It was a bright and sunny day in Tokyo, Japan. People were seen walking and minding their own business.

As people kept walking, a boy with short, well-kept red hair, had light chocolate brown eyes behind a pair of black rim glasses. The boy had on a grey dress shirt and blue pants. He wore black dress shoes, and had a black messenger bag. He also had a purple watch that was obscured by the sleeve of his shirt. This was 16-year-old Yuma Izumi, better known to his family as Yu.

Yuma: Now then I should make it to school on time despite the mess this morning. Honestly, mother needs to remember that I am no longer 5 years old.

When Yuma said that he felt his phone buzzing and took it out and saw it was his mother.

Yuma: What could she possibly need now?

Yuma then answers the phone and hears his mother.

Yuma's mother: Yuma honey are you okay do you need me to drive to school?

Yuma: I am fine, mother, I've already arrived at the Scramble Crossing. I should be at the academy in half an hour.

Yuma's mother: Okay, Yuma just call mama if you need anything and also remember to look both ways when walking through the scramble.

Yuma's mother said when Yuma bit back a groan, he knew his mother was worried, but he was not a helpless child anymore.

Yuma: I will mother, try not to make a mess of the set today.

Yuma's mother: Love you Yuma tata~

Yuma's mother said in a cheery voice and ended the call.

Yuma: Now then I should be on my way before the first period starts.

Yuma then sees the light on the traffic light turn blue and everyone starts walking. While everyone kept walking a kid riding a skateboard wearing the same school uniform pants and black sneakers and having a school uniform jacket tied around his waist with a shirt that had paint stains that covered fuck shit up as well as having headphones on his neck and a hat on his and finally a watch and wrist band made of beads was seen riding around the people. 

This boy was Yasu Anderson, a half American and half Japanese who is 16 years old and loves skateboarding. Right now Yasu was skating around the crowd and heading over to the academy.

Yasu: On your left.

Yasu said as he passed someone and then kept riding his skateboard.

Yasu: If I keep this up I will be over at the academy in half an hour but if I push it I make 20 minutes.

Yasu kept riding his board and then started to push harder gaining more speed. Yasu then sees a bench and smiles and rides over there and performs an ollie and then transitions to a grind and then finishes it with a kickflip and lands it.

Yasu: Ha still got my moves.

Yasu then keeps up the pace and continues riding.

Tsukishima General High School

Outside the gate, students were seen walking through the gates and chatting. Yuma was seen at the gate ready to walk in until he heard the sounds of wheels coming from behind and saw it was Yasu who then stopped and put on his jacket to cover his shirt and grabbed his board and started walking towards the gate and as he kept walking he saw Yuma.

Yasu: Yo, Izumi, how are you doing?

Yuma: Anderson, did you actually bother to do your homework? Or are you here to ask me for mine?

Yasu then looked at Yuma and did a playful gasp.

Yasu: Ouch that hurts man besides I may be a skater but I am not that dumb but it would be nice if you could check my homework if I did it right.

Yasu asked with a pleading smile while Yuma sighs.

Yuma: Did it ever occur to you that is what your textbooks are for?

Yasu: I kinda left it at school and had to use the internet to look up the information.

Yasu said Yuma just looked at him and shook his head.

Yuma: Honestly Anderson, for someone who claims to care about their schoolwork, you're rather careless with your materials.

Yasu gave a nervous smile and scratched his head before giving a small frown.

Yasu: Uhh, Izumi heads up, miss problem child is coming your way.

Yasu said as he pointed his finger towards a girl with long brown hair, and green eyes wearing a girl school uniform and necklace around her neck. This was Kana Hoshi, a 16-year-old girl who was also the school bully of Tsukishima General High School but her biggest target was Yuma.

Kana: Four Eyes, on time as always......

Yuma: Good morning Hoshi.

Yasu: Good luck Izumi.

Yasu then walks away and into the school not wanting to get into whatever conflict that was about to happen. It was now just Kana and Yuma and right now Yuma was just looking at her and trying to say something but Kana cut him off.

Kana: Where exactly do you think you're going, Four Eyes?

Yuma: To class, I do not wish to be late. I assume that you would not wish to be late either Hoshi.

Kana then looks angry and gets up close to Yuma and grabs him by his shirt.

Kana: Okay Four Eyes where's my homework and did you make sure that the teacher doesn't suspect it was written by you or are we going to have problems.

Kana said to which Yuma nodded and then dropped him.

Yuma: I fail to see why you require me to do your homework Hoshi, you are plenty smart enough to do it yourself.

Kana looks at Yuma and looks at him coldly.

Kana: I got stuff to do that I don't have time for homework.

Kana said which Yuma sighs and gets up and then takes out the homework from his bag and gives it to Kana which she snatches it from him.

