Chapter 18
Together Again... are they?

Takuya let out a sigh of defeated, "I never imagine that Alice would be our enemy; worst part of it is shes one of the Generals, and she have digimon partner--what is it call again?"

"Cheshiremon." Takari answered.

"Cheshiremon. Cheshiremon. Cheshiremon--like the one in Alices Adventure in Wonderland?"

The female brunette nodded.

"Cheshiremon, huh kinda reminds me of Takari."

"What do you mean Takuya-niichan?" Tomoki finally decided to join in the conversation, letting out the question that running to everyones mind right now.

"Well you see in that dreamland everything is like in Alices world, you know Wonderland." Izumi nodded, quietly telling to her boyfriend that shes listening. "And there you are guys, wearing their clothes and acting like them; like Takari, her version there is the sleazy Cheshire cat."

"Oh. Then what about the others?" the said brunette asked; with internal motive to remove the topic about her being Cheshire Cat.

"Koji is the White Rabbit but wolf version."

"What?"

"Koko is March Hare." The said girl didnt response or listening. "Tsu is the Dormouse."

"Excuse me?"

"Izumi is Humpty Dumpty but doesnt look-like an egg."

"Huh?"

"Junpei and Tomoki were the twins called Twindle Dee and Twindle Dum."

"Were brothers there, Junpei."

"Seems like it."

"Koichi is the Queen of Hearts but more like Beast king."

"Ehhh?"

"Kyuubimon is like a guard dog."

"Im a fox."

"Then theres Alice as Hatter."

"Then Takuya is the Alice there." Takari inserted, that collects a feats of quiet laugh from everyone.

The whole gang (minus Alice, and plus Patamon) were still in Dark Continents forest, and while walking the others were filling each other about everything that happened during the time they parted because of that mysterious hurricane.

"So Takari." The brunettes attention has shifted to the former lone wolf upon call, "How come that you didnt get surprise like everyone else about Tsu and Koko?"

As this becomes their new topic which caught everyones ears; all were quiet and simply waiting for her revelations.

"What answer do you want to hear?"

"Of course the truth."

"Why?"

"Why you ask" someone must have thought of a good excuse.

"Well we’re all interested." Junpei, with honesty, responded. "You didnt tell us about her despite that were together in Mirror Forest."

"What are you going to do if you learn about it earlier?"

"Well"

"You guys--" everyones attention is now shifted to the flying chubby digimon "would either not believe on Takari or you guys might try to pull the truth as soon as you see that Alice girl. Whichever you choose will cost damage on both sides. Thinking about it Takari decided to keep quiet about it, and let it burden her mind alone instead."

"You were overestimating me Patamon."

"Actually, you better call me Uncle since Im your fathers partner digimon."

"Ahm excuse me? Im already 14 years old and that is still your issue?"

"Why, of course. Anyways its a good thing that she reveals her real identity right away."

After staring at the flying digimon next to her, Takari let out a sigh and finally decided to answer.

"About Alice, someone in Mirror Forest informed me about her. As for Koko and Tsu, I have no slightest idea about their true identity."

"Then"

"I just have small reaction on everything."

"The curse of being one of the eldest children in the clan."

"Eldest?"

"Clan?"

"You know, the group of chosen children treated each other as relatives and they getting a lot number of children. So go and have it as clan."

"Ehhh."

"So Takari is the eldest."

"Nope. One of. Takari is the second, right."

Takari nodded, "Two years younger than to Taio."

"Oh that cousin of yours" Koichi utter; despite acting all normal, everyone knows how hurt he is after that revelation, considering him and Alice become really close.  "Arent he the one that said that you can be called 'weird'."

Takari sigh, those words reminded her of something from far past. "Jeez, that Taio, he tends to call me that when we were little."

"Henta!"

"Stop it!!!"

"Henta?"

Its combination of strange and her name."

"Ehhh~"

"Stop it already would ya! Im already tired of it! I even have nightmares before because of it!" Takari admitted in frustration, she even scratching her head roughly before of those memories.

Everyone stare at her in awe; they cannot believe that there is something that could pull her fuse that easily.

