Mirror

After of the long conversation about Tsu and Koko's true identity, they move on to another topic, in the middle of their conversation Alice told them that she will refresh herself for a while, then after that she went to not-to-far river.

The place is has mid-dark scenery since the light of the three moons reflects at the river.

When she make sure that no one follow her, in her low yet cold voice she calls someone.

"Cheshiremon, are you there?"

With her call a young lad with cat ears, wearing black clothes and have red eye has come down from a nearby tree.

"You heard everything, right Cheshiremon?"

"Of course! You know how sharp my ears are, Alice-chan." answered of the digimon.

"How is everyone?" she asked

"Goggle head and Blondie defeated Mummymon, plus it's like Blondie finally acquired a crest."

When she heard this, faint smile had form to her lips. One ear of the digimon twitches suddenly that make him realized something about Alice.

"Hey Alice-chan!"

"What is it?" her faint smile faded as she heard his teasing tone.

"Are you happy that those two are safe?"

"Don't get the wrong idea, Cheshiremon!"

"Wrong idea, huh? Then why did you smile when you heard my report?"

"I smile because it means that we have still chance to defeat them with our own hands. Now then, continue your report."

"Is that so?" when Cheshiremon didn't get any response to her, he then continues his report. "Then Princess, Chubby Boy, Small Kid and that wolf digimon has arrived on that forest. So far, we can say that no one on us can touch them nor that forest since it's protected by an unknown power."

"Can you investigate that unknown power source?"

"Fortunately, no."

"Cheshiremon, how come it becomes fortunate if we won't know?"

"Pretty simple Alice-chan, because it may bring excitement if we don't know what they would get from there."

"Foolish cat!" she coldly said to him.

"At least I'm just true to myself."

"What you mean?"

"Nothing! Forget what I'd said."

She sighed in defeated, she honestly don't know how come this digimon became her partner. But at the same time she's happy that Cheshiremon is her partner digimon.

"Now then, what's our next move Alice-chan?"

"Supposedly, your target should be Takari Takaishi. But since like you've said, no one on us can touch her or the others. I guess we should move to Mummymon's failed mission. Kill Kanbara, Takuya."

"By saying Goggle head, it means also Blondie, right?"

"Yeah..."

"Are you sure?"

"On what?"

"On killing them?"

"Don't ask something that already answered..."

"Alice-chan let me say something..." Alice didn't give any reply to him, so he continue "There's still time left to change your mind..."

"Cheshiremon... it's already too late." With his partner reply Cheshiremon sighed in defeated "Alice-chan... no nothing... I going to leave now..." The digimon finally turn his back to Alice "You always have choices, even its already too late." Then Cheshiremon leave her.

While Alice look up in the night sky and she utter under her breath, and a sad smile form to her face.

'Junpei, Tomoki, Takari and Renamon carried by the tornado that sucked on them, and they fell into a forest that they don't recognize at first. Takari and Junpei got conscious first followed by Renamon.

"Ouch!" Takari whined silently, while Junpei shook his head to remove his own dizziness

"How's everyone?" Junpei asked, not knowing if everyone or who's got consciousness back already

"Still feel dizzy!" Takari replied while she holding her now loose brown long hair.

Finally Tomoki gain his consciousness "Where are we?" he asked weakly.

"Obviously we're on a forest somewhere in Digital World." Renamon replied as it's quickly examined it's surrounding.

Meanwhile Junpei noticed Takari's untie hair.

"Hey Takari, your ribbon has gone." Junpei informed her.

"Yeah, its look-like it. Jeez Taio will surely get angry at me!" she replied, quit disappointed because of her lost ribbon.

"Maybe I've lost it during the tornado incident." Takari explained to a Patamon.

"Jeez Tk! I'm sure Taio will surely get angry at you when he learn that you lost his present to you on your first trip here in Digital World!" Patamon said to her.

Takari just laughed at him with sweat drop on her hair.

Takari's group ending up in a place called 'The Mirror Forest'. It is not call to its name because it's full of mirrors; no actually it's like the Breezy Village and the Terminal of Woods. It really a forest containing trees, plants, rivers and animal type digimons such as Lopmon and Terriermon. According to Takari that's the exact place where she first use the power of the Crest of Light.

According to the forest' guardian Patamon, there's no thing such as mirror or reflection on the said forest and the reason why the forest have such a name is because of its mysterious waterfall.

"According to Takeru, Takari's father when you close your eyes while in front of the waterfall, you will meet your biggest fear."

"Biggest fear? What's up with that?" Takari response although she's not expecting any answer from anyone.

"Who knows? Even I don't know if you really see your biggest fear on it. Beside no one ever try to meet the waterfall's mysterious ability."

"Hey it's that waterfall is just a nature here or it is a digimon?" Junpei asked

"That's right! It's maybe a digimon, what you think?"

