In the Hypnos Building.

"Sir, I've detected a disturbance in the network data stream." Tally announced as she turn her head towards Yamaki.

"Origin?" He asked.

Tally hesitated before she spoke. "Um, I'm sorry sir, I'm not sure."

"Hm."

Yamaki has a flashback to when the kids brought back the little girl to her mother.

"Let's get her back before anyone notices." Takato had shouted to his friends.

They drop her off then run.

End flashback.

"Those kids are a nuisance." Yamaki growls.

In the park, Kazu and Kenta are playing the card game Takato, and Tiffany arrives late.

"Aw man." Takato said with a grin.

Takato and Tiffany both climbed into the dinosaur set. Where all of them played the digimon card game.

"Huh?" Kazu and Kenta looked over at the two of them.

"You started without us." Takato said a with grin.

Tiffany waved that away. "Don't worry about that Takato. We will play next turn. One of us will play the winner." She suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea, what do you guys think?" He asked.

"Um..."

Kazu and Kenta looked away from the two of them.

"What's wrong guys? Why did you run away yesterday?" He asked sadly.

"Um, stuff to do, you know." Kazu whispered as he got up from he sat.

Flashback to yesterday when Takato and the others brought the two of them to meet Guilmon.

"Yeah, right you're all so full of it." Kazu grinned.

They see bright yellow glowing eyes.

"Huh? Uh!" Kazu and Kenta scream.

Guilmon sneezes and they run out of the hideout scared.

When they turn around they see Tapirmon appear from out of thin air.

"Ghost!" They both ran in the opposite direction.

"Mommy!" Kenta cried.

End flashback.

How did you make those things look so real?" Kenta asked Takato and Tiffany.

"Well he looks real...because he is real." Takato frowns.

Tiffany nods. "He is telling the truth. That ghost you saw the other day was a digimon as well." She explained to them.

Kazu shook his head. "Yeah right. Hm..."

He remembers the yellow glowing eyes and 'growl', and then running into the ghost.

Kazu packs up his cards and puts them away.

"Hey we just got here. Don't put it off." Takato said sadly.

"Come on. Can't we all just hang out?" Tiffany asked.

"You're both beginning to freak us out dudes." Kazu mummbles.

"What do you mean?" Takato asks.

Jeri walks by on the sidewalk.

"I mean you both made a digimon, one out of rubber eyes and a flashlight and the other...with some optical illusions and you're trying to mess us up with it." Kazu shook his head.

They leave.

"You're crazy, why would I do something like that? Come on guys! I know it's freaky, but he's a real digimon! You begged to see him and then you ran away before he could even say hi!" Takato yelled after them.

"Guy! Please you got the wrong idea!" Tiffany frowned as they left.

"Uh..." Jeri frowns as she watches the events unfold.

On the street Yamaki is walking, clicking his lighter open and close.

I don't think the little fools realize what a dangerous game they're playing. It's time to enlighten them.

He grins to himself.

Rika walks into her house.

"Hm?"

She turns and looks around.

"Is she really gone? I knew all that partner stuff was nonsense." Rika said aloud.

She keeps looking.

"She never really cared about me, no matter what she says."

She walks over behind a corner to look.

"If she cared, she'd be here. She was just using me. Hm..." Rika frowns as she noticed that Renamon was nowhere to be seen.

(Blaine's house)

Blaine and Julia were sitting at the kitchen table.

The brother and sister were both eating salid.

While Gatomon and Pansamon hid under the table.

Blaine's and Julia's aunt was standing next to the sink in the kitchen washing dishes. Their aunt looked up at the look and frown.

"Your uncle should have been home by now..."She whispered sadly. "I guess he got caught up with work." She held a hand over her heart. "I always worry about him..."

Julia frowns as she looks over at her aunt. "I always forget....I don't remember if I asked before...but where does our uncle work at?"

Her aunt scratches her cheek. "You know for the twenty three years your uncle has been working...I can't even recall where he works." She mummbles to herself.

Blaine and Julia exchange weird looks.

"You really don't know where he works."

Their aunt shook her head. "Not a clue."

Julia frowns. "Doesn't that make you a little concern?" She asked.

