It was a beautiful moonlit evening as we saw a young twelve-year-old boy with pale skin boy with shoulder-length white hair and red eyes wearing a grey leather jacket over a black shirt with orange flames and black pants.

This young boy is named Dewey Durham who was currently walking off the large stage at Digimon card game tournament as he lost the final round against his opponent and into the front of the crowd.

"Here we have the winner of tournament after an close match between Dewey Durham and Rika Nonaka with the winner being Rika the Digimon Queen," A guy with black hair said holding an mic in front of Rika who was holding her trophy.

"Well it looks like I lost this match tournament but it was fun," Dewey said as he turned away and began walking away from the crowd as he felt eyes on his back.

'So he the great Digi Knight he might be my worthy opponent since Ryo.' Rika thought as she watched Dewey retreating form from her place on the stage before walking away herself.

Later that evening Dewey was seen outside of the building talking woman with long black wavy hair and brown eyes that was wearing an love green dress, black leggings, and white boots. This was his Grandmother Oliva Durham his father's mother but she didn't look as old as you would think she was with the makeup she wears.

"So how was the tournament Dew?" Oliva asked.

"It was tough made it to the finals, but was defeat by Rika the Digimon queen," He explained as he got into the car on left side back seat.

"Well at least you gave it your best shot," Oliva said as she got into the driver's seat.

Dewey nodded as he buckled up his seatbelt."Yeah I did give it my best attempt to win anyway thanks for picking me up grandma," He said smiling at his grandmother.

"No problem Dew we better get your home for bed it getting late," She said as she drove off away from where the tournament was taking placer earlier this evening.

Dewey nodded as he closed his briefly as he relaxed during the ride back home where his family was waiting for him to return from tonight's tournament.

It was around three hours later when Dewey and his grandmother arrived at an large mansion with an lovely swimming pool on the side of the house.

"Again no problem now get on inside and go to bed your parents and brother our most likely asleep already," His grandma said.

"Yeah see you later," Dewey said heading on inside of the house and saw that his family left on the kitchen light for him.

'At least they made sure I had light to see.' He thought as he made his way upstairs after turning the light on.

Dewey walked into his room and placed his card fighter reader on his desk along with his cards, before heading over to his dresser and pulling out his pajamas for tonight.

As the got changed in a purple silk shirt and red shorts. He noticed a strange glow coming from his desk and walked over to see a strange blue card which had a pixilated yellow D which has a blue dinosaur that resembled an Augmon.

"What is this card?" He questioned as he picked it up and swiped it through the side of his card reader as random numbers appear on the screen before it morph into purple and white decide with an purple strap.

'What just happened?' He thought examining his new device as he turned it on he saw yellow and brown Digi egg.

Dewey rubbed his eyes and yawned figuring that maybe this was just from the exhaustion from the tough and long tournament he was patriating in dealer this evening and went over to his bed to go asleep.

However unknown to Dewey as he was fast asleep with his D-ark resting on his desk the screen was glowing white as the Digi egg began to hatch.

The following morning Dewey began to stir awake as he felt something brushing as he opened his eyes he saw a strange creature with a long serpentine yellow body with green eyes, purple and red tips at the end of the spikes on the back of its head and brown underbody.

"No your not dreaming," Kyokyomon said in an male voice.

Dewey quickly sat up in surprise from the creature talking all of a sudden. He the notices the D-ark sitting on his desk and gets up and walks over to see the Digi egg was hatched.

"So it wasn't my imagination last night," He said.

"No it wasn't Dewey," Kyokyomon replied floating next to Dewey's face.

"You know my name?" He asked.

"Yes of course I do because your my partner," Kyokyomon replied.

Dewey touched Kyokyomon head. "So you're saying that your saying that I'm your tamer."

"Yeah."

"Dew breakfast is ready!" His mother called out.

"I see you later after breakfast Kyokyomon," Dewey said leaving his room to eat some breakfast before spending the day with his new Digimon since it was the weekend meaning now school.

Here we have the prologue of the story Digimon Tamers: The Digi Knight. In this chapter Dewey loses to Rika in the Digimon card tournament and meets his Digimon partner after discovering an random blue card. Next chapter will be the first episode of Digimon Tamers which takes place an year after Rika was made Digimon queen. I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Instead of waiting for me to have the first three chapter prewritten I published this was earlier then plan while I start drafting the next chapter and will try to have an new chapter up each Saturday or Sunday.