"Well... better to check it out than guessing. Patamon could you bring us there?" after Takari stated those words she saw Patamon smirk. "What's up with that smirk of yours, Patamon?"

"Well you see, Takeru have last message to me for you about that waterfall."

"... and what is that?"

"Your father wants you to try that mysterious waterfall, all by yourself. He said that he left something pretty important on that waterfall for you. If you able to defeat that biggest fear of yours', then the gift will be yours."

"Ne, will that gift can help us to our battle with Chadramon?" Takari asked

"Probably..." the digimon answer.

With that flow of conversation, Takari's group along with Patamon had gone out towards of the said waterfall.

"Who are you?" Asked by one of the guardians of the waterfall Youkomon.

"Takari Takaishi."

They are now confronting the two nine-tail digimon guardians of the Mysterious Waterfall. On the right one is a Kyubimon and the other is Youkomon.

"Hey Patamon who are they?" Tomoki asked.

"Well they are the digimons that Takeru chose to guard the falls, also the gift that he left for Tk."

"Her father is something else, huh..." Junpei whisper, while Tomoki nodded.

"Well everyone are..." Patamon response.

"So you're already the Princess of Digital World. That smart but idiot reckless little girl whom loved the Digimons and the Digital World." Kyuubimon said.

Takari smirk to the nine-tail yellow digimon "If I still remember the smart is a praise, but the reckless plus idiotic isn't too much to recognize a little girl who all grown up?"

"You are not just grown up, but you also became scary verbal fighter, aren't you?" Youkomon said.

"Sometimes, but most of the times not." Takari replied.

"Takari sure knew them..." Junpei whisper.

"Well she met those two before she get banned here by her Uncle."

"Now I'm here to retrieve the thing that my father left to your care, will you excuse me Kyubimon, Youkomon let me in now so I can start my meeting to my biggest fear that honestly I don't know myself and I bet it's not a clown. Well not until the waterfall-sama show it to me!"

"You're really a talkative Chosen Child." Youkomon commented.

"Yeah, unlike Kyubimon's human partner." Takari replied.

"I'm sure you will be also become a digimon ambassador just like your Uncle Taichi." Kyubimon said.

"Oh! I don't like that idea, you know!" she replied.

The two guardians laughed at their sudden conversation with Takari.

The two digimon then gave her way towards of the waterfall. Before she set a foot at the small land in front of the waterfall Takari turn around to her friends.

"Oh yeah! Junpei, Tomoki I'll be back. So wait for me until I finish this task that father left me, you can wait right?"

"Of course! If we didn't wait for you, Koji will get mad at us." Junpei replied as he giving her his smile.

Takari then make a face saying 'huh?' to Junpei. His smile wide much more

"Just kidding! You better finish it okay!" he continues as he showing his thumbs up to her.

She then smirks to him.

"Takari-nee! Goodluck at fighting your biggest fear. Afterwards tell us what you saw!" Tomoki happily said to her.

She nodded as a response and "Yeah, I will..." then she glance at Patamon "And Patamon, if is just possible, could you ask the Tailormons to make us new clothes? You see, our clothes are really impossible to clean again on just normal wash." She requested.

"Okay, leave it to me, Tk." Patamon replied.

While Renamon just stay silent on the whole scene.

"Also Kyubimon, Youkomon thank you for taking my father's request on guarding this place."

"Thank us once you defeated that biggest fear of yours'." Kyubimon said.

She nodded as a response to them.

The warrior of water spirit set off towards the front of waterfall and close her eyes.

"I hope she will make it." Youkomon utter.

"She will, after all she's a Chosen Child." Kyubimon replied.

Junpei and Tomoki are both nervous while Renamon turn back into Viximon and hop on Tomoki's shoulder

"Relax you two. Well, I'm also nervous." Viximon said, both kids nodded.

And Patamon just watching the firm back of the young girl.

"Na, Takeru..." Patamon talk to his human partner.

"What is it Patamon?" his partner replied.

"Are you sure about leaving 'it' here?"

"Why?"

"Well lot of things will happen in the future. Why not just give 'it' to her personally?"

"Don't want that!" Takeru replied as he pouted, making Patamon got sweatdrop on his head.

"EH! WHY?!"

Then Takeru smile as he looks up at the waterfall.

"I want her to be strong. Strong that even she face the most deadly enemy or saddest event, she will always stood up and continue to fight, without forgetting who she really are, or who she protecting."

"But why here?"

"Ask it to her, when she finish the task that I left for her. She's my daughter, no, my and Hikari's daughter I'm sure that she will definitely learn my reasoning."

"Takeru..."

"I have faith on her, as a father and as a fellow Chosen Child."

Takari opened her eyes. Her surrounding has been turned white, her friends are no longer there, and what have left is herself and the waterfall. She turned to her left, her right, behind her and turned back at the waterfall. She blinks and spoke.

