Skylar was sitting in the waiting area of gate 42. The red-haired girl had a book held over her face. She was pretty gripped on reading a story with a boy who recently discovered that his parents worked for a secret government agency. That works alongside aliens. She couldn't imagine how life would change for her. If she found out, aliens exist.
Skylar placed her book down for a moment. When she realizes that she could somewhat relate. Especially since she was a digidestined. She had seen things that a lot of people would call her crazy. If they learned that, she believed that there was a whole other world pretty close to Earth. That was on the digital networks.
Skylar looks out the window beside her. To see the plane coming up to the boarding passenger tunnel. Skylar stood up from her seat. Excitement flooding her very body. As she was about to see one of her best friends. She hadn't seen her in so long.
X
Mimi was staring outside of the window when the plane was connecting to the passenger tunnel. "Oh boy, this flight sure did take a long time" She murmured to herself.
Mimi looks up as a blonde flight Attendant stood up from where she sat, and got onto the intercom. "This is flight 442 we welcome you to Tokyo. Again, we apologize for the pilot stepping out for popcorn during the in-flight movie."
Mimi deadpan a little. It was a little nerve wracking that the pilot decided to step out of the cockpit during the flight. She could still remember the sounds of panic whispers around her. When the plane twirled to the side some. Thankfully she was able to keep her nerves. She guessed being a digidestined was able to keep her nerves in check.
The short brown hair flight attendent stood up from her seat and quickly walked over to the blonde haired one. She gave her a gentle tap on the shoulder. She whispered something in her ear. Before the first one handed over the intercom reciever. "Will the owner of a grey 747 parked outside the window please report to the cock pit. Your lights are on."
With that announcement the door to the plane opened up. The passengers all stood up and began gather their belongings.
Mimi reached up and grabbed her bright pink suitcase. Attached to the handle was her white digivice.
She started to follow the other passengers. When she walked through gate 42. She had to sheild her eyes some with her hand. "It's so bright out, and I'm wide awake! What time is it?" She asked aloud. Reaching down to grab her digivice from her suitcase. Realizing her digivice would still be set for New York time. She looks over at a nearby clock. "8:54 in the morning? I'm still on New York time!" She changed the time on her digivice. "There. Now I'm caught up. Oh, *yawn* I'm exhausted! I wonder where Skylar is."
She looks around the waiting area. To see Skylar racing over to her. The red haired girl having her arms outstretched.
"Mimi!"
A huge smile spread across her lips as she saw her friend. "Oh my Skylar! It's so good to see you." The pink haired girl raced forward and the two friends embraced one another tightly.
The two friends pulled away from one another. And Mimi couldn't help but asking the first question that came to her head. A playful smile forming on her lips and raising one of her eyebrows. "So how is your relationship with Joe going?"
Skylar's face instantly turned to a dark red. She covered her face to hide her flushed cheeks. "Why do you always ask me this question!?!?" She asked loudly.
Causing a few people to look over at them a little puzzled.
X
Inside of David's house. Davis was dead asleep. The goggle head boy was covering his entire body with his blankets. It was a Saturday after all. Why did he even need to wake up.
During his sleep, Demiveemon was climbing up Davis's blankets. A worried look was across his face.
"Davis, wake up! We're going to be late. If you keep sleeping in." The digimon worridly spoke. The tiny little Digimon poked his cheek. Trying his best to wake him up.
Davis let's out a little snore. Obviously not waking up from the little pokes that his partner digimon gave him.
"Davis! Davis! Davis! Davis! Davis! Davis! Davis!"
"Hmm? Uh..." The boy rolled over and tried to wave away the little dragon digimon. Trying to get some more sleep.
Demiveemon hummed a little bit trying to think of any other ideas. Until a brilliant plan came up.
"Davis! Kari is here to see you!" He said with a sing song voice.
Davis immediately sat up in bed. His cheeks burning at the thought of his crush coming to see him. He hope that she wouldn't find his cluttered room distasteful. He meant to clean the other day. He looked around the room trying to spot her. Until his eyes finally landed on the giggling Demiveemon.
"Good morning! Sleep well?" The Digimon asked with a warm smile.
Davis groaned as he placed a pillow over his head. Feeling like he just got punked. "Uh, yeah...until I heard all that screaming! The next time I tell you to wake me up, try to be a little quieter so I can get some sleep!" He complained. He wish he didn't use his crush's name either to get him awake. That was a dirty move.
X
Cody was worridly looking around his house for Upamon. He couldn't find his partner digimon anywhere"I turn my back on him for one minutre and he disappears. Upamon! Where are you? Upamon! Hm? Upamon?" He had checked his room. The den. And the living room. He quickly rushed into the kitchen. To finally spot Upamon sitting on the counter.
"Cody!" Upamon cheered as he finally noticed the young boy.
Cody crossed his arms over his chesf. "How many times have I told you not to wander around the house? Mom might think you're a rodent!" He pointed out quietly. Finally realizing himself, that he should be quiet too.
Upamon looks over at a black tray that had some sushi rolls on it. "I think your mom's making us some candy over there!" He spoked excitedly. "I could smell it earlier, and I wanted to check it out."
Cody raised a brow. "Candy?" Cody looks over in the direction of the tray and he shook his head. "That's not candy, it's sushi." He explained.
"Does it taste like candy?" Upamon asked curiously.
Cody shook his head once more. "Not really. It's seaweed and raw fish."
Upamon grimaces. "Yucky! I'm not really fond of fish."
Cody chuckles softly. "That was my first reaction, too. Although after trying it a few times...and kind of drowning them in soy sauce. It's pretty good."
X
Kari hummed as she looked down at the doughnut selection in front of her. Lisa Heinz was patiently waiting for her to make her selections.
"Oh wow there are many delicious doughnuts here!" She marveled brightly.
The eleven year old girl had a gym bag slug over her shoulder. Which Gatomon was currently safe inside of.
"I think I would like to take one of everything. My friends and I are going to be throwing a picnic today. So might as well bring enough for everyone to enjoy." She grinned.