Their aunt nods. "It does...I almost recall asking him. But I have no memory of his job."

She puts her hand on her forehead.

Pansamon looks up at Julia.

I wonder why this is such a big deal...

Gatomon looks over at the panther digimon and holds out her paw.

Pansamon raised an eyebrow.

And Gatomon rolled her eyes in expiration. She gave him a look and motioned for the shadows around them.

Pansamon open his mouth in a "o". The panther digimon grabbed her paw and the two of them disappeared within the darkness.

In the Hypnos Building.

Tally types on her computer. She looks up when a beeping noise was heard. "A wild one, it appears erratic. Tracers set to monitor progress."

In a baseball diamond a beam shoots up and from it a digital field.

Inside the digital field a hole opens up and three Flybeemon fly out of it and Renamon appears before them.

"Hm?"

The 1st Flybeemon flies toward Renamon but she disappears and reappears behind him.

"Things not what they seemed? Renamon asks with a smirk.

Outside the digital field Rika arrives.

"Renamon!" Rika shouted.

Calumon jumps out from behind a bush.

"Rika! What's wrong?" Calumon asks with a frown.

Rika hesitates to enter so just watches.

Inside the digital field the 2nd flies to Renamon grabbing her attention. Then the 2nd tries to attack with her back turned but she swats him away like a fly with her tail. Then she slashes at the 2nd.

"Huh?" The second Flybeemon cried out.

The bee digimon burst into data.

"One down, that was easy enough. Hm?" Renamon senses something flying behind her.

From behind Renamon the 3rd appears and shoots a stinger at Renamon.

"Uh! Where did that come from?" Renamon cries out as the stinger hits her back.

She falls to her knees and looks around.

"Rika, where are you?"

Renamon shook her head. Rika's not coming, I have to do this alone.

Outside Henry, Terriermon, Tiffany, and Tapirmon arrive.

"Rika, why are you outside? You're missing the fight, that's not like you. Where's Renamon? Is she in there?" Henry looks around for the fox digimon.

Tiffany frowns as she stares at the orange haired girl.

"You shouldn't you be there for her?" Tapirmon asks as he tilts his head.

"She needs you." Calumon whispers.

In the digital field.

"Lightning Sting!"

Electricity forms on the two Flybeemon's wings then they shoot it at Renamon making her fall.

"Uh!" Renamon shouts in pain

Outside Rika grasps her D-power then turns and runs with Calumon following.

"Where ya going?" Calumon yells after her.

"Rika!" Henry and Tiffany shouted after her.

Terriermon shook his head. "What's with her?"

Inside the digital field the two Flybeemon move in on the seemingly injured Renamon.

"Hm. "

Renamon jumps to her feet on the pitcher's mound then jumps past the Flybeemon into the air.

"Diamond Storm!"

The ice leaves rain down on them destroying them, allowing Renamon to absorb their data.

"I did it, I destroyed them without Rika's help. Hm." Renamon said with confidence.

On the street Rika is walking.

Rika shook her head. "Renamon just wanted me to help her digivolve, I'm not falling for it anymore. I don't need her."

Calumon tilts her head. Oh...humans can be so silly. Sometimes they're up and sometimes they're down. They gotta learn to go with the flow.

Back at the baseball field Renamon jumps over the fence.

"Renamon, Rika was here I think she's worried about you." Henry informed her.

Tiffany nods. "She is worried about you...I can tell by looking at her. She might show that she is denying it. But she is really missing you."

"She is? Are you sure?"

"She was all white faced and jumpy, you know? She was in a bad way." Terriermon exclaimed.

Tapirmon frowns. "I just don't understand why she ran away..." Tapirmon murmurs to himself.

Renamon shook her head. "Rika? I doubt it."

"Renamon, you two fit together, you should be partners not enemies."

Tiffany nods once more

Renamon tilts her head. "Partners." she asks out loud.

Terriermon turns his head to see Calumon running over to him. "Ha ha! Bout time, I want to play!"

Calumon runs over and Terriermon and him belly high five and fall back.

Tapirmon sweat drops.

