Truth About the Past
The atmosphere is tense, heavy with expectations. Family members are gathered, discussing the upcoming engagement of Ranbir and Dhavani, though neither truly feels the warmth of celebration.
Dhavani is sitting on the couch, fidgeting with her delicate fingers, her thoughts far away. Her gaze is on Ranbir, but her mind is elsewhere — she has always dreamed of a life with him, and now, after all these years of pain, she's beginning to feel the old stirrings of affection again. Yet, she can't ignore the deep loneliness she feels, especially after her mother's death. Her father's stern, controlling demeanor has left her emotionally starved, and Ranbir's presence, while not the love she once dreamed of, begins to offer a sort of comfort.
She watches him, and the smallest of smiles touches her lips.
Dhavani (to herself, softly): "Shayad jo kuch bhi tha, vo sach mein pyaar nahi tha... Par aaj bhi mujhe lagta hai ki aaj bhi kuch hai... kuch jo hum dono ke beech tha(Maybe whatever was there was not true love... But even today, I feel like there's something... something that existed between us.)"
Ranbir, meanwhile, is sitting on the other side of the room, his mind far from the wedding plans. His eyes are distant, his focus lost. He feels as though he's suffocating — his heart still belongs to Prachi. It was never supposed to be this way, and yet here he is, caught in a web of family expectations, forced into a marriage he doesn't want, especially not when it's so clear that Dhavani's feelings for him are real.
He stares at her, his thoughts heavy. But as his gaze flickers past her, it's not Dhavani that he thinks about — it's Prachi. The woman he can't stop thinking about, the woman he feels he's lost forever.
Ranbir (whispers to himself): "Main tumhe kabhi bhool nahi paaya, Prachi... tumhare bina sab kuch bekaar lagta hai. Aur yeh shaadi... shaadi main kyun kar raha hoon(I can never forget you, Prachi... without you, everything feels worthless. And this marriage... why am I doing this?)"
The awkward silence is broken by Suraj, Dhavani's father, who looks over at Ranbir with a proud, controlling gaze. He's been pushing for this marriage for so long, and now that Ranbir seems to be complying, he sees it as a victory.
Suraj (smiling, with a hint of authority): "Ranbir, yeh shaadi humare liye ek nayi shuruat hogi. Dhavani ko tumhari zarurat hai. Tum dono ka future bright hoga(Ranbir, this marriage will be a new beginning for us. Dhavani needs you. Your future together will be bright.)"
Ranbir (forcing a smile, nodding reluctantly): "Ji uncle, main sab kuch apne haath mein rakhunga. Sab kuch theek ho jayega(Yes, uncle, I will take care of everything. Everything will be fine.)"
Flashback:
For Ranbir, though, his feelings for Dhavani were not as deep. He appreciated her company, found her to be a beautiful and pleasant person, but it was not love in the way Dhavani felt for him. He had never felt the spark that Dhavani was giving him, but he cared for her in a comfortable, familiar way. Suraj, however, saw the connection between them and encouraged it, believing that Dhavani and Ranbir were the perfect match.
Suraj, Dhavani's father, is an influential businessman and a man of principles. He always dreamed of his daughter marrying a man from a well-established, respectable family. When he saw Dhavani's deep affection for Ranbir, he was eager to make their relationship official and start planning for their marriage. He saw Ranbir as the perfect future son-in-law — rich, well-connected, and from a family of similar stature.
Suraj pushed for the relationship to grow more serious quickly. However, Ranbir, still young and unsure about what he wanted in a partner, felt pressured. Suraj started making subtle suggestions and imposing his thoughts on their future together.
Ranbir felt trapped, and though he didn't harbor negative feelings for Dhavani, the weight of expectations began to suffocate him.
As the relationship progressed, Ranbir started pulling away, subconsciously realizing that he wasn't in love with Dhavani. Dhavani, who was all in, misread Ranbir's emotional distance. She tried harder, becoming more attentive, loving, and affectionate, but Ranbir's indifference only grew.
The breaking point came when Suraj, in an attempt to control their relationship further, arranged a formal engagement between Dhavani and Ranbir without even consulting him. Ranbir was deeply uncomfortable but didn't know how to voice his feelings, especially with the weight of Suraj's expectations on his shoulders. He feared the consequences of defying Suraj, so he went along with it for a while.
However, during a particularly heated argument at a family gathering, Ranbir finally confronted Dhavani. He told her, "I don't think we're meant to be together. I don't feel the way you do for me. It's just not love."