Lisa chuckled as she began grabbing one of each dounught with a plastic tong. "Jeremy was telling me about that last night. He was pretty excited to get some free time to hang out with his friends."
"I have to admit, I have been looking forward to this pinic all week." She agreed.
Kari paid for her doughnuts and made her way towards the school.
X
Simon was humming softly in the kitchen as he was busy putting up the final touches to the cake he was making. Making sure the frosting on top was layered properly.
Chicchimon was watching him closely. "You truly seem to know your away around the kitchen"
Simon chuckled as he placed the piping tube down. "You see, I had to learn at a young age how to cook. So thankfully YouTube had to become my teacher." Simon scratched his cheek somewhat. "Or...my sister may have poisoned me over the years."
Just as that sentiment left his mouth. Oliva had made her way into the living room. The older girl was rubbing some sleep out of her eye. "I would have what Simon?" She asked with a loud yawn.
Chiccimon took this que to quickly fly behind the toaster. Trying his best to keep out of her view.
Simon felt a little flustered since his sister caught him. "U-uh...well I" the boy held his cell phone to his ear. "You see...I was explaining to Davis. On how I learn to cook."
Oliva raised a brow. As she scratched her right side. "Mhm..." The girl went into the kitchen to stand next to him. "You see Simon. The next time you want to complain about my cooking, it would be best to make sure I am not in the room." She teased.
Simon blushed as he gave a gentle nod. "Sorry sis"
The boy placed the cake in a large container. "I left a peice of cake for you in the fridge." He exclaimed to her.
"Aww thanks mi hermano. What kind of cake is it?"
"Chocolate cake, with penutbutter filling."
Oliva seemed to hold back her excitement. "Ooo that's honestly my favorite."
X
T.K. was rushing past his mother who was siting at the kitchen. She was typing up a report on her laptop. "I'm leaving now mom, I'll be back later."
His mother gave a gentle wave. "Alright sweetie, be careful while your in the digital world." She called after him.
"Oh, and one more thing! Patamon!" T.K. opened up his backpack to look down at his partner digimon.
Patamon peered back up at him with a grossed out look. "Could you hurry up? Your gym socks from yesterday are in here!" He complained.
TK sweatdropped at this news. Feeling a little embarrassed that he forgot to pull them out. "Sorry, I forgot!"
X
Jeremy was in his bedroom. Checking his gym bag for his supplies that he is bringing. "Let's see, I have the food, the utensils, and the plates." He spoke to himself. "Now where is Elecmon?"
The fourteen year old look around his room for his digimon. Who peeked his head out of his closet. "I was hiding in the closet." The rookie digimon admitted a little embarrassment was hinted in his voice.
Jeremy felt a little puzzled. "Why?" He asked.
Elecmon rubbed his arm sheepishly. "Because your mother walked in with this strange machine that made this loud noise as she rolled it across the floor. It was some strange monster." The rookie digimon shivered.
Jeremy laughed at this news. "That's called a vacuum cleaner, it's not a monster. It cleans up the floor." He explained.
Elecmon blinks. "Oh..."

Yolei was walking around her parents store. The lavender hair girl was gathering food and drinks in her Backpack. "Okay, mom, I think I'm packed. Besides the usual, I'm taking potato salad, macaroni salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, fruit salad, and three-bean salad."
Yolei's mother was looking down at a inventory sheet in front of her as Yolei spoked to her. Before she shook her head and said. "Actually, it's only two-bean salad today. I was out of the third bean." Her mother placed a hand on her chin. " That's an awful lot of food for one girl to have for lunch."
Yolei shrugged her shoulders. "I told you, mom. I'm having a picnic with the computer club today. So, I offered to bring salad for everyone!"
Her mother raised a eyebrow. "And who's paying for all this?"
Yolei grinned. "Yeah, I need to talk to you about that." The girl seemed to be walking towards her. "Talk to you later!" Yolei sprinted towards the door of the store. With her mother crying after her.
"Yolei, wait!"
Yolei didn't stop as she continued to run down the sidewalk. The girl peered in her Backpack. Which Poromon was stuffed in between food and drinks. The bird digimon seemed a little uncomfortable.
"How are you doing in there Poromon?" She asked with a soft smile.
"Sitting on this coleslaw's getting a little messy." Poromon whined. The small digimon took a sniff of a smaller container. "And what's in here that has such a fowl smell?" He asked with a grossed out look.
"Devilled Eggs!"
"PU!"
T.K. made his way over to Yolei. The blonde haired boy could smell the devilled eggs from where he stood. "Poromon's right, I can smell them from all the way over here!"
Yolei frowned as she picked out the container. "I guess the mayonnaise has gone bad. I knew I should've checked the expiration date." She threw it away without any hesitation

Mimi sighed softly as she placed her suitcase down in Skylar's bedroom. The two of them were discussing what the two of them were going to do together. As she visited.
"How about tomorrow we can go to the amusement park?" Skylar asked exicitedly.
Mimi placed a index finger against her cheek. "Sure I would totally be up for that. Especially if the Rollercoaster is still open." She chimed warmly.
Skylar held up a thumbs up. "You will be glad to know, that it's still up and running."
Mimi giggled. Before she sat down on the edge of Skylar's bed. A soft dreamy smile peering on her face. "Oh Skylar being back in Japan, makes me feel like I am back in the old days. I miss seeing Palmon and the other digimon. I just wish I had one of those newer digivices that those new digidestined have."
Skylar snapped her fingers as an idea came into her head. "Mimi! Oh my god"
Mimi blinked in surprise. As she raised and brow and asked. "What did you forget something at the airport?"
Skylar shook her head. Before she scooped Mimi's hands up in hers. "You should go to the elementary school and meet up with the new digidestined."
"Are you sure they are going to be there today?" She asked hopefully. "I'm sure they only go if the digimon emperor attacks." She pointed out.
Skylar grinned as she held up her cell phone. "Jeremy told me that him and the others planned out a picnic. I think you should go!" The girl pulled Mimi up to her feet. "Maybe you will even get a chance to see Palmon again." She chirped.