"Partners, you keep using that word. Am I supposed to know what it means?" Renamon asks.

"It's like this, Terriermon and I are both friends and equals." He informs her.

Tiffany puts her hand over her heart. "And just like Tapirmon are friends. Just because we used to be enemies. We learn to take the mistakes we have taken from the past and move on with our lives."

"Equals." Renamon mulls over.

Tapirmon smiles. "That's right. We learn from each other's mistakes. We make up for one another weaknesses and make a strong team."

Henry smiles at Tapirmon's response. "Exactly, that's the same with Terriermon and I we know each others strength's and weaknesses." He added.

"Hm." Renamon hums.

Terriermon looks over at Calumon. "Guess what? Henry taught me tai-chi, do you want to learn?"

"How do you do it? Hm?"

"You start like this." Terriermon instructed.

Terriermon makes a stance and Calumon copies.

"Like this?" Calumon asked.

Henry looks over at Renamon with a smile. "Both of you must've had something in common or you wouldn't have become partners in the first place. It was no coincidence, I'm sure of it."

Tiffany smiles. "It will just take a while for both You and RIka to find put what you both share."

Terriermon sighs. "This is gonna take longer than I thought."

Calumon was frantically trying to keep her balance. "Whoa! Whoa!"

(Blaine and Julia's house)

Gatomon and Pansamon were both sitting on top of Julia's beds. The two feline digimon were talking quietly to one another.

"Don't you find it just a little bit strange?" Gatomon asked with a frown.

Pansamon scratch his cheek. "I guess so..."

Gatomon sighs. "Why doesn't their aunt have no clue about where her husband works?"

Pansamon shrugs. "Maybe she has memory loss like..." The panther digimon stops himself from finishing the sentence.

Gatomon shook her head. "You know everytime I'm around their uncle....I get this strange feeling." She whispers.

Pansamon looks puzzled at Gatomon. "What do you mean." He asked.

"You don't sense it...it feels like he has been around digimon." She whispered to him.

Pansamon stared at her in surprise. "What!?" He said in complete shock. "Wait...are you sure your not just sensing us?" He asked.

Gatomon shook her head. "No...these digimon I sense off of him are way stronger in power than the two of us combine. I don't know if it's because I'm just tried...or their uncle is not who he says he is." She exclaims.

"What should we do about it."

Gatomon shrugs. "At the moment...all we can do is investigate. Whenever he comes home...and everyone goes to bed. We can explore the house for clues, or background information to tell us who that man truly is." She suggested.

Later on Henry and Tiffany is talking with Takato.

"It was one strange conversation I could tell you that. What would you have said?"

"Bout Guilmon? I don't know, it's hard to put in words. He's not exactly your average digimon, huh? He's my friend, I can rely on him no matter what. But Renamon and Rika...they don't seem to understand that. I wish we could help. " Takato sighed sadly.

Henry nods. "Me too."

Tiffany looks down at the ground with a frown. She crosses her arms over her chest.

"So weird, I bet it's just eating her up, huh? " Taka to asked.

"I'd imagine that it is, but with her ya just never know."

Tiffany looks up. "I think I might have an idea on how she feels..." She whispers sadly.

Takato and Henry look at the blonde.

"What do you mean?" Henry asked.

"Back when I was in the second grade...I use to have this friend. We were best friends ever since preschool...but then their was this party....with some popular girls." Tiffany started to explain. The blonde shook her head. "They said if I wanted to be part of their group I would have to pull a prank on my best friend...after that...my friend never talked to me again...and I continue being rude to her...you know looking back at it...I my have not truly realized it then...but I truly regretted what I did." Her eyes started to tear up. "And if I could go back in time to that moment...I would..." She whispers sadly.

Takato and Henry exchange looks.

"Don't worry about that Tiffany. It's good that you are learning from the mistakes in your past...but you shouldn't dwell on them and let them control you." Takato smiled softly.

"Just try to think of the future, and what you can do to change." Henry suggested.

Tiffany nods. "Your right." She wipes her tears in her eyes. "And maybe one day I can apologize to her personally."

They turn a corner.

"Huh?" Henry whispered.

Tiffany frowns at the man in front of them. "Who's he?" she asks.