Takari once again sigh in defeated; trying to relax her nerves and memories. Then she peeks at her friends and sweat drop form in after witnessing them trying hard on keeping themselves from laughing too hard.

"Really. Please. Stop it." she begs, but doubted that they would grant it immediately.

But then her lips form a small smile while watching Koichi and Kokoro keeping their laughs. At the very least their burden has eases even for a moment.

"That's so interesting, right Henta-chan~" Takuya teases between his laugh but everyone has stop laughing as soon as they hear Takari's sinister chime of 'Ehhh~'. Takuya gulp down suddenly felt anxious over his friend.

The sinister aura that coming off from Takari is just sudden and stay for a short time, as she immediately flash a smile towards her friend which brought more anxious feeling on him.

"Not as interesting as your's and Izumi-chan's new relationship status."

The bomb. That's the bomb that Takuya and Izumi has been keeping safe into their lungs and making it won't come out no matter what are the circumstances.

From there everyone learn to suppress themselves from saying the word 'Henta' especially in front of their brunette friend.

The only ones that got affected by the explosion that Takari released is only the couple who got bombarded by Koichi, Tomoki, Renamon and get tease by Patamon. While the others have decided to make a way and just watch the unfolding scene.

"Nice way to escape, Takari-san." Tsubasa whispered to the brunette who shows smile and thumbs up.

"That's how you should use your aces in sleeves Tsu." she replied while they all settling down seeing their adventure for the day halted because of that.

"Not going to join them Junpei?" Koji question seeing his chubby friend not joining the fun.

"Nah~ already knew that."

"How? And since when?" Tsu asked.

"Takari told me. So what about you Koji? Tsu and Koko were obviously knew that, but how come you too?"

"We told him that with Izumi-san." Koko answers; they suddenly felt relief when she finally back to her senses.

"Well! Even there's only Koichi, Tomoki, Renamon and Patamon intogerating them, this surely will be a longgggg night." Takari said while the other nodded in agreement.

Indeed it become long night especially to the couple and their intogerrators,  but it shouldn't become a reason to stay asleep.

Thanks to Koji and the rest, they were forced to wake up and continue their quest on searching for the rest of the crests and a way to 'save' Alice from the enemies, even knowing she's also their opponent.

"Why are you guys were being mean to us?" Patamon question as he lazily flying next to Takuya and others who falling behind because of their slow pace.

"It's your fault for staying out late." Takari bluntly answer.

"We need to know everything!" Tomoki rant.

"It could've wait until tomorrow." Koji, this time is the one who answer.

"We wouldn't be able to sleep then." Koichi whine.

"Not our fault." all of them whom able to get proper sleep said together.

Takuya and his team sighs in defeated, they couldn't argue at all, one of the reason is they are still sleepy, and they are aware that their friends were right.

Their walk continue on in silent and only be stop when Takari and those who properly awake halted their steps.

"What's up guys?"

Before anyone could utter a word, a long chain coated with violet color aura stabbed Junpei on his chest. Everyone were shock by this but before they could make a move Izumi become the next victim, Takuya quickly catches her when the chains retracted out of their bodies yet Takuya meet his misfortune in the blink of eye as he got stabbed on his back.

They haven't recover yet when Koichi fell victim along with Tomoki.

"Koichi! Tomoki!" one of the remaining shouted acting to run towards their fallen comrades.

In Koji's shock Takari pushes him hard enough to get him out the way but all of them has their eyes wide open when the brunette met the same demise. She collapse to the ground and not showing sighs of any life within her.

It succeed, is the word that the creepy grin within the darkness describe, as it watches how the brunette fell down.

Koji and Patamon went to her side while Kokoro and Tsubasa stand in front of them alert at the next attack unbeknowsnt where it might come from.

"SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD!" Koko (whom been frustrated on the turn of the events) provoke the enemy. But silence is the only response she received; she click her tongue, "WHO ARE YOU?!" there's no response, yet the next thing they knew Koji is already stabbed and already fell on atop the brunette.

"Let see if you brats still can change the future~" a voice echoing throughout the forest reaches Patamon, Renamon, Kokoro and Tsubasa.
