Prachi.
Naira (mock glaring):
"Prachi, tumne yeh kya kiya? 'BakChiki'? Yeh toh Ranbir ko aur zyada attitude dene ka idea hai (Prachi, what did you do? 'Bakchiki'? This is an idea to give more attitude to Ranbir!)"
Prachi (defensively):
"Par bhabhi, yeh toh hamari kahani ka ek hissa hai. 'BakChiki' hi toh humari asli pehchaan hai (But sister-in-law, this is a part of our story. 'Bakchiki' is our real identity.)"
Namrata (laughing):
"Haan, aur yeh dekhke Ranbir jiju bas haath jod lega ki bhagwan isse bacha le(Yes, and seeing this Ranbir brother-in-law will just fold his hands praying that God saves him from this!)"
In another room, Ranbir stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his sherwani. It was a deep ivory with gold embroidery, perfectly complementing Prachi's lehenga. Kartik and Raj were helping him get ready, while Kairav sat on the bed, swinging his legs and munching on a laddoo.
Kartik (adjusting Ranbir's sehra):
"Ranbir, tu kitna restless lag raha hai. Shaadi kar raha hai, ya World Cup ke final match ke liye ja raha hai(Ranbir, you look so restless. Getting married, or going to the World Cup final match?)"
Ranbir (grinning nervously):
"Final match ke pressure se toh yeh zyada hai, Kartik Bhaiya. Prachi ko sabse zyada sundar lagna hai... par mujhe usse zyada handsome lagna hai(This is more than the pressure of the final match, Karthik bhaiya. Prachi wants to look the most beautiful...but I want to look more better than her!)"
Raj (laughing):
"Ranbir, tujhe shaadi ke din bhi Prachi se competition karna hai? She already won your heart; ab kya bacha hai(Ranbir, do you have to do competition with Prachi even on the wedding day? She already won your heart; What is left now?)"
Kairav, still munching on his laddoo, suddenly chimed in.
Kairav:
"Ranbir Chachu, jaldi ready ho jao. Mujhe toh apni Chachi ke saath phir se ek dance karna hai. Par pehle laddoo khilana padega(Ranbir uncle, get ready quickly. I want to have a dance with my aunty again. But first you will have to feed the laddoos!)"
Everyone burst into laughter, and Kartik ruffled Kairav's hair.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Naitik was busy managing the guests. He greeted everyone warmly, ensuring they were comfortable.
Naitik (to a guest):
"Namaste, aapka swagat hai. Ranbir aur Prachi ki shaadi toh sirf ek rasam nahi, dono parivaar ke liye ek tyohar hai(Hello, welcome. Ranbir and Prachi's marriage is not just a ritual, it is a festival for both the families.)"
He turned to a waiter carrying a tray of juice.
Naitik:
"Juice ka dhyan rakhna, sab mehmaan ko pahunchaana hai. Aaj koi complaint nahi honi chahiye(Take care of the juice and deliver it to all the guests. There should be no complaints today.)"
In Prachi's room, Namrata placed the veil over her head, and Naira held up the mirror for her to see.
Naira (tearing up):
"Prachi, tum itni sundar lag rahi ho ki Ranbir tumhe dekhte hi pagal ho jayega(Prachi, you are looking so beautiful that Ranbir will go crazy the moment he sees you.)"
Namrata (playfully):
"Pagal toh woh pehle se hi hai. Ab bas shauk se barbad hone ki baari hai(He is already crazy. Now it's time to get spoiled with passion!)"
Prachi looked at her reflection and smiled, though her eyes were moist.
Prachi (softly):
"Main aaj apne aap se zyada Ranbir ke sapne poore kar rahi hoon. Yeh din mere liye ek vardaan hai(Today I am fulfilling Ranbir's dreams more than my own. This day is a blessing for me.)"
In Ranbir's room, Kartik helped him adjust his turban one last time.
Raj (teasing):
"Ranbir, tujhe lagta hai tu dulha hai, par sach toh yeh hai ki Prachi aaj bhi sabka center of attention rahegi(Ranbir, you think you are the groom, but the truth is that Prachi will still be the center of everyone's attention.)"
Ranbir (smirking):
"Haan, Raj Chachu. Lekin shaadi ke baad toh uska pura dhyan sirf mujh par hoga(Yes, Raj uncle. But after marriage, her entire attention will be only on me!)"
The stage was set, the mandap glowing under the canopy of a million fairy lights. The grand venue was alive with music, laughter, and anticipation. Yet, every eye was fixed on the grand entrance, waiting for the bride and groom to make their appearance. This was not just any wedding—it was the union of Ranbir and Prachi, and their entry was about to rewrite the history of wedding moments.
Suddenly, the lights dimmed, and a dramatic dhol beat echoed through the venue. The guests turned toward the gates as golden spotlights illuminated a sleek black vintage convertible car making its way into the venue. Ranbir, dressed in an ivory sherwani with intricate gold embroidery and a royal red dupatta draped over his shoulder, stepped out with swagger.
Ranbir (to himself, smirking):
"Baklu hoon, par entry toh hero wali honi chahiye(I am baklu, but the entry should be of a hero!)"
He adjusted his turban, the wind teasing his perfectly styled hair as he walked down the aisle with a confidence that made hearts flutter. Behind him, his cousins, Kartik, Kairav, and Raj, followed, dancing to the beats of "Tenu Leke Main Jawanga" from Salman Khan's Salaam-E-Ishq.

