Leomon led Sunny, Coronamon, and the professor out of the Domain of the Sea and into the Domain of Ice. A snow-covered mountainous area where there was no static sky, a rare spot in the digital world, at least on the Iliad server.

Sunny:(shivers)

Coronamon: Mmmm...

Sunny: What's w-wrong?

Coronamon: We should have fought them!

Sunny: Who?

Coronamon: First of all, that big hunk of stupid that ate us. Then fish sticks and their partner.

Sunny: And Leomon too, I guess?

He doesn't bat an eye at the two, whereas the professor seems concerned at the rising tension.

Coronamon: Ehh... He's cool...ish. But the others-

Sunny: The others might be cool if you tried making friends instead of enemies.

Coronamon: They already are our enemies! If they weren't lazy, they'd reset me and, at best take me back...

Coronamon: I don't want any part of their nonsense. The less of them the better!

Sunny: The less of them?

Sunny:(achoo)

Coronamon: We kick their butts, we'll never have to see them again, because they'll know who's king!

Sunny: If they pick a fight, we'll end it... I'm not comfortable-

Coronamon: With taking action? Reacting lets someone else choose, acting lets us choose!

Coronamon: I know you get frustrated like me at all of those punks! Stop being a wimp and let it out!

Sunny:(shivers) I'm done with this conversation...

Agumon: Perhaps we should rest, you don't seem to be doing well, my boy...

Sunny: I-I'll be fine...

He takes point with Leomon, charging onward as the stoic hero glances at the growing gap between partner and Digimon.

The moon still stood high as the gang found themselves atop a mountain overlooking a river.

Sunny: Wh-where exactly are you leading u-us?

Leomon: Leading? I've already led you out of the Domain of the Sea. You've been following me as I wonder ever since.

Sunny/Coronamon/Agumon:... What?

Coronamon:(heats up) Alright! Please tell me we can beat him up now!?

Sunny:...

Sunny: Wh-why tell us this now, and n-not part ways?

Leomon: I felt concerned you three wouldn't survive these harsh conditions. So I decided to stay silent until we were in a better area.

Agumon: Thank you for your kindness.

Coronamon:(rolls eyes)

Sunny: Achoooo!

Sunny: C-Can we find shelter for the night? I need to warm up before I-

The crunching of snow caused the sharp-sensed Digimon to dart their gaze to the approaching foes.

Two familiar faces walked up, unfazed by the cold.

Lunamon:(waves) Hiiiiii!

Coronamon: Well, well, well. If it isn't floppy ears. You know... With how much you've been popping up in other Domains...

Coronamon: It's almost weird to find you in yours.

Sunny: L-Luna... Hi.

Luna: Hmph. You're coming with me, you country hic.

Coronamon: So you can reset me? I don't think so. Nuh-uh.

Coronamon: Time to show you some heat!

Sunny: Knock it off, Coronamon! We don't have to fight yet!

Coronamon: There's no changing their minds!

Sunny: Let me t-try...!

Coronamon: Tch... Fine. Whatever.

Sunny: Luna... I can't let you reset Coronamon.

Luna: If you come in quietly, we can work something out.

Sunny: Why-

Luna: No. You don't get to make any sort of counteroffer or ask for anything.

Luna: Not after you made us chase you across the Digital world, and especially after you threw Lunamon's digicore!

Luna: Do you have any idea how vital these things are to a Digimon!?

Sunny: I-I'm sorry. But hear me o-out...

The cold was getting to Sunny, he was shivering all his energy away yet he tried staying strong.

Luna: I said no!

Luna:(holds out Digivice) Last chance...

Sunny:....

Sunny: All I want to ask... Is our right to be free.

His shivering momentarily stops.

Sunny: But if you want to deny us that... Then we'll fight for it!

Coronamon: Finally!

The two humans prepare to evolve their partners.

"Standing By"

Sunny: Program Launch!

"Coronamon..." "Lunamon..."

"Digivolve to...!"

"Firamon!" "Lekismon!"

Lekismon and Firamon leaped towards each other. Firamon tried to bite into the moon rabbit but she quickly shut his jaw with a uppercut.

Firamon: Urgh!

Getting knocked into the air, Firamon used his back legs to kick off Lekismon and fly up into the air.

Firamon: "Fira Dive"!!!

Engulfing himself in fire, Firamon dives down towards Lekismon who leaps up to meet him with a kick.

Lekismon: "Moon Night Kick"!

(WHABOOOOM)

It was plain as day, these two were evenly matched.

Lekismon:(giggles)

Firamon: What are you laughing at?

Lekismon: It's funny, how even we are! But don't worry, I'll win anyway!

Sunny: We need to shift things up!

Attacking with fire, Lynxmon found Bitmon's armor was more durable than he originally thought.

Though they shifted their tactics and forms, the two were still evenly matched.

Sunny: Why are you trying to stop us? We're looking for a way home!

Luna: You'd abandon all these Digimon? Leaving them to die in the upcoming war?