"Hey, what's the holdup?" Takato asks his friends.

Takato sees a man in a suit right in front of them.

"Uh, uh..." Takato murmurs.

He walks up.

"Are you Takato Matsuki?" Yamaki asks.

Takato nods. "Uh, yeah. Yeah, that's me."

Yamaki looks over at the blue hair boy. "That must make you Henry Wong."

"What about it?"

Yamaki looks over at the blonde hair girl.

"And you must be Tiffany Jane" he exclaimed.

"How do you know us?" she asks.

He didn't answer her question.

"It seems like Blaine and Julia Grace aren't here...oh well you can tell them for me." He says to himself.

The three kids felt stunned. This man knew all of their names. How could this be possible? Who was this guy anyway. Floated around in the three kids heads.

"You were hanging around the Shinjuku guardrail yesterday, weren't you?" He asked all three of them.

"Uh." Takato frowns.

"You've been under observation. This game you're playing is dangerous. I suggest you find a new hobby." He suggested the three kids.

"Is that a threat?" Tiffany asks. "Because I feel like threatening three kids, allows us to call the cops."

Yamaki chuckles at the blonde's response.

"Just who are you anyway? And what do you care what we do? Huh?" Henry asked.

"Takato!" Jeri's voice was heard.

Henry, Tiffany, Terriermon, and Takato turn their heads in the direction of the voice. "Huh?"

"Consider this a warning." He whispered to them.

Yamaki turns and runs while the three turn back to see him running away. Henry tries to follow after him.

"Henry!" Tiffany yelled after him.

"What? Hey wait a minute! What do you mean warning? This isn't exactly normal adult behavior, you know?!" Henry called after the blonde haired man.

"Wait! Henry! Uh." Takato yells.

Takato and Tiffany were going to run after him but Jeri catches up.

"Takato!"

Takato looks over at the brown hair girl. "Hi Jeri."

"Hi, I know it's not nice to listen to other people's conversations but I just couldn't help it."

Takato jumps back in surprise. "Wha?"

Tiffany grimaces. Great another person who discovered the existence of digimon...

"Why were you two arguing with Kenta and Kazu?" Jeri asked the two of them.

Takato and Tiffany exchange looks.

"Arguing?" They said in unison.

"It sounded like you were arguing about a real digimon." Jeri exclaimed.

"A real digimon?" Takato and Tiffany said in unison. A look of terror on both of their faces.

"Would you both stop repeating me!? Is it true?" She asks.

Takato sighs. "If I told you that it was would you believe me? You wouldn't be scared?" He asks.

Jeri shook her head. "I'd believe you, I want to see him! Please!"

Tiffany smiles. "Well their isn't just one."

Jeri looks over at and pointed. "You have a digimon too?"

Tiffany nods.

Jeri look like she just won the lottery. "I want to see both of them." She said excitedly.

Takato laughs then realizes what she said.

"Wha?"

He sees she really does want to see Guilmon and Tapirmon.

"Uh..." Takato trails off. He sounded unsure.

His face turns red.

"Come on Takato, let's take her to the hideout. Let's just hope it's not a repeat of yesterday"

The blonde starts pulling the hazel hair boy by the back of his collar.

Takato flail his arms back and forth. "I can walk by myself you know!"

Jeri laughs at the two of them.

At the hideout.

This may be the absolute dumbest thing I've ever done. Takato shook his head.

"Well were here." Tiffany announced.

"Does he live here?" Jeri pointed towards the hideout.

"Huh? Yeah, that's right." Takato nods.

Jeri started to look exicitied once agian. "A real digimon?"

"Amazing, huh? Wait till you see him. I created him you know."

"You did? Wow! What kind of digimon is he?"

Tiffany smiles between the two of them.

"He's tough and baby can he fight. His special attack is Pyro Sphere." He informed her.

He opens the gate.

"Huh."

Jeri sees yellow glowing eyes and gets scared.

"Uh...oh" Tiffany whispers.

Whoops, this could get ugly. Takato grimaces.

Takato started to try to wave away Jeri."I was just kidding, it's fake. You know, rubber eyes, flashlight. I had ya goin' there didn't I? You know how us boys are."