Kartik (teasing loudly):
"Ranbir, dulha toh tu hai, par lag raha hai jaise hero shooting ke liye set par aaya ho(Ranbir, you are the groom, but it looks as if the hero has come on the set for shooting!)"
Ranbir winked at Kartik and laughed.
Ranbir (playfully):
"Shaadi meri hai, entry bhi superhit honi chahiye(It's my wedding, the entry should also be a superhit!)"
As the dhol players intensified their beats, Ranbir paused, turned to the guests, and spread his arms wide, SRK-style.
Ranbir (grinning):
"Yeh shaadi meri hai, aur yeh din aap sabka(This wedding is mine, and this day is all of yours!)"
Everyone cheered as he made his way to the mandap, greeting guests with charm and wit.
Moments later, a soft hum of flutes and violins filled the air, and the focus shifted to the grand staircase at the far end of the venue. The crowd gasped as Prachi appeared, standing under a cascading curtain of white jasmine flowers. She was a vision in a crimson and gold lehenga, her dupatta elegantly covering her head, and her engraved veil proudly displaying "BakChiki."
Namrata (whispering to Naira):
"Bhabhi, Prachi lag rahi hai jaise kisi rajkumari ki tasveer se nikal ke aayi ho(Sister-in-law, Prachi looks like she has come out of a picture of a princess.)"
Naira (wiping a tear):
"Haan, aur ab uski kahani ka rajkumar uska intezaar kar raha hai(Yes, and now the prince of her fairytale is waiting for her.)"

