Max was lying completely unconscious face down before he heard a voice calling out to him

"Max, Max," A  pitchy male voice called  out to Max, causing him to slowly open his eyes as he noticed he was in some kind of forest."Uh, where am I and where is Emi?" He questioned, looking around not seeing his younger sister anywhere. 

"Ah, thank goodness you're awake," a small orange creature with a yellow flame said happily, seeing that Max was perfectly fine. 

Max's eyes widened in surprise at the creature staring at him."What exactly are you?" He asked, confused, rubbing his eyes and wondering if he was imagining things, but the creature was still in front of him.

"I'm Sunmon, and I have been waiting for you, Max," the creature said as he introduced himself as Sunmon and jumped into Max's arms.

"Waiting for me?" Max asked.

Sunmon nodded.

The bush then rustled before a small green plant creature came jumping out of the bushes.

"There he is! I found him, Emi!" The creature shouted in a feminine voice.

Soon, Max saw his little sister Emi rush over towards the creature."Awesome job, Tanemon," She said, picking up and hugging the small creature. 

"Ah, Emi," Max said, running over towards his sister."I was so worried," He said, hugging her.

"You didn't need to worry, Max. I had Tanemon there for me," Emi said.

"Tanemon?" Max questioned, looking down at the creature in his sister's arms.

"That's me, Tanemon!" Tanemon said."And I see you met my friend Sunmon," She said.

"That right, Tanemon, my friend," Sumon said, sounding extremely proud.

"I don't understand what is going on, but no time for questions. Where are the others?" Max asked, looking at Emi.

"No idea, when I came to only Tanemon was there," Emi explained. 

"I'm sure we can find them," Sunmon said.

"We can find our friends as well," Tanemon said.

"It's better than doing nothing at all," Max said.

"Then let's go!" Sumon and Tanemon said at the same time. 

Max and Emi then follow Sunmon and Tanemon's directions.

Max and Emi were walking through the forest following Sunmon and Tanemon's directions when they came across  Sarah and who was carrying a raindrop creature. 

"Sarah, have you seen the others?" Max asked.

Sarah shook her head."No, I'm actually looking for them, but at least I found you too," She said. 

"Yeah, you have one too," Emi said, looking at Sarah's arms.

"Oh, this is Moonmom she claims we're partners," Sarah said, looking at Moonmon.

"Come on this way!" Sunmon said as he eagerly bounced forward with Tanemon. 

"Your friends are this way sure of it," Tanemon said.

Finally, the tree came across Tai, Izzy, and Sora, who were gathered with their Digimon partners. 

As they were chatting and there, Digimon introduced themselves to each other. A white creature and another one in brown one came and stood in front  of Koromon and Mochimon

"Hello, I'm Tokomon," the white one said." Hey, Tk over here!"

"I'm Syakomon," the shell-looking creature said."Lusy found them!"

"Coming!" Two voices shouted.

The others look to see TK rushing over."Tokomon there you are," He said, rushing over.

"Tk!" Matt called out as he chased after TK while holding Tunimon.

"Bakuamon found you," Lusy said, coming from the other side.

"Lusy," Sarah said, glad her sister made it here safely.

"Matt, you too?" Tai questioned.

"Yeah, I'm here too," Matt said.

"No, I meant that under your arm," Tai explained.

"I'm Tsunomon," Tsunomon introduced himself bashfully.

They suddenly hear screaming and turn to see Joe running towards them.

"Joe," Sarah said.

"Help me!" Joe said as he stopped to catch his breath while putting his hands on his knees." Some weird is chasing me!" He said.

"I'm not a weird thing! I'm Baukamon," Baukamom said as he got on Joe's shoulder. 

"Wha.." Joe said. He blinks."What the heck are you guys?" He exclaimed. 

Baukamon then jumps towards the others.

"We're Digimon...Digital Monster!" The Digimon said in unison.

"Digital Monster?" Tai asked him and the others especially surpto see two Baukamon.

Tai then introduced everyone starting from Sora and ending with Tk until they realized Mimi was still missing from the group.

Everyone then hears screaming to see Mimi running from a large red bug and all run for their lives.

"Will this nightmare ever end?"Joe asked as the bug flew past them, "My mom is gonna want a complete and total refund," He added. 

Sarah placed a hand on Joe's shoulder."It's not that simple, Joe," She said."We have to find a way home first." 

"Here he comes again," Yakomon said, all looking up to see the giant Digimon flying back towards them.

Tai quickly stands up."Alright, no more running away!" He stated. 

"What else can we do?" Sora asked.

"She right, there's no way we can fight that thing," Matt added, holding his little brother close.

"Not win anyway," Max said, keeping his sister behind him for safety." 

"That not helping calm the younger ones," Sarah stated.

"My bad," Max apologized to Emi, seeing her fear, before everyone began running away again. 

They came to a stop running as they saw the road had ended in front of a cliff. Sunmon and Tanemon looked up at Max and Emi, worried.

"Careful Tai," Sora said.

Tai looks down and sees that there is no escape."There is no way down.  We have to find another way."

"Another way where?" Sora asked. 

The trees were crushed as everyone hit the ground like the paint Digimon from before crashed through the trees.

"Oh, not again!" Tai shouted as the giant Digimon went towards his friends.

The giant Digimon flies around and tries to attack Tai, but luckily, Koromon launches an attack. Pink sticky bubbles hit the Digimon. However, his attack isn't strong enough, and the brave Digimon gets knocked down.