Kana: Good now get out of here I don't need you for anything else for now so beat it.

Kana said that Yuma simply walks away while checking his watch to see that he could still make it to class on time.

Classroom

Yuma managed to get to class on time and then heads to his desk where he saw Yasu listening to music. Yuma then sits down which Yasu notices Yuma and pauses his music and speaks to him.

Yasu: Hey, Izumi looks like you managed to get out of Miss Problem child's claws.

Yasu said while Yuma just rolled his eyes.

Yuma: You seem to underestimate my ability to deal with Hoshi, I have known her since I was a child.

Yasu: Yet, somehow she acts like a total jerk to anyone who comes in contact or is near her. I mean seriously she looks like she has a lot of anger in her and likes to blow off steam whoever is near or especially you.

Yasu said as Yuma adjusted his glasses.

Yuma: Hoshi is a difficult individual, but she has the capability of kindness. She and I were friends when we were younger.

Yuma said that which Yasu's jaw dropped and looked at him as if he was serious.

Yasu: You are kidding right? You were friends with Miss Problem child as kids? I mean really she used to be your friend? Then why does she treat you like a servant now? Shouldn't you two be close friends and whatnot?

Yuma: I highly doubt you're still friends with the kids you were friends with back in America. People grow apart, things change.

Yasu: I mean yeah you got a point but still you two were born here and were friends since you were kids shouldn't you guys be good friends?

Yasu said Yuma just sighs and then cleans his glasses with a cloth from his glasses case.

Yuma: I fail to see why you care so much Anderson, after all last time I checked you and I are barely acquainted.

Yasu: Yeah, but you seem to be the only person who actually got your head together. I mean you are blunt man and I find it interesting.

Yuma: My mother always taught me that honesty is the best course of action, even if people don't always like the answer given. It's what people need to hear.

Yasu: Okay, well you do you man. Anyway, can you please check my homework? I will buy you lunch or heck I can even get you something you want that is within reason.

Yasu pleaded to Yuma for him to check his homework.

Yuma: I do not take bribes Anderson, but since your desperation is rather unsightly, if you promise to remember your textbooks I suppose we can call it even.

Yasu nodded, then pulled up the textbook and showed it to Yuma and then opened it.

Yasu: Fair deal Izumi anyway I got the textbook out so can you help me now?

Yuma nodded and took out his textbook and then started checking Yasu's homework and when he saw it he saw a couple of mistakes but enough that it could be fixed.

Yuma: That should be everything, now then we should focus on class, the teacher should be here soon.

Yasu: Thanks Izumi I owe you one.

Yasu then fixed the mistakes just in time before their teacher showed up and asked for the homework. The teacher then looked at the students and then started class.

5 hours later

Classes were over for today and students were walking out and heading home. Yuma was seen walking out of the school. While he kept walking he found Kana waiting for him again.

Yuma: Hello Hoshi, I'm assuming everything went well?

Kana: Yeah got a nice A plus from you Four Eyes. Now I need your notes for the test coming this week. So do you have a copy of them?

Kana asked which Yuma again nodded and takes out a copy of his notes and once again Kana snatched it from him.

Kana: Always prepared just how I like it. These notes will come in handy for the test now. I got what I need from you.

Kana said that Yuma simply adjusted his glasses before he walked past Kana down the hallway. While Yuma keeps walking he sees Yasu ready to head out. Yasu then turns to Yuma and waves.

Yasu: Hey, IzumiI got my textbook in my bag so I kept my end of the deal anyway. I was wondering if you would be willing to let me take pictures of your notes for the test this week because my notes are not that great. I mean I wrote down the keys and what not but I don't know if my notes are okay.

Yasu said while Yuma sighed and looked at him.

Yuma: You zoned out in class again didn't you?

Yasu: Not that much, just zoned out to the last part and forgot to write that down. It's only the last part I swear. I can show you that I am not lying.

Yasu then pulled out his notebook and showed it to Yuma and he was indeed telling the truth though he could see that Yasu really needed to be more focused so he didn't need to be asked to see his notes.

Yuma: Please try and make it quick, I have important matters to attend to.

Yasu: Got it.

Yuma then gives him his notes and then Yasu writes down the missing stuff for his notes and then hands it back.

Yasu: Okay there all done well I am off. Later Izumi.

Yasu then puts his notebook in his bag and starts heading out of the school which Yuma did the same.

City of Tokyo

After leaving school Yuma was walking down the city and as he kept walking he gets a call and checks his phone to see it was his father.

Yuma: Hello? Is there an issue father?

Yuma then answers the phone and hears father.

Yuma's Father: Hey, Yu how are you doing?

Yuma: As fine as I can be, school was the usual process.