Mimi felt a bit of excitement flood her being. At the thought of Palmon and her reuniting. It truly has been such a long time since she saw her partner digimon. She had been worrying about her ever since she heard about the digimon emperor.
"I definitely should go!" Mimi grinned before she went over to grab her digivice from her suitcase. She pocketed the device and turned to face her friend. "Why don't you come with me?"
Skylar sighed softly. "Believe me I would love to tag along." Skylar crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm just not really fond of Davis."
X
Jeremy was briskly making his way to the front of the school. Elecmon once again doing his best to stay hidden the best he could. By walking through the bushes. Jeremy waved his hand towards Davis and Kari. Who was waiting outside for him and the others.
"Good morning you two."
Kari grinned at Jeremy. "Good morning to you as well. I saw your older sister Lisa today."
"Oh? Did you happen to get something at the coffee shop?" He asked curiously.
Kari nodded as she held up a box full of doughnuts. "Yeah, I decided to pick out a box of an assortment of doughnuts." She mused warmly.
Davis crossed his arms as the two of them talking. He seemed rather eager just to get everything under way. "Shouldn't every one else be here?" He asked curiously.
"Just give them some more time." Elecmon announced from the bushes.
Kari frowned as she peered down at her d3. "Yeah, but they're late though." She pointed out.
Davis looks off into the distance. To see the other digidestined coming up to meet them. "Here they come now! What took you guys so long?" He exclaimed.
Yolei shrugged as she held her backpack close to her chest. "I stopped at a drinking fountain to give Poromon a bath. It's a long story."
Simon chuckled as he held up a food container. "Yeah, the poor little guy was covered in Devilled eggs."
Yolei gave him a death glare. While Simon snickered at her reaction.
Davis grimaced a little from all the talking. "Nevermind." He clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention. "Let's go!" Davis walks forward and opens the gate for the school. Peering around the entrance cautiously. "All clear. Now remember my plan, everybody: Crouch!"
Everyone blinks as Davis crouched down with Demiveemon. The two of them were trying to be inconspicuous as possible.
Elecmon raises a brow. "Uh? Do we really have to do this?" He asked a little taken back.
Yolei crossed her arms over her chest. "Listen, Davis, I know it's Saturday, and we're not really supposed to be here, but nobody is within miles of this place. I refuse to crouch!" She protested
Cody nodded to agree with her. "Actually, Davis, I don't think it's really necessary for me to crouch."
Davis seemed to ignore the two of them. Not seeming to noticed that no one else was croaching as they walked after him. The boy made his way to the front door of the school and quickly stood up. Giving a quick glance left and ride. Noticing the area seemed clear. He opened the front door with a grin. "Alright, I got us in? Am I the best, or what?"
Yolei and Cody exchanged glances with one another. "Uhh..." The two of them sweatdrop
X
The digidestined now found themselves in the computer. Yolei was tapping away at the computer that they all called their one way ticket to the digital world.
The digimon were all gathered in a corner listening to some music that Simon decided to play from his cell phone.
Chicchimon hummed on top of Simon's head. "You know, I feel like I heard this song before. But it sounded a little different."
Simon grinned up at his bird friend. "You have, I just love listening to Nightcore versions of songs. You see some people online will change songs up." The boy rubbed the back of his neck softly. "I sometimes prefer Nightcore versions of songs, over the actual song."
Yolei chuckled from her seat. As she pulled out her cell phone. "I would know better than anyone. You send me links to Nightcore songs all the time." She playfully teased her friend.
Davis looked out the window. His eyes scanning the gate. As if he was trying his best to make sure no one would find them up here. "Hey, I wonder if the digital world's open on Saturdays?" He asked outloud
Elecmon raised an eyebrow. "What? You think the digital world is some type of store, and we are only open during the week?" He chuckled.
Davis grumbled as he crossed his arms.
Yolei grinned. "Alright! I got us in! Am I the best, or what?" She laughed as she threw her fist into the air.
A knock from the computer room doorway. Caught everyone's attention. A pink haired girl stood at the doorway.
Davis seemed a little taken back. Because he could've sworn he was doing his hardest to keep an eye, and try not to be caught. He was so going to have to change his career plans of being a secruity guard.
Mimi blinks. "I'm sorry, but are you supposed to be here?" She asked
TK and Kari broke the spell as they both recognized the girl. "Mimi!" They both said exciting as they ran up to her with smiles.
Mimi smiled as she hugged the two of them.
"Oh I'm so happy to see the two of you. It's been so long."
The other kids looked between each other. Not recognizing her. "Mimi?" They asked each other in unison.
Mimi sighed softly. "TK? Kari? Skylar sent me her, she wanted to apologize for not being able to make it. She said something about not wanting to see a kid named Davis."
Davis whined from where he sat at the window. Skylar practically pushed him away again. When was he ever going to find a girl that was actually interested in him.
TK and Kari chuckled in unison. "That sounds about right"
"She can't avoid me forever..." Davis mummbled.
Mimi looks over in the direction of the digimon. But stopped when Simon rushed forward and grabs her by her hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance Mimi. My name is Simon Rodriquez." He places a kiss on the top of her hand. "You truly have an angelic glow about you"
Mimi chuckled softly. "Haha, what a flirt. It's a pleasure to meet you too."
Mimi gently pulls her hand away and continues her stride over to the digimon. Kneeling down to look at Elecmon. A look of sadness was crossing her lips. As an image of Leomon being deleted filled her vision. That image still haunted her dreams some nights. She couldn't help but blame her self sometimes.
If she could only stand up against MetalEtemon. Maybe Leomon wouldn't have died that die.
"Leomon... is that really you?" She whispered. Not wanting to believe it for a moment. Even though Skylar told her the happy news that he was not only back. But he was now partnered to a human.
Elecmon nodded softly. "Yes Mimi, I'm back. It's really good to see you again.
Tears filled Mimi's vision. Before she scooped the rabbit like digimon in her arms as she gave him a tight hug.
