A/N: Hi guys, I'm sorry for disappearing for so long but I lost a beloved member of my family recently and it took a huge knock on me.

I've been battling depression and writer's block and I couldn't bring myself to write anything. I don't know how but I managed to write a new chapter for this story and my other one so that's progress, I guess.

I haven't abandoned the story and I WILL finish it. Here's a new chapter for you guys in the meantime. Thanks.

"Oh come now, girls" Liyana says with a mocking pout, "Jadenna, don't tell me that you're still upset about your little lover" she adds.

"Don't let her get in your head" Sam says to her sister. Jade inhales and exhales deeply as she fought the urge to kill her mother where she stood for what she'd done to Kim.

Sam pushes Jade to the side when Liyana hits them with a ball of magic.

The ball bounces off the shield that Sam had placed protectively in front of herself as Jade started casting her own spells as the two sisters went head-to-head with their mother.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

Marina screams bloody murder as she felt the power of the Phoenix coursing through her veins, causing her eyes to glow orange and veins.

She felt like she was being burned from the inside out.

She's never tapped into more than 20% of the phoenix's power but Sumelion's witches were essentially unlocking the door that she's always fought so hard to keep under lock and key as Rina thrashed about in great pain.

"Keep going, I can feel it!" Sumelion roared at his witches as they resumed with the spells.

Rina exhales deeply before the binds holding her down melt like butter in the sun as Sumelion turned to face Rina in shock at this.

"I-Impossible" Sumelion remarks as he watched Rina destroy the magical binds that had been pinning her to the concrete slab that she had been strapped to.

Rina's eyes were trained on Sumelion as she reached out a hand and grabbed Min's throat as the witch tried to mutter a spell that would help her only for Rina to squeeze her neck tightly and crush her windpipe as the witch fell to the ground with a thud.

Sumelion attacks her less than a second later as the duo crash into the rocks of Stonehenge.

Remus had underestimated how dangerous, lethal and deadly Godric and Eric could be when they were together and he tries to use Rina's screams of pain as a way of distracting Godric from their fight but rather than allow the pain his mate was in to weaken him Godric did the opposite.

Telling himself that as soon as he killed Remus he would be a step closer to Sumelion and on getting revenge on those who took his Rina from him and caused her so much suffering.

Remus' end did not come nearly as fast or as easy as Eric or Godric would have wished but it was certainly painful enough as the maker-progeny duo ripped him apart limb from limb.

Eric ripped his left leg out first before he and Godric ripped his arms out next as they tossed his limbs aside as Eric held him in place so that Godric could make the final kill.

They would probably look like a terror from hell dripping in blood as they were.

Eric could see his maker, the boy Death, when Godric approached them.

It was amazing to him how different Godric's savage alter ego was from the vampire that he now knew.

The thought that Marina inspired Godric's savagery made Eric like the idea of her with his maker a little better.

"A-Appius Livus Ocella will forever live...i-in you!" Remus says to Godric with a cruel and bloody, taunting smile right before Godric savagely ripped his head from his shoulders, coating them in even more blood.

"Go maker, I'll destroy him" Eric says to him as Godric dropped Remus' head onto the ground without a single change in his facial expression before heading over to where he smelled Rina's scent coming from.

"Julian!" Sookie shouted as she watched the Alpha of the pack of lycans sink his teeth into Julian's throat.

She shoots the other werewolf with her photokinesis powers, blasting him a few feet back as she prepared to head over to Julian to help him but Claudette stops her.

"Sookie no!" she says, "he's been bitten. It's too late for him now!"

"We have to try and help 'im!" Skokie argued stubbornly.

"He won't be able to tell friend from foe now" Claude says to Sookie. "The nicest thing to do for him is free him from the misery by showing him mercy and killing him" he says.

"He's Marina's friend and I know that she'd do anythin' ta help 'im so I will too!" Sookie argued defiantly, "ya'll can either help me to help him or ya'll can step aside!" she adds as Claude sighs at this.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

Rina was weak as she fought against Sumelion and she could feel her body weakening with each hit that she landed on his body as he grabbed her in a choke hold before throwing her to the ground as she screamed loudly when she crash landed into the ground forming a dent all around her as she did.

She's barely able to move out of the way right before he tries to stomp on her and push her deeper into the ground.

"I am the destroyer!" he bellows furiously as Rina stood weakly and staggered a bit, wiping blood from her mouth as they faced off. "I will take what is owed to me!" he roared furiously as he started glowing again from the little power that he has inside him.

"Nothing is owed to you, you crazy son of bitch" Rina says to him. "I am the Phoenix Queen, not you!" she shouts as she started to glow, "I AM THE PHOENIX QUEEN!" she says, gesturing to herself as she spoke. "YOU WILL KNEEL OR YOU WILL DIE!" she added in a voice that was far harsher and colder than her natural voice.

"So you have finally come out to play" Sumelion smirks amusedly before taking off toward her at a speed faster than the human eye can see.

Marina turns her body slightly to the side as he moved to punch her before kneeling him in the gut as he groaned in pain at this before she punched him as hard as she could, resulting in him landing a few feet away with a bit as she gave him no opportunity to recover before flying toward him.

