I awoke to find myself on the ground. I was resting my back of my head against Labramon's chest.

I look around to see where I was. I saw that I was still in Veedramon ' s living room.

Veedramon was asleep next to me. The dragon digimon was curled up in a ball as he slept

I look around the room at all the others.

Gekomon and Otamamon were sleeping next to each other against the wall. The two amphibian digimon were in deep sleep. Light snores came from the two of them.

Ogremon was lying on his back asleep.

Mimi and Palmon were back to back as the two of them were sleeping.

I noticed Joe was resting his head on his backpack which he was using as a pillow.

Meramon and Frigimon were sleeping in the chairs that they were sitting on from ealier.

Everything look find and it look like I was the only one who was awake.

I look out the window of the room to see the pitch black darkness of the night sky.

I sighed sadly and not to wake up Labramon. I slowly lifted my head off of his chest and got up . Labramon shifted a little when this happen, and for a second I thought I woke him up but a snore left his lips which told me he was still asleep.

I walked over to the window to see it was a sliding glass door. And outside I saw a terrace. I open the door and walked outside on the terrace. I put my arms on the edge of the railing.

I look off at the city first. It was completely pitch black down below. I guess due to the city being deserted their wasn't lights to light up the city.

I sighed sadly and look up at the sky to see the Earth staring back at me.

Me: Mom...dad...I miss you. I hope the two of you are okay...

I grabbed the tag that was around my neck and took it off. I held it in my hands and look down at the crest of justice.

Me: I guess you think this is some kind of joke... (I growled at the crest in my hand) I'm done with this.

I held my hand back and was going to toss my tag and crest deep into the city.

Me: I'm done being messed with!

I felt a strong hand grabbed my arm before I tossed it into the darkness.

I look behind me to see Veedramon was holding onto my arm.

Me: Veedramon?

Veedramon nodded and removed his hand of my arm.

Veedramon: What are you doing Skylar?

I look down at my crest.

Me: This thing has brought me nothing but pain... I mean I'm not crying about it like Sora did. I mean...I did make it glow but it's a total joke! I am trying to make sure I follow the path of justice. (I started to sob loudly) But...But I can't even keep my friends together. It's my fault that all of us got separated...if I only tried harder to be the voice of reason then we would still be together. It's my fault that Leomon died, if only if i tried to so something he will still be here.

Veedramon hugs me.

Veedramon: Skylar why do you doubt yourself?

Me: Because... I have been failing everyone lately.

Veedramon: You didn't fail me. When you could have run away and go back to your friends. You decided to help me because I was wounded. You didn't even know me at all. And I technically kidnap you from your friends.

Me: But Veedramon...

Veedramon: Skylar you let go a lot of credit for yourself. You are a very kind person. Just give yourself more credit.

Me: Okay...

I hugged Veedramon back.

*Morning*

The others woke up a few hours later and we were all sitting in chairs in the middle of the room.

Mimi: I hope everyone had a good night sleep.

Joe: I know I did. How about you Skylar?

I was sitting down in my chair looking down at my crest. I knew what Veedramon said...but I was still wondering why it chose me...

Joe: Skylar are you there?

I blinked and look at my friends.

Me: What?

Ogremon: Wow you look like you are trying to hide something.

I shake my head.

Me: I'm not trying to hide anything.

Labramon: Skylar... are you okay?

Labramon put his paw on my shoulder.

Labramon: Skylar you can tell us. We are always here to help.

Mimi: (nodding) Yeah Skylar... you help us all the time. We can help you as well.

Veedramon brought food on a tray in.

Veedramon: I made breakfast.

We ate breakfast and left the building.

Me: Can you guys come with us to primary village? We are planning to defeat the Dark Masters.

Gomamon: Yeah we can use all the help we can get.

Meramon: I will be glad to help out.

Frigimon held up his snowy fist.

Frigimon: Sure I will help out in anyway I can.

I look over at Veedramon last.

Me: How about you?

Veedramon look a little unease.

Veedramon: I don't know Skylar... I'm known to be the village protector. What if someone needs me here.

I placed a hand on his shoulder.

