Pallavi's POV
It’s been four months since we learned that Meher is part of our family. The truth, though shocking, brought us closer. Meher, despite her initial hesitation, embraced Arjun as her brother. I understood her emotions better than anyone else because I had walked the same path—discovering the true meaning of family and the painful truths hidden in the past.
But yesterday… yesterday brought a storm I wasn’t prepared for.
---
Flashback
The morning sun filtered through my cabin's window as I rummaged through my desk drawer, searching for a client file. My fingers brushed against something unfamiliar—an envelope, stark and plain, with no name or address. I hesitated, my instincts warning me, but curiosity took over.
I unfolded the envelope and pulled out a stack of documents. The first was a DNA test report. My breath hitched as I read the names: Abhram and Pallavi. My name. Mine and Abrahm bhaiyya name.
I couldn’t process it. Why would someone send this to me? What truth were they trying to reveal?
The second set of documents fell into my hands—photographs. I stared at them, my heart pounding as recognition set in. They were of Arjun, sitting with men who clearly didn’t belong to a “normal” business environment. Their faces, their demeanor—everything screamed danger.
And then came the last document.
My fingers trembled as I held it. A contract. Our wedding contract. The very paper Arjun had signed before our marriage. My marriage to him is not good in the initial stage but now a bond I thought was built on love , and what is this all of sudden
I felt a lump in my throat, but I swallowed it down and reached for the letter tucked at the bottom of the file. The handwriting was neat, calculated, almost mocking. I read it carefully, each word sinking into my soul like a blade.
---
Dear Pallavi,
"Sach kabhi na kabhi samne zaroor aata hai, chahe usse jitna chhupane ki koshish ki jaaye."
(Truth always comes to light, no matter how much one tries to hide it.)
You deserve to know what has been kept from you all your life. The Khurana family isn’t just a powerful name in the business world , they are your blood. Your mother jaya Khurana, and father Mahesh khurana had lost you in an accident. The truth is, they never stopped searching for you.
As for Arjun, he isn’t just your husband; he’s a man who walks in the shadows, bound by the world of the mafia. He hides this part of himself to shield you, but secrets this big never stay buried.
Lastly, the contract , signed by Avinash and Mahesh , from Arjun is the foundation of the lies that bind you. Arjun was only pretending that he is loving you but the reality is , he was only with you bcoz of that contract
Ab samajhdar ban kar faisla lena tumhaare haath mein hai. Kya tum Arjun aur contract ke beech ki is sachchai ke saath jee paogi?
(Now it’s in your hands to decide wisely. Can you live with the truth about Arjun and the contract ?)
Choose courage, Pallavi. You owe it to yourself.
Aek dost jo tumhe sach tak le jaana chahta hai.
(A friend who wants to lead you to the truth.)

The letter slipped from my fingers and landed on the desk as tears welled up in my eyes. My mind raced with questions. Who sent this? Why now? Was it true?
I gripped the edge of the table, trying to steady myself, but my body betrayed me. My knees buckled, and I collapsed into my chair, staring blankly at the documents.
“Arjun…” his name escaped my lips in a whisper, filled with a mix of love and betrayal. My heart refused to believe it, but my mind couldn’t ignore the evidence in front of me.
I thought of the moments we shared—the laughter, the arguments, the way he held me as if I were his entire world. Could all of that have been a lie?
No. I needed answers. And only Arjun could give them to me.
I glanced at the letter and l could notice subtle details about the letter , a familiar handwriting, a faint perfume, that hint at the sender’s identity, adding an element of mystery.
With trembling hands, I gathered the papers and tucked them back into the envelope. As I stood, determination replaced my shock. I wouldn’t let doubt consume me.
“Arjun srivastav,” I muttered under my breath, my voice firmer now. “You have some explaining to do.”
I stepped out of the cabin, the envelope clutched tightly in my hand. My heart ached, but my resolve was unshaken.
If this was a storm, I’d weather it because I needed to know the truth.
****************
As I stormed into Arjun’s cabin without knocking, my heart pounded with a mixture of rage and disbelief. The sight of him, calmly sitting behind his desk, sent a surge of emotions through me. Without hesitation, I raised my hand and slapped him, the sharp sound echoing in the room.
He didn’t flinch. Instead, he lowered his head, his silence both infuriating and heartbreaking. He didn’t defend himself, didn’t utter a single word. He simply waited, his demeanor almost inviting my anger, as if he believed he deserved it.
“Why did you send these papers?” I roared, slamming the documents on his desk. My voice cracked, but my fury overshadowed my pain. His lack of response only fueled my frustration.