Just as the Digimon was closing in the other Digimon attacked with the same pink bubbles but they got knocked down as well.

"Sunmon!" Max called out.

"Tanemon!" Emi called out.

Max and Emi, along with the others, rushed over to the Digimon, picking them up and holding them gently. 

"Tanemon, are you okay?" Emi asked, concerned.

Tanemon looks at her partner weakly."I'm fine, don't worry," She said.

"That was reckless," Max stated. 

Just then, the ferocious roar of the large Digimon rang through the air. They all look at the trees and see the Digimon snap its pincers in anger. They all ran towards Tai at the edge of the cliff, scared for their lives.

"I was hoping we had seen the last of him," Sora said.

"Me too," Tai said."Guess he had other plans, huh?"

"Ugh, I knew I should've brought my bug spray, " Matt said as the Digimon got closer to the group. 

"It taken tons of bug spray for a bug that size," Max said.

"Okay, get ready to run," Tai said.

"No, fight!" Koromon said, making Tai look down at the Digimon I surprise and disbelief."That's right, it's the only way. Stand and fight," He added. 

"Give it up, will you," Tai said.

"He right," Yokomon said.

"We can do it! Let me go," Tsunomon said in Matt's arms.

"Yeah, we can do it, we can do it," Tokomon said, trying to break free from Tk's arm. 

"Let me go! Let me go!" Bakuamon struggled.

Mimi looks down at her green Digimon that walooks don't on Emi's in her arms."Tanemon, you too?" She asked, which she nodded.

Max glanced at Sunmon and then back at Emi, touched shoulder with a nod before they walked in front of the other and placed Sunmon and Tanemon down.

"What are you  doing?" Mimi  asked.

"Sunmon,  Tanemon, even if chances are low in victory, the fight is only the beginning of the adventure," Max stated. "Digimon, it time to fight!" He shouted, clenching his fist as Emi nodded. 

"That right if big brother willing to believe then so doI," Emi said

"It's useless! Yokomon!" Sora yelled. 

"Don't go, Monitmon!" Izzy shouted. 

"No,wait! Don't do it, Tsunomon!" 

"Don't go," TK begged. 

"Turn around! Come back, Bakuamon!" 

"Tanemon, be careful, " Mimi warned.

"No, don't Koromon!" 

"Be careful, Moonmon, and Bakuamon," Sarah and Lusy said.

All of a sudden,beeping sounds came from their digivices on their belts. A black cloud formed above them, and light shined all the Digimon. 

"Koromon digivolve to... Augmon!"

"Yokomon digivolve to... Biyomon!"

"Montimon digivolve to.. Tentomon!"

"Tsunomon digivolve to... Gabumon!"

"Tokomon digivolve to... Patamon!"

"Bakuamon digivolve to Gomamon and Syakomon!"

"Tanemon digivolve to... Palmon and Floramon!"

"Sunmon digivolve to... Coronamon!"

"Moonmon digivolve to.. Lunamon!"

When the light fades eleven , the new Digimon appeared where the smaller Digimon once stood.

 "What? Look at them. What happened to the little guys?" Sora asked.

"They're bigger," Tai gasped. 

"I'm guessing that light was a power-up, causing them to get a power-up,"Max said.

"Why are four that were the same end up different?" Emi asked, seeing her Tanemon was different from Mimi, same for Lusy  Bakuamon.

"Some Digimon must have more than one possibility to turn into," Sarah said. 

The eleven attack but were thrown down.

"Aattackedht, you've asked for it!" Agumon shouted.

"Poison Ivy!" Palmon yelled as she stretched her purple finger vines and wrapped the large Digimon's leg.

"Boom bubble!" Patamon yelled before he sucks in a gulp of air and released it in a powerful blast hitting the Digimon head-on.

"Super Shocker!" Tentomon said as his wings created sparks of electricity, which shocked the Digimon. 

Gomamon rolls under the large Digimon and topples it over.

"Alright, stand back, everyone. Pepper Breath!" Agumon boots out a balk of fire at the dig.

"Blue Blaster!"

Spiral Twister!" 

The two attacks swirled together and hit dead on 

"Crona Knuckle!" Cornramon said, landinIn the punch on the Digimon head. 

"Luna Claw!" Lunamon yelled, landing a scratch and causing Kuwagamon to back into a fallen tree. 

"Rain of Pollen!" Floramon yelled as she released polheardfrom her flowers, making Kuwagamon rush off in the forest. 

Everyone cheered,running  towards their Digimon, smiling and laughing.

Cornramon and Floramon run up to Max and Emi and jump into their arms.

"Wasn't I awesome, Max?" Cornramon asked. 

Emi giggled." You were great, Cornramon, and so were you Floramon," She said, smiling at her Digimon.

"Yes!" Cornramon and Floramon cheered. 

But the celebration was cut short as they heard Kuwagamon roaring once again. 

"Watch out!" Sora yelled. 

Tai and Agumon run towards the others just as Kuwagamon rammed its pincers into the ground. Before they knew it, the ground  broke  underneath, causing all of them to fall towards the water below screaming.

Here we have it the official second chapter of book 1 of the Digimon Adventure series. In this chapter, we meet the Digimon partners and there rookie forms as they attempt to back their partners from harm's way.The next chapter the DigiDestined adventures continue in the digital world.