"I'm sorry...if I was only stronger back then...if I didn't acted like a spoiled brat-"
Elecmon stopped Mimi by wiping some tears from her eyes. "Don't blame yourself for what happened in the past. I don't harbor any blame towards you. If given the chance to do everything over again. I would spare my life to save you every single time"
Mimi nodded softly as she gave him a tight squeeze once again. "Thank you"
Mimi stood up from where she sat and wiped the rest of her tears from her eyes. Her happiness regaining as she stepped forward to Jeremy. "And you must be Jeremy. Skylar told me a lot about you."
Jeremy felt his cheeks begin to burn softly. He didn't realize why at first. But he felt a little nervous around her. But it wasn't a bad kind of nervous. Was...his hands becoming sweaty?
"Good things I hope." He laughed a little uneasily. His laugh sounded a little uneasy. Yolei who stood beside him gave him a raised brow. Before a surprised look cross her face. Before a smirk crossed her lips. Yolei seemed to know something he didn't.
Mimi placed her index finger to her cheek. "Well of course. She said that the two of you used to go to the same elementary school in America. And that you recently moved here in Japan to continue your studies in Middle school."
Jeremy shakily held out his hand for her to shake. And Mimi shook it with a warm smile. "You're really cute." She giggled. Before T.k. got her attention
"Davis, Yolei, Cody, Simon. I'd like you to meet someone. This is our friend Mimi. She's one of the original digidestined who moved to America!" T.K. introduced the newer digidestined to an old friend of his.
Mimi held up a peice sign. "I'm Mimi. I've set my sights on the fashion world or New York. But, don't think I'm just a strawberry-blonde beauty who knows she beautiful!" She winked
Yolei raced up to her. "Hi Mimi! Sora's told us all about you."
Mimi smiled. "I spoke to her, she told me all about you, too. (Mimi looks over at Davis) Skylar told me a lot about you too. "
Davis seemed to grow really excited at this news. "Really!? What did she say about me? Was it my dashing good lucks? (The boy started to fire of various traits that he believed he had) Or my good sense of humor?"
Mimi blinks a little before she stroked the back of her head. "Well...sadly ir wasn't good things." She tried to put him down gently.
Davis sweatdrops as he heard this news.
Mimi quickly turned her attention to Patamon and Gatomon. The two digimon were peering up at her from a desk that they sat on. "Patamon, Gatomon, how have you been"
Gatomon shrugged her shoulders. "Besides being stuffed in a knapsack like a wet towel, fine."
Kari held her hands together before she asked. "It's so good to see you. When did you get back?"
Mimi yawned a little before she answered. "Excuse me. This morning. Skylar met me at the airport and her parents are allowong me to sleepover before i fly back to New York, I was walking by the school and just had to take a look for old time's sake. I just walked right in. Someone left the gate open!"
Davis snapped his fingers together. "That was us! We had to sneak in, since the school was closed."
"Yep were considered convicted criminals now." Simon added with a wink.
"Huh?" Mimi blinked a little bit in surprise.
Davis nodded gently. "That's right! We all decided to go on a nice saturday picnic in the digital world!"
"Skylar told me, that you guys were planning to go." She pointed out.
Yolei raised her hand over her head. "Maybe Mimi can come with us!" She suggested.
"Don't you want to go back?" Jeremy asked a little flustered. He couldn't understand why his tongue felt a little tied. He's been able to talk to other girls perfectly fine before.
Mimi worridly looked at all of the kids in front of her. "I haven't been there in so long. Do you think it would be okay?" She asked a little worriedly.
Yolei nodded softly. "Of course!"
"Yeah it will be fun with a beautiful angel like yourself" Simon added.
Yolei rolled her eyes as she gently slapped the boy on the backside of his head. "Hey!"
Mimi giggled a little from this. "That truly brings back some memories."
Davis looks between his friends. "Yolei, Simon we didn't bring enough sodas for another person!
"Oh, no..." Yolei spoked sadly.
Jeremy shook his head. "It doesn't matter, we should still invite her. It will be fun"
"It's okay, she can have my soda!" Cody pointed out.
TK grinned "Mine too!"
Kari held up her hand. "And mine."
"She could have whatever she wants from me." Simon chuckled.
"Perfecto! Alright, let's go!" Yolei grinned as she made her way to the computer.
Davis placed his hands on his hips. "Great, now the rest of us don't have anything to drink..." he grumbled.
X
The digidestined and their partner digimon now found themselves in a jungle biome. Mimi was smiling as she looked around the giant landscape. Her hands clasped together as it truly felt like a second home to her now.
Davis peered around the area. "Look around. I don't see a control spire anywhere, do you?" He asked Yolei.
Yolei shook her head. "No siree! I did my best to pick a spot in the digital world. That no spire should be closeby." She pointed out.
"That's great. No battles, just a nice little day in the digital world." Jeremy sighed happily as he put his hands in his pockets.
"We should still be careful the digital world can look peaceful for one minute but then be dangerous in the next." Leomon exclaimed.
Davis frowned as he gently kicked some dirt. "Why do you have to be such a downer Leomon..."
Hyokomon held up his tiny sword. "He just wants to make sure you aren't getting yourself into trouble Davis"
Davis threw his hands up in exasperation. "When's the last time I've gotten myself into trouble!" He cried out.
Veemon frowned as he held up his index finger. "Wasn't that yesterday when you got yourself caught in the net"
Davis's face instantly blushed. "U-uh yeah...but it was an accident."
Mimi broke the spell as she quickly races foward. "How cool! I'm back! The digital world hasn't changed!" Mimi felt as if this digital world wasn't a dangerous place to her anymore. She also wonder if she'll get to see Palmon again.
Later on the ground walked further into the jungle biome. The group were walking through shrubbery and jumping over fallen trees.
"Digimon emperor?" Mimi asked aloud.
Simon nodded softly. "He has a goofy haircut and he wears shades that he thinks are cool." He pointed out.
Davis nodded to agree with him. "Yeah. He builds control spires, tries to take over the digital world, yadda, yadda, yadda..."