Finally, he looked at me, his expression calm but his eyes heavy with guilt. “Yes, I sent them,” he admitted, his voice steady yet soft, like he had been preparing for this moment.
His admission made my breath hitch. “Please tell me this is a lie,” I spat, my voice breaking as I clung to a desperate hope. “I don’t need proof. Just say this is a lie, Arjun. Just say it!”
He sighed deeply, his gaze locking with mine. “No, it’s 100 percent true,” he said, his tone devoid of hesitation.
My legs trembled, and I reached out to steady myself against the chair. His words hit me like a blow to the chest. My world tilted, the foundation of my trust in him cracking beneath me.
“But 100 percent is not always enough to understand the whole story,” he added, his voice gentle but firm.
I stared at him, my throat dry as I waited for him to explain. My mind raced with questions, but my voice refused to cooperate.
“Yes, the Khurana family is your real family,” he began, the weight of his words sinking into my chest. “And we hid this from you because of your health. We didn’t want to risk it.”
His revelation sent shockwaves through me. My real family? How could he keep something like this from me? But before I could ask, he continued.
“And yes, I am part of the mafia,” he admitted, his voice steady despite the gravity of his words. “I joined it to take revenge on my mother’s murderer. But over time, it became more than just a mission. It became a part of my life.”
My hands balled into fists. “Then why didn’t you leave?” I demanded, my voice filled with both anger and anguish.
He leaned back in his chair, a bitter smile playing on his lips. “It’s like riding a tiger, Pallavi. If you try to get off, the tiger will devour you.”
His words left me speechless. I saw the weariness in his eyes, the weight of his choices etched into his face. For the first time, I saw not just the man I loved, but the battles he had been fighting alone.
“And those contract papers…” he began, but I didn’t let him finish.
I stepped forward, cupping his mouth with my palm, stopping the words that might further hurt us both.
"Humare riste ko do kaagaz ke tukde thod nahi sakte Arjun"
“Our relationship cannot be torn apart by a few pieces of paper, Arjun. I trust you. Forever,” I whispered, my voice trembling with emotion.
His eyes widened, and for a moment, he looked vulnerable—like a man unaccustomed to forgiveness. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. He hesitated, then buried his face in my shoulder, his tears soaking through my shirt.
In that moment, I felt his pain, his guilt, his relief. And despite the chaos around us, I held onto him, silently vowing to stand by him, no matter what storms came our way.
*********************
That's how I met my family, even though I didn't remember any single thing about my past but I know the place I belong to. Life is so strange; one moment it feels like we have nothing, and the very next moment, it feels like we have everything. And for me, my everything is Arjun. If someone were to place all the happiness in the world on one side and Arjun on the other, asking me to choose, I would choose Arjun because I know that my world is Arjun.
But today, my world is in danger. Yes, he is in danger. Finally, we found out about Noor, Meher's younger sister.
She is on North Sentinel Island, located in the Andaman Sea—a "dangerous" island among all. The indigenous Sentinelese people fiercely protect their isolation. The people on that island consume other humans because they are no longer human; they have turned into wild animals due to a drug injected into their bodies. The island is perilous because its inhabitants violently resist any outside contact.
Aniruddh got information that Noor is being held captive on that island. He wanted to go there alone without informing higher officials. But instead of Aniruddh, Arjun went to that island disguised as a normal person. He did this because if he went there as Arjun Srivastav, it might put Meher in harm's way. So, he went alone.
It has been 24 hours since we lost connection with him. I am certain he is in danger; my instincts have never been wrong.
The only way to reach him was through a plan devised by Aniruddh. As the head of the organization, he proposed a deal with a foreign company—information that Arjun shared before leaving on this mission.
To entertain the dealers, they organized a small party and hired some strippers to perform. Aniruddh replaced those strippers with us.
By "us," I mean me, Shalini, Janvi Bhabhi, Meher, Basanti, and Naina.
Initially, the men in our family opposed this idea, but they also knew that we girls would do whatever we wanted. Reluctantly, they agreed to the plan. They are following us from a little distance.
We’ve now reached the island, covering our faces with netted cloth, leaving only our eyes visible, and are dressed as professional belly dancers.
We entered a massive building decorated for the party. The place is eerie. They checked us thoroughly as we expected, so we didn’t carry any weapons or electronic devices. We can’t afford to get caught at this stage.
However, Meher had a tracker injected into her body to determine the current location. The tracker will transform into poison six hours after being injected. Four hours have already passed, leaving us only two hours to remove it. Otherwise, the poison will spread throughout her body. We tried to stop her, but what can we say?
