Chapter 1 Part 1
Summer, the time when kids get out of school at least right now as a group of kids were off ready to go home and spend their next few months having fun.
A young boy named Mark ran back home and lied down on his couch. "Ah finally, its summer and I could relax the rest of the-" Mark gets cut off when he heard his phone ring. He turned it on and saw a message.
To: Mark
-Meet us at Peace Park!
-Kenny
"Awesome!" Mark said. He grabbed his backpack, but not before removing some of his school stuff, and ran out of his house to the park. Mark ran up to his friends, Kenny, Benjamin and Jonathon. "Hey guys!"
"Hey Mark." Jonathon said.
Mark smiled at his friends. "So why do you want to meet up at Peace Park, I mean we all got out of school moments ago."
"I know, but Ashley and her friends invited us to a picnic." Benjamin said.
Mark groaned, he knew Ashley and her friends would just pick on them. "Please, tell me their kidding."
Mark friends chuckled at Mark's response. "Relax, we talked to them about it, and its fine." Kenny said.
"Are you sure Kenny?" Mark asked.
Kenny looked at his friend with a smile. "Of course it is. Now come on."
"Okay." Mark said. Mark and his friends ran to the park to see Ashley and her friends getting everything ready.
"You guys finally made it." Ashley said with a smile.
Ben and Jon smiled at their friend and sat down on the blanket. "See I told you, we'll make it." Kenny said crossing his arms looking at Frances.
Frances gave Kenny a glare and crossed her arms. "Of course I knew you guys would make it, we were thinking Mark wasn't." She said back.
Mark glared at the girls. "Hey, I would of showed up!" He yelled. The group glared at Mark back, knowing him. "Okay, maybe I would just be at home, doing nothing." Everyone chuckled, but suddenly the sky grew dark.
Everyone looked up and saw clouds covering the sky. "Rain!" Everyone yelled, and right on time a down pour of rain. The group ran from the rain, and went to find some cover from the rain. "Well so much for our picnic!" Iris groaned.
Benjamin started to think as everyone looked at the rain. "This is weird, it wasn't supposed to rain till next week." Benjamin said.
"Well you know weather in the summer, Ben." Kenny started. "You can never predict them."
Just as they were protected a flash of lightning shot from the sky leaving the group blinded. Once the flash faded, something appeared when the bolt landed. "What's that?" Mark asked going to the field. The group walked up to it, and eight shining lights appeared. The lights floated towards each of Mark, Ashley and their friends, and it landed on their hands.
The object was round in shape with a blank screen and an antenna on the left side. It was colored a pale blue that almost made it white. It had three buttons, one on the left, one in the bottom middle, and the last on the right.
"What are these?" Benjamin asked.
"I don't know?" Ashley replied looking at her device. Suddenly out of the blue mysterious glowing lights appeared from the clouds.
"Wow! Look how pretty the sky is." Frances said looking up. As the group looked up, they soon realized they were floating the air.
"Uh guys." Lilly said, everyone turned around and looked at her. "Why are we all off the ground?!" She yelled. Everyone looked down and saw they were floating away and into the sky. The group screamed as the light took them away one by one.
"Mark?" A voice said. "Mark."
Mark was on the ground, passed out as someone, or something was on top of him. Mark started to wake up, and open his eyes to see not one of his friends, but some creature on his chest. "I'm up." He said.
"I'm glad your up, Mark." The creature said. The creature was round with purple fur and black dog-ears, tail and paws.
Mark looked up at the creature, and after a few seconds of staring at each other, Mark screamed that was heard from the whole world. "W-Who are you? What are you?" He yelled. "How do you know me?!"
The creature went up to Mark. "Mark, don't be scared, I'm your friend, Wanwamon!" Wanwamon cheered.
"Wanwamon?" Mark asked. Wanwamon nodded and smiled. "And I'm your friend?"
"Right." Wanwamon replied.
Mark looked at him, and was still confused. "Okay, but how do you know me?"
Before Wanwamon could ask him, Iris came from the bushes. "Mark?" Iris asked. Mark turned around and saw Iris standing there with a ball furry shaped creature with a tail that looks like a leaf and frilly ears.