"Well, if there's no control spires, are we safe?" Mimi asked hopefully.
Hyokomon landed on Mimi's shoulder. "You wouldn't be in safer hands."
"Yeah! That's why we picked this spot to go on our picnic!" Yolei spoked up excitedly.
Mimi gigled as she looked around the jungle. "Gee, we never would have though about going on a picnic here in the old days. We'd be too worried about giant sized digital ants!"
"I guess you got in a lot of trouble." Jeremy asked curiously.
Mimi waved her hand a little. "Trouble is an understatement. We would get into trouble practically everyday." She laughed.
"So far, every time we've been here, it's been to destroy a control spire. But since it's Saturday, we thought we'd just come here to have some fun!" Yolei snapped her fingers.
Cody held up a wicket basket. "We should pick out a spot to lay out the picnic blacnket, and dish out the food!" He pointed out.
Leomon points a claw in an open clearing. "Maybe somewhere over there would be nice. It's not way out in the open. We would be concealed with the trees. "
TK grins. "That sounds great!"
Davis frowns as he looks at his friends. "No it doesn't! It's way to early for lunch. Let's keep walking." He protested.
Kari placed a hand on her stomach. "I am a little hungry..."
Davis blushed at this news. "I'm starved! Let's eat!"
TK placed his hands on his hips. "Why didn't I think of that?" He asked sarcastically.
"You're telling me TK. Davis seems to change his mind in a heartbeat." Jeremg chimed in. Before the two of them laughed together.
The group set up the pinic blanket and set the food down that they all brought.
Now that everything was all set up. The kids and their digimon began to enjoy themselves.
Yolei held up a small package to Mimi.
"I brought these from my parents' convenience store. You want some?" She asked with a warm smile.
Mimi's eyes began to water at the sight of the delicious snake that Yolei held out to her. "Is that what I think it is? A chocolate covered rice ball? I haven't had one since I was a kid! I love em! ohh!" Mimi quickly opened the box and quickly digged in. "Thank you so much!"
Everyone laughed.
Yolei looks over to her partner digimon. "What'll you have?" She asked.
Hawkmon pointed a claw finger to Armadillomon. "I'll have whatever Armadillomon is having."
Yolei looks over to the armadillo digimon. "He's eating sushi."
"Excellent. I'll have one sushi, please!"
Armadillomon stood up and grabbed a sushi roll from the container that Cody brought. "Coming right up!" He threw the food over to the bird.
Cody eyes grew wide at this. "No, never throw food!" He protested a little too late.
Hawkmon runs after the sushi roll. His arms outstretched as if he tried to call it back to him.
"Oh, come back little sushi!" Hawkmon cried.
Jeremy and Leomon exchanged worried glances.
"This looks like a start of a disaster. Come on Leomon." Jeremy gestured to the champion digimon. As the two of them followed after Yolei who was already running after Hawkmon.
"Wait, Hawkmon, it's just a California roll!"
"Yes, well it's rolling all the way back to California!" Hawkmon whined as the sushi continued to roll down hill.
"I have a bad feeling about this too...I don't like that they're going into the forest all alone." Mimi spoke to herself. As she quickly got to her feet and followed after them.
"Which way did they go?" She asked herself outloud. She cupped her hands over her mouth before she called out.
"Hey, Yolei! Hawkmon! Jeremy! Leomon!" Come-
She took a step foward and the ground started to break apart. Mimi let out a surprise scream as the ground gave out underneath her. "Ahhh!!!"
When Mimi came too. She saw Yolei was trying to wake her up.
Leomon and Jeremy were standing on either side of her. Looking down worridly at her.
Leomon held out his paw towards her and Mimi took it with a warm smile. The champion digimon pulled her up to her feet.
"Are you okay Mimi?" He asked
"Yes I'm fine, thanks." Mimi smiled warmly.
"Are you okay?" Yolei asked worridly.
"I hope you're not hurt." Jeremy softly spoke.
Mimi placed a hand on her forehead. "Last thing I remember...I fell."
Yolei nodded gently. "We all did. Look at that!" Yolei pointed off in the distance to show off a control spire.
Mimi blinked in surprise of the dark towar that was probably a couple of miles away from them. "What is it?" She asked a little puzzled.
"It's a control spire." Yolei answered with a frown.
"No way..." Jeremy shook his head softly. "I thought you said there were no control spires in the area."
Yolei looked over at him. "I thought so too. But I guess the digimon emperor found a great way to find it from us. Under the jungle biome." She pointed out.
Hawkmon balled his fists. "That means this area is controlled by the digimon emperor."
Some red eyes appear in the forest along with some noises. The group took an uneasy step back.
Mimi eyes grew wide as she notices this. "Something tells me those aren't tail lights in a parking garage..."
Jeremy held his fists up. As he tried to stand in between Mimi and Yolei. "I have a bad feeling about this."
Leomon pulls out his sword and snarls at the red lights. "Show yourselves! "
Out of the bushes a group of Gekomon and Otamamon omerged. The lot of them were all chatting together in unison. "Princess Mimi! Princess Mimi! Princess Mimi!"
Mimi gasped in surprise at the group of digimon. A warm smile forming on her lips. "Relax! They're just Gekomon and Otamamon!" She tried to reassure the others.
Leomon puts his sword back into its holster.
Yolei raised a brow. "How do you know?"
Mimi clapsed her hands together. "Because they're my friends!"
Jeremy sighed in relief as he put his hands to his side. Seeming to relax a little. "Oh that's good. Maybe they can help us out."
Hawkmon however didn't seem to relax as he noticed the dark rings the digimon were wearing. "They don't look too friendly! Not while they're wearing those dark rings!" He pointed out.
Everyone gasped when they finally noticed the rings.
One of the Gekomon pointed a webbed hand towards Mimi. "Get her!"
The Gekomon and Otamamon raced foward.
Causing the digidestined and their partner digimon to run off in the other direction.
"Ahh!"
"Gosh, Mimi, if these are your friends, I'd hate to see your enemies!" Yolei whined.
"Just keep on running!" Jeremy called over to Yolei as he tried his best to be heard over the chanting.