Yuma said he heard his father chuckle a bit until he got serious.

Yuma's Father: Yu I was checking around Tokyo on the monitor another spike appeared. Seems like it will be appearing near the arcade. I need you to get there fast before the situation escalates.

Yuma's father said to which Yuma nodded.

Yuma: Understood, Candlemon and I will ensure that we neutralize the threat before too much damage is done.

Yuma's Father: Just make sure that the public doesn't get caught up with the target. The last thing we need is for the whole city to panic. Anyway, stay safe and good luck Yu.

Yuma nodded and ended the call and then raised his left wrist that had a medium-large sized watch on it that was purple with green parts on it.

Yuma tapped the touchscreen as the watch powered on before opening a map labeled "Digi-Tracer" as a map of Tokyo appeared with a route that led directly to the arcade.

Yuma: Now then, let the games begin.

Yuma then started running and headed towards the arcade.

Arcade

Inside the arcade, people were seen playing video games ranging from racing, fighting, sports, etc. While everyone was having fun we see Yasu playing a shoot gaming involving insects.

Yasu: Ha eat this you maggots!

Yasu as he was shooting oversized maggots. Yasu was having the time of his life as well as the rest of the people in the arcade but as everyone continued to play all of a sudden all the arcade machines froze and started to glitch.

Yasu: Huh? What the heck! I was just about to beat the high score!

Yasu said a bit angry after getting so close to beating the high score on the machine. Suddenly a roar was heard through all the arcade machines which got everyone confused about what was happening.

Yasu: Okay, this is getting strange.

Yasu said that all of sudden all the arcade machines turn off and then turn back on causing all the arcade machines to have a bright white screen that then blasted out bright light making everyone cover their eyes. The light then dimmed down and everyone rubbed their eyes and once they opened them they saw a giant red beetle-like monster in the arcade.

Everyone in the arcade just stares at it until one of the arcade goers scream which everyone did scream as well which made the red beetle monster roar.

Red Beetle Monster: ROOAAARRR!

Everyone in the arcade then started to run and head to the exit but as they did they saw the Red Beetle Monster was blocking the exit.

Yasu: It's blocking the exit, we are trapped!

Yasu said panicking as well as the other people in the arcade. The Red Beetle Monster then looks at the people in the arcade and starts to walk towards them making them fear for their lives but as the creature gets closer.

????: LAVA LOOGIE!!!

A small ball of fire was launched into the back of the beetle monster as it turned around to face Yuma, who had what appeared to be a living candle that was up to his knees in height.

Yuma: It appears we're dealing with a Kuwagamon, do you think you can handle it, Candlemon?

Yuma asked his Digimon partner as he adjusted his glasses while looking at the apps on his Digiwatch.

Candlemon: He's Champion level, but with you backing me up it should be no problem!

Candlemon said that he then saw that the Kuwagamon was looking at both Yuma and Candlemon very angry and then roared.

Kuwagamon: ROOAARRR!

Yuma: How unsightly, now then Candlemon, try to restrain him with your wax. I'll be on standby with Data Skill Cards.

Candlemon nodded and then saw that the Kuwagamon was ready to attack.

Kuwagamon: ROOARRR! (Scissor Arms!)

Kuwagamon charges at Candlemon ready to use its pincers on him but Candlemon bounces into the air before taking aim.

Candlemon: Paraffin Paralyzer!!

Candlemon shot multiple globs of hot wax that impacted Kuwagamon's body as it felt it lose movement in its body from the hot wax hardening on his body. Kuwagamon gets mad and roars so loud that he breaks free from the wax. Kuwagamon looks over at Candlemon and charges at him again.

Kuwagamon: ROOOAAARRR! (Power Guillotine!)

Kuwagamon then tries to slice Candlemon in half with the pincers on its face. Yuma quickly opened an app labeled "Digi-Skills" before a menu with cards appeared. Yuma clicked on one as the Digiwatch activated.

Digiwatch: Will-O-Wisp Shield!

A ring of purple flames encircled Candlemon before it formed a dome of purple fire that protected Candlemon from Kuwagamon's attack. When Kuwagamon bit down on the shield with his pincers, the shield burst before the flames wrapped around the bigger Digimon, burning it with ghostly fire.

Candlemon: Thanks Yuma! I know I'm in good hands with you!

Yuma: What are friends for? Now get ready, our little friend is certainly not ready to give up quite yet.

While the fight continued Yasu was seen looking at the whole event and decided to record what was happening to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

Yasu: Okay, this is just freaky.

Yasu said as he then saw Yuma and Candlemon continuing to fight Kuwagamon.

Candlemon: Looks like my attacks are only barely phasing him! We might need more power, partner!

Yuma: Right, I'll activate the Digivolution App. Get ready, Candlemon!