Dhavani, heartbroken, couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had invested so much of herself into their relationship, and hearing Ranbir say he didn't love her shattered her. She begged him to reconsider, but Ranbir's decision was final. She respected his decision here.
Their breakup was quiet, like the calm before a storm. They met one last time at the park bench they had shared so many memories on.
Dhavani held back her tears as she said, "Ranbir, agar tumhe dena hi hai to theek ho jao, bas ise sveekaar karo. lekin main yah jaanata hoon—main hamesha tumase pyaar karoonga(Ranbir, if letting me go is what you need to heal, I'll accept it. But know this—I'll always love you.)"
They parted with a hug, Dhavani silently hoping for a future where their paths would cross again.
Suraj, enraged by Ranbir's decision, could not accept the rejection. He felt humiliated, not just by Ranbir's actions, but because his perfect plan for his daughter's future had fallen apart. He had invested so much in getting Ranbir and Dhavani together, only to have it all ruined by Ranbir's indecision.
Suraj couldn't let Ranbir go unpunished. He used his influence to ensure that Ranbir would suffer in every business deal he worked on, threatening to destroy his reputation and relationships in India. Suraj's revenge was strategic, subtle, and effective — he tried to make Ranbir's life difficult in both his personal and professional spheres.
Suraj's anger turned into an obsession to see Ranbir pay for rejecting Dhavani. However, Ranbir didn't realize that Suraj's vendetta against him was growing. Suraj never gave up on his plan to have Dhavani marry Ranbir, seeing it as a matter of family honor. The desire to control his daughter's life and have the marriage reinstated became his driving force.
Present:
Now, years later, Suraj is not just trying to convince Ranbir to marry Dhavani; he is forcing it on him. Suraj believes that the engagement must happen for the family's dignity and reputation. He makes it clear to Ranbir that if he refuses, there will be consequences — not just for him, but for Prachi and her family as well.
Suraj's actions are no longer subtle. He has become increasingly desperate, resorting to threats to make Ranbir comply. Suraj knows that Ranbir is torn between his feelings for Prachi and his obligations to Dhavani, and he uses this against him. Suraj also subtly hints that he knows about Ranbir's past with Prachi and tries to use it to his advantage. The revenge is not just personal; it's about his pride and control over his daughter's life.
In addition, Ranbir's unresolved feelings of guilt and the weight of family expectations are becoming unbearable. He is being pushed into a corner by Suraj and is left with no choice but to consider the engagement with Dhavani — even though his heart belongs to Prachi.
Ranbir's current desire for revenge from Suraj is rooted in the deep emotional scars that the man caused him during their previous interactions. Suraj manipulated him into a relationship he didn't want, and when Ranbir rejected his daughter, Suraj didn't just walk away; he waged a silent war against him.
Ranbir's feelings of resentment have festered over the years. He views Suraj as the man who forced him into a relationship that ruined his chance at true love. And now, seeing that Suraj is pushing for Dhavani's marriage to him again, Ranbir wants to turn the tables — he wants to show Suraj that no one can force him into something he doesn't want. This was why he was pretending to agree with the marriage, but only to break it later. He will tell Dhavani though soon because he does not want her to suffer because of her father.
Dhavani looks at Ranbir, her heart swelling with hope. She can see the cracks in his smile, but she chooses to believe that he's just unsure, just as she is. After all, it's been years since they were together, and she's never stopped loving him. Maybe, just maybe, he's starting to feel the same again.
Dhavani (hesitantly, but with a small smile): "Ranbir... main janti hoon ki tumhare liye yeh sab jaldi hai. Par main tumhare saath rahkar sab kuch sahi karne ki koshish karongi. Hum dono ko yeh shaadi ek naye mod ki tarah dekhna chahiye(Ranbir... I know this is all happening quickly for you. But I'll try to make things right with you. We should see this marriage as a new beginning.)"
Ranbir looks at Dhavani, his heart heavy with guilt. He knows how much she's invested in him, and he can see the hope in her eyes. But all he can think about is Prachi, the woman he truly loves, the one he can't let go of. He clenches his fists under the table, his anger and frustration building.
But he doesn't want to hurt Dhavani. She's been through so much, and he knows how much she needs someone to lean on. And yet, the pain of not being with Prachi is eating away at him. His thoughts become jumbled — how did he get here? Why does everything feel so wrong?
Dhavani reaches out tentatively, her hand brushing against Ranbir's. She doesn't expect much, but when he doesn't pull away, her heart races. She leans in closer, her voice low.