Tiffany elbowed him in his sides.

"And one girl" He added in pain.

"Huh? But you guys..." Jeri trails off.

"I'm sorry if we..."

Guilmon pokes his head through the darkness.

"Hey Takato, I'm hungry, did you bring some bread?"

Tapirmon races out of the hideout and hid behind Tiffany.

"You got to help me. He tried to eat me."

Tiffany sweatdropped.

Guilmon rubbed his eyes. "It's not my fault, your tail look like cotton candy." He whined.

Takato looks upset and Jeri points at Guilmon and yells.

"Ugh!"

Guilmon turned to the sound of Jeri's screams. He started to wag his tail. "You brought a friend instead."

Jeri grabs Guilmon and hugs him.

"Cute!"

Tiffany deadpan. "That was the opposite reaction I was expecting."

Takato tilted his head. "Did you say cute? You meant cool, didn't you?"

Guilmon chuckles. "I don't mind cute, but who is she?"

"Oops, I'm sorry."

Jeri grabs his hand and shakes it.

"I'm Jeri."

"I'm Guilmon, nice to meet cha. (He looks over at Takato) Is she your girlfriend?" He asked.

Takato started to stutrer. "Uh, well she's a friend."

Jeri didn't seem to notice. "Guilmon guess what? I've got a little present for you."

She reaches into her pocket and puts something on Guilmon's nose.

"I'm gonna put it right here." Jeri informed him.

She puts it on Guilmon's nose then moves away to show it's a flower sticker.

"Perfect."

Guilmon looks over at the others. "Not bad. What do guys think?"

"Great idea Jeri..." Tiffany nodded.

"It really brings out Guilmon scale tone." Tapirmon added. The ghost like digimon look like he was trying to make something up on the spot.

"It's cute...all right." Takato agreed nodding his head.

I can't believe I just said that.

Atop a building Renamon stands staring into the city.

I won the fight, why do I feel like I lost? Something doesn't feel right, something is missing.

Renamon sees Impmon run across another building.

"Now what is he up to?" She asked aloud.

Impmon looks down into a kids bedroom and sees two little kids pulling both arms of a teddy bear.

Humans, look at 'em. Dogs have more sense.

"Come on! It's my turn!" A boy shouted.

The girl shook her head. "No way, momma said he's mine!"

Ai barred his teeth. "Oh yeah? Well you gotta share!"

Impmon hears Ai's voice from the past.

"Impmon!"

"Huh?"

Impmon has a flashback to when he was that teddy bear.

"Mako is a bad boy and broke my toy, so go and teach him a lesson! Ya hear me?'

Impmon look puzzled. "Bad boy?"

"It was broken in the first place! Besides, what about the video game you took from me?" Mako asked angrily.

Ai frown. "I did it because you always take mine without my permission!"

"Yeah, but momma said I could use it and she's the boss, so take that fat face!" Mako yelled.

Ai shook her head. "You're a big liar! I'm gonna send Impmon after you and you can bet he's gonna find out the truth!"

Impmon looks between the two of them. "Huh?"

"Impmon! She's a big brat and a big, fat liar!"

"Don't believe that weasel! Now get him before he breaks something else!"

"Impmon!"

Mako pulls Impmon to him.

"Impmon!'"

Ai pulls Impmon toward her.

They argue until Impmon can't take it anymore.

"Knock it off!" He yelled.

End flashback.

In the window Impmon sees the kids rip the bear in half and start crying and he shudders.

"Hm?"

Impmon turns and sees Renamon.

"Well what?"

Renamon looks puzzled. "What is wrong with you?"

"Hm! Not a blasted thing toots, now toodles!"

Impmon jumps away.

Later that evening Impmon is walking next to a billboard humming something with Renamon following.

"Hm, quit following me!" He yelled at her.

"I have a question."

Impmon crossed his arms over his chest. "And you think I care? Actually I do care, surprised? I care because I'm sure it's something stupid!"

Renamon jumps of the billboard onto the rail with Impmon.