Prachi slowly descended the stairs, flanked by Naira and Namrata. The background music shifted to "Din Shagna Da" from Phillauri, but with a twist—it transitioned into an instrumental medley of Prachi and Ranbir's iconic moments.
As she walked, flower petals were showered from above, creating an ethereal glow around her. Her expressions were a mix of nervousness and excitement. When she finally reached the bottom of the stairs, her eyes searched for Ranbir—and found him, gazing at her as if she was the only person in the universe.
Ranbir (murmuring, his heart racing):
"Chikchiki... tum itni sundar lag rahi ho ki shabdon ka matlab hi khatam ho gaya hai(Chikchiki... You are looking so beautiful that words have lost all meaning.)"
Ranbir walked up to her, holding out his hand. Prachi hesitated for a moment, her cheeks turning crimson, but then she placed her hand in his.
Ranbir (softly, so only she could hear):
"Chikchiki, yeh jo haath diya hai na, ab kabhi mat chhodna(Chikchiki, this hand you have given me, don't ever leave it now.)"
Prachi (with her suddh Hindi, smiling shyly):
"Baklu, yeh haath tabhi bhi nahi chhodenge jab duniya band ho jayegi(Baklu, this hand will not leave even when the world endu.)"
The guests erupted in applause and cheers as Ranbir led Prachi to the mandap. But this was no ordinary walk—Ranbir suddenly turned to the crowd and pulled Prachi into a twirl. The spotlight caught her lehenga spinning, the embroidery shimmering like stardust.
Ranbir (jokingly):
"Apni dulhan ko le jaane ka haq sirf mujhe hai(Only I have the right to take my bride!)"
Prachi (playfully):
"Par yeh haq tabhi milega jab pandit ji mantra bolenge(But you will get this right only when the Pandit ji speaks the mantra.)"
Everyone laughed, their chemistry lighting up the entire venue.
As they reached the mandap, Ranbir signaled the band. Out of nowhere, he started dancing to "Ainvayi Ainvayi" from Band Baaja Baarat, pulling Prachi into the performance.
Prachi (giggling):
"Baklu, tum pagal ho gaye ho kya? Shaadi hai, sangeet nahi(Baklu, have you gone mad? It's the wedding, not sangeet!)"
Ranbir (winking):
"Shaadi ka ek ek moment yaadgar banayenge, Chikchiki(Will make every moment of the wedding memorable, Chikchiki.)"
The families joined in the dance, turning the entry into a mini celebration. Even Kairav couldn't resist and jumped in, hugging Prachi tightly.
Kairav (grinning):
"Yay, meri Chikchiki Chachi aa gayi(Yeah my Chikchiki Aunty is here!)"
The mandap was adorned with marigold and rose garlands, glowing under a canopy of golden lights. The air was filled with the sacred chants of the priest, the aroma of sandalwood, and the palpable excitement of the families and guests. This was not just any wedding—this was Ranbir and Prachi's wedding, a moment the audience had been waiting for with bated breath for months.
As Ranbir stood tall on the decorated stage, looking dashing in his ivory sherwani and red turban, Prachi walked toward him with Kartik, her "bhai," by her side. She was a vision in her crimson lehenga with intricate gold embroidery, her dupatta proudly displaying the embroidered "BakChiki."
Kartik (teasing Prachi):
"Arre Chikchiki, agar tumhara dulha bhaag gaya toh? Mujhe lagta hai mujhe Ranbir se ek agreement sign karwana chahiye(Hey Chichiki, what if your groom runs away? I think I should get Ranbir to sign an agreement!)"
Ranbir (grinning):
"Kartik bhaiya, agreement ho ya na ho, main duniya ke kone-kone se bhi Prachi ko lene aa jaunga(Karthik brother, whether there is an agreement or not, I will come to pick up Prachi from every corner of the world.)"
Prachi blushed, lowering her eyes as the family laughed.
When it was time for the jaimala, Ranbir bent down slightly, smirking.
Ranbir (playfully):