Dhavani (softly, nervously): "Ranbir, main tumse sach mein pyaar karti hoon... tumhare bina main apni zindagi ki soch bhi nahi sakti(Ranbir, I truly love you... I can't imagine my life without you.)"
Ranbir's heart feels heavy. He can see how much she loves him, but the words she says don't reach him the way they used to. It's not that he doesn't care — he does, in his own way. But his heart is still with Prachi, and every moment spent with Dhavani only reminds him of how much he's sacrificing.
He nods, trying to force a smile, but the emotions in his eyes are clear. He can't lie to her — not now, not ever.
Ranbir (his voice cracking slightly): "Main tumhara saath yeh rishta ke liya haan kehne ki koshish kar raha hoon, Dhavani... par... dil ki baat main kisi aur se nahi keh sakta(I'm trying to say yes to this relationship with you, Dhavani... but... I can't say what my heart feels for someone else.)"
Dhavani's eyes well up with unshed tears, but she's determined not to show her weakness. She tries to suppress the tears, pushing them back deep inside. She wishes she could say something that would make him love her, but she knows deep down that the love she longs for isn't something that can be forced.
Dhavani (whispering, a hint of desperation in her voice): "Tumhe jo chahiye, vo sab main tumhe dena chahungi... Ranbir, tumhare liye main sab kuch kar sakti hoon(I'll give you everything you want... Ranbir, I can do anything for you.)"
Ranbir stares at Dhavani, his heart torn. He can't bear to see her like this, but he also knows that he's lying to her, to himself. He wants to tell her the truth — that he's still in love with Prachi, that he doesn't deserve to be with her, but the words don't come.
He looks at his hand — still bandaged from the glass he broke earlier. He's broken inside, too. And no matter how hard he tries, he can't fix himself by marrying Dhavani.
The house is quiet in the evening, with the occasional murmur of conversation in the background. Dhavani and Suraj are talking in the living room, but the focus shifts to the quieter corners of the house.
Namrata, who has been keeping a close eye on Kunal, walks through the corridor, looking around with suspicion. She's not buying the act. Something doesn't sit right with her about him. She's noticed the way Kunal has been trying to get close to Prachi, and it's been bothering her for days.
Namrata (whispering to herself): "Yeh Kunal... koi normal insaan nahi lagta. Kya uska sach mein koi connection hai Prachi se? Main toh yeh nahi samajh pa rahi hoon. Kya chal raha hai(This Kunal... he doesn't seem like a normal person. What exactly is his connection with Prachi? I can't figure it out. What's going on?)"
Namrata's suspicions grow as she watches from a distance. She knows Prachi is vulnerable, and she's determined to find out more about Kunal's intentions.
Meanwhile, Kunal is still trying to get close to Prachi. He leans against the doorway of the garden where she's standing, gazing out at the horizon, lost in thought. He steps closer to her, giving her a knowing look.
Kunal (with a sly grin): "Prachi, jaaneman... kya tum mujhse baat karne ka waqt dogi? Tumhe yaad hai na humne milke kitni achi baatein ki thi? Tum... aur main... hamesha saath rahenge, na? Kya tum mujhe ab se "Baklu" kahakar bulaoge? Aur main tum call karoonga "Chikchiki"(Prachi, darling... will you give me some time to talk? You remember how much fun we had talking together, right? Can you call me "Baklu" from now on. And I will call you "Chikchiki!")"
Prachi's Reaction: Prachi freezes when she hears the name "Baklu." Her eyes immediately well up with tears. That was Ranbir's name for her, their special nickname, their personal mischief. The words feel like a dagger to her heart. It's too much to hear Kunal using it, as if he could ever replace what she shared with Ranbir.
Prachi (with a shaky voice, turning away slightly, eyes filled with tears): "Stop... Kunal, please... don't say that... it's not for you."
She tries to keep her voice calm, but the pain is evident in her trembling hands and the way she's biting her lip. She refuses to look at him, turning her body towards the wall to create a physical distance.
Kunal (grinning, oblivious to her discomfort): "Aww, Chikchiki... kyun aise ghabra rahi ho? Humne toh kaha tha na, yeh naam hum dono ke liye special hoga... aur dekhna, tum bhi bahut jaldi mere saath khush rahogi(Aww, Chikchiki... why are you so nervous? We had said this name would be special for both of us... and you'll see, soon you'll be happy with me.)"
Kunal steps closer to her, brushing his fingers lightly against her shoulder. Prachi can't help but flinch as his touch sends a shiver of discomfort through her. She holds her breath, feeling the wave of panic rise inside her.