"Hm, I've learned not to expect much from you human loving digi-duds, but maybe there's hope for you darling, coming to yours truly for the answers. So tell me foxy, what can I do ya for?"

"Why don't you have a partner?" She asked.

Impmon starts to lose balance.

"Why should a digimon have a partner?" Renamon asks

Impmon shrugs. "You got me, no self-respecting digimon needs a partner specially a human."

"Are you sure?"

Impmon nods. "Of course I am, humans are selfish, I'd stay far away from them if I were you. They're trouble with a capital T. I'm sorry fox face, did I go too fast for you? Ah forget about it!"

Impmon jumps over to the edge.

"How can we digivolve or increase our strength unless we have a partner?"

Impmon chuckles. "Ah, come on! You not really buying that one? The power's inside of you! Forget all the rest!"

"How do I find it?"

Impmon didn't look like he knew the answer to that question. "Uh, I guess you're not very bright. Don't expect me to tell you what to do you gotta figure it out for yourself."

"I see, I think I get what you're trying to say.

"You get what I'm trying to say? You're just a know-it-all like the rest of them, 'I get it, I get it', well you're not Einstein and frankly you make me sick to my stomach!" He snarls

Renamon looks away from him. "I'll leave you alone then."

She turns and leaves jumping up buildings till she disappears.

"You'll wha?"

Impmon jumps down and back.

"Hey I got a lot more to say, don't ya want to hear? Ah, Ba Boom." He roars.

(Blaine and Julia's house)

The two kids looked up when their uncle walked inside the house.

Their uncle was wiping a bead of sweat of his forehead.

Julia walked over to him. "How was your day at work." She asked

"Long" He sighed.

"What happen" Blaine said aloud.

Their uncle shrugs. "The usual..."

Blaine and Julia exchange puzzled looks.

"You know dear, your nephew, and niece. Asked me where you worked today. But I completely forgot."

Their uncle frowns. "In a office." He announced. With that he grabbed the newspaper on the table and walked into his room. Closing the door behind him.

Outside Takato's bakery Yamaki is opening and closing his lighter.

"Hm, how quaint."

Renamon is standing on a building's outlet thing.

"Do I need Rika to fulfill my destiny?" Renamon asked.

In Rika's house she just gets back and her Grandma pokes her head in.

"You're back late today, where have you been? Hey would you mind running out and getting me some potatoes? I need them for a special recipe I'm making." She informed her.

"Why?" Rika asked.

"Well because, it wouldn't be potato soup without them. Aren't you hungry, dear?" Her Grandma asked.

Rika shook her head. "I hate potatoes, and I don't want any food."

"Hm..."

Rika opens her door , slams it shut, and then tosses her D-power in the trash again.

"Uh..."

She lies her head on the table. Her Grandma then opens the door.

"Would you like to talk about it?"

Rika doesn't answer.

"You barely ever speak to me, how am I supposed to know what you want? I'm trying to understand you, but you always treat me like I'm the enemy. I was your age once you know? If you just give me a chance I might be able to help. Please Rika just tell me what's wrong."

Rika shook her head again. "Just forget it, you wouldn't understand."

"Oh, maybe you're not old enough to understand this, but no one can make it in this world on their own. People are meant to be together, you're expecting way too much out of yourself, Rika."

Rika just lies there.

Back on the outlet thing.

I hate to admit it, but Impmon could be right. Renamon thought to herself.

Later that night in the park a digital field appears and a digimon jumps from tree to tree.

On the outlet Renamon sees the digital field.

"I must rely on the power within me, I am alone in this world."

In Rika's room her D-power glows in her trash can.

"Wha?"

She sees the glowing then just closes her eyes and covers her ears.

In the digital field Renamon stands there listening to the digimon screeching and from behind her Harpymon flies down and tries to claw Renamon, but Renamon jumps out of the way.

At the hideout Jeri is leaving.

"See ya."

Guilmon waves after her. "Bye-bye."

Tapirmon bows towards her. "It was a pleasure meeting you Miss. Jeri" He called after her.

Jeri smiles at the two digimon. "I'll come visit again."

Takato waves. "Oh, uh okay. Anytime."