"Chikchiki, jaldi daalo, varna main upar chad jaunga(Chikchiki, put it quickly, otherwise I will jump up!)"
The crowd roared as Ranbir's friends lifted him higher, making it difficult for Prachi to place the garland.
Namrata (yelling):
"Ranbir jiju, neeche aao! Jiji ne tumhe phasane ke liye itna kuch saha hai(Ranbir brother-in-law, come down! Sister has gone through so much to trap you!)"
Finally, Ranbir came down and leaned in. As Prachi placed the garland around his neck, he whispered:
Ranbir:
"Aaj se tum meri ho, har janam ke liye(From today you are mine, for every birth.)"
Prachi blushed as the crowd showered them with flowers.
The priest called them to the sacred fire for the saat pheras. Prachi, nervous but determined, stood next to Ranbir, her veil adjusted by Naira.
Naira (emotional):
"Prachi, yeh pheras tum dono ki zindagi ka ek naya safar shuru karenge. Main bahut khush hoon ki meri behen meri pasand ke Ranbir ke saath hai(Prachi, this phase will start a new journey in the lives of both of you. I am very happy that my sister is with my favorite Ranbir.)"
Ranbir winked at Naira, acknowledging her blessing.
As the pheras began, the priest recited the vows, each filled with promises of love, respect, and partnership.
Prachi walked the first few rounds but started to slow down due to her injuries. Her steps faltered, and the pain was evident in her expression. Suddenly, one of the guests, a girl who had once been crazy about marrying Ranbir, snickered loudly.
Girl (mocking):
"Ab kya karenge aapka Ranbir? Shaadi ke pheron tak chal nahi paa rahi dulhan. Lagta hai dulha galat ladki choose kar liya(What will you do now Ranbir? The bride is unable to walk the wedding rounds. Looks like the groom chose the wrong girl!)"
The crowd fell silent, and Prachi's face fell in humiliation.
Ranbir's face darkened with anger. He stepped forward, his voice firm.
Ranbir:
"Zubaan sambhal ke baat karo. Tumhare jaise logon ko samajh mein nahi aata, par Prachi meri jaan hai. Uski har kami, har taqat, sab mera hai. Aur agar wo nahi chal sakti, toh main usse chalne ki zarurat hi nahi dunga( Talk with your tongue in control. People like you don't understand, but Prachi is my life. Every weakness, every strength, it is all mine. And if she can't walk, I won't let her walk!)"
Before anyone could react, Ranbir bent down and lifted Prachi into his arms, carrying her in a perfect bridal style.
Ranbir (smiling at Prachi):
"Chikchiki, hum pheron ko chal kar nahi, udan bhar kar poora karenge. Tum aur main, har kadam saath(Chikchiki, we will complete the journey not by walking but by flying. You and me, together every step of the way.)"
Prachi looked at him with tears in her eyes as the crowd erupted in applause and cheers.
He carried her for the remaining rounds, completing each vow with grace and devotion.
As the pheras concluded, the priest handed Ranbir the sindoor. He took a pinch of the sacred vermillion and gently placed it in Prachi's parting.
Ranbir (whispering):
"Aaj se tumhara har dard, har khushi, sab mera hai, Chikchiki(From today onwards, every pain, every happiness of yours is all mine, Chikchiki.)"
Prachi closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks as she accepted his promise of eternal love.
Naira (to Kartik, smiling):
"Ab toh hamari Chikchiki dulhan ban gayi(Now our chikchiki has become the bride!)"
Kartik (teasing Ranbir):
"Ranbir, ab meri behen ka khayal rakhna, varna main tumhe nahi chhodunga(Ranbir, now take care of my sister, otherwise I will not leave you!)"
Ranbir took out the mangalsutra, the one he had designed secretly, a masterpiece symbolizing their journey. The delicate gold chain had tiny charms representing their milestones—her engraved "Pranbir," an infinity symbol for their everlasting love, and a heart for their love for each other.

