I awoke to the sound of my own snoring.  I jolted up in bed and look around the room. I groaned angrily when I remembered where I was. I was still in Myotismon castle.

But on the bright side, this was the day that Salamon and I was going to escape the clutches of Myotismon. We both wouldn't have to worry about the vampire digimon any longer.

I got out of bed and walked over to the window of my room. I really didn't have any other better ideas with what I could do with my free time.

I knew I could read because of the bookshelf filled to the brim with many different kinds of books, but I didn't want touch any of them, in thought of Myotismon touching them at one point.

I look out the window and watched as the waves washed up against the shore.

Today was the day that Salamon and I will sail away from this place. We will be able to leave this place behind, never to come back again.

I hope my friends and I will never have to deal with Myotismon. He seems like a digimon that we didn't want to mess with.

I sighed and heard a light knocking at my door. For a slight second I wanted to scream for the digimon to go away but I didn't want to yell at the wrong one. Wait if the digimon standing at the door was Salamon.

She would probably be too scared to go with me. She would probably just hide when I try to escape. I wanted her to escape with me, because I didn't want to leave her here, to be tortured.

I walked over to the door and open. I was glad that I didn't yell because standing right in front of me was Salamon.

The puppy digimon had a look of discomfort across her face as she walked into my room.

I closed the door behind her, and I turned so I could look at her.

I yawned before I spoke.

Me: Good morning Salamon, how did you sleep?

Salamon look down at the ground.

Salamon: (stuttering) Good morning... are you sure you...you want to escape...?

I was surprised by this. I thought she would be thrilled that we would be able to get out of the vampire's clutches. But now she look terrified by the thought of it.

Me: Yes I do want to escape Salamon, why are you having second thoughts?

I asked as I placed a comforting hand on her forehead.

The puppy sighed and slowly look up at me. Tears fell down her face.

Salamon: I am scared that Myotismon will find out and hurt both of us. I don't want to see you get hurt.

I smiled at her.

Me: Salamon you don't have to worry about that. We have it planned out perfectly. We will both sneak around the castle and get to the board walk, without even the old vampire knowing. Once we're there we get on a ship and sail around until we find Labramon.

Salamon: I know are plan... but what if...

I let out a laugh. Salamon look up at me with a look of confusion.

Me: Salamon, life is full of what if's. You know my dad told me when I was younger that if you keep on worrying about the bad things you will let them drag you down. That is why my motto is live your life to the fullest.

Salamon: (whispering) Live my life to the fullest...

I nodded. I rubbed her forehead.

Me: So stop worrying, both of us will make this out of this castle okay. I promise that I will help you find who you are looking for.

Salamon nodded and gave me a determined look.

Salamon: I trust you. Let's do this.

I smiled.

We both walked towards the window and stared outside.

Salamon sighed dreamily.

Salamon: It feels like years, sense the last time I stepped out of this castle. I dream of swimming in that water and playing for hours.

I smiled.

Me: We will be able to do that when we find Labramon. We will play for a couple of minutes, before we start to sail to the island.

Salamon yip in joy. The puppy's tail wagged in joy.

Salamon: (grinning) That's going to be so much fun!

I nodded to agree with her. I was glad to see her personality to seem have change so much now. She was so enthusiastic now. She wasn't the same scared little pup she once was.

Me: We could even build a sandcastle-

I trailed off when I thought I saw a blur of tan light cross the beach. At first I thought it was Labramon running to come save me. But when I looked closer it was just a peice of trash washing up onto shore.

Salamon: What's wrong Skylar?

I shake my head and them smiled once more.

Me: It's nothing. I just thought I saw something.

Salamon shrugged.

Salamon: I wouldn't doubt it, sometimes when you feel like you are trapped in one place for so long. You start to imagine seeing people. I once saw a little girl running through the castle. But it was just my imagination.

Me: Maybe your right...

We both waiting in my room for hours. To pass the time, I told her about how my other friends look like and how they meant to me. I seem to have save Joe for last and the whole time I talked about him. Salamon gave me a curious look.

I then had enough and decided to ask.

Me: Why are you giving me that look?

Salamon shrugged. She gave me a soft smile and then teased me.

Salamon: (teasingly) It's just the sound of your voice. When you talk about your other friends your voice sounds normal, but with Joe it sounds like you take your time with how he looks like and how he acts.

I blushed and covered my face in embarrassment. I started to shake my head quickly.

Me: (yelling as I felt my cheeks burn)  I don't love him!

Salamon rolled over laughing as she finshed she shook her left paw and gave me a sly smile.

Salamon: Denying it just makes it easier for me to know that you do have feelings for him.

I crossed my arms over my chest and rolled my eyes.

Me: As if...

Salamon snickered at my reaction. The puppy digimon rolled her eyes.

Salamon: Right.

I folded my arms across my chest. This wasn't fair, that Salamon was teasing me. But on the other hand I was glad that she became more talkative, and seem to be also be more positive.