Candlemon nodded before he dodged another pincer attack, but was grazed by the attack as he was sent rolling across the ground. Kuwagamon flew towards Yuma who noticed the approaching Digimon.

Yuma: How bothersome....

Yuma rolled out of the way of the Digimon before Candlemon got back in front of him.

Candlemon: Yuma! Get ready! He's coming back again!

Candlemon sees Kuwagamon going for another attack and raises his claws at him.

Kuwagamon: RRROOAAARRR! (Crunch Arm!)

Kuwagamon then thrusts it claws at Candlemon ready to crush him but a circle appears underneath Candlemon.

Digiwatch: Digivolution Activate!

Candlemon: Candlemon Digivolve to.....

Candlemon was engulfed in light as his body started to grow and change into a more humanoid form that had the appearance of a mage.

Wizardmon: WIZARDMON!!!!

Wizardmon sees Kuwagamon claw ready to crush him until Wizardmon raises his staff.

Wizardmon: Blink Breeze!!

A powerful blast of wind was fired from Wizardmon's staff that slammed into Kuwagamon's chest, sending him flying backwards.

Yuma: We shouldn't risk prolonging this fight any longer, Wizardmon, are you ready?

Wizardmon: Ready as always, Yuma.

Both Yuma and Wizardmon see Kuwagamon trying to get back up from the attack as he once again raises his staff.

Wizardmon: Electro Squall!!!!

A large thunder cloud appeared above Kuwagamon before it released an intense lightning strike that rained down on Kuwagamon. Kuwagamon burst into code that was sent back to the Digital World.

Yuma: Another job well done Wizardmon, now we should probably report back to father.

Wizardmon: Yes, but first one last loose end must be tied up first.

Wizardmon then raises his staff and shoots a lightning bolt at Yasu causing his phone to be destroyed.

Wizardmon: No photography or video please, we are professionals and our missions are not for entertainment.

Yasu: My phone! You could just ask me to delete the video! I would have done it after you saved all of our lives!

Yuma: I fail to see why you needed to record us in the first place, Anderson.

Yasu: I thought I was either dreaming or this was some kind of sick prank!

Wizardmon: A prank? You think that Digimon was a childish prank? You think I am a figment of your imagination?

Yasu: Okay when you put it like that yeah that sounds stupid but still you didn't need to destroy my phone. Anyway, what the heck is a Digimon and why did it attack the arcade?

Yuma: Digimon, Digital Monsters. Creatures that inhabit a place known as the Digital World that exists parallel to earth. My partner, Wizardmon, is from that world.

Yuma said which Yasu looks shocked and then turns to Wizardmon.

Yasu: I see but wasn't this guy a candle before turning into a wizard?

Yuma: Yes that was his Rookie form, this is his Champion form.

Wizardmon: Us Digimon get stronger from absorbing data or through the strong emotions of our human partners. This process is called Digivolution.

Yasu then understood what Wizardmon said and then asked a question.

Yasu: I see, is it temporary or permanent for Digivolution?

Yuma: Some Digimon choose to remain in their stronger forms, although ones with human partners tend to revert to their weaker forms from exhaustion or simply wishing to be of a smaller stature.

Yasu: Okay cool now time for the real questions. Izumi, what are you no better than that who are you? I mean I never saw Digimon before in my life yet here you are with one. What exactly is going on?

Yasu asked which Yuma sighed before he turned to Wizardmon who nodded. Wizardmon waved his staff as a piece of paper appeared in Yasu's pocket. Yasu then takes it out and saw an address.

Yasu: An address?

Yuma: If you want answers, go to that address on the weekend. I do not have time to sit here and explain everything to you, Anderson.

Yasu just looks at the paper and then at Yuma and Wizardman before nodding.

Yasu: Okay, got it well this was a very interesting day for me. Well, see you later Izumi.

Yasu said before grabbing his bag and then leaving the arcade.

Yuma: Now then we should return to base and report to father, although for a spike like this to occur in such a public place is rather troubling.

Wizardmon: Yes it is, now then we should hurry back. Your mother is probably worried sick about you being late.

Yuma nodded and both Wizardmon walked out of the arcade and left.

KLigers98: Okay, going to say that was cool and also what other secrets are being hidden from the populace of Tokyo with Digimon coming to earth. Also, I wonder how Yasu will do when he gets the full scope of what's happening in Tokyo because my guess is he going to be blown away. So Tojamaru what are your thoughts on this?

Tojamaru: Earth and the Digital World have always been connected, it appears that once again their connection has only grown stronger. Now it's up to a new group of Digimon Tamers to protect both the Earth and the Digital World from whatever may threaten it. The only question is, how long will Yuma have to fight on his own?