"Don't tell me, my biggest fear is to be alone not to mention, it always happen most of the time!" Takari sarcastically said, wondered but not scare.

"Don't say that in sarcastic tone Takari!" said by a voice that rung throughout the place. This voice is almost same to Takari's voice but it's little creepy.

"Who's there?!" Takari shouted.

Then she saw a human silhouette behind of the waterfall, she waited until that silhouette came out onto it. Wide eyes draw on Takari expression by seeing fully cleared the human silhouette. It's not a human-type digimon or digihuman like Gennai. The unknown creature is have same fair skin to spirit warrior, same height, same clothes, same color and length of hair and finally this one shared the same face to Takari, but the only difference to the two Takari is their eyes. The other Takari has full black eyes unlike to Takari who have crimson eyes.

"You are?"

"I'm the other you! Or in other words the you that living in the deepest part of yourself not to mention the darkest part of yours'"

"Really? I have you inside me?"

"Yes!"

"Then... why are you there?" she sarcastically asked. With that the other her make an angry face towards her.

"Don't give me that dumb!" her burst out makes Takari laughed.

"Sorry, sorry... anyways would you explain everything about you." She said as she stop laughing yet she still smiling.

"You've always like this! Pretending to be a good person, caring and strong!" the other her put her hand in her own chest. "I am the real you that no one and even you knows!" Takari's smile turns into faint one.

"No, I knew you very well."

"Eh?"

"The me who wants to cry, the me who wants to be mad, the me who wants revenge and the me who wants to show her sadness to someone, especially the time that our parents died."

A flash of her childhood memory appeared to her mind. The memory is when she's seven years old, she is sat on a corner of her bedroom without any light, embracing her partner's digiegg, crying quietly in despair of losing both of her parents. Then she looks back at her other self.

"Then now, what you want?" She asked.

"Stop PRETENDING!"

"But I am not." She simply said with her now calm face

"What?"

"At that time I hid all my emotions because I don't want to bother anyone. Ne if you really the other me, then out of everyone, you should be the one who knew me the best, right? Then why did you say that I'm pretending, you knew it, right? That I'm not pretending It's true that I want to burst in crying when Koji and Koichi talk to me about how my feelings about what happen at the Primary Village."

"Then! Why didn't you cry back then?!"

"'The one who should be blame is me, I'm powerless'. That's the words I'm keep saying to myself after losing Tailmon, Gennai and the other digimon. Every if that I can think of, I already muttered. But then I realized past is past I can't change anything if I continue on making myself beaten by the all if just'. I couldn't do anything for those whom I lost forever. But there still people I care about, there still hope on stopping Chadramon and his allies, whatever methods that can be use against him, I will grab it! Beside I'm not alone anymore, there's Takuya, Izumi-chan, Tomoki, Junpei, Koichi, Alice, Tsu, Koko, Renamon, and Koji. With them and with our digimons we will definitely defeat Chadramon!" she then smile to her

"Well that's a long speech coming from you." The other her said with faint smile.

"Right!"

"Indeed you became stronger that before and here I thought that I can make you go back to your world and abandon everything. Congratulation I surrender. I'm the Mirror of this waterfalls, my job is reflect the one's own self and their opposite."

"Hey if it's your job, then why did you want me to go back?"

"Your stupid father asked me!" Mirror said as pouted.

"Tou-chan?"

Mirror nodded "He wants to challenge you if you have strong will, and fit to have his stupid gift."

"Stupid gift, huh?" she whisper as sweat drop form to her hair.

"Anyways, glad to finally meet you Takaishi, Takari."

"Same here!"

"Wait before you leave, I'll tell you something about that girl."

"Girl? Who?"

"Alice..."

Everyone is still watching the still-standing Spirit warrior of water when a yellow light emitted from the position where Takari has been standing. The whole waterfalls were now covered by the yellow warm light, then the water that falls has stopped and they all saw a symbol carved perfectly on the wall.

Takari opened her eyes now in reality and she saw a yellow small plate appeared at her front, the symbol of Hope that carved at the wall were on it.

She smiles at the flash of image of her parents in her mind "Thank you, Tou-chan!" she took out her d-scanner and the plate entered her digivice.

"Hey Mirror, this isn't any stupid gift... this is the most special gift from my father. The Crest of Hope."

And the yellow warm light finally disappeared.

"Did she?" Junpei can't continue his words

"She... Takari-nee did it!" Tomoki overjoy declared as him and Junpei run towards their comrade, while viximon jump off on Tomoki.

"See!" Kyubimon said to Youkomon as it nodded in response to his partner guardian.

"As we expected to Takari!" Viximon whispered.

"Takeru, she did it like you expecting to her. I'm sure both of you were now happy wherever you are." Patamon thought.

While the kids are overjoyed for Takari's success.

What happen to Koji and the others?

Why are they acting strange?