Unbeknownst to them, Ranbir is standing in the hallway, just outside the living room, where he overhears the exchange between Prachi and Kunal. He doesn't hear Prachi's words clearly, but the moment he hears Kunal call her "Chikchiki," something inside him snaps. The anger that has been brewing for days comes crashing down on him.
Ranbir (under his breath, barely able to control his rage): "Ye Kunal... Prachi ki feelings ke saath khel raha hai... Main isse chhupke nahi reh sakta(This Kunal... is playing with Prachi's feelings... I can't stay hidden from this anymore.)"
His eyes burn with fury. He pushes open the door, making his presence known, and his anger is palpable.
Prachi, sensing someone approaching, quickly wipes away the tears that had been falling, trying to compose herself. She doesn't want anyone to see her weakness. But it's too late — Ranbir is already standing there, his chest heaving with the force of his anger. Kunal, startled by Ranbir's sudden appearance, takes a step back.
Ranbir (voice cold, dangerous): "Tum... yeh kis haq se use 'Chikchiki' bula rahe ho? Tumhein lagta hai tum uske saath woh kuch ban sakte ho? Tum jaise log bas uski zindagi ko aur complex bana rahe ho(You... who gave you the right to call her 'Chikchiki'? Do you think you can be anything for her? People like you are just making her life more complicated.)"
Kunal (raising his hands in mock surrender): "Relax, Ranbir... main toh bas apne purane dosti ke naam pe kuch keh raha tha. Tumhare liye itni gussa hone ki koi zarurat nahi hai. Prachi ko toh acha lag raha tha(Relax, Ranbir... I was just saying something on the pretext of old friendship. There's no need to be this angry. Prachi was fine with it.)"
Prachi (interjecting, her voice trembling): "Stop, Kunal. Just stop! Tumhein yeh sab nahi kehna chahiye tha(Stop, Kunal. Just stop! You shouldn't have said any of this.)"
She turns to Ranbir, her eyes filled with unshed tears, but she doesn't want to show weakness in front of him. She feels as though her heart is breaking in two — she's caught between Kunal's persistent advances and the memories of her love for Ranbir, which she still can't let go of.
Ranbir (gritting his teeth, steps forward, eyes burning): "Main tumhe yeh sab bardasht nahi karne dunga, Kunal. Prachi ke saath khelna band karo(I won't let you get away with this, Kunal. Stop playing with Prachi.)"
Kunal (mockingly): "Acha? Tum dono ke beech jo kuch tha, uske baare mein tum khud sochne ka waqt toh nahi nikalte... toh kya tum ab mere saath zindagi bhar rakhoge(Oh? You guys didn't even take the time to think about what was between you two... so now what, will you spend the rest of your life with me?)"
Ranbir's patience finally snaps. He can't take Kunal's smug attitude anymore. He lunges forward, grabbing Kunal by the collar. His voice is low, dangerous, filled with fury.
Ranbir (growling, barely containing himself): "Tumne galat insaan ko chuna hai, Kunal. Agar tumne Prachi ko chhoda... toh main tumhein kabhi maaf nahi karunga(You've chosen the wrong person, Kunal. If you hurt Prachi... I'll never forgive you.)"
Kunal (pushing Ranbir away): "Main toh bas apne haq mein baat kar raha hoon, Ranbir. Tumhare jaise ladke toh sirf apni tasveer mein jeevan jeenay ke liye baithe hote hain(I'm just speaking up for what's mine, Ranbir. Guys like you just sit around living in their own world.)"
Prachi (crying softly, backing away): "Please... both of you... stop... main kuch samajh nahi pa rahi hoon... sab kuch bahut mushkil ho raha hai(Please... both of you... stop... I can't understand anymore... everything is getting too hard.")"
She turns around, running away from both of them, her heart torn between the love she once had and the man who is trying to control her life.
Ranbir stands there, fists clenched, still seething with rage as he watches her go. Kunal, on the other hand, smirks, knowing that his plan to get under Ranbir's skin is working. But the look in Ranbir's eyes tells him that he's far from winning this battle.
The soft moonlight filters through the curtains of Prachi's room. Her face is streaked with tears as she stands by the window, looking out into the night, her mind a whirlpool of emotions. She feels suffocated by the weight of everything that's happened—Kunal's persistence, Ranbir's anger, the constant push and pull between love and duty. And the worst part: she's torn between two people she never imagined she'd be caught between.