Ranbir (to Prachi):
"Chikchiki, yeh sirf ek mangalsutra nahi hai. Yeh meri commitment hai ki tum meri zindagi ka hamesha ka hissa ho(Chikchiki, this is not just a mangalsutra. It is my commitment that you will be a part of my life forever.)"
Kanthe bhagna nishu bhage

As he tied it around her neck, the crowd cheered, showering them with flowers. Prachi looked up at him, her eyes shining with love and gratitude.

Dhavani watches as Ranbir ties the mangalsutra around Prachi's neck, her trembling hands clasping her own dupatta tightly.

A flashback of her dreams with Ranbir – twirling in a field, laughing over coffee, imagining their future – plays in her mind.
As the ceremonies concluded, Ranbir and Prachi stood before their families, officially husband and wife. Kairav ran to hug them both, shouting:
Kairav:
"Yay! Meri Prachi chachi aur Ranbir chachu ab ek saath hai(Yay! My Prachi aunty and Ranbir uncle are together now!)"
Naira and Namrata wiped their tears as Kartik patted Ranbir's back.

Kartik (smirking):
"Prachi, officially welcome to the mad house!"
Ranbir (grinning):
"Kartik bhaiya, iss mad house ka raja main hoon, aur meri rani Chikchiki(Kartik brother, I am the king of this Mad House, and my queen is Chikchiki.)"
Prachi laughed softly, her hands still clasped in Ranbir's as they faced their future together.
The audience, like the guests, was left teary-eyed and smiling, knowing they had witnessed not just a wedding but the perfect celebration of love, strength, and commitment.
The atmosphere is lively and festive. The grand hall is decorated with marigold garlands, fairy lights, and a bustling crowd of family and friends. The ritual of joote chhupai is about to begin, and the air is charged with excitement. Ranbir and Prachi are at the center of the hall, but all eyes are on the shoes.
Enter Dhruv, Ranbir's mischievous cousin, a charming and handsome young man with a cheeky smile and a twinkle in his eye. He's just arrived, and the moment he spots the ongoing drama, he jumps right in.
Dhruv (to Ranbir, nudging him):
"Arey Ranbir bhaiya, yeh kya ho raha hai? Joote ka shor ho raha hai! Mujhe toh lagta hai, yeh meri entry ka perfect time hai(Hey Ranbir brother, what is happening? The shoes are making noise! I think this is the perfect time for my entry.)"
Ranbir (smirking):
"Dhruv, tere bina toh shaadi adhoori lag rahi thi. Ja, apna jaadu chala. Waise bhi, yeh ladkiyan toh joote le jaane ke liye ready hain(Dhruv, the marriage seemed incomplete without you. Go, work your magic. Anyway, these girls are ready to take away the shoes.)"
Dhruv (grinning):
"Joote aur ladkiyan? Perfect combination. Main aata hoon inki taang kheenchne(Shoes and girls? Perfect combination. I am coming to pull their leg!)"
Dhruv swaggers over to the group of girls, where Namrata, the stunning and feisty sister-in-law, is leading the charge. She's surrounded by her gang of cousins and friends, ready to steal Ranbir's shoes.
Namrata (mocking Dhruv):
"Oho, naye ladke ki entry hui hai. Kya karoge, hero banoge? Shoes toh humare paas hi jaayenge(Oh, a new boy has entered. What will you do, become a hero? The shoes will definitely come to us.)"
Dhruv (raising an eyebrow, folding his arms):
"Hero hoon, lekin villain banne mein bhi mazaa aata hai. Tumhaare joote toh hum bacha kar rahenge(I am a hero, but it is fun to be a villain too. We will save your shoes!)"
The music starts, and the teasing game escalates. The song "Joote Do Paise Lo" plays in the background, and the entire family gets involved.

Dhavani (smirking):

Dhruv dives for the shoes but only manages to grab the dupatta covering them.
Dhruv (mock-frustrated):
"Yeh kya dhokha hai? Dupatta yaahan hai, shoes kahaan hain(What fraud is this? The scarf is here, where are the shoes?)"
Namrata (teasing):
"Arre baba, shoes toh yahaan hain! Aa ke le lo(Hey Baba, the shoes are here! Come and get it!)"

As Namrata runs, Dhruv chases her, determined to save the shoes for the boys. She's quick and clever, but Dhruv is agile. Just as he's about to catch up, he accidentally steps onto her roller-skates, which were left lying nearby.

Dhruv (dramatically):

Namrata, seizing the opportunity, runs ahead with the shoes. But as Dhruv's trajectory continues, he crashes into her room and falls onto the bed—right on top of her!
Ni Sa Re Ga Re Sa Re Ga Re Sa Re
Namrata, startled, stares at Dhruv as he steadies himself, his face inches from hers. For a moment, everything goes still. Dhruv, now realizing how close he is to her, freezes.

Namrata (glaring, breathless):
"Tum... tum kya kar rahe ho yahan(You... what are you doing here?)"

Dhruv (grinning, trying to play it cool):
"Main toh bas shoes bachaane aaya tha. Bed pe girna toh bas... bonus tha(I just came to save shoes. Falling on the bed was just...a bonus.)"
Ni Sa Re Ga Re Sa Re Ga Re Sa Sa
Namrata tries to push him off, but Dhruv grabs her wrist gently.
Dhruv (smirking):
"Ab toh yeh shoes mere hain(Now these shoes are mine.)"
Namrata narrows her eyes, determined not to lose. She uses her free hand to grab the shoes and yanks them away, breaking free.
Namrata rushes back to the girls with the shoes, triumphant. Dhruv watches her go, a mixture of amusement and admiration on his face. The girls cheer as they win the joote chhupai, collecting their money from Ranbir and the boys.

Ranbir nudges Dhruv, noticing him staring at Namrata.
Ranbir (teasing):
"Kya baat hai, Dhruv? Nazar hata nahi pa rahe ho(What's the matter, Dhruv? Can't look away?)"
Dhruv (smirking):
"Kaun hai yeh ladki, bhai? Pehli baar kisi ke liye dil dhadak raha hai(Who is this girl, brother? My heart is beating for someone for the first time.)"
Ranbir (laughing):
"Ladki ka naam hai Namrata. Lekin warning deta hoon—woh kisi ko asaani se nahi milegi(The girl's name is Namrata. But I am warning you – she will not come easily to anyone.)"
Dhruv (determined):
"Challenge accepted."
As the scene ends, the family laughs and celebrates, while Dhruv keeps stealing glances at Namrata, knowing that this is just the beginning of their story.