Salamon look out the window and smile.

Salamon: It's time! We can finally leave!

I was glad that we can both leave. I picked up the small puppy digimon in my arms and walked over the to the room.

I open the door and look both ways before I walked out of the room.

The coast was clear, I walked out and started to walk through the passageway.

The passageway seem to be longer this time, it just seem to stretch on and on. I didn't feel like it would never end.

My heart seem to be beating like crazy as I continue to walk.

Salamon look over my arms. A look of excitement was on her face, she was possibly excited. That she was going to finally leave Myotismon castle once and for all.

I made it to the stairs and started to walk it to it. I started to walk down each stair, as slow as I could.

When I reached the bottom floor. I had a strange feeling that someone was watching us.

But I shrugged it off when I couldn't find anything. All I saw above my head was a statue of a strange gargoyle like creature.

I sighed and walked over to the gate. When I pushed my hand on it, it swung open.

I smiled down at the puppy digimon in my arms.

Me: Looks like we're home free.

Salamon nodded and smiled up at me as well.

Salamon: Yep, we didn't had to worry about Myotismon at all.

Right before we walked out on the boardwalk. I heard a swoop down behind us and a mighty roar.

I turned around quickly. Salamon and I gasped when we saw a gargoyle like digimon swooping down at us.

Salamon: Oh no! It's Devidramon! Get out of the way!

I jumped quickly to the right and made it on the nick of time, Devidramon swoop down right where I was standing for a second.

Salamon growled and jumped out of my arms.

Salamon: Time to fight back!

I was shocked by the new change of Salamon.

Salamon: Puppy howling!

The puppy started to yip loudly.

Devidramon got hit in his chest. The gargoyle was sent sprawling in the air but he spread open his wings and was able to catch himself.

I bawled my fist. I wish I could help her but I couldn't fight against the gargoyle digimon.

Devidramon snarled and slashed out at Salamon.

Me: ( screaming) Salamon!

Salamon was sent flying backwards. She slammed into the wall and slowly started to slide down and fell in a lump.

Devidramon snarled at the puppy and then turned to me.

Oh no. Now it was after me... what was I going to do.

It slowly started to walk over to me

I watched in fear as he slowly open his maw to show his razor sharp fangs.

I didn't know if I should run or stand my ground. I didn't have much time left he was only a foot away from me. I think he could even scratch his claw at me if he wanted too.

His claws started to glow dark red as he raised them high above his head.

I watched his claws closely. I felt tears beginning to form in my eyes.

I heard Salamon from a distance away whimpering.

Salamon: Skylar!...

Me: (Crying) Labramon!!!

I closed my eyes right before his claw struck at me.

Just then I felt a soft breeze come right in me.

Labramon voice: Retriever G!

Just then I started to hear loud barking and the ground beginning to shake underneath me.

I open my eyes to see Devidramon on the ground. The gargoyle was in a mess. His arms now look broken.

In front of me was Labramon.

Me: (sobbing) Labramon!

Labramon slowly look over at me. The dog digimon look calm but he didn't seem that thrilled to see me.

I raced over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

Me: Labramon I am so sorry. I am stupid for what I did. I hope you can forgive me!

Labramon: Skylar, Skylar, hey Skylar. (Labramon moved me so he could look back at me, a smile was now on his face.) Don't worry we will always be friends.

Labramon wrapped his arms around me and I hugged him back.

Then out of nowhere. Devidramon roared angrily, the gargoyle held his claws out ready to strike the two of us.

Labramon: (snarling) Now it's my turn to fight.

I nodded to agree with him. I pulled out my digivice and it started to glow dark green.

Labramon started to glow light yellow.

Labramon: Labramon digivolve too ... Seasarmon!

Seasarmon roared loudly as he stood before Devidramon.

Seasarmon pounced towards him. Yellow arrows started to appear around him.

Seasarmon: (roaring) Sun's courage!

The arrows started to fire quickly at the gargoyle digimon.

Devidramon was hit by the arrows in his chest.

Me: You got this Seasarmon!

Devidramon swoop down at Seasarmon, with his claws raised.

The gargoyle started to claw away at the lion digimon.

Seasarmon jumped backwards but before he struck. He roared loudly.

Seasarmon: Sun's courage!

The lion digimon started to fire away at the arrows once more at the gargoyle.

Devidramon fell backwards and slammed into the ground. The gargoyle look down for the count.

Seasarmon: I think I got him.

I smiled up at the lion and gave him a thumbs up.

Me: You definitely did buddy!

I raced over to Salamon and helped her up.

Salamon: Thank you Skylar.

I smiled and nodded at her. I raced over to Seasarmon.

Me: Come on let's get out of here.

Seasarmon nodded and we both raced onto the boardwalk. We raced to the first ship and we started to run on the plank for the ship.

Salamon: (excitedly) Were going to make it!