She grabs ahold of his foot and slams him into the ground, forming a dent at this and he kicks her back before landing a few feet away as he glared daggers at her.

"The Phoenix is mine!" he shouts furiously, "and I'm not about to let some newborn human who has barely lived take that opportunity from me. I will not be cheated AGAIN!" he bellowed furiously.

The two charge at one another before engaging in hand-to-hand combat that was too fast for the human eye to catch as Rina broke Sumelion's leg while he landed a harsh kick to her side that would have shattered her ribs had it just been her fighting and not the Phoenix inside her aiding her.

The fight between Liyana and her daughters had been serious and neither side underestimated the other.

Liyana threw Sam into a wall as she crash landed with a painful grunt only for Jade to knock Liyana back with a powerful spell of her own before approaching her furiously as a ball of fire appeared in her hand.

"J-Jade d-don't" Sam croaked out as she sat up at this, feeling a little disoriented from knocking her head against the wall.

"So you're gonna kill me for your little girlfriend then, Jadenna?" Liyana questions her daughter as she sat up and met her eyes.

She's never seen Jade look at her with this much hatred before.

"Do it" Liyana challenges her daughter, "make the final kill" she says. "Do it!" she shouts as Jade screams angrily at this as she moved to attack her mother as Liyana opened her arms in expectation.

Liyana is surprised when Jade's ball of fire hits the spot next to her instead as she opened her eyes to meet the eyes of her daughter when the dust had cleared.

"The only reason" Jade says with tears in her eyes, "that I don't kill you right now" she resumes, "is because I'm not you" she adds, "You're alive because of my mercy, Liyana" she says as Sam limped over to them.

"Then you're weak" Liyana spits out at her. "Just like your grandmother" she adds.

"That's enough from you" Sam says, knocking her out with a spell and a wave of the hand.

She places a comforting hand on her sister's shoulder to ask her if she's okay and Jade offers her a small nod at this though she doesn't look away from their unconscious mother.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

Godric bursts into the room where he smelled Rina's scent the strongest but was shocked to find that she was nowhere in sight.

"It can't be" he says, searching around frantically for his beloved Marina.

According to her scent she had to be somewhere in this room but she was nowhere in sight. Eric appeared at his side a few seconds later, sensing the great distress of his maker via their bond.

"I can smell her but I cannot see her" Godric says to him.

"Maybe we can help with that" Sam says as she shoved her mother into the room.

"Where is she?!" Godric demands, looking like a truly terrifying sight covered in blood as he was as he grabbed Liyana by the throat. "WHERE IS SHE?!" he demands, starting to lose his cool as Liyana tried to claw at his hand but to no avail.

"She can't speak if you choke her" Sam points of to him before snapping her mouth shut when Godric directs her with a look so chilly that it could freeze Antarctica twice over.

"I won't ask again" he says to Liyana, releasing her windpipe enough for her to croak out the words: "mirror plane".

Godric turns to face the 2 sisters for an explanation.

"Where in the mirror plane?" Jade asks her mother in slight panic.

"S-Stonehenge" Liyana replies.

"Fuck!" Sam exclaims at this before unlocking the illusion that hid the large body size mirror in the room as she rushed over to it.

They can see Rina and Sumelion fighting but when she tries to enter the mirror plane she finds herself blocked.

"What the hell is happening?" Eric asks them, watching the sight before him in shock.

He doesn't think that he'll ever get used to the things he's seen ever since he met the Kingsley siblings and the Sinclair siblings.

It was like watching a movie on a TV, except it was through a mirror instead of a TV and the fighting actors were actually Marina and Sumelion.

The latter didn't hold back as he fought against her, crushing her hand as she screamed bloody murder at this.

Rina crash lands rather painfully less than a second later as Godric shouted for Sam and Jade to do something but no matter now much they tried to unlock the locking spell that kept them from entering the mirror plane they found themselves unable to do so.

"Tell us how to enter" Sam says to her mother, "tell us or I swear I'll finish what Jadenna started!" she shouts at her mother, who stared back at her with indifferent eyes. "Tell us!" she demands furiously.

Eric moves to kill the woman but Jade stops him.

"I know how to do it" she comments in realization to the others, "bring her here" she says to Eric who brought a struggling Liyana closer to her daughters.

"Unhand me, you filthy creature!" Liyana struggled against Eric but she was no match for his strength, especially since her daughters had placed magic restraining cuffs on her wrists.

"Cut her hand and press the bloody hand against the glass of the mirror" Jade says as Eric did so as the mirror glowed as Jade started to mutter a spell as the mirror started to glow brighter and brighter.

"What the–?" Sam whispers in shock at the spell that she'd never seen her sister ever perform before in all the years that they've been alive.

"You didn't think I'd know it, did you?" Jade says to her mother as Liyana spits at her feet. "For someone who claims grandma was weak you seem to have no problem stealing this spell from her" she says to her mother before slowly pushing her hand into the mirror, where it actually disappears.

She jumps into the mirror and into the mirror plane less than a second later as Sam follows with Godric while Eric guarded Liyana so that she could not escape.