Just as she tries to collect herself, there's a soft knock at the door.
Naira (from outside the door): "Prachi... tum theek ho? Main andar aa sakti hoon(Prachi... are you okay? Can I come in?)"
Prachi quickly wipes her eyes, hoping her face looks calm enough to hide the storm inside. She takes a deep breath and calls out to Naira in a voice that tries to sound steady, but there's an edge of vulnerability to it.
Prachi (voice slightly shaky): "Ha, bhabhi, aa jao(Yes, sister-in-law, come in.)"
Naira enters the room, looking at Prachi with concern. She's always had a soft spot for Prachi and can tell when something is wrong. The moment she sees Prachi standing there, her heart aches. Naira walks up to her, standing a little distance away, giving her space to breathe. She notices the red eyes and the faintest traces of tears on her face.
Naira (gently, with concern): "Prachi... kya hua? Tum bahut udaas lag rahi ho. Kya kuch hua hai (Prachi... what happened? You look really sad. Has something happened?)"
Prachi, trying to hold it together, turns away for a moment, not wanting to break down completely in front of Naira. But Naira knows her too well.
Naira (stepping closer): "Prachi, mujhe sab samajh aata hai. Tumhare chehre pe kuch hai jo tumhare dil mein ho. Agar tum chaho toh mujhe bata sakti ho. Tumhari baat sunne ke liye main hamesha yahan hoon(Prachi, I understand. There's something on your face that reflects what's in your heart. If you want, you can tell me. I'm always here to listen to you.)"
At this, Prachi finally breaks. She turns to Naira, her heart in pieces, and begins to speak, but her voice is so soft, it almost seems like she's speaking to herself.
Prachi (voice breaking, looking down): "Bhabhi... main kahan jaa rahi hoon? Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha... Kunal ki baatein... aur Ranbir... wo... wo ab Dhavani ke saath hai... Kya main galat hoon? Kya main usse apne dil ki baat kabhi nahi keh paayi(Sister-in-law... where am I going? I don't understand... Kunal's words... and Ranbir... he's with Dhavani now... Am I wrong? Did I never say what was in my heart to him?)"
Tears begin to flow freely now, but Prachi quickly wipes them away, her shoulders shaking. Naira moves to her side and gently puts her arm around her, comforting her in the way only a sister-in-law can.
Naira (whispering softly, with warmth): "Prachi... tum bilkul galat nahi ho. Tumhara dil jo chahta hai, wo tumhe milne ka haq hai. Par samajh mein aata hai ki tumhare liye yeh sab kitna mushkil hai. Kunal toh bas... sandigdh lag raha hai. Aur Ranbir, uske paas apna dard hai, jo wo tumhare saath share nahi kar pata. Yeh sab bohot complicated hai, lekin tumhe apni feelings ko samajhna hoga(Prachi... you're not wrong at all. What your heart wants, you have every right to have. But I understand how difficult all of this is for you. Kunal is just...feeling suspicious. And Ranbir, he has his own pain that he can't share with you. It's all very complicated, but you need to understand your own feelings.)"
Prachi nods but still can't hold it in. She breaks down completely now, leaning on Naira for support, her chest heaving with the intensity of her emotions.
Prachi (sobbing, voice muffled by Naira's shoulder): "Bhabhi... main... main kya karoon? Mera dil... wo Ranbir ko chahta hai, lekin woh... woh ab mujhse door ho gaya hai. Aur Kunal... Kunal toh bas poori tarah se mere pyaar mein. Main kaise apne dil ki baat kisi se keh sakti hoon jab main apne aap ko samajh nahi paayi(Sister-in-law... what should I do? My heart... it wants Ranbir, but he... he's drifting away from me. And Kunal... Kunal is just totally in love with me. How can I speak from my heart when I don't even understand myself?)"
Naira's heart breaks seeing her so vulnerable, but she knows what she needs to say. She pulls back slightly, looking at Prachi with kind but firm eyes.
Naira (softly, with conviction): "Prachi, tumhein apne dil ki sunni hogi, samajhna hoga ki Ranbir ke saath jo hua, usme bohot kuch misunderstandings thi. Tum dono ke beech jo tha, wo abhi khatam nahi hua. Tumhe apne dard ko samajhna hoga. Aur Kunal? Woh koi tumhare saath waqt guzarne ka haq nahi rakhta(Prachi, you need to listen to your heart. You have to understand that everything that happened with Ranbir was full of misunderstandings. What you two shared isn't over yet. You need to understand your pain. And Kunal? He doesn't deserve to spend time with you.)"