Leomon narrowed his eyes. "The Dark rings are controlling them! We need to destroy the dark spire. As long as their controlled, they are our enimes. "
Mimi frowned as she kept up with Yolei. "It's not thir fault!" She protested. I wish Palmon was here to protect me!
"Poison Ivy!" A voice sounded from the shrubbery.
Purple vines wrapped around Mimi's face.
"Palmon?" Mimi asked aloud.
Mimi was dragged into the shrubbery. Which the others quickly followed after her. Finding a plant based digimon waiting for them. Which Mimi knew as her partner digimon Palmon.
"I thought you needed a vine!" Palmon giggled.
Tears started to form in Mimi's eyes. It had been so long, since she saw her partner. Today was truly becomint such an emotional rollercoaster. "Oh...Palmon!!"
"Mimi!"
Mimi and Palmon hugged tightly as the two of them cried.
"Oh, I'm so happy to see you!" Mimi whined as she stroked the back of Palmon's head.
"I'm happy to see you, too!" Palmon responded to her.
"I've never been this happy in my entire life!" Mimi cried out.
"I've never knew what happiness was until today!" Palmon continued.
"Please stop. If you get any happier, I'll start to cry." Hawkmon called out to the two of them.
"Uh...I'm caught in your vines!" Mimi chuckled as she tried to pull away from her friend. But noticed her vines were kind of tangled around her.
"I'm caught in your hair!" Palmon pointed out.
"On three. Ready? 1...2...3!"
Mimi and Palmon were finally able to pull away from each other. The two of them smiled between one another.
"Enough reminiscing, Mimi, we've got trouble. This area is called the NightForest. And the digimon emperor has taken control of all the Gekomon and the Otamamon." Palmon quickly explained to Mimi.
Mimi narrowed her eyes as she gave a curt nod. "I know! We have to destroy the control spire! And I've been living in New York! Compared to getting a taxi, it should be a piece of cake!"
Palmon nodded softly. "You're the best, Mimi."
'Then let's destroy that peice of junk and get out of here." Jeremy said with a warm smile.
"It won't be that easy." Leomon warned as he tried to look through the wilderness around them. Expecting Gekomon and Otamon to appear any second.
Yolei nodded to agree with him. "But, we can't destroy the control spire alone. I don't even know if the three of us and our digimon can handle it."
Hawkmon sadly nodded. "You're right. We'd better contact the others and let them know where we are."
"Right!"
"That's a good idea." Jeremy agreed with her.
Yolei pulled out her D-terminal and began typing away.
X
Everyone else was walking through the jungle biome. The group were trying the best to find their friends that went missing.
Patamon and Hyokomon took to the skies to try to find them. But so far had no luck.
"Hawkmon! Yolei! Jeremy! Leomon! Mimi! Where are you guys?" Davis cried out.
"Hawkmon! Yolei! Jeremy! Leomon! Mimi! Where are you?" The others yelled as well.
Davis stoped walking and chuckled to himself. "Ha...huh, this place has some echo!"
Kari frowned at him. "Oh, boy..."
X
Jeremy was standing beside Yolei as she stared down at the D-terminal in her hands. "I'm trying to get through to Davis, but so far, no luck!"
"Well looks like we're stuck..." Jeremy spoked sadly.
X
A
soft beeping noise was heard from Davis's pocket. The boy quickly pulled out his D-terminal and opened it up. To see a signal coming from Yolei's device. But he couldn't get an exact trace of where she was. "It's from Yolei, but the signal's kind of weak!"
TK worridly looked at the device. "She must be nearby, but in what direction?"
Cody frowned. "The Digimon Emperor must be blocking the signal."
Simon gritted his teeth. "Doesn't this man now that it's the weekend. We should've gotten a day off" He groaned.
X
The digimon emperor was sitting at his desk. Peering up at the various screens before him. Keeping track of the two groups that were now split up from each other. A laugh escaped his lips.
"What a wonderful way to spend the weekend! Getting rid of unwanted weeds in my garden. Wormmon!" He laughed. He finally was getting what he wanted. If he could split the group up. He could pick them off one by one.
Wormmon who was dusting up a screen. Peered his head over to him. "Yes master?"
The digimon emperor called out to him. "Who's the digimon du jour?" He asked curiously
"The roachmon brothers."
The digimon emperor smirked as he leaned back in his sit. Resting his gloved hands behind his neck. As he got comfortable. "Summon them immediately! They're staying at the roachmon motel."
X
Yolei shook her head. "There's no answer."
Jeremy sighed sadly at the news. "What great luck we have."
From the bushes two roach digimon stepped out. The were humanoid like. And the two of them both were sporting sneers.
The one on the left chuckled. "No answer? We didn't even hear the question! We hope we're not bugging you."
Mimi and Yolei both cried out at the sight of them. "Ahh! Roaches!" They cried out in terror.
Leomon pulled his sword out of his holster. "Don't worry they won't be here for long. "
Palmon and Hawkmon gasped in surprise. "It's the roachmon brothers!" They announced in unison.
Jeremy shrugged his shoulders. He used to collect bugs when he was younger. "You know...I don't know why people are so scared of Roaches." He spoke to himself.
The first roach digimon pointed a finger to himself. "I'm roachmon."
The other one crossed his arms over his chest. "And I'm him twin brother, roachmon."
"I use my garbage dump attack to trash my enemies." The first one pointed out.
The twin brother snickered. "And I use my yard sale bombs to wipe out my opponents and clean out my garage!"
The brothers turned to each other. Looking a little annoyed with each other. "That's all? I thought you said there were going to be more!"
The first one shrugged. "So sue me, I heard wrong."
"Is it really that hard to write down a message?"
The first one stomped his foot on the ground. "Next time, you take the call!" He snapped angrily
Yolei held up her index finger. "Um, excuse me, but do you always argue?" She asked aloud.
Jeremy nodded softly. "Yeah it's a little annyoing"
The two Roachmon snapped their heads in their direction. "The Roachmon brothers do not argue. Now stay out of this!" He snapped at them.