Me: Veedramon we need your help. And if you come and help us, we will be able to defeat the Dark Masters once and for all.

Veedramon smiles and nodded. He must have thought that I was listening to what he said last night. He must have been doing this as some sort as test...smart dragon...

Palmon: (smiles) Great now we have tons of friends traveling with us to primary village.

Ogremon: Then let's go already.

We all started to walk down a path away from the city. We walked for a few minutes in silence. We were mostly making sure that their was no henchmen of the dark masters sneaking up on us.

Mimi: I hope this isn't going to take that much longer... my feet are starting to ache.

Palmon: Me too. My roots are starting to kill me.

Joe: Shouldn't we try to at least get to primary village before we try to take a rest. It would be easier to get there, and just rest later.

My two friends look at me. I guess they wanted me to be the deciding vote...why couldn't they ask on of the digimon?

Me: (sighing) Honestly I think we should take a rest before we continue forward.

Mimi smiles and takes a seat on the ground.

Mimi: Thank you Skylar.

Joe sighs.

Otamamon and Gekomon run towards Mimi and started to talk with her and Palmon.

Ogremon began to start a conversation with Meramon and Frigimon.

Labramon and I on the other hand walked a little a ways from the group. I look back at them and sighed.

Labramon put a paw on my shoulder.

Labramon : Please don't tell me your going to be running away like Matt did.

I shake my head.

Me: I wouldn't do that to my friends.

I sat down and started to move my hand through the grass.

Me: Labramon...do you think the crest of justice made a good choice in picking me.

Labramon: Well wasn't it designed for you?

I shrugged and held the crest of justice close to me.

Me: That's what we were told and shown. But it's just (I held my tag close to me) Sometimes...don't call me crazy, it's like the crest is alive...and their something more about it.

Labramon raised an eyebrow.

Labramon: What do you mean, you think the crests are alive.

I shrugged.

Me: It feels like it has a heartbeat. Whenever it glows it feels like I can feel another heartbeat, that's not my own.

Labramon look over at our friends.

Labramon: You know they are worrying about you.

I wrapped my arms around my knees.

Me: I know... I should try being my fun old self...but it's so hard....Defiently when people I care about is dying around me...

Labramon: Skylar...if you are worried about me...dying. you just have to know (He put a paw on my shoulder) You can set that aside because I am going to always fight for you. No matter how wounded I get, I will continue fighting for you.

Me: (whispering) Labramon...

A loud women's laughter was heard. I turn my head to see a women like digimon.

She had light pale skin. Long brown hair and dark red eyes. She almost look human. She had a pink butterfly mask over her face, and huge pink butterfly wings on her back. The women wore a long silky black dress and she wore black gloves. In her right hand was a wand.

Women: Hello kiddies. My name is Aramon. (She holds her wand tightly in her finger tips.) And I was sent here to have some little fun. Piedmon was the one to send me.

Frigimon: I heard about this digimon. That's Aramon! She is a Mega level digimon. She is a strong witch like digimon, she uses her magic for evil, and will be willing to do anything to get what she wants.

Aramon: Your right. And I want one thing in particular.

She points towards me.

Joe, Mimi and Ogremon ran in front of me.

Joe: You will have to go through me if you think you are going to take Skylar away from us.

Mimi: Yeah Skylar is our friend and she would protect us from digimon like you!

Ogremon holds out his bone club.

Ogremon: Come any closer I dare you.

Me: You guys...

Aramon laughs and shakes her finger.

Aramon: I don't think you understand. I want her crest.

Veedramon snarls and pounces in the air.

Veedramon: Well we don't care what you want! You will have to go through us! Because you will not lay a hand on her! Magnum punch!

Golden aura surronded Veedramon fist and he threw his fist out at her. Aramon flew backwards and Veedramon slammed his fist against a tree causing it to break apart.

Joe, Mimi and I hold out digivices.

Mimi: Be careful Palmon!

Joe: Go get him Gomamon!

Me: You got this Labramon!

All of our digivices glowed light green.

Palmon: Here I go! Palmon digivolve too...

Togemon: Togemon!

Gomamon: Gomamon digivolve too ...