Prachi listens to Naira's words, feeling some comfort in them. Naira, sensing the deep pain in her eyes, speaks softly but with a firmness that Prachi knows she needs to hear.
Naira (gently, but with determination): "Sab kuch thik hoga, Prachi. Tumhe apni feelings ke saath imaan dar hona hoga. Tumhara sachai hi tumhein aage le jayegi. Aur hamesha yaad rakhna, main tumhare saath hoon(Everything will be okay, Prachi. You need to stay true to your feelings. Your honesty will guide you forward. And always remember, I am with you.)"

The tension in the air still lingers after Naira's departure. Prachi, still shaken by his words and the proximity of the man, who's so desperately trying to make a claim on her, stands by the window, her thoughts racing.
Duniya mein kitni hain nafratein
Phir bhi dilon mein hain chahatein
(There is so much hatred in the world
But still there is love in the hearts)
Suddenly, Ranbir stands outside the door. He's been silent for a while, his eyes filled with the storm brewing inside him, but now there's a quiet resolve in his step. His gaze meets Prachi's, and despite everything that's happened, the intensity between them doesn't waver.
Duniya mein kitni hain nafratein
Phir bhi dilon mein hain chahatein
(There is so much hatred in the world
But still there is love in the hearts)
Ranbir (firmly, his voice low but intense): "Prachi..."
Prachi quickly wipes away the tears that had been threatening to spill, but she can't meet his gaze. She knows what's coming. She's not ready for it.
But Ranbir steps closer into the room, a step that feels like a promise, a step that says he's not leaving her alone, no matter what. He holds her hands and looks directly into her eyes.
Mar bhi jaaye pyar waale
Mitt bhi jaaye yaar waale
(Even if the people you love die
Even if your friends disappear)
Ranbir (gently, yet with authority): "Sun, Prachi... chahe jo ho, chahe Kunal jo kare, ya koi bhi... is duniya mein sirf ek hi insaan hai jo mujhe 'Baklu' bula sakta hai. Aur woh insaan tum ho. Aur sirf main woh ho jo tumhe 'Chikchiki' bula sakti ho. Aur kisi ko yeh haq nahi hai. Samjhi(Listen, Prachi... no matter what happens, no matter what Kunal does, or anyone else... there is only one person in this world who can call me 'Baklu'. And that person is you. And I am the only one who can call you 'Chikchiki'. And no one has this right. Got it?)"
Zinda rehti hain unki mohabbatein
Zinda rehti hain unki mohabbatein
(Their love always remains alive
Their love always remains alive)
Prachi hesitates, her heart racing. She opens her mouth to speak, but Ranbir raises his hand, stopping her, his voice filled with an unshakable resolve.
Aa aa aa ... aa aa aa
Ranbir (with a soft but determined smile): "Koi bhi jang, koi bhi toofan, koi bhi aandhi, ya aag, ya waqt... kuch bhi, kuch bhi humari yeh baat tod nahi sakta, Prachi. Na abhi, na kal, aur na kabhi. Tum aur main... jo rishta hum dono ka hai, woh kabhi nahi tut sakta. Jitni der mein main zinda hoon, aur meri maut ke baad bhi(No war, no storm, no darkness, no fire, no time...nothing, no matter can break this thing of ours, Prachi. Not now, not tomorrow, and never. You and me... the relationship we both have can never be broken. As long as I am alive, and after my death too...)"
Mar bhi jaaye pyar waale
Mitt bhi jaaye yaar waale
(Even if the people you love die
Even if your friends disappear)
Ranbir steps a little closer, his gaze softening as he looks into her eyes.
Ranbir (with sincerity): "Isliye yaad rakhna, Ms. Prachi Aggarwal(So remember, Ms. Prachi Aggarwal.)"
Zinda rehti hain unki mohabbatein
(Their love always remains alive)
Prachi, standing there, her heart beating loudly, wipes another tear from her cheek. She doesn't know how to respond. His words are too much for her. But there's something in his eyes, something that calms her, something that makes her feel safe even in this chaos.
Ranbir (quietly, almost a whisper): "Yaad rakhna, Prachi. Hamesha(Remember, Prachi. Always.)"
Zinda rehti hain unki mohabbatein
(Their love always remains alive)
As he turns to leave the room, Prachi is left standing there, overwhelmed by his words. She feels like her heart is about to burst with emotion, but she can't speak. He's given her a promise, a promise she knows he'll keep. No matter what happens, they are tied together in a way that nothing can break.