Me: Don't worry Salamon we are going-

Myotismon: No where

I gasp when I notice the vampire digimon standing on the ship.

Seasarmon snarled as he barred his fangs.

Seasarmon: (Roaring) I saw you hit Skylar! Sun's courage!

Seasarmon launched an rally of arrows at the vampire.

Myotismon held out his gloved hands and the arrows seem to flout in midair. He then threw his arms out and the arrows fell down to the ground.

Myotismon then held out his gloved hand once more and his glowing red whip appeared in his hand.

Myotismon: Take this!

He whip Seasarmon and he was sent flying backwards at me.

Seasarmon turned back into Labramon before he slammed into me.

I was knocked onto the ships deck with Labramon on top of me.

The dog looked out of breath.

Labramon: Sorry Skylar...

I patted the dog on his head.

Me: Don't worry about it. I am okay... wait where is Salamon?!

I looked around for the puppy and was shocked to see the puppy standing in front of Myotismon. She was growling lowly.

Salamon: You won't harm them anymore! I am tired of you pushing everyone around!

Myotismon eyes grew wide.

Myotismon: Do you even know who you are talking too?

Salamon: Yes.

She whispered as she slowly started to walk towards him.

Myotismon: Time for punishment!

He lashed out with his whip.

Salamon didn't even flinch when the whip hit her.

Myotismon eyes grew wide when notice that he had no effect on her. He once more lashed his whip at her but she didn't even yell out.

She continue walking towards him, with her blue eyes staring at him angrily.

Myotismon started to whip at her more frantically now. The puppy digimon ignored the wounds that covered her body.

Me: (whispering in shock) Salamon...

Labramon( trying to move but he is unable too.) I am trying to help, but I can't move...

Myotismon: Why aren't you cowering in fear?

Salamon barred her fangs as she stood before Myotismon.

Salamon: I am done being your puppet Myotismon. I am finally going to start standing up for myself!

Salamon started growl loudly as white light started to surronded her.

My eyes grew wide as I watched her started to change.

Myotismon: What is going on...?

Salamon: Salamon digivovle too.... Gatomon.

The puppy I once knew was gone. In her place was a cat like digimon. She stood on two legs and her claws was covered with yellow gloves. Her claws extended from her gloves. Her fur was now white, and purple fur stick out of her ears. Her tail was now longer and at the end of it was a tail ring, with ancient writing across it.

Me: Did Salamon digivolve to her champion level?

Labramon nodded, just as shocked as I was.

Labramon: Just because she is a champion level Digimon doesn't mean she has to be tall. Gatomon ' s are very tough digimon.

Gatomon: I am down being tortured by you!

She hissed before she raised her paws. Electricity started to form around her paws.

Gatomon pounced towards the vampire digimon. She barred her fangs before she hissed.

Gatomon: Lightning paw!

Gatomon slammed her left paw across the vampire digimon face. Sending Myotismon and Gatomon overboard. They both fell onto the boardwalk.

Me: Gatomon get back onto the ship! So we can finally escape!

Gatomon shook her head.

Gatomon: I am sorry Skylar, but I can't come with you both.

I raised my eyebrow in confusion.

Me: Why not? You can finally be free.

Gatomon look down sadly.

Gatomon: I know... but...I need to stay here. I have a feeling that as long as I am here. That the person who I am waiting for, while find me here.

Me: But if you stay here you will have to be-

Gatomon nodded. 

Gatomon: Yes I know, I will have to serve Myotismon. But I need to find who I have been looking for.

Me: But Gatomon-

Gatomon shake her head.

Gatomon: I am sorry, but I have to stay here.

Me: I can't leave you here.

Labramon: You have to come with us!

Both Labramon and I jump to our feet. We were running towards the exit of the ship.

Gatomon look back up at us with sad eyes.

Gatomon: I am sorry, but I can't let both of you change my mind.

Gatomon raised her right paw and shouted.

Gatomon: Let the ship raise sail, and let it taste blood once more!

The ship mast suddenly shot upwards, and it lurch foward. I guess the ship was controlled by command, and Gatomon just activated it by saying the code.

Myotismon pushed Gatomon off of him.

Myotismon: Why you little! How dare you let them escape.

The ship was to far away from him to catch us.

I felt tears starting to stream down my face.

Me: (yelling)  Gatomon!!!!

Labramon walked over to me and placed his hands around my stomach.

It was a while but the ship has already sailed into the middle of the sea.

I was still crying but now into Labramon ' s soft chest.

Me: (sobbing) We couldn't save her... I promised that I would get her...out of there.

Labramon continue to hug me.

Labramon: Gatomon did what she thought was right. She felt that if she stayed she will be able to find who ever she was looking for.

Me: I know but... (whips away at my eyes) Why couldn't she, just come with us? If she did that, I am sure... we will be able to find whoever she is looking for.

Labramon: Don't worry, I have a feeling that we will see her again.

I hug him and whispered.

Me: I hope so...