Maahi Singh Shekhawat, aka Meher, is more stubborn than her brother.
Finally, we reached the hall. On one side, we saw some dangerous-looking men drinking alcohol, staring at us lustfully. On the other side, my husband was tied with iron chains. If he moved even a little, he would get an electric shock. His head and the corner of his lip were bleeding. It was clear—they had trapped him. They intentionally gave him information about Noor to lure him here.
But they don’t know—if a lion takes two steps back, it leaps forward by ten.
My husband is an injured lion right now, one that could overpower them at any moment. Just as Satyabhama helped Lord Krishna when needed, now it’s my turn to help my Arjun.
I promise you, Arjun—we will all leave this place safe and sound.

Author pov
The sultry beats of Mayya Mayya filled the dimly lit hall, creating an intoxicating atmosphere as Pallavi, Janvi, Shalini, Meher, Basanti, and Naina began their hypnotic performance. Their movements were fluid and mesmerizing, their faces veiled with netted cloths that revealed only their piercing eyes. The men in the room, captivated by their sensual yet graceful dance, had no inkling of the storm brewing beneath the surface.
Pallavi’s eyes searched the room until they met Arjun’s. He sat chained to a wall, bruised and bloodied but unyielding. Their gaze locked, and in that instant, Arjun understood. His sharp mind pieced together their presence and their intentions. A small smirk played on his lips, but he quickly masked it with a blank, unreadable expression, unwilling to tip off their captors.
The dance continued. As the tempo heightened, Janvi subtly signaled Meher and Shalini to break away from the group. A quick exchange of glances and imperceptible nods confirmed their plan. The two women spun gracefully out of formation, their movements seamlessly blending into the shadows as they began searching for Noor.
Meanwhile, Pallavi’s sharp eyes landed on the lock binding Arjun. The electrified mechanism was designed to deliver a deadly shock to anyone attempting to tamper with it. She knew they had to disable the power supply before making their move. Timing was critical.
Positioning herself at the center, Pallavi executed a series of captivating spins, drawing all eyes to her. As the other dancers encircled her, she leaned in and whispered her plan to Janvi, Naina, and Basanti, her words concealed behind the rhythmic swaying of the group.
Arjun watched with a mixture of pride and admiration. His wife, fearless and resourceful, was orchestrating their rescue amidst a den of wolves. A smug smile tugged at the corners of his lips, but he quickly suppressed it, focusing on the unfolding plan.
As the next verse began, Naina and Basanti moved closer to the men, their seductive moves drawing their attention. The guards, distracted by their alluring performance, failed to notice Janvi slipping away to disable the power supply to Arjun’s chains.
With the power supply cut, Pallavi executed a swift move, twirling past a guard and deftly snatching the key hanging around his neck. Her movements were so seamless that the man remained oblivious.
Within moments, Pallavi unlocked the chains, freeing Arjun. The instant he was unbound, his predator instincts kicked in. He lunged at the nearest guard, his movements swift and brutal.
Arjun’s fist collided with the jaw of the first man, sending him sprawling. Grabbing another guard by the wrist, he twisted it sharply, disarming him before delivering a powerful elbow strike to the ribs. The man doubled over in pain, but Arjun was already moving, picking up a steel rod and using it to incapacitate two more attackers with precise, bone-shattering blows.
A man charged at him with a knife, but Arjun sidestepped with lightning reflexes, grabbing the assailant’s arm and slamming him into the wall. Blood dripped from Arjun’s lips, but his intensity only grew. He moved with the ferocity of a lion, his every action efficient and deadly.
The head of the organization, realizing the tables had turned, attempted to flee. Chaos erupted as Aniruddh and his team burst into the hall, guns blazing.
Neil and vipul covered the main entrance, their rifles taking down anyone who tried to escape. Aniruddh, with his unmatched precision, neutralized the guards near the stage. Abraham and Aman worked in tandem, covering each other as they systematically cleared the room of remaining threats.
Amidst the chaos, Meher located Noor in a hidden cell. Otherside Meher was weak but alive, her condition worsening by the second due to the poisonous drug in her body. Without considering her own pain she carried Noor out with grim determination, every second ticking like a time bomb.
Aniruddh immediately escorted Meher and Noor to a waiting ship, racing against time to administer the antidote.
Despite the carnage in the hall, Arjun’s fury remained unquenched. He pursued the head of the organization, who had scrambled onto a race boat docked nearby. The man, desperate to escape, started the engine, but Arjun leaped aboard at the last second.