"Marina!" Rina hears Sam shout. She sounded like she was coming from a distance away but Rina weakly turned her head to face her friend as blood fell from her nose. "I know that you might be afraid! That you might doubt that you can do it but you can!" she adds, "just dig down deep within yourself and you'll realize that you're strong!" she shouted in encouragement before she, Jade and Goddic went head-to-head with those of Sumelion's witches that remained.

"NO!" Sumelion bellows furiously when he notices that the eclipse in the sky was slowly ending and one side of the moon was red while the other was returning to its original colouring. "I will not be cheated again!" he shouted angrily. "If I cannot have the power of the Phoenix for myself then you won't either!" he stated, grabbing a weak Rina by the throat.

"Y-You want the Phoenix so badly, Sumelion?" Rina asks him in a weak whisper, "Take it" she stated before grabbing ahold of his head and giving him the power as he screamed at this.

"T-Too much!" he screamed as Rina projected more of the Phoenix's power into the man. "It's too much!" he added as he pushed her away from him before falling onto his knees as the power of the Phoenix started to eat him up from the inside.

It was too much power all at once.

Rina weakly sat up as she watched his body start to glow orange and as vessels started appearing all over his body as he screamed in pain.

He screams and screams until his body literally bursts from the power of the Phoenix that was inside him as Rina shielded her face from the explosion when he exploded into a pile of blood, guts and gore, causing her to retch at the sight before her eyes.

She's seen a lot of things but seeing someone explode like a balloon in front of her is on a whole other level.

She gasps loudly when the power and energy of the Phoenix started to attach itself to her again as she screams in pain at this as she started to levitate off the ground and thrashed about when she felt the power attach itself to her once more.

This time it was lot stronger than ever before. No doubt because the Phoenix power was finally whole after a fraction of it had been with Sumelion for so long.

"Ahh!" Rina screamed in pain, trying to control the full extent of the Phoenix power.

"Marina!" Godric shouted in concern as she fell to her knees and clutched at her stomach.

"N-No" Rina croaked out as she gestured for him to stay back. "Stay back!" she added in a growl-like voice that sounded nothing like her own.

"What's happening–?!" Godric shouted to Sam and Jade in distress, watching Rina curl into herself.

"It's the Phoenix power!" they admit to him.

"It's too much all at once!" Sam shouted. "Rina, listen to me!" she shouted over Rina's screams of anguish as her skin started to glow. "You can control it!"

"We don't have time!" Jade shouted, "we have to help her now, Samaat!" she added as her eyes glowed silver as Sam followed suite as Rina started to glow brighter, surrounded by a powerful energy.

The two sisters started muttering spells as Rina started to glow even brighter as she released a shrill scream when she threw her head back and a bright burst of light came from within her, bursting into a blue inferno.

"Shield your eyes!" Sam shouted as they all did as demanded while Rina screamed when silver chains formed around her wrists when Jade started chanting louder and louder as Sam joined her.

Rina struggled against the chains as the sisters hissed at this as blood fell from their noses. They cried out at feeling the phoenix fighting back against their magical binds.

Godric knew that he could not open his eyes unless Sam and Jade told him to do so but he could hear the sound of chains rattling and what sounded like a shrill, bird-like shriek as Rina fought against the magical chains that were trying to subdue her true power.

Rina cried out less than a second later when the chains around her wrists went from glowing silver to glowing black as her phoenix was finally subdued.

She collapsed onto the ground less than a second later as Sam and Jade finally stopped their chanting and Godric opened his eyes when the wind had settled and the dust had cleared.

Godric is surprised to see that Sam and Jade weren't the only ones standing near Marina anymore and instead there was a third person present.

"Atala" Sam says, shocked to the see the former Phoenix Queen there.

"She needs to get to Azareeka" Atala says to them, "or she'll destroy everything. Both in this world and the one of mortals" she added as they nodded in understanding at this as Godric flashed over to them.

He immediately pries Marina from off the ground and finds that she was running very hot.

Hotter than any human, werewolf or shifter ever could.

"We have to take her to Azareeka before she wakes up" Sam explains to him. "It's the only way" she informs him solemnly.

"You can help her so that she is no longer in pain?" Godric asks them, looking pained at the idea of once again being parted from the woman that he loved when he's just gotten her back.

"We can" Jade admits.

"Unfortunately you cannot join us" Atala comments in a clipped tone as all eyes land on her. "Relinquish her to us, vampire" she says, extending her arms for her daughter.

Godric appeared to struggle with this choice for a few seconds before eventually handing the unconscious Rina over to her mother.

"Stand back" Atala says to him as he did as directed. "Lokan zamobi!" she shouted as the unconscious Rina, Jadenna and Samaat all disappeared in a bright burst of light in the blink of an eye.

Godric is thrust out of the mirror plane less than a second later and then the mirror that he'd entered shatters into a million fragments before bursting into flames.

Godric isn't really surprised to find that Liyana was no longer present in the room with Eric either.

"One of the people from her mother's land took her away" he explains to Godric when he sees the questioning look in his maker's eyes.