"Iris! There you are, and." Mark looks down seeing the creature next to Iris.
"I know, I had this little fur ball following me since I landed here." Iris explained.
"I'm no fur ball." The creature said. "I'm Akimon." Akimon introduced.
"Okay, Akimon." Iris said looking at it. "Where are we?"
"The Digital World!" Akimon and Wanwamon shouted together. Mark and Iris looked at each other and back at their creatures. "And were called Digimon." Wanwamon said.
"Short for Digital Monsters." Akimon added.
Mark and Iris looked at each other again, and faced the digimon. "Digimon?" Mark asked.
"Digital World?" Iris asked.
"That's right." Akimon said, "And you're my partner, Iris!"
"Same to you Mark!" Wanwamon said as well. Mark looked around and saw there was nothing but trees in the digital world. Mark decided to climb on one of the trees and take a look around the digital world.
Mark saw everything around him being beautiful and exotic. "Wow! Everything here is beautiful, its like were in the jungle, even though were I live its nothing but sand." Mark said.
Wanwamon jumped up on the branches and landed on the branch right below, Mark's. "The digital world has everything here, Mark. Forests, mountains, oceans, lakes, you name it!" Wanwamon explained.
While Wanwamon was explaining about the digital world, Mark was face to face with a white cat like creature with pink heart shaped ears and a fluffy tail. "Some sort of cat with small ears." Mark said facing the cat.
The cat creature giggled and faced Mark with a second later Frances coming up in front of his face with a smile. Mark screamed in fear and fell down from the tree, but his shoelace caught a branch, catching him instead of falling.
"Mark, are you okay?!" Wanwamon asked running to his partner.
"Oh yeah I always love hanging around." Mark said trying to make a joke. Iris groaned at his joke and helped Mark up. Frances came down from the tree with her little cat friend.
"Sorry Mark, but my friend here was showing me around." Frances said.
"And that friend is named Hummon, pleased to meet you." Hummon said.
Mark looked at Hummon, "are you more of these digimon that live around here?" He asked.
"Right, but its just not me, every digimon lives in the digital world!" Hummon said.
Iris looked up and her eyes widen seeing something come at them. "You mean like big bugs!" She yelled.
"Oh yeah there are lots of big bugs, Iris." Akimon said.
"No!" She yelled at her digimon, "I mean big bugs, like the one headed straight for us!" Everyone turned around to see a giant bee like bug with beautiful wings swopping down on him or her. The three ducked, as the bug came flying towards them again.
"That is not one happy bug!" Hummon yelled.
"Then who is that?!" Frances yelled.
"Flymon, and its not like other flies who just annoy you!" Akimon said explaining about Flymon. The group stayed low to the ground as possible as Flymon was swooping down on them.
"Bubble Blow!" Wanwamon yelled blowing pink bubbles at Flymon's face. However, this got Flymon angry and tried to attack Wanwamon.
"Wanwamon!" Mark yelled grabbing his friend and pushing him out of the way, almost getting killed by Flymon.
"Mark!" The girls yelled running towards him. "Are you okay?" Iris asked.
Mark chuckled and looked at them. "Yeah, but I should be worried about Wanwamon." He said looking at his friend, and seeing there was not a single scratch on him. "You okay buddy?"
Wanwamon opened his eyes and looked at Mark. "Yeah I'm okay." He said.
Mark smiled. "I'm glad your okay, that's very brave of you to battle someone bigger then you." He said. Wanwamon blushed and nodded back at his friend.
"Um, not to break the touching moment, but Flymon still wants to attack us!" Hummon yelled. The group looked up seeing Flymon still wanting to attack them. Quickly, they ran with the bug slowly behind them. The group saw a field of bushes and trees and hid there staying low to the ground and quiet as possible.
Flymon was just above them flying high looking through the bushes and trees for any signs of Mark and his friends. Suddenly, it heard something and Flymon flew off. The group then got up and looked around seeing Flymon was gone. Mark still was low on the ground, till he felt a hand touch his shoulder.
Mark flinched and went back, only to hear the sound of laughter. Mark looked up and saw it was Ashley standing in front of him. "Ashley?" Mark asked.