The boat sped across the water, the wind whipping through Arjun’s hair as he tackled the man. A brutal fight ensued on the moving vessel, with Arjun overpowering him and delivering a series of punishing blows.
Unbeknownst to Arjun, the boat was rigged with a bomb planted by Aniruddh as a contingency plan. The timer ticked down as the fight raged on. Just as Arjun incapacitated the man, the bomb detonated.
A massive fireball erupted over the water, the deafening explosion sending shockwaves through the air. On the shore, Pallavi watched in horror as the boat disintegrated before her eyes.
"Arjun!" she screamed, her voice breaking as she fell to her knees. The world around her blurred, her vision clouded by tears. Darkness consumed her as the weight of the moment overwhelmed her, and she collapsed, unconscious.
The remaining team rushed to the shoreline, their eyes scanning the debris-strewn waters for any sign of Arjun. The air was thick with tension and the acrid smell of smoke. Time seemed to stand still as everyone grappled with the possibility of losing him.

Hospital
The sterile scent of antiseptic filled the hospital room as Pallavi slowly regained consciousness. Her eyelids fluttered open, disoriented for a moment before the memories of the explosion and her frantic search for Arjun flooded back. Panic gripped her as her gaze darted around the room until it finally landed on him.
Arjun sat on a chair beside her bed, his right arm scratched and bruised but with no bandages. He leaned back casually, watching her wake up, his eyes soft with relief.
“Arjun,” Pallavi whispered hoarsely, her voice trembling. She bolted upright, ignoring the dull ache in her body.
“Are you okay, Pallavi?” Arjun’s deep voice held a rare gentleness, but his eyes betrayed the storm of emotions he’d been hiding.
“Are you okay, Arjun?” she shot back, her eyes scanning his injuries.
Their questions overlapped, and for a moment, they stared at each other, neither waiting for an answer. Pallavi threw her arms around him, pulling him into a desperate embrace.
Arjun hesitated for a fraction of a second before wrapping his arms around her, burying his face in her shoulder.“I can’t live without you” he murmured softly.
Tears welled in Pallavi’s eyes as she clutched him tighter“I thought… I had lost you forever” she whispered, her voice breaking.
Arjun gently pulled back, holding her face in his hands. “Main aise nahi jaa sakta, Pallavi.“I can’t leave like this, Pallavi. I never had the right to leave you behind.”
As she sobbed quietly, he wiped her tears away, attempting to lighten the mood. “By the way, I thought I’d be the one lying on the bed and you’d be sitting beside me, rushing to get me water. But look, as always, the opposite has happened.”
Pallavi’s jaw dropped, and before he could smirk, her fist lightly punched his stomach. “Aap kitne gande husband ho, pata hai main kitna dar gayi thi!”
(“You are such a terrible husband! Do you know how scared I was!”) she exclaimed, her tears mingling with her frustration.
Arjun winced dramatically, clutching his stomach. “Arre, maar bhi diya! Kitni violent wife hai meri!”
(“Oh no, now you’ve hit me too! How violent my wife is!”)
Their banter was interrupted by the nurse entering with a tray of supplies. Pallavi stepped back, wiping her eyes as the nurse began dressing Arjun’s wounds. She winced every time he flinched, her heart aching to see him in pain.
Once the nurse left, Arjun leaned closer, his voice softer. “Meher’s health is better now. The poison’s effect has reduced. The doctors say she’s out of danger.”
Pallavi exhaled a breath of relief, her hands clutching her chest. “Thank God… Noor?”
“She’s safe” Arjun assured her. “Both Meher and Noor are safe.”)
Pallavi smiled faintly, her thoughts lingering on the fierce love that mirrored her own feelings for Arjun.
As the room fell silent, Arjun reached out, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. “ and biwi sahiba aap classical dance ke saath saath woh wala dance bhi acche kar lethi ho , kabhi akele mein bhi karke dikhana " .
"And wifey , along with classical dance, you also perform that kind of dance very well. Someday, show it to me in private too." He teased her ..
" Ab husband mafia mein hai toh wife ko ayisi stunts karna hi padta hai mr husband " she shot back ..
(Now that the husband is in the mafia, the wife has to perform such stunts, Mr. Husband.)
Arjun chuckled, pulling her close again. “Tum jaise biwi ke hote huye, mujhe toh zindagi mein extra drama ki jarurat hi nahi hai " he teased her more while playing with her hair locks ..
They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other’s warmth, finding solace in the fact that no matter what storms came their way, their love would always anchor them back to safety.