Tiffany waves as well. "Guilmon definitely seems to like you." The blonde turns her head to Tapirmon. "What's with you bowing."

Tapirmon sighs. "When I was once apart of the grand jury. It was polite for us to bow to new people, or when they leave." He informs her.

Jeri leaves, and Guilmon starts to sneeze from the sticker on his nose.

"Guilmon, do you think she likes me"

Guilmon scratches his cheek. "Well."

Tiffany smiles and wraps her arm around Takato's neck. "Does Takato have a crush now?" She asked in a teasing manner.

Takato face turn pink. "Quit it Tiffany!"

The blonde laughs. "Sorry, I couldn't help it." She giggles. "You and Jeri be in loovve and all."

"Like how you and Blaine be in Loove?" Takato asked.

Tiffany face started to burn. "I can't believe you just said that. I don't have a crush on Blaine!"

"Sure you don't" Takato and Tapirmon said in unison.

"I can't believe your siding with him Tapirmon! Your supposed to be on my side" She cried.

Guilmon sneezes and Henry runs up.

"Hey Henry!"

"Did you catch up with that one creep dude?" Tiffany asked.

Henry shook his head. "He got away from me. Whoever he is he sure is sneaky."

Takato nods. "Yeah, I noticed."

"Wasn't he just really creepy?" She asked the two of them.

Henry nods. "He knew way too much about us."

Guilmon hears Harpymon screeching.

"Huh? Something the matter Guilmon?"

"A digimon" Tapirmon informed the three of them.

Guilmon runs to the fight.

"Not again" Takato said in surprise.

Terriermon jump off Henry's shoulder and follows to the fight.

"Wha" Henry called after him.

The three digimon race towards the digital feild.

The tamers quickly follow after their digimon.

In Rika's room the D-power is still glowing and Calumon is in the room.

"Oh, I'd better see what it wants."

Calumon jumps in the trash can knocking it down with her in it.

"Ooh, well it's not saying much but the light sure is pretty." She marvels.

Rika snatch the D-power from her. "Give it here!"

"Huh? Oh..."

Rika looks at it then puts it down.

"But Rika." Calumon whispers.

Rika covers her ears and closes her eyes again and Calumon picks up the D-power again.

"Whatever it said didn't go over very well."

She looks at Rika.

"Oh..."

At the digital field Takato and the others arrive.

"Renamon's in a fight!"

"Why is she fighting alone?" Tiffany asked. "Doesn't she know it's dangerous without a tamer?"

They see Harpymon flying down and trying to claw Renamon but Renamon is escaping and Takato checks Harpymon's data.

"Whoa it's Harpymon, that's one nasty digimon with a screech like nails down a chalkboard. Renamon's gonna have a tough time dealing with her Wind Seeker attack."

Henry looks around the area. "Rika!"

Tiffany looks around as well. "Where is she?"

Takato shook his head. "I don't see her anywhere."

Guilmon, Tapirmon Terriermon run in to help Renamon.

"Wind Seeker!"

Harpymon flies up, flaps her wings and then a blue blade flies at Guilmon, Tapirmon, and Terriermon but they all dodge it.

"Diamond Storm!"

Harpymon misses the attack the flies to Renamon while Renamon smacks Harpymon to the ground. From behind the mist Rika emerges.

Takato, Tiffany and Henry all were shock to her. "Hm?"

"Rika!"

"I don't believe it" Tiffany whispers.

"Just in time." Takato grinned.

"Hey, hey! Renamon, look who finally made an entrance." Terriermon shouted to her.

Renamon sees Rika and Rika looks at her as well.

Renamon jumps up and strikes Harpymon knocking her to the ground.

Impmon was right, I willed myself strength and it came.

Rika frowns. Renamon was powerful without my help, I knew she didn't want me.

"She's frozen like a statue." Takato whispers.

Tiffany shook her head. "Please don't tell me she is going to run away again."

"Isn't she gonna finish off Harpymon and load her data?" Henry asked.

"Uh..." Rika whispers.

"I could load the data of every opponent I fight and take them apart one by one."

Renamon closes her eyes.

"But what's the point after it's all over?" Renamon asks aloud.