Yolei held her hands up. "Sorry, go ahead."
"Continue" Jeremy agreed.
The first brother growled at his Twin. "I think I should use my garbage dump attack to finish them off." He shouted as he threw his hands up in the air.
"That's rubbish! I'll just use my yard sale bombs on them and we won't even have to bargain!" The twin fired back.
Mimi held her hand. "How about neither?" She suggested.
Jeremy nodded. "That's another good idea" he exclaimed.
The twins looked over at them with a scowl. If looks could kill they all would probably be dead at that moment. "The Roachmon brothers are not going to tell you again! Stay out of this!" They shouted angrily.
Mimi frowned as she answered. "It was just a suggestion."
"Roachmon, I've got an idea! Why don't we use both attack?" The second one suggested.
"Roachmon, that's the first smart thing you've said." His Twin agreed.
"Garbage Dump!" The first one pounced into the air with a garbage can that appeared out of thin air. Tons of garbage fired out of the can and coated the digidestined and their partner digimon in trash.
Mimi cried out in annoyance as she picked a banana peel out of her. "That's it! This is a designer blouse!" She growled.
The roachmon laughed at their grossed out looks.
Yolei peered over at Jeremy. "What now?"
Jeremy narrows his eyes as he reaches for his D3. "We fight."
Before he could do anything a paino falls from the sky in between them.
Mimi eyes grew wide in terror from the paino that fell from the sky. "Sorry, I don't play."
Jeremy sweat droppped. "Maybe...we should run..." he suggested.
"That might be a well idea, when your opponents can throw things heavier than you are." Leomon agreed
"Ahh!" Mimi and Yolei screamed as the whole group started to sprint away from the twin brothers.
"Yard Sale Bombs!" The twins shouted. Various junky items started to fly around the group.
Leomon reached out and gently pushed Jeremy out of a way of a blender that almost smacked him upside the head.
"Uh...thanks Leomon" Jeremy grunted. He didn't want to tell the lion that he was almost shoved to the ground.
As Mimi ran she quickly reached into her pocket and discarded her digivice. "Palmon, digivolve!" Mimi expected for her digivice to start to glow with the familiar green light. But nothing happened.
Palmon peered up at her sadly. "I can't until the control spire is destroyed!" She explained.
"The dark spires keep digimon from digivolving." Jeremy added on.
Mimi frowned. "I don't get it. How is Elecmon able to digivolve when we teleport?" She asked a little puzzled.
"All the digimon do when we are transferring over. We only go to the human world in our rookie or in training stages." He pointed out.
One Roachmon growled to his twin. "They were ten feet away and you missed!" He yelled out in frustration.
The other punched his brother in the shoulder. "I missed? You missed!" He protested
Jeremy stopped in his tracks and looked over at Mimi and Yolei. "Gosh they argue just like my brother Max and I. Maybe I should try to be a little more nicer to him." He mummbled to himself.
Yolei stroked the back of her head. "Boy, for being brothers, those two sure do argue a lot." She said aloud as she looked between the two of them. I'd be happy if my siblings were Jeremy and Mimi. We would be quite a happy family.
Yolei began to daydream of her and Mimi wearing ballgown dresses.
"Mimi, you're my beautiful sister!" Yolei stated as she grabbed a hold of Mimi's gloved hands.
"Yolei, you're beautiful, too. And we live in a beautiful house with a beautiful garden...life is beautiful!" Mimi agreed with her.
Her daydream soon fell apart when Hawkmon tapped her on the shoulder.
"Yolei, I don't mean to interrupt your daydream, but this is a rather precarious situation. Don't you think it's time?"
Jeremy was already pulling out his D3. "Yeah we better put on our amour."
Yolei nodded to agree with him. The two of them shouting out in unison. "Digiarmour Energize!"
"Hawkmon, armor Digivolve to..."
"Leomon armor digivolve too..."
"Flybeemon! The fighter of knowledge!"
"Beserkmon! The lion of protection!"
"Hold on Yolei!" Flybeemon quickly grabbed Yolei by her shoulders and flew high up into the sky.
"Alright, let's go!" Yolei cheered her partner digimon on.
"Let's take those bug boys on." Berserkmon growled.
Mimi marveled at the two armor digimon before her. "Boy, that armour digivolving is so fashionable!" She shouted
"Fly spark!" Electricity started to form in the midst of Flybeemon's wings. Shooting out a blast of electricity into one of the Roachmon's faces. Leaving it blackened.
His Twin brother laughed at his brother's misfortunes.
Beserkmon barred his fangs as he smacked his paw into the ground. "Earth's protection!" The ground started to shake as spikes shot up and smacked the Roachmon brothers into the air.
"I feel like someone just set off a bug bomb." One brother whined in pain.
"Nevermind that! There's two of us too!" The twin fired back.
"Roachmon fly swatter!" The twins shouted as they flew off in the direction of Flybeemon.
"Here they come again!" Flybeemon called out towards the lion digimon.
"Let's get ready for them." Berserkmon agreed as he pounced over into the nearest tree and quickly climbed to the top.
"Roachmon exterminate!" The brothers cried as they both held out their hands to create a garbage can.
Mimi clasped her hands together. "Huh? That's it! I've got an idea! Those Roachmon don't seem to be too smart! You can use them to destroy the tower!"
"That's a good idea Mimi!" Jeremy agreed with her.
Yolei grinned as she was being flown around. Able to hear the plan that Mimi made up. "Perfecto!"
"Come on, Jeremy and Palmon, let's get ready!" She gestured for the two of them to follow.
Yolei gasped as the two of them were flying closer to them. "Here they come!"
Berserkmon smirked behind his wooden mask. "Right into my trap. Earth's cradle!" The lion held out his paw as a giant slab of rock appeared in front of the brothers. Causing them to try to slow down
"That was a close one!" One brother cried out. Before his brother crashed into him and both of them hit the rocky surface with a cry.
Mimi hummed as she watched this happen. "Since these guys aren't too bright..."