Ikkakumon : Ikkakumon!

Labramon : Labramon digivolve too ... Seasarmon!

The three champion level digimon ran over to help out.

Togemon: Hey lady. Why don't you pick on someone your own size! Neddle spray!

Ikkakumon: Harpoon Torpedo!

Seasarmon : Sun's courage!

Aramon flew away from the attacks quickly.

Aramon: Mystical aura.

She held out her wand and a blast of pink light burst from her wand.

The attack slams into our digimon.

Ogremon jumps at her with his bone club held out.

Ogremon: Pummel whack!

Aramon dodges the attack and holds out her hands.

Aramon: Butterfly frenzy.

Tons of different colored butterflies flew out of her hands and slammed into Ogremon chest causing him to slam into the ground roughly.

Me: Ogremon!

Joe: She's fast.

Mimi: We got to try to get to the next level and quick.

Me: Digivolve again!

Our crests started to glow.

Togemon: Togemon digivolve too ...

Lilymon : Lilymon!

Ikkakumon: Ikkakumon digivolve too ...

Zudomon: Zudomon!

Seasarmon : Seasarmon digivolve too ...

Cerubumon : Cerubumon!

Aramon smiles at the three new ultimate digimon.

Aramon: Come on and fight me if you think your so special.

Lilymon: Flower cannon!

Zudomon: Vulcan's Hammer!

Cerubumon : Elemerald blaze!

The three attacks head straight for the witch digimon but with a flick of her wand she vanished in a mist of butterflies.

Aramon appeared next to Veedramon. She wrapped one strong arm around Veedramon neck and started to choke him a bit, and with the other arm she put her wand next to his head.

Aramon: Girly give me your crest.

I gasped as I look at what was going on in front of me.

Me: (sobbing) Veedramon!

Veedramon: Skylar don't do it!

I walked towards the witch digimon. She had a smirk on her face as I walked closer.

Mimi: Skylar come back and think about what your doing.

Joe: Skylar!

I held out my tag when she held out her hand. She quickly grabbed it

Aramon: You made the right choice Ruby but now- Mystical aura!-

Before she could launch the attack at Veedramon head. Veedramon used his fist to slam into her fist causing her to let go off his neck.

This caused Aramon to stumble backwards in pain. She was still holding onto my tag.

I raced over to Veedramon and hugged him.

Me: Are you okay Veedramon!?

Veedramon nodded and raced foward to attack Aramon.

Veedramon: V- Nova Blast!

I bawled my fist. I slowly understood what Veedramon said to me.

Aramon: (laughing) Girlie you gave me your crest. That shows how unjustly you are. All your friends were wrong about you-

Me: (yelling) Shut up!

This caught the witch by surprise.

Me: You know I learn a lot from my friends. (I smirk) But I am not going to sit here all day and listen to the stupid stuff that comes out of your dumb mouth. I would have to give myself a Skylar slap. I would rather listen to Joe talk all day instead of you.

Mimi: Skylar! She's back!

Joe: Hey!

I smiled at my friends.

Lilymon flew towards Aramon.

Lilymon: Flower cannon!

Aramon dodges the attack by stepping aside but that was right in the path of Zudomon.

Zudomon: Vulcan's Hammer!

His hammer hit Aramon across the head. The witch let go off my tag and Lilymon grabbed it.

Lilymon: Here catch this Skylar!

She threw my tag and I grabbed it.

Frigimon: Alright!

I put my tag around my neck and my digivice changed colors.

Cerubumon: Cerubumon mode change...

Cerubumon WM : Cerubumon Werewolf mode!

Cerubumon WM: You will never understand the justice that Skylar holds.

Cerubumon WM: Hell blaze!

Zudomon: Vulcan's Hammer!

Lilymon : Flower cannon!

Veedramon: V - Nova Blast!

The attacks hit Aramon causing her to turn into data.

Me: We did it!

We all started walking again after that.

Me: I feel so much better guys. You know I felt like I had doubt about the crest of justice picking me. But I am glad that I know now that people believe that I have the power to bear justice.

Mimi: (smiling) You just have to believe in yourself.

I had the best friends in the world.