Harpymon struggles to lift her head then gets up.

Everyone gasps. "Huh!"

Renamon opens her eyes to see Harpymon ready to attack.

"Wind Seeker!"

The blasts blows Renamon back and on the ground.

Rika yells. "Uh!"

Henry shook his head. "Oh no!"

"Rika you got to do something!" Tiffany shouted.

Renamon groaned in pain. "Uh..."

"Oh, uh!" Rika whispers.

Harpymon flies to Renamon and starts clawing at her but Renamon moves to the other side before Harpymon can.

"Huh."

Rika reaches for her card case then notices it's not there.

"Oh no." Rika whispers.

She has a flashback to the night before when Calumon put her card near here then she just goes to sleep,

End flashback.

Renamon is still turning from Harpymon's claws while Rika looks around for something to help her with.

"Uh."

She grabs a stick then runs to Harpymon.

"Rika come back!" Henry yelled.

"You could get hur!" Tiffany cried after her.

Rika takes the sharp end and stabs Harpymon right in the back making her scream and turn to Rika.

"Rika!" Takato yelled.

"It's going to attack!" Tiffany shouted.

"No!" Henry shouts.

"Oh, oh, oh."

Calumon's forehead symbol glows.

"Digivolution." Was heard from Rika's D-power.

"Renamon digivolve to..."

"Kyubimon!"

Harpymon flies back.

"Wind Seeker!"

"Fox Tail Inferno!"

Harpymon's blade doesn't even leave before Kyubimon's fire burns Harpymon making her scream and turn into data, and Kyubimon just let's her data flow away.

"You're not loading her data?" Rika asked.

Kyubimon shook her head. "No."

"But, why not?"

"Because I don't need it anymore."

Rika looks confused. "I don't understand."

"I don't need an opponent's data, because I have you."

"Uh, because of me?" Rika whispers.

"Rika, you just saved my life. Why did you do it?" Kyubimon asked.

"Someone had to do it, you saved my life once."

"You were just repaying a debt?"

Rika shook her head. "No, that's not what I meant. You're my partner."

"And that's what partners do. We protect each other, is that what you're saying?"

Rika nods. "Mm hm, something like that. We'll watch each others back."

"Uh...I don't get it." Takato said puzzled.

"It's obvious they were worried about each other, problem is they're too hard-headed to admit it. The other ones playing silly games until they drop." Henry informed him.

Tiffany nods. "Those two are friends. But they just have funny ways of showing that they care about each other."

"Being honest with each other would be too hard." Takato chuckles.

The six of them laugh.

Later that night.

Takato looks over at Guilmon. As he was taking him home to the hideout. "I'm always honest with you, aren't I Guilmon?"

Guilmon nods. "Yeah, you told me I was cute."

Henry chuckles. "No way, he must've meant you were cool, right Takato?"

Tiffany shook her head. "No he meant cute. I was there and heard him say it myself. He was trying to impress his love Jeri."

Henry laughs while Takato chased after a laughing Tiffany.

They leave.

"Can't they see the danger? Data walking around like living, breathing creatures. I cannot allow this obscenity to continue. There is simply too much at stake. I'm sorry children, your time is up."

Yamaki laughs.

(Blaine's and Julia's house)

Every thing in the house was quiet. Not a single noise could be heard. Everyone had gone to sleep.

Until Gatomon and Pasanmon appeared in the dark living room.

"Okay let's start looking around in his study." Gatomon suggested.

Pansamon nodded.

The two feline digimon raced over to the study.

They both started to open draws. Until Pansamon gasped.

"What is it?" Gatomon asked.

Pansamon held up a file. "Project Rebirth..."

Gatomon open the file. Three pictures fell from the folder.

One was off a girl with bright red hair. It was cut short and her eyes were bright hazel. She wore a blue t-shirt and a silver leggings. In her arms was a white dog like digimon.

The second picture was of a boy with hazel hair. He had silver eyes and a grin. He wore an athletic green t-shirt and black gym shorts. Standing behind him was a Leomon.

Finally in the third picture was a blonde girl they both new. And the picture look like it was taken recently. It was off Tiffany Jane holding Tapirmon...