Mimi reached into her purse and pulled out a flashlight. She shone the light into the Roachmon's eyes. Causing them to cry out in surprise and crash into the dark spiral.
"Now?" Palmon asked with a warm smile.
Mimi nodded with a chuckle. As shw held up her digivice. "Now!"
Mimi's digivice glows a bright green.
"Palmon, digivolve to..."
Bright light started to surrond her partner as she begin to grow.
"Togemon!"
"Needle Spray!"
"Fly spark!"
The two attacks caused the brothers to be crushed further into the control spiral. Causing cracks to begin forming in the foundation of the dark tower.
"Earth's protection!" Beserkmon snarled as he pounced forward and smacked both his paws into the ground. The spikes shot up and struck the cracked spiral. Causing it to fall over like a tree.
The twin brothers cried as they held onto each other as the spiral fell.
X
The digimon emperor shot up from where he sat. A snarl plastered on his face. "My spire! Ugh! They've destroyed another one of my control spires. Talk about a wasted weekend." He begin to storm out of the room. With Wormmon looking on after him. "I'm going home. Lock up when you're done." He called out over his shoulder.
Wormmon sighed happily. "It's about time. Now I can watch my saturday cartoons."
X
A beep could be heard from Davis's D-Terminal once again. "Hey, it's Yolei's signal! It's coming in clear!" He pointed out
"That's a good sign! It must mean that they were completely able to destroy the control spire in that area!" Cody exclaimed.
Davis grinned. "Alright! Way to go, guys!"
X
The small group found the twin brothers climbing out of the rubble of the control spiral. Just in time to see the dark rings falling from their arms.
Mimi seemed to relax as she noticed this. "Now they'll be friendly."
"Hopefully" Jeremy whispered.
Yolei nodded. Not wanting to fight with this garbage like creatures anymore.
One Roachmon groaned as he rested a hand on his forehead. "The last thing I remember, we were at the motel."
The twin brother nodded. "Yeah, we were out by the pool and you took my towel!" He growled finishing his sentence.
The twin shoved his brother. "Well, you ate the little chocolate they put on the pillow!" He protested in annoyance.
"I put those chocolates on the pillow! I brought them from home!"
"From home? Those were my chocolates in the freezer!"
"It's my freezer!"
"It's my house!"
"I'm paying rent!"
The roachmon started to wrestle around with each other as they argued.
The digidestined and their digimon watched the two rolling around the area. With surprised looks.
"Well even without the dark rings, they are still pesky annyoing bugs." Leomon pointed out.
Yolei sighed as she held out a hand towards them. "It just goes to show you. There are some families where they're better off having only one child."
Mimi chuckled as she rested a hand on her shoulder. "You're right Yolei. And in a case like this, they shouldn't have kids at all."
Yolei nodded. "I think it's time we left these two alone."
"Sounds good to me!" Jeremy chimed in.
As all of them begin to walk away from the twin Roachmon.
"You stay on your half of the house!" One cried out.
"And you stay on yours!" The twin fired back.
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
X
Yolei led the way in the jungle. Before she finally notices Davis and the others heading in the direction. Yolei gasped as she waved in their direction. "Here come Davis and the others!" She called out to her friends.
"Yolei, Hawkmon, we're over here!" Davis called out to her.
The group's met over in the middle.
Simon crossed his arms over his chest. "Bro, it's no fair that you got to spend such a great day, with beautiful girls" Simon mummbled to Jeremy
Jeremy scratched his cheek as he chuckled. "Yeah...but we also ran into a roach problem."
Mimi raced forward as she noticed Gekomon and Otamamon were with the others. All of them seemed to be okay now.
"They told us you were back, Princess, but we didn't believe them!" Gekomon said to her. Tears of joy started to appear in the frog's eyes.
One of the Otamamon nodded. "Princess Mimi, we have been waiting for the day that you would return to us!" He cheered
Togemon gently tapped Mimi on the shoulder. "Mimi?"
Mimi looks over at her partner digimon. "Togemon?"
"I will protect this area. You can count on me." Togemon grinned as she held up her boxing gloves.
"I've always counted on you." Mimi reassured her partner.
Davis raised an eyebrow at the cactus digimon. "Who's that?" He asked a little puzzled.
Yolei pointed a thumb over at Togemon. "That's Mimi's digimon, Togemon!"
"Togemon is one cool digimon" Jeremy pointed out.
The digidestined now stood in front of a computer. Waving at Togemon and the Frog digimon that surronded her.
"Togemon! Call us if you need us!" Davis called to her.
"Goodbye, Togemon!" The group called out.
Togemon rubbed one of her eye holes with her gloves. "Don't make me cry! Rubbing my eyes hurts too much."
The group laughed at this news. Before they all held out their digivices and were pulled through with their digimon.
X
The digidestined were now outside of the school. The sun was setting as Mimi began to walk away from the newer digidestined. She had such a wonderful day.
"See you later Mimi." Elecmon waves after her.
"Bye Mimi!" They all called after her.
Mimi stopped in her tracks to wave back at them. "Bye everyone! Thanks for a great picnic! Bye!" She began to walk again.
"Oh, Mimi?" Yolei called out to her.
Mimi stopped once again. "Hmm?"
Yolei began to blush softly. "I wanted to say...when I get older...I wanna be...Just like YOU!" She called out to her.
"Huh?" Mimi chuckled at thus news. Before she winked. "Hmmm...ah! Perfecto!"
As Mimi walked off. Yolei leaned over to Jeremy and gently elbowed his sides. "So...someone has a crush huh?"
Jeremy felt his face burned. "Wha...me? Have a crush on Mimi?" He asked embarrassed.
Simon chuckled as he turned to the two of them. "Come on bro. It's so obvious. You acted so flustered around her." He added.
Jeremy held up his hands. "I-i mean...she is a pretty girl and all. But I'm not really sure if I'm her type."
Yolei and Simon exchanged glances. "We hear wedding bells already." The friends chuckled.
Jeremy buried his face into his hands. "Ugh...you guys are so embarrassing"
"Come on! You know you love us!" They teased