Sunny: All this talk of a war... How do you know for a fact that there will be one?!

Sunny: How do you know the other side wants war?!

Luna: I only know what I've been told... But even if there's a chance that it's a lie.

Luna: I'm not going to put the lives of all these Digimon on the line!

Luna: Like it or not, you've become a part of this conflict. And I won't let you just abandon them all!!

Bitmon shifts back into Lekismon as Luna's digicore begins to glow.

Lekismon: Our hearts have no warmth for deserters... They're frozen solid towards you!

"Evo.Exe Re.Loaded"

Sunny/Lynxmon:?!

Luna pulls the trigger on her D-Modder. Motherboard wiring made of energy spreads down her body and into the ground to grab data across the Digi space.

Armor, dance, archery, ice, darkness, the crescent moon.

Pulling them all in to create a bullet, which fires out and shatters into several pieces that bombard Lekismon, upgrading and evolving her into.

"Lekismon Digivolve to...!"

"Crescemon!!"

Agumon: Oh no! Crescemon, an Ultimate level Digimon...

Leomon: This is a battle they cannot win.

Sunny:(coughs)

Lynxmon rushes towards Crescemon who immediately shows him the difference in their speed, as she dances around all his attacks.

Luna: Shatter them and show them the true meaning of Frostbite!

With her weapon, the "Nova Luna", Crescemon begins slashing at Lynxmon who is helpless to defend himself.

Crescemon:(wicked giggle)

Shifting back into Firamon, he takes flight but Crescemon could easily give chase with her fantastic leaping power. She slammed him back down to only perform another attack.

Crescemon: "Lunatic Dance"!

Dancing around Firamon as a blur, Crescemon riddles him with cut after cut.

Sunny: Tch!

He races over to Firamon and gets in between him and Crescemon who stops her weapon an inch away from his face.

Sunny: If it's true war is coming... Then why aren't you trying to stop it?!

Sunny: There will be casualties no matter what if you don't!

Luna: There's no stopping this war!

Sunny: Is that a fact that you confirmed!?!

Luna:(glares)

Sunny: I won't stand here and be criticized for not wanting to fight in something I'm told secondhand is going to happen!!

Firamon felt it once more, this swelling power close to bursting, but again, something was missing, something was preventing the final push from evolving.

Sunny: You might be Tina's friend! B-But... Th-that does-(coughs)

Luna:?

Sunny:(COUGHS)

Breaking down coughing, Sunny collapsed onto his knees, with great difficulty breathing as all the air in his lungs was getting coughed out.

Firamon: Hey! What's wrong, Sunny?!

Luna: The idiot got himself sick in this cold.

Sunny:(panting)...

Sunny:(shivering) Th-This isn't over...

He struggles to stand.

Luna: It is. You can't fight.

???: She's right. Come with us and we'll get you back to full health.

The leader of the Olymposs XII and his partner arrived on the scene.

Luna: What are you two doing here?

Dario: Iliad asked us to come to this location. I now see why.

Firamon: Tch! Let me guess... To reset me!?

Ageiomon: Do you really wanna see how desperate the situation is that we would consider that?

Ageiomon: Show them...

Using his D-Modder, Dario shows them a holographic image of the two Digital worlds.

Dario: I work for an organization meant to keep an eye on the Digital world.

Dario: What you see right now is the two Servers smashed into each other.

Dario: It was stopped by the organization I work for. But that's only a temporary measure.

Dario: Iliad and Yggdrasil are dead set on fighting, thus once they've regained their power, they will fight.

Dario: The fight will cause all digital devices to go back into our world, potentially destroying ours if they affect the nukes.

Dario: That's three worlds in danger!

Dario: Does that put things into perspective?

Sunny:(panting)

Sunny:(gulp)... We...sh-should still try to stop it all! N-not blindly... F-follow...

Dario:...(sigh) Ageiomon.

Ageiomon: I know.

Joining the battle, Ageiomon was stopped by Leomon who joined the free.

Leomon: I won't stand by as you gang up on these two.

Ageiomon: Then forgive me for what I must do for the good of the Digital world.

Agumon: Firamon! Bring Sunny here! He's in no condition to fight!

Firamon: Right-

Crescemon then attacks as Sunny shoves Firamon aside to help him dodge.

Firamon: That's it!

Firamon: "Fira Bomb"!!

(BOOOM)

Waving away Firamon's attack, Crescemon combines her weapon and creates a bow-gun.

Crescemon: "Dark Archery"!

Firamon: Agh!

Firing an arrow of darkness, Crescemon knocks Firamon onto the edge of a cliff.

Firamon: Ugghh...

Sunny: Firamon...

Running over to his partner, Sunny saw the cliff give out under Firamon's weight, causing him to plunge towards the river. Sunny leaped off to try and catch him, which he believed he could in his delusional state.

Agumon: GYA!?

Agumon leaped after the duo, with Leomon noticing and leaping after them.
